The village and its earthy smells reminded Malicia of some places she'd trekked in the past, when she'd devoted almost every second of her life to growing the order and by doing so a future Empire.

But this village was so obscure and tucked away that, thinking on it, it made sense why it took her cultists so absurdly long to find it. They had a trail to work off since they use to stalk the lord, though that trail had went cold quickly, so quickly it had almost made it impossible to find the Lord.

Almost.

She was unsure how Raze would react to her presence. She wondered if it would be violent, or cold, or something else entirely. Regardless of how he reacted, she worried he wasn't getting her texts and felt she needed to make sure the lord got her warning about a mistake she'd made, one that could possibly effect him.

Because of where she was she'd left behind her usual rich clothing. She'd opted for a black, simple outfit, even if it didn't help her hide how pregnant she was. It wouldn't be much longer now before the twins were born. While the clothing items made her stick out less, her silver hair was still an unusual colour in this village, apparently, at least for someone young. She probably should've let it down to blend in more but it was in its usual tight, perfect bun.

Malicia hesitated for a moment when she saw the man the villagers called "Rick", or so she assumed it was him since he wasn't facing her. Part of her thought about turning around, but, she made up her mind and slowly approached him. "Rick...?" her voice broke the silence, "Am I... disturbing you?"

Emryc had grown accustomed to living without his sight for a while now. While he still carried around a stick for show, it was largely unnecessary. He had been refining his skills with Force Sight to make out outlines and vague details. While he still desperately missed his sight, the ability granted him what he needed to navigate the world around him.

Today was a day just like any other, except he didn’t go fishing this morning. He had offered to tend to the sheep of a fellow villager in return for his wife’s cooking. Said wife had secretly approached Emryc’s door many times to complain about her marriage woes. The half Sephi stood and listened, but politely escorted her out whenever she attempted to get more from him.

Emryc was chewing on a flower root while clicking with his tongue to get the sheep lined up to walk out of their fencing. The half Sephi wore a simple vest and pants, and it was clear that both were custom sewn for him. He was larger than any man in this village.

When Malicia approached, she would notice that he was even taller than before. His hair was also longer, tied in a low ponytail to keep it out of the way while he worked. She would also notice that the hair was dirty blonde instead of the dyed jet black she was used to.

Emryc didn’t immediately turn around when she spoke, though he did pause for a moment. The root twirled around between his lips as he stood there in silence. He knew that voice, and he could sense her presence by virtue of having been around it so much.

“I don’t want your cultists anywhere near this place,” He stated flatly after a while.

Emryc finally turned around to face her to reveal the beard, Force Sight piecing together outlines. He was much larger and more muscled than before, his body shaped through months of hard labor. He could see the rounded shape of her belly, and she would notice his eyes briefly shifting to linger there before they vacantly wandered again. She would notice he still had the bracelet she had given him on their wedding day. While there may have been several different thoughts going through his mind, he was difficult to read as always.

“You are not disturbing me,” He finally answered her question, his tone less frosty this time.

Even though he didn't answer right away, Malicia remained standing, still, quietly and waited until his answer came. She recognized that voice.

It was him.

Despite how frosty his answer was, it was difficult to focus on that aspect. She had to fight back how glad she was to see him. So much so she had to steady herself for a handful of heartbeats. Raising a hand above her heart, as if it could slow the beating down, she breathed in before she answered calmly in return, "As you wish."

She was going to continue speaking but he turned, and the first thing that caught her yellow gaze was his beard. It lined his lower jaw and stood as a testament to how much time had past since they last saw each other, contrasting against her memory of him. Her head tipped slightly and she blinked curiously at the new feature. It made him look much older, but the lineaments on his face were all still there.

It was him.

He was taller, it seemed at least, perhaps due to his race and... it shouldn't be one of the first thing to come to mind but... she wondered if their children would grow to be as tall. Would she be the smallest in their family? He wasn't lean anymore either, his muscles were much larger and helped fill his body out to fit the extra height.

Her eyes lowered when his did, though at first she didn't notice he was staring at her belly, she noticed the bracelet on his arm. He was still wearing his wedding bracelet? The sight caused her to breath in sharply, feeling the side of her eyes sting suddenly because she hadn't expected it. Somehow it hit her hard, and for some reason she smiled. It meant something to her. Almost instinctively her right hand, in reaction, came up to wrap around her wedding pendent, curling softly.

