This thread is open to all Sith. It is a follow-up to the events that occurred in the Dathomir portion of this thread. I will be making DM posts every 48-72 hours, but even if you can't make a post every round, feel free to join and post when you can!

It had been years since the events that had taken place on Dathomir and ultimately launched Renfry into the rest of the galaxy. What had happened was likely unknown to many and understood by even fewer.

The specter of a long-passed Nightsister called the Forgotten had drawn foreigners to Dathomir for the purpose of using their energy to stave off something even worse. She had termed it "the Entity" though little more about it was known than that. It was said to consume worlds in cold and darkness and would have destroyed the universe. At least that was how the story had gone.

The reality that they had seen was that after the Forgotten was banished, something had happened to drive the Entity back.

It was only through a great deal of painstaking research that Renfry had discovered a lead that might place them on the path to the Entity.

Now, you may be thinking to yourself "who would want to track down a massive, cold, dark Entity on the edges of space" and the answer to that is "cold, dark people from inside normal space." This was a potential source of power.

She had acquired a replica C70 cruiser that was now filled with members of the Sith Order. Outside the ship swirled the orange glow of a nebula, fourth of the major hazards the Sith had bypassed on the way into the Unknown.

Out the front, she could just make out a planet in the distance, and the moment she saw it, an uneasy feeling crept up the back of her neck. There was no question in her mind that there was something down there and whatever it was dwarfed even her power.

We'll be on the ground soon. Everyone ready, she said to the others gathered. She had no doubt they would be able to sense... whatever was out there as well.

So was this like some Sith Retreat?

Tiamat wondered how many even knew what that meant, often talked about in the core and with citizens of more natural stature compared to the followers of the dark side. A group would get together do business while at some remote location and though it sounded like a mission, calling it just a mission sounded dreadful and boring. From the brief that Renfry has passed on to them, this actually sounded more intriguing to the redhead than just a hide and seek like some of them she had been on in the past. Though she wasn't sure how well a group of Sith like this would get along, she guessed things weren't too bad when they worked together on Moraband back when Malicia was conquering Old Sith space, but she was off doing her own thing then.

What made this even better was she was able to pilot, taking the cruiser through some of the most dangerous and unknown parts of the galaxy. She walked from station to station on the bridge, carefully reading the hyperdrive readouts and the sensors. It was not a smooth ride in the least, one that should have made her more nervous than normal. Regardless, their journey despite being treacherous, had them arrive safely at their unknown planet. Tiamat watched the swirl of dark clouds and a small smirk pulled on her lip, finding it quite eeriely beautiful. She heard the announcement from Renfry as she ship was taken down through the atmosphere, another unsteady journey, short, and even shorter if navigated carelessly as they looked for a place to land.

A chill ran down her back, but she welcomed it, naive eager to see what Renfry had brought them to experience.

A shiver ran down her spine as they approached the planet, which brought her to the bridge. The colorless planet was still far off in the distance, but she too could feel the energy from whatever was down there. It made her uneasy, and she'd been around some pretty potent sources of the Dark side recently.

"We'll be on the ground soon. Everyone ready."

Malou stood off to the side, watching Tiamat check on the various stations. She'd only ever piloted a TIE Hunter, and she was curious to see what Tiamat was checking on. She couldn't make any sense of it at the moment, but that was fine. There were bigger things for her to be concerned about at the moment.

When Emryc heard that Tiamat was in charge of piloting, he turned on his heel and walked in the clear opposite direction. Luckily for Renfry, he had more tolerance for her than he did with others. And so he was convinced to help, especially as the two of them had stumbled upon the Forgotten before. This endeavor held history for them both, even though it was one of the few things that made Emryc genuinely uncomfortable. The thought of being possessed again made him nervous.

Naturally he was seated in the back of the proverbial bus amidst the passenger seats. There was a cloud of smoke around him as he smoked a joint of rolled up spice in the very back. He was careful to tilt his face away when he was taking the hits, but he needed to calm the nerves. Emryc didn’t have any appearances for at least a week and this strain of spice would be out of his system by then.

The half Sephi tilted his head back against his seat, sniffing a bit and closing his eyes. Anyone sitting around him would be subjected to a contact high. But fortunately, they would begin to feel relaxed and elated as a result.

Beneath the helmet his eyes were bloodshot and glazed over, but he was in a good mood.

