Standing in the hangerbay of the Bes'bavar-Class combat carrier he had managed to request for the mission, Arthos stepped away from the holotable that had been set up for command. Alongside the Bes'bavar, two Neo-Crusader Class Corvettes had made the jump into the system and the hanger bays of all three capital ships were suddenly full of activity. The fighter craft of the corvettes would act as scouts across the system while the fighters of the carrier would be free to act as defence.

Or offence should the worst come to pass.

Moving over to where dozens of Mandalorians were waiting patiently for him, the Vizsla Rally Master stepped up to the front of the assembled crusaders before gesturing at the hanger bay doors.

"Ladies, Gentlemen and Mandos - out there is Utapau."

The crowd stilled slightly.

"Everyone knows that Utapau is a graveyard, that those infected with AMS ran off the few remaining locals and even now the droid donated to try and burn them off the world struggle to do anything of the sort."

He slammed a hand to his chest.

"But we are Mandalorians, not droids. We will be making a military-only outpost on Utapau, specifically built at the top of one of their sinkhole cities. To make this viable as a training place for recruits and, well, community service... we need to go down deep and sever all connections from this sinkhole city to the others. All their links are below ground due to the storms - storms that we know will tear infected apart before they can get anywhere. So we go down, and we block off these entrances with the blast doors the locals were unable to access."

Arthos looked around at his fellow Mandalorians before gesturing to the Kotir Gunships and Jai'gaalar starfighters. With his other hand he gestured to a wall of weaponry.

"Gather your weapons, gather your courage because today we descend into hell and tell all its demons that they're just going to have to wait... we'll kill them all when we're good and ready!"

Assisting Arthos on this Endeavor was a given, the reason behind it was sound and the tactics employed were solid, being overprepared was better than being underprepared, she approved of his caution and ability to recognize the amount of Firepower needed for such a Quest and this was a good mark of a good beginning.

However one would have to see how it panned out boots on the ground, this was different than fighting normal enemies, one would have to steel their mind to not get distracted and the newer ones of their ranks would feel it all the more when they see it.

As a joint effort, Van'Aria made every intention to let Clan Solus know of this. giving a personal ping to the Alor for reinforcements to ensure this was not left unstaffed, if they managed to get a solid foothold on Utapau that meant they could focus isolated on drilling and training in a hostile environment which would yield alot better results at greater risks.

Once Arthos came to his final words she herself raised her voice, unlike him she was among the people, lined up, distinct yet just as same as all of her brothers.

"Listen to him and you will not have to worry much longer for afore words of doubt are spoken you will have already conquered the city!"

Just when words came to unanimous sounds of dismissal each and everyone assembled went to motion getting ready and gathering their supplies as provided, it was a well oiled mandalorian machine one that was not easily rivalled in systematic and efficient approach, just when the crowds began to clear, Van'Aria gestured directly to Arthos before then pointing with her other arm to a Gunship.

"I will need a Pilot."

She inclined her head idly, she had heard plenty of his affinity regarding his piloting skills but she would rather have it be seen first hand, that and he could likely use a Gunner.

"Or are you now too preoccupied to land with the common rabble?"

If Arthos didn't know better he could see the smirk beneath her Visor, she herself had opted for more practical armaments where she exchanged her dual blasters for a long Vibro-ax which was attached to her Jetpack and a Westar-35 blaster pistol, she was travelling lighter but more prepared for close encounters.

For a long time Hokaan had operated alone. Even from other members of his clan, the young phoenix kept his identity ambigous. Seeing as an old enemy, the Sith Order, empire or whatever they called themselves now, had provided Mandalorians with a fleet and the means to begin industrializing again, Hokaan was keen to make sure he could trust them. But there was only so much he could do from a chair half way across the galaxy. Thus the Armorer had agreed to come assist on this excursion to the edge of the galaxy where the undead had first spread.

During the trip to the system, the Veren Armorer had researched files and reports from the past several years, becoming familiar with names in the Jedi Order like Oren Zapan and others. Hokaan was far from an expert on the subject and had a focused skillset in slicing instead of bio-engineering. Sufficed to say, the Mandalorian kept to himself for most of the trip and remained deep in his studies.

Clad in black painted armor, detailing in orange appearing like flaming feathers and icongraphy of clan Veren was highlighted his association and disposition. The teeth affixed to the outside Mandalorian's lower visor made it appear like he had an animalistic maw. The Armorer had earned them long ago and saw fit to adorn his armor with the trophy to further add to Hokaan's appearance.

He was equiped with his blaster rifle and mag-thumper for this mission seeing as they would be collapsing tunnels and possibly fighting countless infected.

The young warrior stood patiently with his arms crossed in front of his chest as he watched Arthos Vizsla give a speech. "...But we are Mandalorians, not droids..." It was slight, but Hokaan shifted his stance and exhaled inside his helmet after hearing that remark. It was maybe audible to a Mandalorian beside him but no further. The slicer glanced away from the Rally Master and looked at the holo-table deciding to not linger on the sentence.