But she had to focus. At least, for now, on why she'd come. The weight she'd felt earlier lifted from her body when he said she wasn't bothering him. "I hoped I wouldn't, but I wasn't certain," she said, it was a plain answer but an honest one.

"E-...Rick, I've made a mistake that might effect you. I've come to admit it, so if it does you wont be caught off guard," she said, trying to keep the description minimal. "But first..." she paused, lowering her hands to pull a small, square, container out a pouch on her belt.

She walked closer to the tall half-Sephi, beginning to understand just exactly how much he'd grown in height as she got closer and closer. She held the container up to him as high as she could and continued, "I brought a container of cut vegetables and fruit for you. I understand that giving gifts before admitting mistakes is an acceptable practice in some places, similar to giving flowers... and I, wanted to offer you information on our children, if you wanted it." She'd even ran a trace on her bloodline, though she hadn't looked at the results. Still, despite her lack of interest in her history it was possible she was more than human, especially considering her silver hair, and that DNA and whatever other heritage she had would be passed onto their children.

Emryc stood in silence as she spoke, fumbling and hesitating over her words. When she mentioned she had made a mistake, he didn’t react even then. The half Sephi was not impulsive by nature, and very few things got a rise out of him. His body language was completely calm and relaxed the entire time she spoke.

When she mentioned cut vegetables, however, Emryc’s face visibly lit up slightly. A good assortment of fruits and vegetables was difficult to find in a place that mainly had grains and fish. The half Sephi gave a few whistles and directed the sheep back into the pen, closing the door behind them.

He turned back towards Malicia and pointed a finger towards the side where there was a bench to sit on. Emryc waited for her to walk over and sit down before he did the same. His frame was broader and much larger next to hers, but even then he could make out how massive her belly was. His thoughts went back to Renfry blurting out how Malicia would be having twins.

“I will listen to anything you wish to share,” He said curtly in his usual tone, waiting for the promised veggies. His mind fortress made it all but impossible to ever gauge what went through his thoughts or if he had any emotions rifling through him.

He did take a moment to recall her and all the details of her face and body. Emryc smelled her perfume and could vividly picture the silver strands of hair, the yellow eyes that often said more than she could ever convey with words and the coy and shy smiles that made it difficult for him to look away. They were all things he would likely never see again, but he did have her voice.

“You’ve traveled a long way,” He said after a while as he opened the box and took in the smell of sorely missed foods.

At least he hadn't reacted poorly when she mentioned she'd made a mistake, not that it couldn't change. But her focus shifted from the subject when Emryc visibly lit up. She couldn't help but light up herself and feel a small bit of pride in being able to pick up on his like of veggies and fruit.

Bright yellow eyes turned to the bench he pointed at. She didn't say anything more, wobbling over to the bench and letting out a sigh of relief when she sat.

And she lit up again when he agreed to listen. However, before she gave him the container she pulled out a small embroidered cloth, black with silver lining, and placed it on his lap. Afterwards she opened the container and placed it over the cloth happily.

Her smile's strength would've lasted longer but it faltered when he mentioned she'd come a long way. She hesitated for a few more heartbeats, wondering if it'd be wrong to say, though she couldn't help herself, "I know I could've sent someone in my stead but I... have missed you," she admitted.

Though now that he had his meal, Malicia pulled out her datapad. All of the information—all the files—she'd gathered for their children was on it. "I am having twins, two boys," she switched subjects and the tone of her voice lightened. "Would you be against our first born being named after you?" she asked curiously, tipping her head slightly at the thought.

But before Ermyc had the chance to answer, she lowered her hands and the datapad to her lap. Her mood shifted and her body felt heavy again. Pale fingers curled over the datapad and she decided she shouldn't postpone her admittance too long.

"That can wait..." she paused for a moment. "I was unaware of your relationship with Darth Stolas and when he asked who my husband was I admitted it was you." Her hands unfolded, only so one pale finger could begin to trail around the datapad's screen. "When I left he was enraged."

She left it at the simple facts. All the other details including the threat, she guessed, was extraneous and irrelevant to Emryc. She assumed Ermyc would know if she'd caused a major problem for him or not from the information provided.

