With Seismic Charges, we have to stick with what the canon has already dictated. They are very powerful, but then, you're in space, and it's been shown that a skilled pilot can evade them.

I see what you're saying. However, Seismic Grenades are not only significantly smaller, but are being used on planets with pretty devastating, and unfair depending on who you ask, effects.

Y'all changed canon on stun shots? Leia got hit in the arm with a stun bolt and was Knocked out. Now that's no longer allowed on the site.

Excuse me for this outburst but.... Seismic *GRENADES*? What in the sweet fekking Fragglerock? Those would require a tech write-up, as they're not the starfighter sized *bombs* we see Jango Fett use in space.

@Megilwen - I don't recall anything about stun bolts. I'll talk with Clayton when I see him.

It was a ruling made in my Tython thread. To change what a stun bolt could do. I was told y'all both had discussed it. The changes are in my ooc thread. Temple Courtyard.

The changes are also noted in the actual rules thread in the tech forum, just so y'all know.

Regarding the stun bolts, I mean.

Well, Meg, this doesn't really change canon that much. Leia wasn't wearing armour, only a thin little dress. It's feasible that if she was wearing the same kinda armour as say, Darth Vader, she wouldn't have been stunned outright. But yes, Clay and I try to stick to canon where possible, but we also need to consider how it'd effect the RP.

The ruling is stating that when not wearing armor, a shot to the arm or leg doesn't stun, just incapacitates that limb?

Again, to prevent it from being overpowered. It's the Disruptor argument. Yes, they're canon, but they're a weapon that can one-shot your character even in a grazing hit. So, we banned disruptors, and we've modified stun.

Like I said I'm not trying to argue a change there. I just was confused because canon is already being changed for this and was told that if something is too OP for a fight, then canon can be changed for the site's purpose. And people's concerns were that it's too OP. That is all.

Sorry that the seismic grenades are too OP

As said before. We try to stick to canon where *possible*, but if Clayton and I, after arguing and playing devil's advocate with one another, come to the conclusion that said piece of tech is too OP (like we probably would have lightsabers!), we start to ponder ways to make it less OP, while still keeping as close to canon as possible.

And let's not spam poor Clayton's profile with more stuff!
