There was something wrong. Admittedly, there was always something wrong somewhere, but this was different. It was... painfully wrong.

Everything was no longer as it should be.

And the one thought that rang through his head as he drifted slowly through the cold, empty halls?

I can't do this anymore...

<div align="center">***</div>

The repercussions of what he had done echoed in his head. They were not pleasant to imagine. And the fact he could not force the consequences from his mind did not bode well either.

Because of what he had just done, he was one of the most endangered men in the entire galaxy. No friends. No allies. Only one tiny glimmer of hope. And that was a long shot, but it was the only shot.

At least he had one advantage. The tiniest, most insignificant thing, yet it was the most precious, most powerful thing he had and that any would ever possess. Time...

With a small sigh, he spoke quietly to the other man in the room.

Dante, you understand what you are doing now? Everyone-

"My lord, I would follow you to hell and back, any of my men would. And they would be glad to die for you."

Dante, don't call me that. But you must understand, even if we run forever....

"We will all still die. Lo... Rogal, that is everyone's fate. And like I said, I would be happy to die for your cause. And if that's what waits for me at the end of today, tomorrow or even ten years from now, I will be proud to have died alongside you."

Thank you, Dante...

<div align="center">***</div>

A simple hologram flickers, a cold blue tinge covers a small figure, which talks slowly, but with a hurried air, not panic or fear, just a sense of time running out...

A simple message plays itself, and the figure bows it's head, before it flickers and disappears. With the push of a single button, it begins anew, the message playing once more.

My name is Rogal Natharn. I am... was.... a Sith lord. You knew me as Lorcatus. But I am not he. I am my own once more. I will not waste my time with the why, nor will I waste your's with more talk. Know only this, I fight for you no longer.

As the hologram finishes once more, the simple acolyte that had been on station to receive it gapes open mouthed. The young girl know's that reporting this could well end with her dead. But not reporting it would have the same effect.

Rather than decide, she pushed the button to re-play the message, and remained silent...

<div align="center">***</div>

The Behemoth drifts with deceptive speed through the cold void of space; it's engines, though silent in the vacuum, roar and pulse powering through the darkness.

The second largest ship in the Sith armada had a purpose, and a destination.

And as it powered away from the heart of the Sith Empire, engines readying the massive ship to jump into hyperspace, only one person on the planet below could have guessed it's destination.

And if she spoke of it, no-one would ever believe her, until it was far too late.

Because The Behemoth was going to the one place Rogal knew he would find what he needed to, or at least the beginning of a long paper trail. It was going to Hoth.

*Skyu sat in the station aboard Hoth, keeping his watchful eye upon padawan Jace Kyjar. The Baran Do Sage was only with the Jedi to stop an invasion of his home planet, though he had no idea how it could happen anymore. Dorin seemed peaceful enough and in a secure location, but the future would tell later. He was meditating in one of the training rooms, many padawans practicing their lightsaber skills behind him, seeming to ignore him. This was only because he made it so. Most of the Jedi did not even know that he was there, except for the council, as he was using the force to hide his own identity, both in the force and through normal sight (see: Kreia hiding from the Disciple on the Ebon Hawk). It was tiring, but it had to be done.

During his meditations this day, he felt a presence approaching the planet, on an even larger ship. He knew the man, he had felt his force signature the same day that he had felt that beast awakening on Coruscant. What he would be doing here, was anyone's guess. Likely, betraying the Sith to try and find a higher purpose. In which case, perhaps Skyu could help. But first, a little bit of scaring was in order. Skyu disguised his thoughts as one of a Sith, a sinister voice, and transmitted them to the man on the ship.*

"Betrayer!"

As The Behemoth slowed down, his destination was right there. Hoth. If he was lucky, the Jedi would still be here, though he doubted it after the battle that had been fought here, whilst he was still a Jedi.

As he was gathering his thoughts, a powerful, dark voice rang out. But... he didn't recognize it. Of the sith, the only ones of that sort of power were ones he knew. Of course, there seemed to be an abundance of new, powerful sith these days, so it would be just his luck for one to be here...

Well, whatever he did, he had to go visit that planet, and right now, the first step on that path was answering that voice...

He put strength behind his reply, but without the menace that most would come to expect from a man of his position... former, position...