Emryc crunched on a carrot as Malicia confessed that she missed him. He gave no immediate response, always letting her finish speaking. It was almost soothing to hear her voice. Despite her abilities and all the atrocities she had committed, by voice alone he could only visualize the small woman in her royal night clothes that he was able to easily take off. The half Sephi moved onto a cauliflower next, pausing when she asked if he wanted to name one of the twins after him.

This was a foreign concept to him and he wasn’t quite sure how he felt about it. The passing down of names was associated with royalty and nobility and he was….well, he was royalty now through marriage to her. Emryc was paused like a statue, cauliflower poised a few inches away from his face.

Before he could answer, she had moved on, and he subsequently popped the cauliflower in. Emryc was poking around for another veggie by the time she finished speaking. There was no strong reaction to her words, but there was silence.

A flood of thoughts and emotions went through his mind, but none manifested in his demeanor or on his face. Emryc stopped eating for a moment, sitting in silence as he collected his thoughts.

“Did he attempt to harm you?” Emryc asked before he asked anything else, tilting his head slightly towards where he knew her belly was. The half Sephi would let her answer before he continued, “He understands the nuances of political marriages,” Emryc stated flatly before he continued eating. If there were tumultuous waves or infernos raging in his mind right then, absolutely none of it pooled to the surface. Emryc was as calm and stoic as ever, always consistent in how he presented himself.

Even if she couldn't see or sense any change in him, his silence worried her. She tried to focus on the edges of the datapad for the time being, and on her slow movements as she traced her finger around it.

His voice broke the silence. When she looked up again she tipped her head curiously, then smiled meekly. After a second she let out a breathy, "Oh..." Turning away from him, just in case she gave into the stinging at the sides of her eyes, she looked down again. It was getting increasingly, frustratingly, difficult to fight emotions this late into her pregnancy.

She considered her answer carefully still. She'd avoided extra information before but she needed to be honest with Emryc, "No, he only threatened me. I left right after which likely made the situation worse."

Thinking back on that moment caused a flood of emotions to engulf her. She'd tried so hard to smother the emotions because she knew accepting them made her weak. But in that office? Alone with him? She'd been terrified for her children, and furious at herself.

Her hands shaking caught her attention, and then she realized that her whole body was shaking. "Did you want to change subjects?" she asked and offered suddenly, maybe selfishly. "I wanted to give your surname to our children," she added, reaching up to wipe away the warmth at the side of her eyes before grabbing the datapad from her lap again.

Emryc felt the ripples in her emotions as they came to the surface. His keen and sharp ears picked up the shifts in the breathing and other sounds to suggest Malicia was potentially crying. It was a strange phenomenon and one that caused the slightest furrowing of his eyebrows. However, he said nothing immediately, closing the box after he finished his meal.

His thoughts wandered briefly towards Morgan and his reasonings for being angry. Normally the Firrerreo looked into his eyes to gauge where things stood, but naturally that wasn’t an option. Emryc squashed that line of thought before he was assailed by more thoughts that would become painful.

Emryc tilted his head just slightly in her direction. He felt her shift and the quiet sniffles that suggested she was quickly reeling from the crying. It was obvious it was an act she despised, and he didn’t draw attention to it, giving her respectable space as she desired.

She abruptly asked if he wanted to switch topics, and the half Sephi considered the question, “I have no preference either way, no subjects trouble me. We can discuss whatever you wish,” He reiterated his earlier point. For all his flaws, Emryc was a great listener. He listened to every last word and he weighed his answers carefully. Malicia was one of the few people in the galaxy that would likely get answers from him when asking a question. Most of the time Emryc simply didn’t dignify others with a response. The subject of his surname once again surprised him.

“It is not a name of noble origin,” Emryc stated after a moment, “But they are your children. You will name them whatever you please.”

He was silent for a moment before he spoke again, “Do you wish to remain here?” Emryc thought back to his very sparse hut that wouldn’t work for her. He would arrange other accommodations if needed, and he would stay with her.

Emryc's calm voice helped. That he wasn't bothered with the subject matter somehow eased the guilt and worries that had plagued her on the way here. Pale, balled up hands wiped away tears from her eyes. With some focus she was able to reel herself back.

"I don't care that your surname isn't noble. Mine may not be either. Well..." she paused, opening a file on her datapad. "My men put together a genealogy report so I can check to be sure."

