Meh, they are lightly armed anyway. Shouldn't be overwhelming for several upstanding space Vikings.

Do any of your characters have any hidden metallic objects on their person, bag, or crates? (I.E weaponry)

I know ivar mentioned an axe in his back. Anything yet to be mentioned?

Ivar's Deucalian armor is inside one of the crates as per my first 1-2 posts buried under something no doubt :P.