A Solus clan warrior spoke up to add to the Vizsla's words. Hokaan respected her words by centering his T visor on her, indicating she had his attention for the span of time she spoke. The other warriors would fall out and head to their ships. Meanwhile, Arthos, Van'Aria and Hokaan would remain standing a short distance away from the holo-table which he began to approach more closely.

Hokaan wanted to know if there were those that would report back to the dark siders their movements and activities. Hokaan did not want to be treated like some child that needed monitoring. Not to mention he did not trust the red sabers.

Reaching into one of his belt pouches, Hokaan pulled out a blocky object only marginally larger than a typical dataphone. It was a simple but custom portscanner belonging to the Mandalorian. The slicer would plug the device into the holotable to interface and begin scanning for any dataplague in the carrier's system. It would take only a minute to verify there wasn't any computer viruses or malware that might be hidden in the systems of the capital craft. This was his first time on one of these ships and he wasn't going to pass it up. "Gimme a minute and I'll join you." He said to Arthos and Van'Aria, not afraid to invite himself along. Of course if they wanted to leave without him, he would just take his own Z wing down to the planet's surface soon enough.

Well Arthos had already been planning on acting as pilot for a gunship - he might as well make sure it was one of the ones staffed by people he had picked out. He nodded in agreement as Van'Aria indicated that she was going to need a pilot. With a gesture to one of the hanger crew to make sure the gunship wasn't taken by anyone else before they were ready to board, he patted her on the shoulder.

"Man the guns well then, Solus."
he declared with a small tilt of his head to one side, "I never leave my vod to fly into the fires alone. Never ask a man to do something you're not willing to do yourself."

It was fast becoming something of his command 'style' as it was. He would hammer out the overarching strategy with others before the engagement, lay it all out for everyone involved and then throw himself in with one of the groups. Tactically it could mean he was able to be targeted but practically it meant he was able to adapt to the issues on the front in real time.

Plus it meant not leaving anyone behind.

Spotting the Mandalorian who spoke up about joining them, Arthos moved over to the man when he noticed that he was plugged into the holotable. Crossing his arms over his chest, he stopped nearby just watching the man for a moment before deciding it was best to introduce himself.

"Arthos Vizsla - help you find anything, vod?"
he asked, genuinely actually wanting to help, "Had a look at some of the design process for these things and spoke to some of the developers at MandalMotors. You can quiz me as you man the top turret. Solus, you man the main turret under the nose."

Entering the ship, he returned the salute of the crusaders who had piled into the troop portion of the gunship before settling himself down behind the pilot's controls.

"Either of you been to Utapau before?"

One downside of being so young was that he hadn't had chance to really explore the Galaxy much as a bounty hunter before war came so his experience of out-of-the-way planets was limited.

"An order should only be given if its the same you would be willing to exact."

She rephrased his words, Arthos had the right of it as Van'Aria thought similarly, she would rather, however, do things herself for if she could do something herself that meant unburdening her fellow People and that was of paramount importance to her, the pat to her shoulder however... left her moderately cold, she was not one to respond to such things particularely giving or with a quip, she was quiet... concentrated most of the time.

Utapau, she hadn't been on the surface before, however read much about its history and visited it after the infection hit only in passing, frankly enough scouting it out was one of the major reasons, it was as she thought before already... a viable planet for live-fire exercises, however what bothered her most was the involvement of Jetii with the Utapau natives afore the Virus took most of them.

"My name is Van'Aria, Arthos. If you deem it you may shorten it, but start using it."

She retorted as Arthos gave a comment to how they were going to board the Ship, during this instruction however she gave a brief look over Hokaan, a Mandalorian unknown to her, his steadfast answer and decision to join them was curious but not unwelcome, she saw no reason to keep this a private affair and more importantly she was not aware how green he may be, this could be viable training for the Man if he so desired.

"Van'Aria Solus. Fall in with us and you'll be fine. Questions on the way."

Van'Aria immedietly made a B-Line for the Main Turret, it had been her destination even afore Arthos asked her to man it, she had practiced with these before, infact, in one of her Instruction camps she kept a stationary one that was just there to get used to the Turret turning and aiming with it.

"Mostly barren, the native people of Utapau were almost always very Jetii friendly, this made me be wary when reading and approaching the planet myself, that and well... the hazard we are facing today. The Cities however should be easily navigated, from what I know the inhabitants were mostly inclusive aside from trade which can lead to less hazardous buildings to navigate. It held a notable battle of History but I shall not bore you with Jetii History."

Slipping down into the main Turret she felt right at home, one control stick on the left and one on the right she already began booting up the main Turret once Arthos fired up the Ship itself.

Gett'se Vizsla listened passively as Rally Master Arthos carried out the briefing aboard the Bes'bavar. Rally Master... The boy had sure grown up. He was still only a boy in the older Vizsla's eyes, but a boy who carried himself with command and authority and had earned the respect of his fellow warriors. That was enough for Gett'se.

The mission itself made Gett'se's skin crawl, the thought of once more facing off against those wretched diseased undead. He did not let the malicious fear clasp at his heart however, breathing evenly and quietly as Arthos finished his briefing. They were Mandalorians, superior to droids in every way, as Arthos put it. Gett'se still saw the wisdom in using droids to clear the infected however.