But she paused again, a pause that only lasted a short second before her small body turned suddenly to Emryc. Her eyes widened and there was a long pause before her gaze wandered throughout the village. Over the river, the old wooden dock, the small buildings, the animals and the calmness of it all.

Something in her wanted to pretend like she didn't want to stay regardless of the peacefulness. She was an ambitious woman, wasn't she? She had responsibilities, but... her last few weeks had been spent on vacation, mostly out of contact with everyone. And something had slowly shifted in her as she'd gotten further along in her pregnancy.

"I... do. If that can be arranged I'd like to stay here for awhile," she admitted, smiling even if she still felt slightly shaken from the surge of emotions just moments earlier. "I feel safe with you."

She'd gotten use to luxury but she'd grown up in slavery. This life was a step up from her old one. Her fingers curled almost excitedly at the prospect. Simply out of curiosity while she waited for Emryc's reply, she looked down at the first line on her datapad's screen, "Oh, my surname is Drast."

The village was quiet and serene, and there was no hum of being on a space station here. While Emryc hadn’t been someone to be partial to outdoors or nature, his outlook largely changed since arriving here. He detached almost entirely from everything he knew, his obligations, war and conquests. Kingdoms. None of that mattered here, he was just another fisherman in the village.

Emryc was silent as she spoke, his demeanor as calm as always. However, at her very last words, he visibly tensed. Eyebrows furrowed slightly and it was clear it was the first thing that drew out a real reaction from him. The half Sephi’s mind exploded into many thoughts. Was she certain? Malicia didn’t strike him as the type to truly understand the depth and meaning of being a Drast. She would likely not even know the implications and weight of that name.

There had been a time when that admission would have had Emryc down on one knee ready to serve. Drast had been his religion and he saw those from the bloodline as descendants of the gods themselves. That had all been before Morgan took over a year to shift Emryc’s mentality and remind him to see people for simply who they were. Not by the weight of a name.

Emryc exhaled softly, several different thoughts and principles clashing against one another. He was silent for a while, considering her decision to name the children after his name instead of hers. While he had many thoughts on the matter, they were all thoughts to meditate on instead of discussing. Emryc had his way of operating.

After a while, he rose to stand, extending a hand to help her up, “There is an inn with a large room that we can stay in while you are here,” Emryc had preferred his own hut over an inn, but it would provide the level of comfort she likely needed this late in the pregnancy.

As they walked through the village, Malicia would notice curious glances her way. The women especially were giving her rather dirty looks, some of them looking back and forth between her and Emryc. While Emryc had never engaged in anything with a woman from the village, he still drew a tremendous amount of attention.

He slowly made his way over to the inn, using his walking stick to ensure he didn’t trip. While Force Sight afforded basic shapes, he still missed details. There was a simple desk up front with a woman manning it. She lit up with a smile upon spotting the blind fisherman.

“Rick!” She said cheerfully, “I thought I’d never see you in here,” She fixed up her hair, clearly forgetting that he was blind, “Did you catch any fish today?”

“Need that big top river facing room if you’ve got it,” Emryc said simply.

“Oh uh...okay..” She suddenly looked from him over to the very pregnant Malicia before she nosily blurted out, “So...not just you?”

“My wife and I,” Emryc said after a moment of pause. The girl’s eyes widened at once, followed by a very obviously disappointed look as she quietly prepared the keys.

Emryc was oblivious to it all, standing around as he vaguely poked at the ground with his walking stick.

The small Sith's yellows rose to Emryc again when he fell silent. She could clearly see that he was tense and it seemed like he was in deep thought as well, though she wasn't entirely sure why. Her eyes travelled back to the datapad and a thought struck her. The report flashed in her eyes, scrolling down until she was able to confirm that the surname did in fact belong to Andraste, the first Sith Empress. That made sense to her. Emryc was a history buff so it was likely he recalled it right away.

Though her thoughts continued to wander. Despite not being as interested in history as her husband, she had looked somewhat into Andraste before because of his influence. A feeling of inadequacy suddenly fell over her. The space Malicia had conquered was minuscule compared to the ancient Empresses. All of her accomplishments suddenly felt very small compared.

Malicia was her own woman, but... it was suddenly very hard not to compare herself.

