A character idea

I was looking over the roster and well, found something. We are lacking an older, more experienced Chiss.

So, this is my proposal, and it is one I need full permission to do, which is why I am posting the idea here long before I begin write ups. I will delete Myion since I haven't really used her.

And in her place I will create a 64 year old Chiss man, he starts his career off in the army, works his way to centurion for about six years. Along the way, he works for CAIN's SIA, becoming an SIA operative. His latent force abilities come full swing during one of those missions, and is picked up by the Immortals, where he spends a good twenty years. He becomes an Elite, then after awhile, joins with CAIN diplomatic bureau for about three years. Then something happens, he rejoins the military, this time the Navy, using all his experience, he helps them win some conflict, works his way to at least Force Commander. A long life, a lot accomplished, and is there to help the Chiss win this conflict, and accomplish even more.

In a way, I am using the idea of Count Duuku, more in the way of Experience makes a good leader. A powerful force user, who has done much with his life, so can be deployed in odd situations and still find the way to victory. Understands the force, ground warfare, politics, naval battles, etc.

Of course, this idea, pretty much means I need FL support and hopefully the support of BN, Lupe and Count Sam, since the character touches into each of their areas.

I'm going to leave this up to Weiss to have final 'yes-no' as I'm biased, but I like the idea. Though I do have a question, we're going to war soon, so he WILL be deployed at one point, how confidant are you of fighting against the GA's heavy hitters, who are likely to sign up for battles?

I am pretty confident. I have been watching them do their posts, and found several flaws in each of their fighting styles I might be able to use. And yes, he will be deployed with everyone else. True, I can get lazy, but not in war. I try to stay a few steps ahead and figure out what they will do next. The better the rper, the more time I put into my posts. Well that and the more that rper wants to extend their own posts.

I am fine with the idea, but I would like to hear from Sam and Lupe too.

Well I like the idea, but my only problem is the fact that he spent too much of his time in the Immortals and CAIN. I mean I really don't like the fact that some people always have their characters join the Immortal order first to make their characters more powerful then go for the military. After all, both CAIN and the Immortal orders are special branches of the Ascendancy and leaving them to join the military is something that I really am not a big fan of. Technically, spending that much of time in CAIN or the Immortal order would allow your character to know a lot of information about both sub factions and that might be dangerous in case your character was captured in a battle or a something. As you know the Immortals follow certain codes of loyalty and I am not sure if the military follows similar codes or not. Also soldiers with certain gifts and skills are supposed to be chosen from the military to join CAIN and the Immortals, not the other way around.

This is my opinion anyways, but still I am not trying to get in your way of making your guy. All I would ask for is having a good explained explanation on why your character would be transferred from the Immortal order after all those long years of service.

The idea is this: He retired from the Immortals. He wanted a quiet life of diplomacy, then suddenly something happened that pushed him right into the middle of a small war. Maybe it was on the planet he was a diplomat too and it forced him to take command. He would still be a teacher in the Immortals, even now, never having fully relinquished his vows, only he is trying to help the Chiss in the best place possible, he is old now, not special forces or army material, so commanding seems a good place for him to continue serving.

I'm a bit iffy on the all three positions. Being in two is more realistic. Or maybe try changing the order? Going from military to Immortals to CAIN (as a diplomatic in the retire years) seems more likely.

Alright Weiss, I can easily do that. Its why I am bringing this before you all, to get your feedback! Then after diplomacy, something happens to rebring him back to the Military, of course, he will always be an immortal from the time after joining to his death.

Well honestly Martel already kind of fills this role, just younger, he was in the navy, a smuggler, immortal, TC, and is going to be apart of CAIN as well :p. But in the end, more can't hurt.