Darth Asminys had spent the majority of the journey into the unknown in solitude. The faint thrum of engines had been his sole companion as he now meditated in a small bunkroom just outside the passenger area. The Sith Lord floated softly above the deck, legs crossed, palms down on his thighs with his eyes closed. Utterly still. Aside from a small vein that twitched on his bald head as he roiled with anger underneath the surface.

His thoughts whirled in a chaotic maelstrom that would only make sense to the hate filled Sith. He had many things to consider. His failure at Byblos. The blur that followed. Gnashing fangs and broken memories. A new set of legs that were of a more accurate fit. Almost all of it circled back to one person, who dwelled now as an enigma in Darth Asminys' mind.

An errant thought snuck away from Asminys as a cloying odor filled the cabin. Asminys chased the thought down within his mind, following it to a sucking void within his psyche that was entirely unfamiliar to the Sith. He knew his mind well. This was new.

Nostrils flaring, Asminys opened his eyes. The whites reddening to a glassy sheen as he looked about the small room before noting the faint drift of smoke seeping out of the vent. An unfamiliar sensation eased through the Sith Lord as he rose from his floating seated position. The door hissed open at his approach and Darth Asminys stepped into the hallway, marching over to the passenger cabin.

His eyes narrowed as he caught sight of the culprit.

"I should have known that stench was you." He muttered as he stepped into the room. The ship rocked around them slightly as they entered the atmosphere, rough turbulence battering the ship around in its descent.

Bir paced nervously in the cargo hold of the C70 as it dropped out of hyperspace, both of his hands pulling down on his leathery cheeks as he spun back and forth. Had he intended to be here? Of course not. He never intended to be anywhere. On this particular occasion however, it was not one of his habitual black outs that dropped him into the fray but rather sheer stupidity. Like a small child chasing after their ball into traffic, Bir found himself enthralled by a small womp rat that had scurried on board prior to take off. Ah, at least he was here on a full stomach.

Of course, those in attendance as well as their objective was completely unknown to the Kel Dor. It was not fear of who was here or what was to come that brought him his share of panic but rather, the repercussions of the being uninvited. Time would tell, it seemed.

Poking his head out of the cargo hold and preparing to make his presence known, Bir soon spotted the spice smoking @Darth Raze ( @Sreeya ), causing him to turn on his heels and back into the hold, his breathing shallow and rapid. Tunic-less as usual, partnered with his tattered trousers and cloak, Bir looked down to his bare feet and took notice of his heart beating at an unbelievable rate. Quickly scrummaging through the crates around him, he would locate a pair of combat boots that he would slip on and cinch tight before throwing his hood over his head and taking a deep breath to collect himself. Then, and only then, would he step into sight.

”Forever the fool, I am, I am,” Bir muttered to himself as he quickly paced away from Raze and towards the mess hall but soon a call across the ship’s intercom system rang out.

“We’ll be on the ground soon. Everyone ready,”

It was the voice of Darth Andruil, a woman Bir had only heard of but had not yet met. Here he was, mistakenly on an unknown mission with the strongest of the Order.

”Poodoo…” Bir whispered, his eyes wide with distraught. "Not again..."

Morgan wasn't sure he liked all of this. As much as he enjoyed studying strange phenomena and aspects of Force, especially lately, the mere concept of this 'Forgotten' and 'Entity' duo had him on edge. An ingrained caution made him wary, but curiosity and ambition still spurred him forward. So, naturally, Darth Stolas had shown up armed and armoured.

Renfry seemed to have some idea or other as to what was going on but perhaps Morgan simply lacked the cultural context for some of her explanations. He assumed more of them would make sense of over time, or at least he hoped so. The mixed scents of a great many Sith filled the ship and hit his nose, especially as he hadn't bothered putting on his helmet yet, as well as something more specifically familiar from his boyfriend. Morgan tilted his head slightly toward where Emryc was sitting but didn't comment.

Instead his senses spread out from the ship toward this force of whatever it was they were approaching, his eyes closed as the ship began to enter atmosphere. Something told him this was something important. Generally speaking Renfry did not exaggerate on the important of magical matters. He felt a shiver of anticipation and what he recognized as fear work its way down his spine.