~You don't even know the meaning of that word...~

*This man would dare question Skyu's wisdom? He had been through his fair share of betrayals over his life, though he may not have experienced them. He had seen his home planet sold out by the Jedi, which forced him to sell out the Jedi. He had just seen his home planet being undefended by the Jedi again, and came to stop that. Needless to say, he had enough of betrayal.

He spoke back, in his normal voice this time. He sensed less darkness in this man than their was before, and this made him more comfortable.*

"My friend, you do not know how many betrayals I have witnessed. I can feel though, that betrayal is why you have come here. Perhaps when I spoke before, I was speaking of something done to you, something you regret having to be done. Am I right, now?"

When the voice came again, it was... different. Slightly defensive, but the main change was that all the dark gone. It was light, but... not light like he knew.

If the Jedi shone as a white light, then this was more akin to... a bright light blue. Odd to think about really, especially considering he was on the run from the Sith and they'd probably have worked it out already, but he was the kind of person to be caught up in this kind of detail...

~Wha...? Who, Who are you?~

Rogal was confused, the apparent sith he was talking to was almost the opposite entirely... Weird to say the least, but certainly not a bad development.

~You're not Jedi... are you? So, why... why are you... on Hoth...?~

From the massively broken and confused tone that was weirdly present even in the force based telepathy, his new friend could probably guess something was wrong. In fact, he had already, thus his question. Which Rogal only just noticed he had totally ignored...

~I... sort of. I....~ He pulled himself together, and continued ~Yes. You're pretty much on the money right there.~

Something was...off. He couldn't explain it but as he watched the acolyte from the shadows behind her, watching the hologram say what he was hearing over and over again, he sighed. The acolyte jumped, turning around to find him near her and fear crossed her face, covering up the surprise that had once been on her face. Sakiharu raised his left hand, as if for silence and the hologram flew out of her hands, into his raised hand. He gripped it lightly, an expression of upmost calm on his face before he pressed the button again with his right hand, playing again the message he was hearing.

"My name is Rogal Natharn. I am... was.... a Sith lord. You knew me as Lorcatus. But I am not he. I am my own once more. I will not waste my time with the why, nor will I waste your's with more talk. Know only this, I fight for you no longer."

The hologram of Rogal bowed before disappearing, leaving Sakiharu and the acolyte in silence. The girl was stunned, expecting to have been dead by now from what she was thinking. Sakiharu just stood there, watching the pad he was holding, his eyes half closed. "I don't need a reason, Rogal. Your word is worth enough to me." He said it calmly, as if he had been thinking it over for some time and yet, if you payed attentioned enough, you could sense, barely, barely sense for anyone, a hint of saddness in his voice as he spoke. "Live the path you want and fear nothing, not flesh or metal, not soul or damned, nor death itself and the after-life it brings." He said it so slowly, a tiny bit faster with each second and a tiny bit louder.

He threw the pad in the air before lightning covered the metal object, Force Lightning burning it to rust and broken metal. The burned metal dropped to the ground with a thud, a little trail of smoke coming from it. Sakiharu's eyes watching it, narrowed but calm for some reason. It was, at best, an odd combination. Raising his eyes, he watched the girl. She was scared, fearful and was cowering to her knees, watching him and wondered what fate awaited her. "Stand," he said sofly, almost on the edge of normal hearing. She slowly stood up but was shacking, unable to control her fear. "Destroy all records of it at the academy. It'll be a simple task on your part. Someone may know it was sent here, they just won't know who got it, or if it even came." Sakiharu was so silent before walking out of the room. The records, he knew for certain for that acolyte's life, on the computer will be deleted and the metal, now useless, just needed to be destroyed entirely. He had so much on his mind, it was a storm in there. Emotion conflicted with emotion and he locked what information he had of what just happened inside of the darkest corners of his mind. He wouldn't let anyone know what happened, not even the Dark Lord himself. He wouldn't allow it. He'd erase it before he'd allow that to happen. Even if the hologram wasn't made public inside of the academy, people will notice. They'll figure the pieces out and the truth will come out either way, just at the slower rate.

One thing was for certain. He knew he would see Rogal again one day. He counted on it.

"You are right, I am no Jedi. You came here seeking Jedi, I think. Why?"