Gett'se wore battered and bruised armor, the blue and black paint scuffed to bare metal in many places, he was not ready to see an armorer. He had however helped himself to the armories of Mandalore, updating his arsenal from his bounty hunting days.

A Galaar-15 carbine with a mag thumper-79A attachment was slung over his shoulder, an array of reloads for the weapon on his belt. Holstered grip forwards on his right hip in a twist draw was Gett'se's ever reliable peacemaker. He was unwilling to give up the weapon that had kept him alive for this long. Added however was a similarly holstered pistol on his left hip, a Mandalorian produced C93 Ranger. A bandoleer rode his chest, a brace of power packs for his weapons and a vibroblade strapped at his right shoulder, hilt down. A beskad ran sheathed along the left side of his jetpack, riding low for a swift draw with either hand. Lastly was the Jedi lightsaber that hung from his belt as a trophy, secured to his left thigh to point at an angle away from his body

The briefing ended and the vod scattered with purpose. Gett'se lingered, an eye on the vod who began to plug in to the terminal. Arthos seemed to have a handle on it however, ordering him to take turret on one of the new Kotir gunships. A quiet smile spread under Gett'se's helm as he approached. "Arthos." Gett'se would catch the Rally Master's visor as he joined the pair at the console, giving him a nod before turning his helmet to center on the Veren clan vod.

"And I can quiz you on what you're doing in the ships computers." Gett'se said pointedly, a cold tone filtering through his helmet that implied it wasn't up for debate. The other slicer might notice a few similar pouches scattered about Gett'se's armor that held a set of gear similar to the Veren's. "Come on." He said tilted his head towards the gunship that Arthos and a Solus vod were already heading towards. He would stare at the Veren until he got moving to follow his Rally Master's orders, putting a dash on any plans the man might have had to install a virus or some other sort of threat onto the ship. Gett'se didn't know the vod, and he wouldn't put it past another clan to plant spyware in the ships used for this mission.

He wondered if he was paranoid, before coming to the conclusion that he was, and that he needed to stop asking himself that question. Joining Arthos in the cockpit of the Gunship, Gett'se slid easily into the co-pilot seat, his visor scanning the array of switches, buttons, and sticks on the console in front of him. The design was user friendly, an efficient combination of what might be seen in various bounty hunter's crafts around the galaxy. He started the ship up and grinned a little under his helmet as he felt the gunship thrum to life.

"It's your stick Rally Master." Gett'se said as he turned his head to look at Arthos, giving him a nod of acknowledgment on his new rank. Gett'se had always been the warriors senior within the Clan, but the Crusade had given the boy a chance to grow into the man he was now. Whatever misgivings he felt about following the young rally master's lead were washed away by a sense of pride he felt for his fellow Vizsla. Turning his attention back to the co-pilot console, he quickly set about powering the rest of the ship up, repulsors whirring and engine roaring to life.

Van'Aria might not have been the most openly volatile of the Solus Clan but it was clear as day that she still had some of the temper. Being referred to only by her Clan name likely had something of a negative effect on her temper but it was easier in the moment since it was shorter. Still, he nodded to her in acceptance of her request before he spotted Gett'se, an elder Vizsla he had no small measure of respect for.

"Gett'se."
he greeted the other Vizsla with a notable measure of warmth, "Good to see you."

Having people he could count on having his back was important at the best of times and the best of times was never the times that involved being clawed at by AMS infected locals. He'd had his shots, taken the vaccine straight away when it had been offered, but there were more ways to be killed by AMS than the infection itself. Hence why they were taking gunships to a fight against infected with no ability to even hold blasters - some might even assume it was an unfair fight.

Not Arthos.

"Sounds like it might have been an interesting place; if we kill enough of these undead things we might make it safe enough for the locals to return."
he spoke across the communal com channel as he helped Gett'se run through the pre-flight checks, "Under the banner of Mandalore."

Nodding to Gett'se, Arthos gently guided the gunship up and out of the hanger bay. Almost immediately, Arthos found himself beginning to relax as he rocketed through the black of space. Flying had been his first love and even now it didn't fail to bring a smile to his face.

"Gett'se, get on the coms and tell the fighters to spread out."
he muttered quietly as the gunship passed by some of the Mandalorian starfighters, "If they bunch up any more a turbolaser would get them all in one shot..."

The gunship rallied with the other gunships on the way down, breaking atmosphere and heading for the sinkhole city that they had pre-selected as their insertion point. Even as they descended they could see infected lifeforms shuffling around the top layers.

"Gett'se, Van'Aria - light em up. No missiles, only lasers."

"Do not underestimate the infected. I have faced these with the Solus'Alor before and they will keep you on your toes, execute with extreme prejudice."

She slowly but surely entered a zone of being ready to execute, and that came with shorter, quicker and less cryptic answers, it was like a switch and only a few Mandalorians had the pleasure of seeing her during such a state of almost trance, it was very evidently the Solus tenacity mixed with a fervant almost zealot-like determination.

Her hands came up to nestle on either of the sticks of the Weapons Platform, this Turret would do fine however she gave it a few spins around its turn radius to break it in almost, it was shortly afterwards that two switches were flicked and Arthos would have that grim signal come up on one of his Consoles, she was weapons hot, ready to go.