"Well. This is sure to be interesting," Morgan commented dryly, eyes opening as the ship rocked roughly once more. At least they hadn't crashed into anything. He paused, and rapped this knuckles against the wall by him.
"Tiamat, what sort of place in space is this?"

Amon sat in the passenger section of the ship where Red was and smoking his joint peacefully. At first, they had sat by each other but when the spice had been ignited, he decided to move a couple of rows ahead into his own space. The effects could still be felt enough because of his proximity but it wasn't impairing. There wasn't any hate between him and spice, he had just done so much of it that it no longer interested him enough to partake again. It didn't mean that he didn't appreciate the calmness that swept over him.

Having taken his friend's que, Amon was silent in his own claimed row, both of his arms spread out on top of the spines of empty seats beside him. Both of his legs were rested on the spine of the seat in front of him as well, one foot on top of the other comfortably. The Marauder's head was tilted back slightly with his eyes closed, his breathing even as he just sat there peacefully.

The silence wasn't so bad and he relaxed quite well until the door opened, the Sith Lord Asminyis calling out Red with a gravelly voice. A soft exhale came out from Amon's lips as his muted grey eyes finally revealed themselves, the silence disturbed. With a quick glance at the tatted Sith Lord, his head eventually and slowly returned to its original position as he closed his eyes once more. Just as quickly as they closed, the door opened once more and made them snap open, revealing a Sith that he didn't know loudly stepping into the room, reeking of fear. Without a word or any reason known to him, the Acolyte simply turned around and dashed out the door once more.

Amon just stared at the entrance, confused for a moment as he glanced around in order to wait for something else. When nothing happened, his eyes began to close, reaching about halfway until Andruil's voice broke through speaker com loudly. The Maurader snapped his eyes open and kept them open, bringing both his feet down to the ground with a sigh as he gave up and instead pulled out a cigarra, making it his new activity to replace his shut-eye. With easy drags, the cigarra was pinched between two gloved fingers as he waited for the familiar thud of a landing, using the buzz to occupy his mind.

Renfry made her way up to the front of the ship and peered out the front viewport. They broke into the atmosphere and things immediately became even more complicated. Flashes of lightning tore across the sky as they descended through the clouds and with it came pulses of electromagnetic energy. It surged through the system, oscillating the power dramatically to cause surges and cuts to the power. The ship would fluctuate between hurtling forward and all but dropping like a stone, forcing Tiamat to fight with the controls every step of the way.

Renfry all but slammed herself into one of the crew seats in the cockpit, grabbing crazily at the belts to secure herself. Everyone in the back - whether strapped in or not - would feel their guts drop with the ship, worrying they were all going to crash into the side of the planet. Some who were standing may even be flung from their feet in the chaos of the descent.

The trip down felt like an eternity, and when they finally made it to the ground, Renfry felt sick. Not a great way to start, but they weren't dead.

Oookay, she groaned, unbuckling and pushing herself up with a hint of unsteadiness. Good job getting us to the ground alive, she said to Tiamat before heading back to the back with the others.

It was quite the impressive team that had been assembled. From members of the Council all the way down to Acolytes. The amount that she knew them ranged almost as widely. Some she knew very well while others she had either said only a few words to or had never even met. They were simply the next up on the deployment roster.

In addition to the lightsaber and hunting knife on her belt she grabbed a small pack and slung it over her back, containing a variety of items she thought she might need in addition to her charged ritual knife.

She paused at the door to the exit. There was a feeling in her throat as if a hole had been opened up. A hunger was there that threatened to consume everything. Something was gnawing at her mind, and it wasn't from within herself. She wagered the others would feel it as well in one manner or another.

She took a deep breath in and hit the control to open the corvette's door, taking her first steps down the exit ramp and into the world beyond.

Her eyes swept over the landscape and everything about it was unnerving. It wasn't currently snowing, but the ground was covered in a layer of fresh white powder. Dark storm clouds swirled overhead with flashes of lightning still visible in the atmosphere, even striking the ground in the distance.

Over the surface of the snow were wisps of black smoke or fog that were inexplicable. They came up only a foot or two off the ground and seemed scattered and patchy. Beyond the short open plane of snow and black fog was a mountain reaching up to have its peak obscured by the lowest of the clouds.

At its base was a gaping mouth of a cave with a pair of smaller overhangs above that almost gave the impression of a face with the overhangs representing eyes and the cave itself a gaping maw. There was an eerie glow inside as if a fire waited just around the corner of the cave.

