tbh, I have no idea what could be the difference. Maybe the calibre of two is too small to list them as cannons?

It is listed separately on Wookiepedia, the main differences to my eye are the gun mounts and size. One being fixed forward-facing, the other possessing a range of fire in a forward-facing arc, but able to turn to the respective sides @AutoFox