"If we touch down keep it brief Arthos, they might seem slow but mass makes up for it, that and id rather not run these Turrets hot, they are notorious for burning through so give me ample room to adjust."

She then gave a brief nod to herself as she let her thoughts calm for but a brief moment, this was going to be alot of muscle memory, whilst the Infected will not oppose them in martial prowess it will instead be a fight of endurance, one that can be hard on those that were not used to a waging warfront or prolonged firefights.

"Talk to eachother, I dont want to hear someone lock up, if you are troubled you let us know, if you're pinched the same, that goes for all of you."

She reinforced her words with a rythmic bang of her left fist up against the walls of the ship as if to rattle their "cargo" awake.

However shortly afterwards they had come into range of their targets, with that being said focus returned to the task at hand and just when Van'Aria was calculating trajectories it was Arthos's voice that gave the go ahead.

And almost like being let loose that deadly Turret began ripping away in controlled volleys, the first warm up volley went wide, intentionally, with how stupid the Infected were it would avert their eyes towards the impact giving her a easier target for the following Volley aswell as giving Gett'se a opportunity at cleaning house in a fell swoop, in the end she was a gear in a machine, it wouldn't do her much if she just focused on herself.

"Give us a circle after the first drop off. Lets make sure our brothers have ample ground to cover once they land."

Gett'se stared into the black of space as they departed from the carrier ship. An unfamiliar ship with an unfamiliar crew. Gett'se looked over at Arthos for a moment as the rally master guided the ship towards the planet, the young commander seeming comfortable behind the ships stick.

Gett'se returned his visor to the control panel in front of him as he exhaled quietly. He was confident in his abilities with this new vessel, but he would much have preferred the comfort of his Y-wing. Not exactly a comfortable ship, but a familiar one. Gett'se's hands moved over the sensors, pressing a few buttons to begin actively scanning the planet as they approached.

Arthos voice broke Gett'se from his thoughts and he checked the scopes, noting the positions of the squadron of Jai'gaalars that escorted them, the starfighter's sensor dots practically stacked on top of each other. They almost appeared as one single ship on the scopes.

"Brave squadron, loosen up. Fly any tighter and you'll be clipping each others wings." Gett'se warned the pilots, watching the scopes as their formation began to loosen. "Don't make yourselves an easy target." He finished as the Jai'gaalars spread out behind them.

"Copy that. Didn't think we were worried about some dead pau'ans shooting at us." The squadron leader joked before going silent once more. Or he had just switched to squadron comms to trash talk the gunship crew. The surfaced beckoned below and Gett'se checked the scanners as he powered up the gunships shields, tilting his head at an unexpected reading. "I'm detecting power somewhere down there." Was he worried about the infected shooting at them? No. Was he worried about someone shooting at them? Maybe. It was a practical precaution.

Gett'se nodded a silent agreeance to Van'aria's words, sound advice when it came to fighting the infected. And then it was on. The ground came up fast as Arthos guided them in, infected ambling around as dots on the surface as they approached one of the sinkhole cities. The heavy turret began to rumble underneath Gett'se as it spat fire under Van'aria's command, and his own turret was swift to follow, its cannons swiveling with a twist of the firing stick.

Deadly laser fire rained down on groups of infected, like fire from the sky. Laser cannons designed to punch through starship armor lay waste to the wasting corpses that still walked. Gett'se watched a shuffling Pau'an's chest dissolve under a blast from his cannon on screen. He continued to hold down the trigger, watching his weapon heat as the gunship continued its strafe. He switched controls to the rear cannon as they passed over a likely LZ, sweeping a group of infected away from the spot with a hail of laser.

All according to plan so far.

It wasn't something that filled him with comfort though he knew that it probably should. When things went according to plan it was typically, in his experience, just before things went to hell in a handbasket. In a place so thoroughly riddled with the undead as this place? It would be stranger if nothing went wrong. The first sign of something going potentially quite wrong was when an infected Pau'an landed atop the gunship's cockpit window.

The formerly male Pau'an screamed at Arthos as he held position over one of the higher level landing pads. Frowning in annoyance, he pulsed the shields to the front, shocking the infected and sending it bouncing off the shields and into the sinkhole below.

"Check up when you enter a space."
he advised the Mandalorians in the back of the gunship, "They're going full horror movie holo on us here."

First drop zone - a hanger bay area.

If they wanted to ensure that they could bring more men and materials down safely, they needed to make sure that the hanger was secure.

"Fireteam One, prep for exit!"

Splitting the passengers into two fireteams allowed them to work toward two separate objectives within the hanger bay space. Fireteam One would be responsible for holding the door to the rest of the city, keeping the infected from rushing back to fill the space. As they disembarked, Arthos performed a lazy circle in the air, giving both of his gunners a chance to light up the doorway they were heading for, giving them enough breathing room to actually pick positions.

"Fireteam Two, your exit is approaching!"

Fireteam two had the job of securing the security room attached to the hanger bay, to repair or otherwise power up the security measures. Blast doors and, potentially, even some friendly turrets could be used to lock down the hanger bay on this level of the city. Of course as Fireteam two was beginning to disembark, something decided to rear its ugly head.