But more than what the eyes could see or the ears could hear, each of those here was sensitive to the movements of the Force. All energy was being sucked toward the cave, siphoning power and leaving the flesh chilled to the bone.

It looks like we have our heading, she said. This fog is similar to what was reported in the old tales about the Entity, she said, though her words didn't bring a great deal of comfort to anyone. Perhaps they'd all be smoking spice to calm their nerves by the time this was over.

Bir could feel the C70 enter the atmosphere as the hull first began to shake with the adjustment, the Kel Dor being brought to a complete stop. Through the sounds of the violent vibrations, the crack of thunder echoed through the halls and a sinking feeling told him that things were about to get incredibly dicey. Lights began to flicker from the power of the storm they were passing through and then as though the planet reached a hand into the sky and wrapped it’s fingers around the corvette, they began their incredibly rapid descent.

Unprepared, Bir was sent stumbling backwards down the hall. There was nothing to grab hold of immediately and as such he slid down the hall and back into the passenger cabin before he shot his metallic hand upward to wrap tightly around the door frame. As his body continued to hurdle past his anchor point, his metallic arm and shoulder went taught as he came to an abrupt stop. A screaming mouse droid shot passed him before impacting the wall at the rear end of the cabin, shattering it’s tiny body with a partnered digital scream. There, Bir would maintain his grip with a scowl as he waited for the inevitable end; be it landing or crash.

Once the shuttle was put down, undoubtedly only due to the skills of the women at the ship’s helm, Bir found a respite in the concern of his survival though it was short lived. Wherever they were, whatever they were doing here, something incredibly dark existed beyond the walls they had arrived within. It penetrated Bir’s mind, coaxing him from the confines of safety and out into the wild terrain that awaited them all, tantalizing him with profound curiosity and concern. As the Kel Dor brought himself to his feet, the call of the darkness guided him to the landing ramp in time to see Darth Andruil leading her team out into the open.

As Bir followed, he was greeted by a sight that was indeed alien to him yet also incredibly familiar. It almost seemed calm on the ground, save for the strikes of lightning that struck the surface, but the swirling storms above told an entirely different story. Then, of course, there were the wisps of black that hovered at their feet. Leaning down, the Kel Dor dragged his organic fingers through one such collection of mist and raised his hand to his mask. Inhaling, he expected a scent. Ash, maybe something putrid or rotting. Instead, he smelled nothing as his gaze lifted to the cave in the distance as it beckoned.

“It looks like we have our heading. This fog is similar to what was reported in the old tales about the Entity,”

Wiping his hands of the fog, Bir’s scowl only grew more defined as he looked onward. This world, it reminded him a great deal of Malheion with it’s powerful attachment to the dark side but this was something… more. He was in the middle of something he did not fully understand, was that the same for everyone else?

”Lead the way, Lady Andruil. Yes, yes. I will follow, yes, follow you I will,” Bir stated plainly, the mystery of what awaited them stepping on his typical enthusiasm.

At the sudden turbulence Malou was thrown from her feet, but like Darth Andruil she was able to catch herself on the back of a chair. She remained there for the rest of the descent, grasping firmly onto the seat as she maneuvered herself around until she was able to sit down and secure herself to it. Only once the ship had landed did she stand. The acolyte brushed down her robes and quietly followed the Sith Lord out. She passed by many of the others who had remained in the holding area, taking count of each one as she did. With the majority of the Sith lords here, did they have much to worry about?

Malou followed Darth Andruil down the ramp and onto the snowy ground of the planet. As soon as her feet touched the snow, she felt a chill run up her back and settle in her chest. It gripped her heart and gnawed at her mind. The feeling grew stronger as Malou's heart rate began to increase from the anxiety it induced. It was searching for something. Fear. It was feeding off of it. Malou took a deep breath and expelled the fear from her body. Whatever was out there, she wasn't going to give it what it sought. Call it brave, call it petty, or call it spiteful. Regardless, she wouldn't give in to it.

Her gaze expanded out into the planet before her, viewing the terrain before it as it was defined by the Force. A mountain laid before them, reaching up above the volatile clouds above them. At its base was the cave Darth Andruil first saw, glowing with the dark aura of the Force. Everything in her was telling her to turn away. Everything in her was telling her to leave. She could feel a hunger coming from it; she could see the density of the Force surrounding it. Suddenly, she wasn't so sure that the presence of the Sith council and lords would make this easy. It was dense enough that trying to peer into it was met with resistance, so she didn't try fruther.

