"Good catch,"
"Thank you!" The pair closed in on the object, now obviously a comm buoy. That was pretty tricky of them, thought the Ithorian. They really need to work on their math, though.
"Alright, listen up Gold Squadron-"
Three blips appeared on Joran's scope just as Gold Leader started...
Joran pushed his Aeon to maximum throttle to mach his partner. The Commander's voice replayed into his headset, much clearer this time. "Keep a close eye on your scanners. They've probably got their own buoys around, if we find those we can hopefully find their base, and cut off communications."...
Joran couldn't believe it! It was the first time he had ever even fired at another ship, and he got a kill! Not a kill, he reminded himself. If I had killed her, I'd be in a lot of trouble. But itis close. He slowed his ship down substantially.
"Nice shooting," came the praise over the radio...
Joran Kebila went over his preflights. Then he went over them again. And then he went over them a couple more times. It wasn't so bad being on the Charros, but once he was out the launch bay, there would be only a few centimeters of duranium between him and the Void. In his opinion, making sure...
A buzzer went off in Joran's cockpit, indicating that his computer had achieved a lock on the other ship. The Ithorian let fly one of his missiles. Before he could open up with a volley from his cannons, however, Jillian's movements threw him off enough that he delayed firing, and his laser...
"I would," Joran replied. Round two, thought the Ithorian. I need to last longer this time. She knows I'm here, so I can't try stealth again. He looked around the cockpit, searching for answers that he already knew he wouldn't find written on a button or painted on the metal somewhere. He hung...
"Yeah, I think I'm going to have to agree with you there, Commander."
The Ithorian pulled out of the disasterous roll and flew level on Jillian's plane at a cruising speed. "You got my shields all the way down, and scorched my paint a little there, too," he paused. "I think you got me. Can we go...
Joran quickly realized his mistake and uses his attitude thrusters to point his nose down so that he could have some semblance of evasion while he powered his ship back on. He made a mental note that you couldn't hide your heat against the cold of space, something that hadn't come up in the...
Joran Kebila figured that he was starting to get the hang of the Aeon. While the controls were not identical to those in he CZ-01, they were similar enough to figure out, and he threw the nimble interceptor into a few loops and tight spins to get the feel for the craft on the way to the...
I feel like I am just sitting on my character while waiting for missions postings on my faction thread, ao I was wondering if anybody had some tips on writing a character building thread. Could it be as simple as "An Ithorian walks into a bar", or should I try to find something that would speak...
It is a good plan, don't get me wrong. And if the Brass says to do it, then I'll shoot down buoys or clear orbits or provide air support until I run out of stuff to shoot at or I'm tangled in a pile of burning starfighter, but my opinion is that it is still to soon for a hot war.