A creature not typical size of an infected came bursting out of a cargo container, roaring despite the gaping wound across its neck.

"Infected Varactyl!"
he called out to his gunners as he lifted back up to give them some height fireteam two in its sights but not under immediate threat, "Get that thing the hell off my men!"

Kraaz listened patiently as the Rally Master went over the basic plan for their assault. A good plan as any given the nature of their enemy that day. AMS infected could prove to be a handful. Kraaz had faced the infected before and while coming through unscathed he'd lost a few vod to them and understood they were not to be underestimated.

He had kitted himself in his usual loadout, leaving his MK rifle behind as he figured the action would be fast and close, leaving little time to take aim with the rifle. As the Rally Master finished would not linger like the others instead heading toward the nearest dropship. He could've just taken down his own Osprey Interceptor but wanted to have boots on the ground for this operation. To that end he would be taking command of Fireteam 2 once they were on the surface.

A few moments later the ship began to fill with fellow Mandos, including the Rally Master. Kraaz had yet to work closely with any of the higher ranking Mando's he saw on board, the main reason he took this mission in the first place was to begin to make a name for himself now that the business of avenging his late wife was settled. He gave everyone a curt nod as they embarked and greeted his fireteam. Once everyone was settled on board the ship would exit the hangar into the abyss of space.

His gloved hand cracked slightly as he tightened his grip on the netting in the hold as the ship rocketed away from the carrier. The horizon of the planet quickly came into view through the ship's port viewscreen. It seemed peaceful from this height but the Umbaran knew the surface was anything but.

He listened and didn't have much to add to his fellow Warrior's comments as they descended. It was all sound advice and the less experienced members would do well to heed it. He perked up as the call came to ready to deploy. With one final check that all his gear was secure and good to go, and his men were ready Kraaz pinged his comms. "Understood Rally Master, Fireteam 2 is go." Once in position Kraaz would be the first off. The immediate area was clear as the rest of the fireteam disembarked, at least it was at first. A Varactyl, or what used to be one, came crashing out of a cargo container and started to lurch its way toward Kraaz and his Mando's. He could hear Arthos call out to for gunner support from the dropship so Kraaz acted fast. He pinged his comms again and leveled his Galeer rifle toward the creature, "Wait for the drop ship to get it's attention, then we flank it, keep your heads swiveling the infected can move quite silently when they want to." With that he would wait for the fire to rain down on the creature and then flank to its right, ready to finish it off and get on with the objective.

"Hokaan...Veren" He replied nonchalant without looking up from his work. He was focused on the scan. "And no. I'm good." The Solus clan member would get a similar response from the Veren though he was not intentionally being gruff. It was becoming clear the more time he spent out in the galaxy the more diverse the group of Mandalorians could be. Not all of them spoke Mando'a at all times and even seemed to have some different operating parameters. At least things will be interesting if not a bit rough. Hokaan told himself to try and make friends. "Nice to meet you."

The scan would continue while the rest prepared. Then another Mandalorian approached him and seemed to be trying to establish some hierarchy. But the Veren did not move. His tooth embedded helmet stared back at Gett'se. The man's body language indicated he expected Hokaan to move.

The Armorer did move, but not stopping from his terminal. Instead he simply stood to square up against the more experienced warrior. The black and blue armored Vizsla backed off and ended up taking his place, leaving him to continue his scan. Maybe it was because Veren had allegiances to clan Solus and they just liked bossing them around. Regardless, if they wanted to challenge him then he was happy to show show them the contrary.

The starship that carried Arthos's group would leave without him. It seemed they choose to not wait. Leaving him to complete his scan, the Mandalorian did not find any malware so far. But there still would be a few minutes before he could be one hundred percent. The military grade systems were secure enough that it would have to be thorough before everything was searched.

Minutes would pass after they departed and an astromech droid would come strolling by. "Hey." He waved the little machine down. He wanted to get a real time update on what the other Mandalorians were doing. In time he would join them but needed to know where they were for the best up to date information. "Come here. Patch me in with what's going on planet side."

The small machine beeped and whirled before complying. It brought its holoprojector online so he could both see and hear any visual representation of the other warriors. "What do you mean weird energy readings?" He asked for the astromech to clarify. But it just gave an annoyed warble in response since it only had limited relayed statistics.

The thrum of the Heavy Turret under her control almost completely drowned out the chatter coming in through her Helmet, she was thoroughly zoned in after a short intermission and chimed in with Gett'se making for a frightening cacophony of Death.

"Im running hot!"

She informed as they came past the first two encounters, the heavy turret was meant for selective fire, not prolonged bombardment that and it had significant power behind it which made the strain on it even worse, nevertheless she continued, she had to cut a path and that she did.

after the first touchdown she let the Turret rest for a moment and let Gett'se take over, her Visor fogged up briefly as she let out a sigh, her hands went to work to vent the lower section of her helmet whilst she took in the battle beneath them, just when they lifted off again her hands came down to rest on both sticks of the Turret again.

Giving a brief salvo to cut a path for the first Squad she was then pulled out of Field of View due to the circle Arthos flew giving Gett'se a shot again until they came around for her once more.

