(This takes place on my new Fandom planet, Abyssm.)

The chamber hissed open and the warrior gasped for air when he woke from his slumber. He jolted up and vivid memories flashed through his head. The clone commando grabbed his gun and jumped out of his stasis pod, blinking groggily as he tried to waking himself up.

Giant damn asteroid…took out all the main thrusters…waited for help…nothing came…solar storm…hibernation sleep… He was in the main hangar of a Venator Class Star Destroyer. The same ship him and the last of his legion, the 77th Marine Corps, had been aboard on several missions during the Clone Wars. Except…

Water…There’s a leak somewhere. The dark and quiet hangar smelled of pond water and and looked swamped with the water up to the clone’s ankles. Then, he looked behind him to see rows and rows and rows of stasis pods that stretched all the way to the very end of the hangar. Some had no lights on and had cracked visors, which meant that the clone inside had probably died in their sleep. Others remained lit- but before he woke up his brothers, the commando needed to figure out where they had landed first.

The ship had no power. The stasis pods were the only tech that seemed to be functioning. The clone scrounged around for anything that could lead to a way out of at least the hangar. Eventually, he found out that the ships hadn’t been running for years, but still had enough power to open up the main hangar doors if he managed to get the energy coupling to the correct outlet. After about an hour, the clone did just that and listened as the ship groaned while the hangar doors slowly opened up, streams of daylight shining down.

When the clone got on top of the ships long hull, he found that they had landed in a river surrounded by a dense forest on either side of the ship. A storm could be seen brewing directly in front of the cruiser where the river fed into what looked like an ocean. Strange birds flew in the skies with sharp looking axe shaped heads that also flew with pointy beaked birds that seemed to have spines all over them. The clone seemed to mesmerized by the sight of the birds and watched them curiously. “This place doesn’t seem…” The clone looked at the birds more carefully as they circled around to face him. There were seven of them; four axe-beaks, and three arrow-heads. They were not small at all, getting bigger and bigger as they approached the clone’s position, each one around the size of a standard X-wing- maybe bigger. One gave a horrific shrill as it dove down towards the crashed cruiser. Instinctively, the clone opened fire upon the beasts but to no avail. The horrors on wings pressed forward in a tight dive, violently approaching the clone with their black talons opened and ready to rip and tear.

Before the reached the clone, a ground rumbling roar shook the trooper off balance and lost his footing. He slipped off the side of the cruiser into the water. While he began to resurface, he noticed something else below him that was around the size of CR-90 Corvette. The monster looked like a crocodilian of sorts, but the clone had no time to take notes. When he resurfaced he was able to watch the scaly brute avoid himself completely and lunged for one for the diving terror birds instead, snapping its long jaws on two of them and then dragged them down into the river. The other birds flew away over the forest, as terrified as the clone was of what just happened. Then, the rumbling happened again, and the clone trooper watched in terror again as a another leviathan sprouted from the trees and swung a giant wooden fist at the birds knocking on to the ground. More tree-like beings began coming out of nowhere as well, swing their limbs around at the birds until all of them were no longer flying and squawking.

While the clone trooper continued to tread in the water, processing what he had just seen, a single thought broke his chaotic train of thought.

We all died, didn’t we? But then why am I in Hell? I thought disobeying orders was what made us superior to droids…

The clone, RC-5175 or Tango, managed to gather enough supplies and energy to send out a distress beacon. He didn’t awake his brothers, as he found that the scaly predators (namely the killer crocodile) could sense body heat, so Tango wasn’t going to wake up his fellow clones until he knew they all had a way off the planet. The message he recorded was short and simple- hopefully clear enough for someone to come to his aid.

“This is Commander Tango of the Seventy-Seventh Marine Corps. Our ship is down and without power. I’ve got around five hundred-ish other clones still asleep in hibernation chambers. There’s…something out there. Lots of somethings…they-

(Loud bloodcurdling roars and groans cut through the transmission)

Save. Our. Souls.”

The transmission ends and begins making its way throughout the galaxy.
