BIOGRAPHY

Born on Corellia, Tacitus was an only child for only a few years before his little brother came along. Their mother wasn't around for much longer after this, meeting with a violent end that neither of the brothers would understand the nature of until they had grown up. In reality their mother had been gunned down by enemies of their father, who was a semi-successful gangster on Corellia, big enough to make a lot of credits but not big enough to be untouchable.

Growing up with a rather thuggish gangster for a father, Tacitus took a couple lumps from his old man so that his little brother wouldn't have to and, sometimes, just because he couldn't keep his lip in check. Outside their home however, Tacitus was the biggest kid on the block and most of the people in their immediate neighborhood were rich kids with silver spoons in their mouths that he spent years shoving up their arses instead so he could steal their credits. This lack of a challenge led him to lower levels of the planet, closer to the docks, where he wasn't the hardest kid on the block by default.

That's where he learned how to work for it, getting himself into fights first for fun, then to learn and, finally, to make credits. Making credits and building up his reputation became his driving motivation outside of making sure that no one dared to lay a finger on his little brother - unless his little brother slipped up, in which case the beating would teach him something. His credit-driven mindset helped them out a lot when their father was gunned down by rivals and they were suddenly lacking any funds they could lay their hands on from his estate and people gunning for them.

Taking the credits he had saved from thieving and fighting, he bought a ship from one of his friends down at the docks and made tracks away from Corellia. Bouncing around the Galaxy with his brother as a hired gun, he pushed to become something slightly more legitimate and started up a protection business with his brother, acting as bodyguards for their legal clients and a protection racket for their less than legal clients. Along the way his brother convinced him to bring Bri along with them as a long-term bodyguard contract that kind of snowballed into being far more personal than that.

Personality

Tacitus is, at first glance, a brute of a man who is willing to do anything it takes to advance his own agenda, no matter how evil or twisted it actually is. Violence is something of an old friend of his that used to be his first resort but after many years it has finally become his second resort behind a more business-first orientated mindset. He usually comes across as rather quiet except when he feels he's in a position he can loosen up - which will have him joking and drinking, often around his brother.

When he has been angered however, Tacitus reverts to using violence as his first resort and he does it with gusto. To Tacitus there is no such thing as overkill and when he sees red it does take him quite some time to come down and calm himself without his brother's intervention. In the limited time when he is allowed to be alone or, at least, away from the business interests he likes to relax and be rather unflustered by pretty much anything that doesn't interact with those interests.

Skills

Brains - Tacitus isn't what most people would assume a great thinker to look like but he's actually something of a well educated kind of guy. Not only did he get the most out of his more limited formal education but he found an appreciation for reading both fiction and non-fiction titles. One of his fields of study was actually ethics and he has some skill at persuading people to see things his way using his natural intelligence.

Bruiser - Before he became more of a businessman and "Genius Bruiser", he was just a bit of a bruiser. Like his brother, Tacitus was a little shite of a kid and teen and spent a lot of time getting into fights. As he got bigger, he hit harder, smarter and faster until he was a fairly accomplished fighter, which he often used to make credits when he was struggling for them.

Businessman - Spending time counting the credits and scheming, he has spent many hours long into the night analyzing his business interests with his brother. Although he is something of a fairly honorable man, this honor is not something he ever considers when it comes to business. Profit and status are all that he cares about when it comes to business.

Beguiling - A combination of natural good looks, intriguing tattoos, intelligence and charisma makes Tacitus the kind of man that people find themselves drawn to. With their attention on him, Tacitus has displayed the ability to convince people that his argument is more persuasive than it otherwise should be. He often uses it to flirt with people to gain information from them or an advantage in business talks.
