A new backwater planet, a new rebel uprising, not really a new story to be honest.
One again Jakrev found himself bunkered down behind a smoking tree stump. He rolled his vibrant green and gold eyes at the thought of how he had come to be in this kind of situation again. A blaster bolt burned past him, scorching his fur with the heat of how close it had come to hitting him.
He had only been on the planet a few weeks and he was already being paid as a soldier by the charismatic rebel leader. Honestly Jakrev didn't know why they were fighting the established planetary government.....but they were and they had credits.....credits enough to hire mercenaries to fight for them, and that was good enough for Jakrev. He would have sighed if he could have. It seemed like a lifetime ago that he had been a Marine, in reality of course it had only been a few years, but those years had consisted of him running from planet to planet, fighting other people's battles and protecting them from threats that most honestly deserved.

He flinched as a blaster bolt shattered the side of the tree stump apart in burning splinters. Enough thoughts he decided. He spun around the stump, dropping to one knee and opened fire on the government soldiers, mowing down the three stupid enough to not be in cover.......Jakrev had heard that the government might have hired some Mandalorians to bolster their strengths, he was honestly rather hoping it was so......it should be interesting to see the famous warriors work.....

Bunkered down in a now roofless building where the front door was now gone and the carpet was littered with dust and rubble sat three mandalorians. One being Roxton Dagger, the esteemed Mandalore the Exalted to his people while the other two was Captain Atin Ordo and Elite Heger Gymir. Roxton needed to get out of his war room though and see some action, so he picked two Mandalorians to come with him for some action, and they found just the right backwater planet for it. It was nothing like a good rebellion to put down and then get paid for doing the work normal soldiers could not do.

"This will be fun. Elite Gymir, you see anything on your end?"

He asked, gripping his rifle tightly as he ejected a clip from it as it landed softly on the carpet under him as he slapped a fresh one into the rifle. All systems in his armor were up and running, which meant all they needed to do was get to the enemy just across from them. The blaster bolts slamming into their cover was not going to make it easy though, especially if the grenades started to come down on them.

Captain Atin Ordo chuckled listening to the sound of blasters as the resistance attempted to push their way forward towards the house the three of them had taken shelter in. He switched his view in his armor to x-ray, and looked outward. Nothing registered to close for comfort yet, though there was a group making their way forward, maybe 30 yards out.

"Permission to fly above and blow the advancing piss ants to hell sir?" He asked his Mandalore. Ordo wasn't exactly known for his subtlety by any means, what he was known for however was his specialty armor, and tacitcal thinking and his patented 'Superior ****ing Firepower' which had progressed him all the way up to the rank of Captain. Several more blaster bolts slammed into the wall of the building they were in as he looked expectantly towards Mandalore. His plan was to use one of the back windows of the house, fly up to the roof, and fire a couple missiles at the unsuspecting party which were currently attempting to barrel their way towards the mandalorians.

"Not exactly my dear lord Mandalore. Maybe a couple mercenaries, nothing a good ol' Mandalorian can't handle." Heger had golden armor, and that stood out from the soft grey of the burned out building he was currently stationed at. His armor had an intricate pattern hammered into it, with the effect of it being several dragons fighting classical Knights.

He lifted his blaster pistol and fired at the oncoming mercenaries. He hit two of them, and scattered the others.

"Once they get closer, they can feel my blade."

Jakrev saw blaster bolts whiz out of a burned out building about twenty five meters to his left and about fifty meter forward. He stared through the smoke of the battlefield and was able to catch a glimpse of bright gold armor shifting around inside.....so at least one enemy, probably more. He grabbed a thermal detonator off of his belt and lobbed it past the structure, it hit the ground and bounced to a stop just outside the building, on the opposite side as Jakrev. When it exploded he took the opportunity to bolt towards the wall, swift and graceful as a cat because....well he was one. He hoped that the explosion would distract the occupants long enough to let him make it to the wall without being spotted. Once there, he would hunker down behind it and assess the situation further......

"Permission granted, Captain. Enjoy!"

Mandalore yelled over the battle sounds around them, more debris coming down as his helmet had soot and bits of gravel on top. Ignoring it, he got up and propped his rifle onto a ledge to even his aim some and fired into the group that Heger fired at, giving Atin the cover he needed so everyone would not be firing at him like he was a clay pigeon just launched. That's when his helmet picked up something that flew towards them that was not gunfire, but a munition of sort.