Her thoughts were cut off and she blinked a few times when Emryc offered his hand and spoke. Reality settled in again and her yellows lingered on Emryc. Those self-doubting thoughts were still there, but Malicia knew that she wanted to be here with Emryc. There was no other place she wanted to be more than here. She smiled softly and accepted her husbands hand, rising to her feet, curling her fingers around his while they walked.

It was impossible not to notice the walking stick in Emryc's hand while he used it. A lot of thoughts suddenly rushed through her mind, accompanied by the thought of Emryc being blind, alone and afraid, and it hurt, but before she commented she stopped herself. Would it be wrong to speak of personal things in front of the villagers? They were staring. The ladies in particular. When she looked back at them she saw daggers in their eyes, a look she'd seen before. She was starting to see a pattern now but it only confused her further. She wanted to ask Emryc something but decided to wait.

She didn't react to the innkeeper since her eyes wandered off to look around. She didn't look back until Emryc called her his wife, and something about it made her smile softly.

The steps up into the room creaked. They were steady enough but Malicia wondered how old they were. Inside the inn wasn't the main chamber of a palace but a warm, comfortable room. Enough for her. If Emryc didn't let go of her hand, she'd walk to the cushioned chairs in front of the fireplace with him behind, the warmth drawing because of the sun beginning to settle. Finally she turned to Emryc and spoke, "You lost your sight?" she felt herself tip her head slightly, concern settling there, "There might be options to restore it. Would you be against me having my men look into it for you?"

Her eyes lingered on his beard after, and if he sat in one of the chairs she'd walk up to him and reach out, carefully, to softly and curiously ran her fingers along his jaw as she thought. "Do you enjoy your beard?" she asked inquisitively, unsure of what his answer might be. "I saw a razor and other tools on the dresser, I could shave it for you and even cut your hair if you desire. I have done it before for my brothers."

Emryc had to duck quite a bit to get through the doorway, thankful for Force Sight in identifying shapes and obstacles. The half Sephi had released Malicia after helping her up wherever needed. Between his blindness and her pregnancy, it took them a fair bit of time to get anywhere.

He had no opinions on the room, but it certainly smelled nice. There were oils and candles that ensured the room smelled wonderful. There was an attached balcony that opened up to the river. Winds blew through the soft curtains that had clearly been there for a long time.

Emryc stood near the balcony, letting the sun brush his skin and hair. He heard her speak, but he didn’t respond immediately. The topic of his blindness was one that used to make him viscerally angry. Now, months after meditation and tempering himself, it was something he could at least address without flying into a rage.

“Nothing in the known galaxy can fix it,” He stated simply. The doctors at the hospital told him there was no technology they knew of short of replacing them with cybernetics. Emryc refused cybernetics, preferring to keep his eyes as is.

Emryc sat down in one of the chairs, running his fingers through his hair. He felt her hand against his beard and she would realize it was actually soft and perfectly well kept, “What, don’t want it tickling your thighs?” He asked casually. While he would have lingered to catch the inevitable red on her face, he would have to make do with uncomfortable rustling around.

“I’m Rick here,” He said after a moment. That was all he had to say on the matter. The beard and long hair would stay.

“Do you have any things that need to be brought up?” He would retrieve them if needed - he had been firm about cultists near the village. Even for menial tasks.

Nothing could fix it? Her gaze lowered slightly. She wanted to believe there was a way to help. The Force could do incredible things, but she didn't want to push the subject.

Not that she was able to linger on the subject. She shifted suddenly when he commented about his beard, her body tightening inward in reaction and... "That's not..." her hand retracted from Emryc's face to come to her own, resting against her cheek. She knew that Emryc couldn't see the blush so she wasn't sure why she'd done it. "Not... not what I meant. The beard certainly gives you a look..." she said with a deepening blush, simply nodding at his following answer.

She'd almost forgotten that Emryc could do this to her. Maybe it was just her naturally, but also she hadn't been married before, or been in a relationship before or even in a bed with a man before Emryc.

