Oorah! I take it you've already been to MEPS so I imagine you can't release your ASVAB scores to sate my curiosity, but what MOS are you looking at? Buddy of mine is trying to go 6531, aviation ordnanceman. He goes to Parris Island June 14.

No I have not been to MEPS I got a 82 on the ASVAB. And for my MOS I am thinking either an MP or Infantry.

Go MP, infantry is a shit job (No offense to the 03's out there, you guys do the hard shit) that doesn't translate well into the civilian sector if you plan on retiring early. Unless you wanna do infantry, become a SGT, have at least 6 years, and decide to become a DI. In that case 1000000000 kudos to you, cause them fuckers are the real deal. Former-infantry DIs (esp. in 3rd Recruit battalion) are scary as shit, yo.

Also, what were your line scores, if you don't mind me asking? With an 82, if your line scores are also good, you pretty much qualify for most jobs in the USMC.

Ya that's where my thought process was. Infantry is really only good when your in the military, if I go MP then I'll be set for when I get out.