It was just after the second touchdown that things went to hell fast, just when the second Fireteam was deployed a large infected Veractyl was looking to join the party, this... complicated things.

"Arthos! If I fire now it'll come straight for us!"

She warned him but the fact that he reared the Ship up already spoke volumes... he wanted that thing off his troops and while she knew what this thing could do she wouldn't disobey that request, her crosshairs landed on the large creature and shortly after locking in she let loose hell from her turret.

One Salvo struck it squarely but it didnt stop the creature even with the massive holes it now had, instead its attention merely shifted... for the Ship.

The second Salvo came in but only clipped the Creature, it was making a break for the Gunship and this Turret was meant for larger targets than the Veractyl.

"Its coming in! We need Air!"

The third Salvo came in shortly after she spoke followed by a warning that her Turret overheated, Gett'se could see it aswell as Arthos, she was effectively disarmed for a moment, however the salvo proved effective to score another hit yet it was already making a leap for the Gunship, it should be clear that they effectively drew the attention away from the Fireteam yet instead that Veractyl was desperately trying to reach Van'Arias turret.

The gunship touched down and then lifted off again and Gett'se breathed a small sigh of relief as the deployment of the first fireteam went without a hitch. Turrets blazed under his guidance as he aimed at the hangar entrance that the first team would be securing, hosing down the area with deadly energy beams that left little remaining of the infected except one lone moving corpse, its body missing from the chest down as it tried to drag itself by its hands towards the Mandalorian warriors. The pau'an was finally put out of its extended misery by a blaster bolt to the head, one of the warriors ending the wretched infected's suffering.

Gett'se's hand flashed off the stick for a moment to activate the turret's cooling system, the previously climbing heat gauge beginning to lessen just as it neared redlining. Not a moment too soon as they swooped in on the second landing zone. Switching to the rear cannon on screen as fireteam two deployed, Gett'se provided a neat stitch of covering fire for the warriors as they disembarked, cutting down a few straggling infected that approached drop zone two.

Of course, that was before all hell broke loose.

Gett'se caught the explosion of crating material on the edge of his screen before Arthos pulled the stick, altitude gaining as the last of fireteam two's boots hit the ground. An infected Varactyl screeched its way towards the fireteam before being lit up by Van'aria's heavy turret. Switching turrets as the gunship swung around, Gett'se lined his sights up on the rapidly approaching beast as it closed the distance with a disturbingly fast if awkward gait. Made all the more unsettling by the large hole in its hide where his fellow gunner had scored a hit.

Trigger down, the dual laser turret on the nose of the gunship unleashed a torrent of fire that stitched the ground in front of the Varactyl as soon as it entered his sights. Heat rising, Gett'se adjusted his aim as the creature swerved and redirected to charge right at the gunship. A pair of laser bolts thudded into the beast, blowing chunks off its tail but otherwise having no effect. The challenges of the undead. Injuries that could drop a living, breathing creature meant little to them as they followed their ravenous instincts.

Another laser bolt caught its shoulder, but by then it had closed the gap, flying over fireteam two's heads with a disturblingly graceful leap. The Mandalorian gunship shook as it barely caught hold, the shriek of metal echoing through the cockpit as its claws dug into the ships nose and it hung there, cavernous jaws nipping at the turret just out of reach.

"It's on us!" Gett'se shouted the obvious as he yanked the stick and swiveled the gun, the turret's nose bearing down on the Varactyl once more as it hung their, dragging the ship towards the ground with its unexpected weight.

Once more Gett'se's finger depressed the firing stud and a hellish energy beam burst forth from the turret just as the Varacyl's maw found its target, ragged sharp teach chomping down on one of the two turret cannons as it lost its grip on the hull, the gunship once more faltering as the Varactyl's weight caught once more on the turret housing. Its head exploded in his viewscreen, viscera covering half the visual as the creature's body fell and the gunship was no longer burdened. Error readouts spammed the screen and the turret control stick seized in his hand.

"Secondary nose turret is down one gun. Mobility is compromised. Turret cooling system is at sixty-five percent capacity." Gett'se read out coldly as he wrestled control of the turret, a sickening grinding noise as the turret moved, crooked in its housing.

Keeping calm under pressure was a useful skill to have. Even as he wrestled with the control of the gunship, he was speaking to the leader of fireteam two, one Kraaz Wail. They could handle the infected creature he was pretty sure - which meant that fireteam two could stay on objective. If they got the power back up and running they could seal off the hanger bay and start actually making the point defensible enough to bring in the rest of the teams.

"Negative fireteam leader Wail - secure the objective. Get power back to the blast doors and lock down the hanger bay."

They could handle this.

Of course his confidence in that assessment came immediately under stress as he had to all-but fight the controls to keep the gunship in the air. Cursing under he breath, the gunship managed to right itself, correcting for the weight of the infected creature before the combined efforts of Gett'se and Van'Aria were enough to blast its head apart and the weight suddenly became dead-weight rather than a bucking creature.

Arthos checked the read outs.