Ducking down behind cover again as the grenade went off, Mandalore shrugged off the ringing and popped back out of cover just in time to see someone making a dash for their building.

"We got one going for the back. Hold the fort here, Elite. I'll take care of this."

He ordered, rolling away from his cover and towards where he saw the intruder head towards. He had to be a fast one to get here without getting shot.

"Excellent..." The words were spoken with an audible smile. He followed mandalore, though where mandalore went after the one, he knocked out a window, climbed out and the moment his feet hit the ground he activated his sen'tra flying easily up to the roof. He hunkered down and brought up his wrist, as two mini rockets side by side and took aim at a larger group of the scattered foes.

One volley went off in a brilliant explosion as various body parts went flying eveywhere. He had aimed for a nearby tree, turning it into a wooden shrapnel fest against the poorly armored rebels, as well as setting a nice little fire to the immediate area that may or may not die out. As any good mandalorian, he immediately began to move to reposition himself, hoping down the back and using the sen'tra to lighten his fall.

Heger chuckled to himself when he felt the thermal detonator explode nearby.

"Don't they ever tell you, never bring a firework to a explosive contest?" He then pulled a ring of five different grenades from his belt, all tied together. Similar to the idea of Captain Ordo, h threw it towards a large group of mercenaries, where it caused a most extreme case of confusion.

"I will stay back to provide covering fire my lord." Heger began firing back towards the rebels. Hopefully that weird cat creature would show up, he was rather hungry.

Jakrev was pressed against the wall. He breathed deeply. This was gonna be close quarters. He slung his rifle across his back and pulled a blaster pistol. Holding it in his right hand he extended the claws in his left. Advantage of being a cat, he thought with small smirk, you can never be unarmed unless your arms are literally taken off.....and even then you could bite them in the bloody kneecap or something.

He reached up and grabbed the top of the wall, easily hauling his seven foot two framed up and over the wall. He landed deftly on his feet, face to face with a man in a heavy suit of armor.....well not exactly face to face....the man was looking at Jakrev's chest because of the height difference....but the expression worked. He recognized the famous t-visor on the warrior's helmet.

Fierfek, he thought to himself, maybe I shouldn't have wished to fight these guys after all.....

The Mandalore had his rifle set onto the feline who had come into the building they were using, and he could not help but smile at such perfect timing.

"Well, you are a tall one and not what I expected. Drop your weapons and on your knees, I will not ask a second time."

He commanded, his hand on the second tripper that would fire the shotgun muzzle under his rifle. At this range it would be fatal, and there was not much room for a shoot out here, unless more of the building came down.

Jakrev's lip curled up in a silent growl, his sharp white teeth glinting. He let the pistol fall to the ground, but kept his claws extended, in all the smoke and chaos of a battlefield there was always a good chance those small things would go unnoticed.

His eyes were narrowed with anger, of course it was his luck this mando would have a shotgun pointed right at him when he vaulted the wall......He wished he had the vocal capacity to sigh so that he could display his displeasure.

“Well my good feline friend, thank you for not shooting me.” Heger did stay far enough out of reach though, with his blaster pistol at the ready. “Yet.”

“My Mandalore, what do you wish with this feisty opponent?"

"My gut says I outta just shoot him right now considering how dangerous he is. But that's just not too much in my nature, he looks quite capable, no doubt no mere person could get this far."

Mandalore said, looking at the feline as he approached him, pressing the muzzle to his chest and looked down to him.

"So here is your choices, friend. Either you go back over there and try to deal with your rebel friends to back down, stop or kill some if you must and we'll go in behind you at a distance to clean up. Or, I can have my friend here do what I don't feel like doing to your life. It's your choice, but only one of them can have a beneficial future for you."

Jakrev curled his lip again. Now he was in a conundrum. Could he really betray his employers? He would loose all credibility if he did that. Loyalty was of a paramount importance to Jakrev. He let his claws slide back into his paws and shook his head.
He glared defiantly into the dark t-visor of the man in front of him. It was a gaze that spoke volumes, spoke of loyalty and honor.

Mandalore only sighed under his helmet, shaking his head as he turned the gun away from Jakrev, firing it into the floor. He then went to aim it back at his prisoner, the muzzle quite hot and inches away from Jakrev's chest. He was not unmerciful, but he could not just let a prisoner go at a time like this.

"I'm going to ask one more time. Abandon the losing side, there is no future for you there. I can see you understand me, so a simple nod or shake of the head will suffice."