*It was getting late, and Torger was likely not manning the communications again at this time. Skyu had decided it would be in his best interest to test this Sith, see what he wanted and then permit him access should he prove to be of good spirits. This may get him in harms way with the rest of the Jedi, though his own instincts were normally right. If all else failed, he could always either look into the future or take a life. He had no fear anymore, not after what he has had to do in his life.*

Not a Jedi, but he seemed to be acting with the authority of one. Either a reckless visitor, or someone from a similar group. Maybe a Bendu? No, the Jedi wouldn't trust them to handle this. Then again, did the Jedi even know? If this guy was handling this, and not one Jedi seemed to care, maybe this was a Sith, after all?

Either way...

~Honestly? I'm not sure now. I had some vague notion of redemption, but i see that's not the way. Well, I mean sort of. I know that what I'm coming away from wasn't right, but neither was the Jedi, really... So, I guess I need to use them. They're a stepping stone, towards something else. But I don't even know what that is yet...~

Rogal realised how totally insane that sounded, how the whole scenario would sound. A single ex-Sith warship turns up at a jedi world, with a single ex-Sith on board, the Jedi don't even bother dealing with the ex-Sith themselves, and then the ex-Sith realises he didn't even really want the Jedi to start with...

Rogal couldn't help but smile.

~So, if you're not Jedi, what are you? Who are you with, and why here?

ooc: PM me if this goes against your plans, I'd be happy to change it.

"I will answer your questions on one condition."

*Skyu loved test time. If this man was truely a powerful ex-Sith Lord, he should at least be able to find him while he is concealed meekly through the force. That would just be part one of the test. The other would be a test of good faith, towards a padawan whom he had seen once before, which would be easy on all accounts. The final test would be one of death, to see if he could face it and come back to something he had never known before.*

"Come down to the planet, anywhere on the snow in a single ship and find me. Two more conditions will come if you can find me."

*Skyu immediately cut off the connection and got out of his meditation. He left the training room, still unnoticed, though some Knights clearly felt something powerful going by them. He went to the hangar, opened the door and lept randomly out the side, landing hundreds of feet away from the station, dragging with him another. A padawan, who would be part of the tests. There, he concealed them both and waited.*

((OOC; it's absolutely fine, and great and whatnot. Better than what i'd foreseen/half planned, in all honesty))

Now, seeing as the other guy had cut off the connection, what seemed like a challenge had just definately become one... Well, first things first, getting to the planet. It wasn't exactly hard, seeing as he was on board a warship full of fighters, and the snowstorm he had chosen to land in would hide him nicely.

Even if the Jedi looked like they didn't intend to take part at all, who was to say that they would take kindly to an almost unannounced visitor...

As he clambered out of the sleek fighter, he was buffeted by freezing cold air and snow, as well as temperatures that could freeze a man alive, if over-exposed. Easily within his best interests to find the guy he was looking for, fast.

The surprisingly complicated feat of singling out one unique force signature took longer than he'd hoped, and the cold wasn't helping. In fact, whilst searching through every single force sensitive he could find, he had skipped the one he was seeking, because it was so weak and with another, clearly young, Jedi. However, his mistake was soon rectified, when he looked closer at the unusual pair. Fear from one, almost like joy from the other. And sure enough, there it was, that odd signature again, weak half hidden but definately there.

He'd found the guy, now he had to actually find him...

He tried to set off at a sprint, but was soon face first in the snow. Evidently, running was out of the question. And he flat refused to use the ship, or just give up. So, rather than simply trudge the distance, he leapt. One huge force powered leap after another was about half as fast as a force enhanced sprint, but still infinitely better than staggering through the blizzard. Though more than once he landed awkwardly, and had had to rapidly heal small, but potentially deadly injuries to his ankles.

Regardless of the pitfalls of travelling by air in a snowstorm, he eventually neared that signature, and slowed down, rather than overshoot, and have to double back. Looking round, he could see nothing but the furious white of the snow, and hear nothing but it's incessant roaring. Just brilliant.

So, once more the force was called upon to help level the icy playing field. Rather than improve his senses, he replaced them, seeing through the force. And there something was. A huge, disfigured lump...

So, clearly, there were two people close in a snowstorm. Makes sense, really. Well, that's the first condition, he thought to himself, one down, two to go apparently...

~Tag, you're it!~

"Ah you have done well in this task. Most padawans in there cannot sense me like that, so you have proved to be above their level."