"Landing."
he informed Van'Aira and Gett'se as he pulled the gunship down for a soft landing, "Good work team - see if there's anything you can do to fix your turret's movement Gett'se. When this hanger is secure we can start landing the rest of the warriors."

Reaching out via the coms back on the carrier, he was connected to the bridge team who quickly bounced him to Hokaan Veren. Apparently the warrior had started taking readings of the surface and further down the sinkhole.

"What do you see up there, Veren?"
he asked as he stepped out of the gunship with his blaster pistol in one hand and a hydrospanner in the other, "Give me some good news."

Gett'se was already shifting out of his seat when Arthos gave the command. "Solus, with me." Gett'se shouted down the turret well as he passed it on his way to the troop bay, rushing to a wall pannel that he popped open. Neat bundles of wires led to various ship components. His eyes scanned through the slit of his buyce to find what he was looking for. His gloved hand wrapped around a fist sized power coupling. With a twist and a tug it was free.

I've taken the turret offline." He spoke as he turned to make a hurried walk towards the lowering ramp. It wouldn't do any of them any good if the turret had a power surge while they were making repairs. He grabbed a heavy case and hauled it down the ramp, pulling it with one hand, blaster in the other as his visor surveyed the perimeter. The dead infected varactyl lay near on the platform. A shuffle of infected pau'ans were far, lurching themselves towards fireteam two. A gurgling sound caught his attention from below, and he looked down to see an infect utai crushed underneath the landing ramp.

It face exploded as Gett'se approached, his pistol's barrel steaming as he rounded the ship. They had landed near the ledge of the landing platform, effectively cutting off one direction from infected encroachment. Individually, the diseased dead were an easy target, en masse they held a terrifying lethality that should put any fighter on edge. Letting the case drop as he came to the nose turret, Gett'se eyed the damaged nose and turret swiftly as he holstered his blaster. Deep gouges in the frontal armor where the veractyl hand latched on, turret wrenched crooked in its housing. The left turret cone was punctured and twisted, the end exploded out where the blast had occurred.

Gett'se wasn't sure if he could get that operational again, but the priority was getting the turret mobile and operational, even at 50% capacity. Setting into motion, Gett'se popped the tool crate's lid. Gett'se moved with urgency as he installed a power jack between the landing bay floor and the crooked turret. Time was of the essence on the repairs and the clock was ticking as he worked, the longer they were out of the air, the longer fireteam's one and two had no air support. Ratcheting the powerjack tight, Gett'se examined the turret housing closely, noting part of the round frame was ripped.

"Osik." He muttered under his breath as he turned to pick up a heavy hull cutter designed to cut through the thick mandalorian starship plating. He caught movement at the edge of his visor. Glancing over as he grabbed the tool, an ugly rotted face bobbed at the edge of the landing platform, dead orb eyes staring nowhere as the Utai infected clambered over the edge and up onto the platform. Gett'se's pistol flashed as he twisted it free of its holster and the utai's head exploded in a rotten mist. The body staggered back and fell off the ledge, but another set of necrotic hands had already grabbed onto the platform behind them.

"We've got incoming, infected climbing up the side of the platform. I need cover to complete these repairs." Gett'se grunted into the comm as he hoisted the hull cutter onto his left shoulder, backing towards the turret as he raised his blaster and shot the next Utai head to appear.

By the time they landed Van'Aria had already emerged from below, she shot out of the Turret as she pressed herself upwards and shortly to her feet, she stood a fair bit taller than the smaller Vizsla but was trumped by Arthos in height albeit she was wider if only in specific regards, she janked her Ax free from her Shoulder and held it idly with one hand whilst her other reached down for the Holster of her Blaster Pistol pulling it up to her hip.

Forming a formiddable escort for the Vizsla she matched his movements and stuck primarely to his left side giving him the ability to give more attention his right, however she held her fire mostly unless she had to fire, the reason behind that being that any additional shot could rouse attention their way, even if they already made alot of noise more could cause more trouble, it was a easy equation.

Once they rounded the Ship she looked at the nose with a grimace on her face, saying it looked good would be the overstatement of the millenia, being less versed in the acts of repairing such damages she nodded to the Vizsla to do his best.

"Whatever you can do, do it. Ill provide you with all the time you need."

When Infected however were climbing up the Platform... Van'Aria hatched a Idea, if Gett'se needed time she shall work on exactly that, tackling the threats while they climbed was her idea and sure enough there was no stopping her once she set her mind on it, one could hear her accelerate and surely enough... she leapt off the very same ledge that Gett'se just sent a Infected over.

She holstered her Blaster and took her Axe into both hands before her Jetpack ignited, she made a large outside circle from the platform before beginning her approach. She swept from side to side of the Platform leaving those that lost sight of her only with the sound of steel meeting steel before then flesh, she then pulled up and emerged over the platform for the briefest of moments before diving down again.

It was risky, incredibly risky but it drew the Infecteds attention, for she was but metres away from them everytime she came in for another devastating sweep of her Ax, some Infected elected to make a leap of faith to try and latch onto the Mandalorian but she accelerated each time just before they could reach her causing them to plunge to their death.

"Im running on limited fuel so let me know your advancements."