"This fog is similar to what was reported in the old tales about the Entity."

Malou reached out her hand and, like Bir, took it into her hands. It spilled out of her grasp like it had weight, though it weighed nothing.

”Lead the way, Lady Andruil. Yes, yes. I will follow, yes, follow you I will."

Follow
. Malou returned her attention to the cave before them. She didn't want to follow. Her hand instinctively slipped to her belt where her sabers were clipped. Will I even need this? Whatever is in there... It would make breakfast, lunch, and dinner of her, that's for sure. With all of them? Maybe she should stick with someone, at the least. She had no idea what she was getting herself into. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger... I guess... Here's to hoping I come out of this alive.

Malou began to take the first few steps toward the cave, pausing only for a moment to see if anyone would remain behind, and to judge them accordingly.

There was absolutely nothing about this that Jaikus was looking forward to. While the Marauder did have a passion for archeological pursuits, the concept of ‘dark entities’ capable of ‘consuming entire worlds’ wasn’t a concept that he found particularly appealing. Still, he could not deny that there was potential source of power to be found in such a creature as Andruil described, and he knew that something of such potency could not possibly go unpursued by the Sith.

Reluctantly convinced to join the expedition, he had taken to sitting on the far end of the passenger compartment of the ship, eyes shut and his hands folded neatly in his lap. “Interesting is certainly one way to put it,” He muttered in Stolas’ direction as Tiamat brought the ship down for a particularly rough landing, her finesse as a pilot momentarily making the Axxilan wish he had partaken in some of the spice being passed around.

Stepping down the ramp of the corvette, the rush of cold air was enough to send a chill down the Marauder’s spine, citrine eyes scanned the surrounding frigid landscape. The Marauder had come equip in his standard
armor, albeit for the time being he had opted to remove the featureless mask that usually accompanied the ensemble. The cloak draped about his shoulders looked new, as if it been recently replaced compared to the rest of the pieces he wore.

Cold as it was, the temperature was not what really made the Axxilan uncomfortable. Like many others on the ship, he had been able to feel a presence clawing at the back of his psyche since they had begun to approach the planet, distant but unmistakably powerful. As they approached the cave, however, that presence was front-and-center in his mind, a gaping void that sought to consume everything it could.

Jaikus winced a bit, eyes narrowing at the eerie glow coming from within the cavernous maw ahead. “Do the old tales give us any hint of what is waiting for us in there?”

Emryc’s eyes opened when Asminys entered the passenger area. The half Sephi’s head never moved from being tilted back. It was difficult to tell whether the Sith Lord was even awake. Internally, he thought of Asminys, the blind girl and that Kel Dor acolyte that thought he was slick about poking his head in.

“The designated handicap zone is up front,” The Sith Lord said icily as he lifted his hand to wave it in a ‘shoo’ fashion towards Asminys. Emryc said nothing more, closing his eyes once more and going back to vibing. He pulled up his datapad to catch up on news that was some of the last transmissions he would be getting.

Not too long after that, the entire ship lurched and rocked. Emryc’s eyes widened as he gripped the armrests, grimacing beneath the helmet. He wasn’t entirely surprised by this with Tiamat flying. He half considered yelling at her through their bond, but he figured that would only make her kill them all on purpose.

After they landed, Emryc rose from his seat and walked towards Amon, clapping him on the shoulder.

“Your boy Riker is on injured reserve from the Krayts,” Emryc said gleefully, “He’s gonna be out the whole season. If you’re lucky they may tap Sauvage in, but otherwise you’re fucked brah,” A chuckle followed as he made his way towards the exit.

On his way, the Sith Lord almost tripped, catching himself by planting both hands on the doorway. Glancing down, he spotted that same Kel Dor from the party. Emryc wasn’t too thrilled that the marauder may have overheard him gushing about Huttball - a side of him he didn’t reveal too easily.

“Acolyte,” The tone Bir was all too familiar with addressed him as Emryc looked down at the man, “Why are you taking a nap right now?”

Thankfully the acolyte took a hint and shuffled off to join the others.