*Skyu turned around and stopped concealling himself completely, letting it show that he was a Kel'Dor, and letting his power with the force wash over the ex-Sith. He wanted to make it very clear that should anything go wrong, Skyu would be able to right it within moments.

He then motioned the padawan who was sitting beside him at the moment. He brought him up to his feet and he looked around confused. The ex-Sith would recognize this one as the padawan whom he had met on that hell planet, where everything went wrong. Jace Kyjar rose to his feet and recognized the man as a Sith. He reached for his lightsaber, but instead found a different one, one that was apparently stolen from somewhere. It didn't matter to him, he drew and ignited it, a purple blade coming out.*

"Your next test to prove you are worthy to meet with the Jedi. What do you do to end this confrontation, when words are not enough?"

*As if brainwashed somehow, Jace charged at Rogal with the lightsaber and made a powerful attack towards the ex-Sith's shoulder. He was aiming to kill, something a Jedi is taught to do if his lightsaber is ignited.*

Rogal's grin faded as the padawan drew a lightsaber. A duel, in a snowstorm? Oh...no...

He didn't draw his own weapon. Instead, he leant. Shifting his entire body to one side, the slash to his upper torso sailed harmlessly past. Rather than attack directly, and risk harming the kid, he fought with the force.

A strong push aimed at the kid's upper torso should, Rogal hoped, knock him off balance. But rather than press his advantage, he moved away; a backflip taking him up and away from the odd acting padawan.

He landed heavily, and a big plume of snow was knocked into the air, and rushed away, only to be replaced by yet more snow. Over the snowstorm, he called back to the Kel'Dor,

When words aren't enough, then sometimes you have to fight. And then, I aim to subdue, or put them out. Killing only if they absolutely have to die...

He knew the last part sounded cold, but it was a fact. Inescapable...

*The force push hit Jace hard in the chest and he fell backwards once again, the snow exploding all around him. When the snow settled, the padawan was no longer even there. Where he went, who knew? Well, Skyu did, but Rogal would surely be freaked out.*

"Not really what I was looking for, coming from you, but it is alright. You have proved yourself capable of being a Jedi Knight, doing something which even some of them cannot do. But now..."

*This was the part Skyu was not looking forward to. He had never attempted to use this sort of power in a teaching purpose. The last time he had done it was to end a criminal's life, and it was easily done. Would the Sith be able to withstand the amount of power that was just about to hit him, or even leave him, and come back stronger like Skyu had planned? Only one way to find out.*

"Can you look death in the face, stare into it's eyes and return to life a new, better, more powerful person? Such is something that even the greatest Jedi masters could likely not do."

*With that, Skyu held up his hand and a great beam of red light exploded from the end of his hands and made its way to Rogal's chest. It connected and Skyu focused for what seemed like an eternity, focusing on what he wanted to take away. Normally, this power was used to take away the force completely, but this time, he only wanted to take away sections. He drained the power out of the dark side spirit, as well as the light side spirit, then let go of the power and watched as Rogal fell to the ground. Not dead, no where near dead. He no longer could feel the light or dark. His body was now only filled with the force. He had experienced two deaths, and for that, he would be much stronger.*

The Dark Lord sat upon his throne of thorns, his brow furled in concentration. He had easily sensed the man he had trusted's betrayal. Now he had to think. He would head to Hoth, that's almost certain, he told himself, his eyes flaring with anger. A vase near him cracked and shattered, and soon a crackling of pure energy was present in the room. He would hunt Rogal down, and kill him.

Few things enacted such rage in Nexus as betrayal. And Nexus would stay true to his world. He would attack, with a vengence never before witnessed in this galaxy. As he focused his energy on the planet Hoth, Nexus' anger grew even stronger, and now, the tapastries flared and shrivelled, the chairs distorted and the tiles on the ground began to crack and raise.

"Found you!" He hissed, his voice so venemouse that even he was slightly shocked by it. No matter, Rogal would soon discover how wrong he was.

Tapping to Rogal, Nexus sent a surge of energy enough to kill a Rancor. It would not kill Rogal, he knew, but it would certainly inform him of his perilouse position in the great scheme. "I will come for you!" Nexus hissed, "I will hunt you down, and I will destroy you. So utterly that there will be no shred of evidence you ever existed! Know this, Rogal Natharn. I gave you your power, and I will take it away!"