She requested as she readied up for another approach, she would hold off those climbing up but any other side that was uncovered would still have to be covered but she trusted that Arthos had a firm grasp on it.

"Dont worry so much about me if you need to early take off, ill link up with you in the Air if I must."

By the time she was done with that information she cut deep into another strafe, suffice to say with the length of her Weapon and he speed it was easier to cut deep into masses and eliminate key approaches easier than with a Blaster, that and she sacrificed little in terms of mobility.

As all hell broke loose on their disembark, Kraaz would hear the gunship say they could handle the beast that attacked. He trusted his brothers and sisters to their job and he would do his. He would turn to the other members of his fire team and nod to them. He would then hand signal to them keep quite and move in a single line. He would then point out one Solus Mando and indicate for her to watch their backs and that he himself would take point. He would turn and put away his rifle and draw one of his pistols and a vibroknife and move toward the objective through the maze of shipping containers and abandoned starships.

The dropship had gotten them as close as possible but it would still be few minutes to the objective of the security room. As his team moved as quietly as possible Kraaz kept his head on a swivel, for any potential infected. He didn't have to wait long, as what what was once a Utai shuffled into their path. Kraaz moved in quite as ghost, his lead foot finding the back of the creatures knee and as it crumpled his knife would find it's skull. The creature dispatched with one fluid motion.

Blaster fire sounded from behind them and he assumed either the other fireteam had run into resistance or that the drop ship had landed and were securing their area. Either way he knew the noise would only aid them and draw attention away from the silent group....at least they had been. Kraaz grimaced under his helmet as he heard a loud clang and glanced back to see a pipe rolling away from the boot of one of his fire team. He made sharp hand gesture to knock it off then set his eyes forward, and expectantly now he could hear the shuffling foot falls of more infected making their way toward the noise. He cursed under his breath and kept moving silently, they weren't quite in the shit yet, but they sooner they got to a defensible position the better

As Wail and his fireteam headed for their objective, Arthos and the rest of the gunship's crew secured the area as best they could. Arthos was something of a fan of starships in general and he had been repairing his own gunship for years at this point - he could do a good job of fixing up some of the damage even in the field. Combat engineering was a Mandalorian speciality and he was someone who believed in it wholeheartedly.

Gett'se had taken up the work of a combat engineer and Arthos would ensure he got the room he needed to work.

"Understood vod - focus on your turret. Nothing is going to get past us to you."
he assured his fellow Viszla before nodding to Van'Aria, "Favourable winds, Var'Aria."

Arthos focused on making sure that the gunship itself was structurally prepared to make the next take-off and the next landing. The landing gear looked to have taken a bit of strain, as had the engines but he could see that they weren't going to need too much work. Attaching a datapad to one of the diagnostic ports on the exterior of the gunship, Arthos let it run its checks on the integrity of the power network within the gunship as Arthos lashed out with the hydrospanner, dropping an infected to the ground with a caved in skull.

Holstering his pistol, he kept the large spanner in one hand and drew a vibroblade with the other. Slashing and smashing through infected as they seemed to crop up out of nowhere, he was already getting ready to celebrate having the hanger bay locked down. Utapau's hangers locked differently to those of other places, being known to lock down both blast doors that led deeper and to the sinkhole access point as well.

An armour bunker in an instant when it all worked right.

"Sit-rep, Kraaz."
he commed the Wail Mandalorian, "Do you require assistance?"

The second fireteam had picked up the pace, Kraaz and the others checking corners around overturned crates and shipping containers. He was risking the increased pace as all around them the sound of the infected grew nearer. That's when the member of his fire team brining up the rear shouted that she had contact and her blaster rifle opened fire as an infected Paun launched itself at her. She took it down, but the noise only brought on more. "Go loud and double time, on me let's move!" At this point Kraaz simply activated his jet boots and rocketed toward the control room the other members of his team right behind him using their own jetpacks or boots. He would forego taking any potshots and focused on speed now that they're covert approach had been compromised.

As they approached he could see the wave of the dead slowly following them and could look ahead and see the security room. Raised above the ground floor of the hangar it would provide the perfect defensible position as long as they could get inside. The windows were still intact and Kraaz assumed they were made of transparisteel over normal glass. They're only option would be to get the lift underneath active. Kraaz landed hard going into a roll coming up and lashing out stabbing an infected in the head, as it fell away he'd let loose with his pistol to take down another with a double tap to center of mass then finished with a headshot. "Get this lift cleared and locked down." The Umbaran would do his part in the clearing and would curse again as one of his fireteam motioned him over. "Lift controls are karking locked down, it's game over man, game over!" Kraaz could see the panic starting to set in on the more rookie mando and took a shot over the man's shoulder to end another infected. "Keep it together brother, you're no good to me dead." He would say coolly, shaking the man out of his panic for a moment. "Yes sir!" The man went back to work on clearing the lift.

Kraaz pulled a security spike from his belt and jammed it into the port jack just as his comms pinged. "We've reached the security room, but we've got hostiles incoming. Lift inside is locked down, working on getting it open, its...," Kraaz paused for a moment as he let loose another series of blaster bolts into and infected, "a civilian model so it shouldn't take long, we can hold out, just make sure our evac is secure."
