With Seismic Charges, we have to stick with what the canon has already dictated. They are very powerful, but then, you're in space, and it's been shown that a skilled pilot can evade them.
I see what you're saying. However, Seismic Grenades are not only significantly smaller, but are being used on planets with pretty devastating, and unfair depending on who you ask, effects.
Excuse me for this outburst but.... Seismic *GRENADES*? What in the sweet fekking Fragglerock? Those would require a tech write-up, as they're not the starfighter sized *bombs* we see Jango Fett use in space.
It was a ruling made in my Tython thread. To change what a stun bolt could do. I was told y'all both had discussed it. The changes are in my ooc thread. Temple Courtyard.
I'm aware Eli. I'm mostly commenting on the argument canon has to stay canon because it is canon. When canon has already been changed here on the site.
Well, Meg, this doesn't really change canon that much. Leia wasn't wearing armour, only a thin little dress. It's feasible that if she was wearing the same kinda armour as say, Darth Vader, she wouldn't have been stunned outright. But yes, Clay and I try to stick to canon where possible, but we also need to consider how it'd effect the RP.
Again, to prevent it from being overpowered. It's the Disruptor argument. Yes, they're canon, but they're a weapon that can one-shot your character even in a grazing hit. So, we banned disruptors, and we've modified stun.
Like I said I'm not trying to argue a change there. I just was confused because canon is already being changed for this and was told that if something is too OP for a fight, then canon can be changed for the site's purpose. And people's concerns were that it's too OP. That is all.
As said before. We try to stick to canon where *possible*, but if Clayton and I, after arguing and playing devil's advocate with one another, come to the conclusion that said piece of tech is too OP (like we probably would have lightsabers!), we start to ponder ways to make it less OP, while still keeping as close to canon as possible.