Emryc lazily walked in the back, stepping out on the cold surface. He could already feel the dark energies and the sense of dread. To him, it wasn’t entirely anything new, and he pushed his extreme discomfort about the whole situation aside for now. His height allowed him to look at everyone before him.

An entire row of Sith dutifully filing towards the creepiest looking cave ever. Nothing but great things could come from this.

She wasn't able to answer Morgan when he asked about the flight plan as they entered the atmosphere. What she could tell, there were clearly anomalies that were not defined yet, which exciting in discovery, but terrifying there was still much they did not know about the cosmic properties of space and travel. However, there was feeling that not all of it were defined by hard sciences and there was a mix of the Force and possibly other cosmic superpowers that could have its effects on such regions of the galaxy. Luckily she set up equipment prior to record the readings to be later analyzed. That was of course if they all survived this landing and hunt for the Entity.

The travel through the atmosphere was just as turbulent, electromagnetic pulses in the atmosphere pushed the ship to its limitations; she could feel the tension from the passengers, unhappy the ride wasn't as smooth as a Twi'lek's recently waxed left pectoral. Reflexes and instinct took over as the ship seemed to constantly reset from the power surges, emergency power diverted, other areas kept priority as she took the ship down all while the planet fought to keep them from landing. The redhead saw their path though, the Force willed to her vision as the ship eventually broke through the upper level clouds and winds and took it down to land.

Though most on the ship seemed somewhat frazzled by the journey, Tia glowed with excitement as she was ready to take the ship through that chaos a thousand times over, now knowing the safest route. She grabbed her pack and headed out with the rest, stepping off the ramp onto the fresh snow; her gaze took her overhead, watching the clouds, listening to the wind and then Renfry as she explained the odd fog that floated just above the ground. Though her gaze would be drawn to the dramatic cave ahead, not that it looked entirely obviously ominous but the way it siphoned the Force from her and those around her.

"'Doesn't look that bad." Tia said as she followed behind Renfry and the others.

Amon could hear the rumbling of thunder outside the ship and he expected there would be some slight turbulence. As he lifted the cigarra to his lips, the power would cut off, flooding the room in darkness at first, red lights afterward, and then be restored a moment later but fidgety. The cigarra had been held in place halfway to his mouth as he had stared up at the ceiling when the light show took place. There was no other warning needed for him and he quickly placed the cig between his lips as he started to buckle.

The entire ship roughly jolted and he lost control of the belt. Amon's hands immediately shot to the closest seats and gripped onto them tightly to keep him steady. He was lifted momentarily in the seat as his stomach went the other way. There was an attempt for the force to be used to bring him back down but before he could, the ship jolted back and his feet slammed into the metal floor as he came down. The shock went through his legs as the cigarra fell out of his mouth, ash spreading across his lap.

Amon just shook his head once he recuperated, glancing down at the mess made across his pants, "Goddamn..." Did they just fly into a warzone? When the ship reassuringly landed, a strong word for the thud, the Marauder stood up as he dusted himself off. If he knew enough about her, it was Tia piloting and that meant it was time to get off.

A hand clasped him on the shoulder with an iron grip and he could immediately tell who it was. Red brought up a fact that he had been pushing aside for some time, still attempting to mend the pieces of his heart. They were playing each other this week and that meant a lot of drama. When the Sith Lord stepped ahead of him, Amon exited from the row chuckling as he slipped on his overcoat, dressed regularly compared to others. "Red, I taught you everything you know. Not everything I know." There was no chance he was going to lose to Pretty boy.

A funny spectacle happened as Red stumbled for a moment before catching himself and ordered an Acolyte that could have possibly overheard to be sent away. Amon knew his friend long enough to know how he viewed his privacy and practically people, he had just never really let it stand between what he said to the man, however. Red would be able to hear him scoff lightly at the misstep, "Watch out bud, or you'll end up in the IR too."

When they reached outside, it was a strange feeling, a stillness in the air that was unique. It almost felt stale, like they were in a limbo, nothing grew, nothing learned, nothing passed on. Amon drew the collars up around his neck, the sensation of what happened at the port slowly creeping up his spine. Instead of focusing on that, his gaze went to the cave in front of him as he quietly muttered to Red, "Already reports Riker is starting to practice. Don't get those hopes up." It wasn't his expedition, he waited for someone to make the first move.

