To be fair, gentleman's agreements are just that. You can't bind someone to them, especially when it concerns IC matters. And this is coming from someone with a long history of hating Prudii's Guts.
RPs are a story. On a personal level I just feel that if one of the authors goes against what the rest of the group agree on it causes a great deal of tension for everyone involved.
That's why I tend to stay away from big open threads with lots of participants. They can be extreme fun, but all it takes is someone to do something the others don't like and then punches start flying in the OOC.
Thanks guys. The positivity in this post is a great thing >.> :/ but for real, RP is just that, RP. To have Prudii act in a different manner (sparing Anara and Jareel) just because the rest of you had a "gentlemen's agreement" that I never agreed to would be metagaming.
Affecting how my actions are handled IC because of knowledge that I have OOC. I hope each of you will learn that at some point. I mean as much as I hated it when BlackNoise attacked Brett, or TheSilentWInd attacked me, it's IC. Only they know their characters. To have that changed by OOC information would spoil the game.
I know Drokan was seconds away from decapitating the padawan but too much happened i think that even though he is an acolyte he shouldn't be able to be taken out of combat by a simple sonic pistol.