(((Dun dun dun!)))

Rogal was slightly, no, very surprised when the kid he had seen somehwere before just disappeared. He had thought that maybe the kid had been buried in the snow, but he was simply gone...

And then the Kel'Dor spoke again. Stare death in the eye, and...return? Before Rogal had time to cry out, a beam of red light smashed into his chest, and all he could feel was a sense of losing something. Like a part of his soul was being torn aside, the darkness and light, leaving only the shades of grey in between.

Regardless of what had just been done, it had hurt. More so than anything else he had ever known. Maybe this was death? Or maybe this was being born again.

Maybe it was both...

Regardless, now was not the time to be standing around, well, lieing around would be more accurate. Struggling to his feet, most of his energy seemed to have left him, but he really couldn't allow himself to fail now.

Drawing what strength he could from the force felt... different. Not just from yesterday. But from the very moment he had learnt how. It was, odd.

What did... what did you do? He spoke softly, but the words carried over the snowstorm, to the other man. But before a reply could even begin to from in the other man's head, Rogal sensed something all too familiar.

A darkness seemed to wash over the world, and the pale white that was all around seemed to dim to a grey, the fluffy snow becoming icy and sharp. Everything became darker and while he knew he should be afraid, Rogal was not. He simply waited a brief moment, his head turned to the skies. And then it happened.

Pain seemed to explode into his body, wracking him with unbearable pain, and forcing him to his knees. It was all he could do not to scream, until the pain subsided, leaving him panting and exhausted.

Blinking furiously, his eyes seemed to refuse to co-operate and he was unable to focus on anything. A small smile spread across his face, pleasant memories of the all too familiar process of blacking out flooded his mind, before it happened again.

His body collapsed to the ground, and his mind drifted into the darkness.

*Skyu was glad to see that, during the early stages, his procedure had actually worked. Rogal could still feel the force, and more importantly, he was still alive. However, when the man started fidgeting about, Skyu could tell that he was in pain. Something he had done did not work at all, or perhaps the amount he had lost was perhaps too great. Maybe he was not worthy of meeting with the Jedi after all.

Skyu lifted Rogal up with the force as he collapsed to the ground. He began searching through him to find a reason to the wreckage of his body, and inside his mind he found a message, one that seemed to be etched like a carving in stone. It seemed to be a death threat, from none other than the Dark Lord of the Sith. Too bad for him, Skyu had already taken away the power that the Dark Lord had given him, and replaced it with something even better. Should he be awake to face the Sith, he would be a much more formidable opponent.

Skyu levitated Rogal in the air in front of him and began bringing him back into conciousness, putting some of his own stability into Rogal through the force. The entire experience, making a padawan disappear, taking two lives from one body and now returning someone to conciousness, was much more than he had ever done in a day. He made sure Rogal was able to rise on his own, then fell to his knees, exhausted.*

As his mind rushed back into the world of the living, two words drifted around in his head. As menacing as they were hollow, he knew who had sent them, and exactly what they meant, even though he couldn't remember the rest.

Found you...

Heaving himself to his feet, he saw that the Kel'dor had collapsed. Clearly, whatever he had done, had been as hard as getting mentally raped by the dark lord of the sith, and then some...

Rogal slowly walked over. Not out of choice, but if he went much faster, he would have collapsed. Grabbing the guy by his arm, he hauled him to his feet, supporting his weight by leaning the guy on him.

He then began the short, but ever so long walk back to the station. He could sense the Jedi within, but wouldn't have been able to see it until he was under 3 metres away from it.

As he walked a grin spread over his face, and he felt compelled to talk to the other guy, who almost looked like he was about to fall asleep.

Could hardly leave you behind now, could I? Name's Rogal, and i'm gonna keep you talking, 'cause falling asleep out here'll only lead to one of us dieing... Unless you hadnt noticed, it's not exactly springtime on Dantooine...

He laughed quietly to himself. Mainly out of habit these days, but he kept going.

Found you...

Shaking off the echo, that he knew was an indicator of his own impending doom, he could only hope that whatever had been done would give him the ability to escape his nearing fate.

You aren't Jedi, so what are you? But more important, they have to be warned.