The ship shook in the air, rocked by the power streaking through the clouds. While Morgan was used to the rapid whipping and quick turns of a starfighter this was something very different. Iron fingers gripped the straps around his chest with great strength and even then the Sith was nearly thrown from his seat more than once, shaken back and forth on the descend before the final, massive thud of landing.

Stolas took his sweet time unbuckling and standing up from the passenger seat, a hand over his stomach. Somehow all the movement just felt different when he wasn't the one doing the flying. With no small amount of annoyed grumbling his boots eventually took him from the passenger area toward where the others were moving to gather around Andruil. He didn't bother putting his helmet on just yet. Just in case he did actually get sick.

Golden eyes looked upon this world with immense suspicion. Snow crunched beneath his boots, an intangible tendril of blast something or other to cut chaotic shapes in the air around his feet before dissipating into nothing. And then there was the very ominous looking cave just beyond them all.

Morgan could feel the flows of the Force and the greedy way that yawning chasm in the earth, shaped like a thing of death, seemed to desire and devour the passive energies of the world around it. He warily watched the cave itself, lips curling downward and eyes narrowing That flickering flame was not a thing to be trusted, and a scent that almost reminded him of old and bloody battlefields filled with death. On top of everything else was the cold that sank through his armour. Really all said he was far from comfortable with the situation.

"Or did the tales prefer to create a sense of ominous suspense?" the Firrerreo wryly added to Jaikus' question toward Renfry as he stepped up to them. The more fantastical and specific a magical phenomenon was the less Morgan's knowledge was likely to cover it. It was Renfry's culture that passed on the tales and something told him this 'Entity' was more than a simple ghost. The more intelligence on the subject, the better.

Morgan just assumed that worked for eldritch nonsense as well as everything else. Excitement and trepidation mixed in him. This was new ground to cover, but he had no doubt it was also dangerous. He looked behind him toward the others for a moment, double checking their numbers and how people seemed to be handling the atmosphere, before looking forward again.
"That cave formation can't be natural." Why did it always have to be skull-shaped? He was glad he'd brought his tabs with him for later.

Renfry cast a glance back over her shoulder at the Kel Dor who spoke like he was having a manic episode. She frowned a bit and noted that he seemed "suspect." In fact, she was trying to recall if he was one of the team members up on the roster who she didn't know. Maybe one of the other Lords had brought him along. Emryc seemed to know him? At least knew he was an Acolyte. Okay, so he must be with Emryc, she decided and didn't give it much more thought beyond that, deciding now that they were associates. Maybe Emryc's new apprentice.

Not much that will be helpful, she said in reply to Morgan and Jaikus. The Nightsisters didn't really know much about the Entity. It was dangerous and powerful beyond most anything they had seen, and that was about the extent of it. The Forgotten had performed rituals to keep it at bay, but even Renfry suspected there was more to the story that she didn't know.

Rather than stand around, Renfry pressed on, making for the entrance to the creepy-looking cave that definitely didn't give the impression of a skull at all.

As they drew closer to the cave, the Sith would be able to see another ship. It's model nearly lost to time. Unnoticed until they drew closer, only a few parts of the ship remained unburied by ice, and those were all but clung to by black smoke.

For her part, Renfry continued past it and entered the cave. The entry to the tunnel was short but still lit as if a fire around the corner kept it aglow. She turned the corner, expecting to see the source of the light that shouldn't have been there, but instead gained only the impression that the light was around the next corner. This continued through the first few turns before the single tunnel entered a larger chamber.

Light shown through the ice from above, casting everything in an icy bluish glow that revealed a trio of passages at the far side of the room.

We'll need to explore all of these passages, she said. There was no real indication of which was the proper way to go, but with individuals of such high rank among them, surely splitting the party couldn't possibly be a bad idea.

Markings ran along the walls of the cavern and seemed to lead down the passage to the far left. For her part, Renfry began to study the runes, most of which were foreign to her.

The central passage was... entirely plain. As if it were a continuation of the tunnel they had just been in. There was almost nothing about it that was out of the ordinary.

On the other hand, the passage to the far right seemed to be devoid of any light. Where all the other passageways had an eerie and unnatural light coming from them, there was nothing but darkness down the right side, giving no indication of what lay beyond.

