I'll be so happy when the gods of SWRP grace us with this wonderful example of what a story should be. I'm not saying your wrong almighty green one. Just that my own stories don't seem

to meet the standards. lol , sorry fat fingered it.

I get the weapons. People like to pew pew. I even get ships and armour. Kind of. Extending canon planets I can understand. It has purpose. But making a new species is just wanting to be a special snowflake. Looking at you, creators of 'space elves' and 'cat people'.

And then you look at the profile posts and think the same. Right, right?

I'm sure people did stuff like this in every timeline, storing files of characters, factions, tech, planets, species, etc on their computers. It's just that now they are storing more on the site.

Finn, when I created the Reshekki, I wanted to make them because I thought they were a neat idea and I wanted to release a creative idea that other people could use. This concept of "being a special snowflake" has never crossed my mind even once. In fact, 90% of the people that RP on this site never even use the fan-made species, and some don't even know or remember they exist.
