A shuttle. That was the best new she'd heard all day ( @The Good Doctor ).
The Tiefling's apprehension about reaching out to touch the mind of Governor Omah came back to bite her when the Governor's guards trained their rifles on she and the Grandmaster in sudden unison. Fortunately for the former, the majority of them were aimed directly at the Grandmaster, aptly perceived as the greater threat between the two of them.
With a sweeping motion, the guards closest to Amira would be flung toward the broken windows that lined the rotunda, where they would hopefully plummet to their deaths as she made a break for it alongside Arcturus. He was her only ally here today, and her ticket out of this monster's cradle. The Hutt was offering a taxi service aboard his sled, but Amira would sooner die between the pinchers of these creatures than snuggle up beside that sleazy slug. Nothing was ever free where a Hutt was concerned, and there was no doubt in her mind that he would want to play paddy fingers before it was all said and done.
Rather than jump aboard the sled, both the Senators of Gannaria and Indupar sprung onto the Wookiee's back like they were children playing a game of leapfrog. Even amidst all of the chaos and the fight for their lives, Amira had to pull her portable phone out and snap a picture of the comical scene, but before it could be slipped back into the pocket of her pantsuit for safekeeping, the Governor of Ryloth bumped into her, and the electronic device tumbled to the floor.
"Watch where you're going!" she said, voice stilted. There was a retching sound, and then someone in the crowd threw up all over the floor—and all over her phone. "What the kriff?" These politicians were more uncivilized than a group of pigs wallowing in the mire.
Meanwhile, the Wookiee Senator was busy swapping testosterone with the creature at the bottom of the flight of stairs. If the latter even had any. It didn't even look organic, especially when compared to the four smaller creatures alongside it. The senile old fool was trying to distract it, but he'd only drawn its attention and its fury toward the rest of the group. The Neimoidian's strategy wasn't any better, waving at it as one might shoo away a stray dog. Whatever this was, it was no stray dog.
At this rate, they were all going to end up dead. "Out of my way," the Champion sighed, cursing under her breath as she pushed her way through the crowd and toward the front, intent on exploiting the creature's confusion as a Wookiee roared at it, and a Twi'lek tossed her heels at it. Both hands outstretched, a clear, shimmering energy field would envelope the creature in an attempt to hold it in place long enough for the group to make it down the remaining flight of stairs. The creature was large, and undoubtedly strong, so Amira would not be able to do anything about the other four monsters, standing nearby with bladed staffs in hand, but she trusted that her companions would be able to handle them.