Malou was seriously creeped out by the cave. She stuck relatively close to the front of the group, though. It was easier for her to look out and see what was ahead without having to look past the dozen or so bodies moving along the halls. Unable to see whatever light they were following, Malou wasn't sure where they were headed to, but it eventually led them to large chamber covered in ice. She pulled her robes closer to her skin, holding back a shiver. It had gotten a lot colder in the cave, even though the winds on the surface didn't reach here.

Does that mean we'll split up? Malou reacted to Darth Andruil's words with uncertainty. It certainly seemed to imply they would need to. That meant she would probably end up in a group of two or three... just hopefully not by herself. Were they going to count everyone off into groups or was everyone just going to peel off on their own? Malou realized in that moment that she was either wary of or did not like several of those here. It was unfortunate that her master hadn't joined them. When they were on Exegol, they had made a pretty good team.

She gravitated towards the far right tunnel, searching out through her Force Sight as she did so. There was nothing for at least a short walk, but she didn't look any further to prevent herself from getting overwhelmed. I guess I'll search this tunnel. Malou would pause by the entrance, though. She might be putting on a brave face for this expedition, but she really hoped someone else would join her.

Emryc scoffed at Amon’s comment about teaching him everything, “First time we met you were practically drooling at my spirit paint, don’t lie, we all know who's the real fan,” He stepped out and took in sight of everything around them. He walked behind the others, turning to regard Amon again when he spoke.

“Ten Crowns he doesn’t do shit the rest of the season,” He said flatly. Crowns were picking up quite a bit in the galaxy and he always got a kick out of exchanging money with his own face on it. Especially when he did it as Raze and no one knew it was his own damn face.

He paused as they came across the giant ship. Emryc, of course, marveled at this and began to walk towards it. He glanced over and saw Renfry leading the cattle still towards the spooky cave.

“What?” Emryc hissed, “How can you just walk past something like this? This looks like a period era early model MMS-” He began to speak towards the group that was rapidly now out of earshot. The Sith Lord shook his head, making his way instead to the abandoned ship. This was a piece of history and a difficult to acquire model right here and no one else even gave it a cursory glance...

If Bir had any hair, it would likely have been standing on end as the group of Sith approached the cavern entrance. The power that ebbed from within still seemed to beckon him, almost as an unintelligible whisper that he could feel yet not hear. The MMS Corvette that had been sealed away in it’s glacial casket had caught the Kel Dor’s attention but only for a moment. It seemed to him that it was irrelevant to what they had come here to do; whether or not he was correct in this assessment would be left to be determined. As Raze made mention of his interest in the ship, Bir turned and glanced back over his shoulder to the Darth that had instead opted to remain behind and examine the ancient hull. Even in his madness, he could not help but wonder if perhaps Raze was the wise one in staying behind while the others walked into the unknown.

The shadows that were cast from the elusive source of light made it hard for Bir to actually see what was ahead, his goggles further obscuring his sight. He was hesitant to allow the Force to see for him, however, recalling the events that had transpired in the depths of Korriban as he and a group of fellow Acolytes explored the tomb of Darth Malgore. Use of the Force had proven detrimental then; would it now? Whatever ancient power that lay in wait for them, he was at least wise enough to know he was just as intellectually in the dark as he was physically. Even so, that particular endeavor had proven to be quite a hysterical and enlightening adventure; perhaps this would be the same? If Bir had discovered anything about who he was since his descent into madness, it was entirely too plausible.

“We’ll need to explore all of these passages,”

Bir glanced from left to right as Andruil gave the group her suggestion. Or was it an order? Furrowing his leathery brow, the Acolyte’s organic hand began to stroke his chin as he pondered her words. Alas, she was a Darth and he a mere Acolyte. For all it mattered, she could well have been joking and he would still need to oblige. At least, that was his rationale of the situation. Andruil had seemed to have taken a great interest in the runes that lined the walls of the leftern passage and the young Malou had begun to blindly venture into the darkness of the right. A part of him wanted to follow the Miralukan apprentice of his dear friend but the whirlwind of dark influence of the cavern made him question what path to follow.

”Where does Bir go, what does Bir do? When in doubt, Bir takes option two!” Bir quietly muttered to himself, a soft cackle following his entirely unorthodox method of selection. With his back and shoulders hunched forward, the fingers of his hands tapping against one another at his abdomen, the Kel Dor began to wander down the central path. As he did, the ever moving source of light continued to evade him as he rounded the first corner.
