It is a good plan, don't get me wrong. And if the Brass says to do it, then I'll shoot down buoys or clear orbits or provide air support until I run out of stuff to shoot at or I'm tangled in a pile of burning starfighter, but my opinion is that it is still to soon for a hot war.

And if the Sith do strike first? Tragedies are good for publicity. It will drum up patriotism, the Senate will actually do something, and recruitment will go off the charts.

I would definitely be in for it. You would need quite a few ships to knock out the relays somewhat simultaniously, and there will need to be a sizable fleet and landing force to have a chance at holding orbit and taking any significant gains on the ground.