"I..." she tipped her head slightly, curling her fingers against her cheek since she was still a little frazzled. "I would like my shampoo and conditioner, and my hair brush, and my perfume and my sets of clothing I had planned for this week and..." she stopped, figuring out that she could simply write a list, though her silence lingered for a few seconds more when she thought on the subject further, "But I don't need it all right away"

After a second she turned to the nearby table, reaching down to her belt to confirm something. She felt relief when she did and pulled her vial with her Black Rose out, placing it on the table carefully. Only allowing a soft clink of the glass against the dark wood. She looked down at her belly after, then at Emryc for a second and continued, "I don't require much more than what I have here," she added, pausing when her thoughts wandered again to the subject of living here.

"Emryc, the village girls dislike me. I even sensed hate in some." To her they were simply food, though she did not know how Emryc viewed them. She assumed that he'd want a warning about it, at least.

It was a credit to Emryc’s stoic nature that he kept a perfectly composed and straight face as Malicia fumbled over her words. He rose from his seat and quirked an eyebrow as she rattled off a set of things she needed. He almost opened his mouth to remind her that he would only retrieve something if it was already gathered in a bag before she retracted what she said. As a result, he said nothing, walking over towards where he could smell some fruit.

Emryc grabbed an apple from a tray nearby, biting into it and marveling at the flavor. Fruits from this village were leagues better than anywhere else in the galaxy. He stood near the balcony, letting the breeze come in and brush against his skin.

Her words about the women drew no response at first. There was only the sound of him biting into the apple and taking his time enjoying it. He had forgotten that Malicia could come across naive sometimes. For a moment it appeared as if he hadn’t heard her, but she likely knew his ways by now. There were times when he didn’t bother addressing topics, and other times he simply took his time.

In this case, the apple was exceedingly good, and he took a couple more bites. He swallowed and floated it in the air nonchalantly, “Are you surprised? Look at me,” He stated flatly, “They want to jump on my cock and you clearly already have,” Emryc practically rolled his eyes (those muscles worked just fine) before casually tossing the apple core deftly into a nearby bin, "Ignore them."

“Has pregnancy altered your hunger?”
He asked sharply after a moment, “Can you control it?” Emryc wasn’t keen on her devouring the whole village. In fact, he was surprised to see her successfully carrying children with what he had seen in her before.

As he awaited a response, he walked over to the attached refresher that actually had quite a nice tub in it. Emryc began to fill it with warm water.

Malicia took a seat in the chair while Emryc ate his apple, breathing out as she eased into the seat. She'd almost forgotten about some of Emryc's traits, but she understood that he took his time to answer sometimes, when he did. She looked up at him when he began to answer then promptly looked away. "Oh..." she said, his answer not helping the burning of her cheeks.

She wasn't certain how to answer him, or why their ire was on her just because they wanted to sleep with Emryc. Perhaps it'd be something she'd understand better with time. The problem was that she was not untauntable, a weakness she was well aware, but she'd attempt to ignore them.

At his last questions her eyes rose up to him again, watching him vanish into the fresher. "When I became pregnant my hunger started to quiet, and its continued to become quieter the further along I've gotten. Right now its so quiet that I do not worry about losing control." Her eyes lowered as she recalled her thoughts on the subject. "I have this sense that it wants the children to be born but I cannot fathom why. Perhaps I am wrong."

The sound of the water filling the tub made Malicia notice the neatly folded towels on the dresser. She stood without thinking and walked over to them, grabbing a towl and bringing it to the bathroom. Standing in the door, she continued her thoughts, "Its possible the ritual Renfry preformed on me numbed the hunger too, though it was simply meant to protect the twins from it."

Renfry. So Malicia had been interacting with Renfry as well. Emryc groaned inwardly, but nothing manifested to the surface. From the sounds of it, he had a fair bit of drama he left behind. The village life sounded more and more pleasing, though he did think about ISC often.

The water was done filling up and perfectly warm, but not too hot. He considered the hunger and the way it avoided attacking the twins or taking over her a bit more. It didn’t quite line up with what he expected, and he had a feeling it may begin to creep on her when she didn’t expect it.

Emryc said nothing on it, motioning towards the tub, “Get in,” He stated. He would wait for her to undress before guiding her in with his hand, “I will have some girls tend to you,” He stated quietly. If she allowed it, he would guide her into the tub before stepping away to get others for her.

Moments later, two girls that were in their late teens or early 20s came over to help Malicia. They often tended to the Chief’s wife and were well versed with serving as handmaidens. One of them would gently wash Malicia’s hair and massage her scalp. Hairbrushes and other accessories were brought to pamper her, along with different kinds of creams and butters for her belly.