He could feel from those two words alone that he had doomed a huge number of people, especially anyone even remotely nearby. Which for the best part, was Hoth. Where the Jedi were hiding. He had come seeking answers, and only gotten more questions. But then... then, a fact hit him harder than a falling Rancor.

He had brought the wrath of the Dark Lord right to the Jedi...

*Skyu was pleased to see, and feel, that Rogal was alright after what had happened. He felt himself being lifted up onto his feet by the ex-Sith and was pleased by his work. An evil presence would not have allowed Rogal to take Skyu with him, so that much seemed to have worked. But maybe too much good was left there. Skyu tried his best to walk to take the burden off of Rogal, and decided it would be best to speak as well.*

"I am Skyu Lon, a Baran Do Sage from Dorin. I saw a vision of my planet being destroyed, and came here to stop it. Long story short, the hope lies in a padawan here."

*What Rogal said next could not be more wrong. Skyu had heard the message when searching through Rogal's mind, and knew that the Jedi would not be in danger. The Dark Lord would be a fool to attack them all on his own, or even with a small following of Sith behind him. There were too many Jedi in a small place for that. No, the Dark Lord wanted Rogal alone.*

"I am sorry, my friend, but the Jedi are not in danger. There is only you, and the wrath you have brought on yourself. What I did to you was for your own good, there is no longer any evil to be coaxed out, and no good to save others from the death they deserve. You are only filled with the force, something very few experience, such as myself, and that is the gateway to powers beyond your imagination."

*Skyu was regaining himself slowly as the walked. They approached the lower door to the Station, which Skyu opened with the force and walked inside. He then plopped back down onto the floor and looked back up at Rogal.*

"You can fight this Dark Lord, now, successfully. You will not be killed, not here, and maybe in the future you will get power enough to destroy him, or any others who replace him. Possibly a chance to beat that demon who longs to take his place, and who has already taken yours. I do foresee the demise of the Sith soon, and you may help in that."

Rogal was certainly intruiged by what Skyu had said about what he'd done and the implications of it, but he felt otherwise on what he had said about Nexus.

You may be right, he won't come after me right now. Not alone at least. But I fear I might have led him to Hoth. He knows how I think... thought, whatever, and I'd like to think the same applies slightly in reverse. He sighed slightly, before continuing, And so long as I stay, he's not going to not come here. Alone or with an army, he'll be here.

He took a few steps towards a single man ship, and ran a hand over it's smooth panels, admiring the simple elegance of it's design whilst talking half to himself, half still to Skyu.

And wherever I go, he'll follow, until one or both of us are dead.

He turned around, facing the monk, and with a slightly inquisitive tone, asked;

So, you're entire planet's fate rests on just one kid? I don't envy him... D'you mind me asking how you know that...? I mean, i've heard of people prophesying, but never to this kind of detail...

They both knew he was trying to avoid talking about what had happened recently. It was, to Rogal at least, justifiable. Having to contemplate a destiny, where you have to fight, and kill up to three of the foulest and most powerful beings in the galaxy was not one that he had an express wish to linger upon...

*Rogal was, Skyu feared, correct. They would have to get farther away from Hoth, or at least away from the Station to bring hope to the Jedi surviving for later. However, Skyu had a feeling the Dark Lord would have a little too much on his hands to come to Hoth for a traitorous Sith Lord.

He listened to Rogal's question, not suprised it had come. The Baran Do were masters of the force, in some ways even more so than a Jedi. One of these ways was seeing the future and being able to alter it. He wasn't sure he wanted Rogal to know this power, but knowing of it should be alright.*

"On my home planet, the Baran Do are normally the advisors of the worlds. We have powers that some force users, even the greatest of the Jedi or Sith, cannot grasp. This includes our ability to see into the future, through heavy meditation. When one sees the future, they can also find a way to alter the future by finding a shatterpoint. These are usually small and unnoticeable to most, and are gone after a matter of seconds, but if touched correctly, the future will change. The shatterpoint surrounding this padawan is large, the biggest I have seen, and I have been watching his training the entire time. I tell you, hiding from a Jedi Master takes a lot of work through an entire training session. I feel as though I need to influence him greatly, make him do something great, so that my planet can be safe."

*What a story. For a guy who didn't want to say much, he sure just spilled the beans. Rogal now knew more than the entire Jedi council regarding him, his powers and the padawan.*