One of the girls grasped a hold of Malicia’s hand, beginning to clean her nails while they were damp. She glanced at the small councilor and smiled, “Have you traveled here from afar, my lady?” She asked warmly.

Meanwhile, Emryc wandered over to the balcony, sat down in a chair and tilted it slightly back with his feet propped up on the railing. His cigarra was out and he was puffing on it while he felt the sun’s warm rays on his face along with the brush of the wind.

She was surprised when he said to get in. The soft feel of the towel against her curling fingers brought her gaze back down. She'd even brought a towel for Emryc, but she smiled softly after a second. It was thoughtful of him to run a bath for her.

"Okay," she answered his command without any real delay. She listened to no one like this, except for Emryc apparently. Reaching up, she pulled the elastic out of her silver hair. Loose, silver strands fell over her shoulders, and she shifted slightly, blushing a little as she reached up to next pull a string and loosen her dress. The clothing items slid off her body, leaving her exposed but when she turned she smiled again at Emryc's offer.

"Thank you," she said softly, accepting his hand and help into the water even if it'd been a long time since she undressed in front of him. While he helped in into the tub, it was very difficult not to notice the size of his hands and his arms, especially as they glistened from the steams moisture. Warmth took over her cheeks after catching her eyes lingering there, deepened further by the waters warm embrace.

A handful of moments past, and she noticed he'd even made sure that it wasn't too hot. Her yellows returned to Emryc in reaction to his thoughtfulness, tipping her head curiously at him while he left. Two girls came into the fresher after a short while, which caused Malicia to raise her eyebrows until they said their greetings and started to pamper her.

How was she going to escape her growing feelings...?

She closed her eyes after awhile, feeling her mind drift away into thoughts about her future. She felt conflicted about it. Even if she was happy and relaxed in the tub, she felt more conflicted than she ever felt in her life. A voice from one of the girls cut through her thoughts but it the woman's question went unanswered. There were few that Malicia spoke to, let alone listened to, if it wasn't required.

After the bath, the two girls helped Malicia out, drying her off and getting her into a nightgown. Malicia left the fresher after, finding the large bed right away and climbing onto it, collapsing into its softness with a long and content sigh. The girls did not know how to properly take care of her hair, yet it was enough.

Her whole body felt heavy. She wasn't sure what Emryc was doing, if he was still in the room or if he was even awake, though she still spoke regardless, "I've decided to name our first born Emryc Thorn II. The second child I'm unsure still. Maybe Cregan Throne."

There was something about the name Cregan that she liked. Even though she'd only just seen it on report. Actually, she saw it several times on the report. Still, it sounded nice. Her thoughts began to drift, however, as her eyes became heavy and closed.

Emryc was still on the balcony by the time she was finished. He heard movement and went back inside. Force Sight allowed him to see the outlines and he could make out her moving to ease into the bed. Emryc stood at the balcony doorway while she spoke. The name rang in his mind for a moment, catching him by surprise. Was his name worth passing on? Long buried self doubts began to poke, his fingers curling against the doorframe.

He exhaled softly, making his way over towards her and easing into the bed next to her. It was incredibly comfortable and warm, very unlike the bedroll he slept on back in his hut. Emryc said nothing in response to her words, moving to lie down behind her while she was on her side. The girls had provided her with extra pillows for her belly and back, but he moved the one from her back away and replaced it with himself.

Emryc had been here before, and he felt her soft hair brushing against his face, the smell of fresh herbs and flowers from the strands. He did not sleep around others, and he wouldn’t now, but he took a moment to enjoy the bed and the calm.

His hand reached up to brush along Malicia’s arm, her slower breathing suggesting that she was finding it hard to stay awake. Emryc’s touch went along her side and curiously towards the rounded belly. It was the first time he had felt it, fingers tracing along the curve.

After a moment, he felt something budge against his touch and his fingers drew back instinctively, his body shifting in surprise. After a moment of pause, he returned his hand to her belly, feeling that little budge again. He laid there in silence, pondering on a mixture of shock and wonder as he felt little kicks against his hand.

Emryc kept his hand there before exhaling softly and burying his face against Malicia and closing his eyes. He wouldn’t sleep, but he would remain.
