A PLEA TO GREE // Imperial Mission Pack
The Gree — a reclusive race of tentacled beings — are the stuff of galactic myth. Their technology is legendary and, until recently, so were they. Since their "discovery" by the larger galaxy, all three galactic powers have studied Gree culture in an effort to acquire a trading relationship with them—thus obtaining their technological wonders. However, the Gree have resisted every probe... until now.
The Gree grand council has recently granted off-worlders permission to land on their homeworld. Why? Because a machine, thought to have been designed by the ancient Gree, has recently awakened from its dormant state, threatening the aliens' homeworld with apocalyptic consequences if it is not stopped. This is the Empire's opportunity to get in close with the Gree and obtain their support.
Their technology could critically alter the course of our war with the Jedi, and give us an advantage over our tense rivals, the Mandalorians. We must be victorious.

The mysterious machine seems to rely on several massive facilities to generate its power. One of these, lying a short distance from several Gree settlements, has recently become unstable. Detonation would be cataclysmic for the Gree caught in the blast zone. But their tragedy is our opportunity.
In order to minimize Imperial losses in the event of a meltdown, a two-man team is to infiltrate the ancient power-generating facility and either stabilize or shut down the reactor. But be warned: the reactor isn't the only danger in those ancient walls. With the reactivation of the mysterious Gree machine, many of the facilities guard droids have also come back online. These droids are highly unpredictable and dangerous.

Droids, it would seem, were not all that were reawakened with the re-emergence of this ancient machine. Reports are coming in from the settlements around the machine of strange mechanical monsters. Imperial Intelligence has dispatched drones to the sites of these attacks and uncovered something unnerving: machines with biological bases... and they wield lightsabers?!
Your mission is to infiltrate the facility, located on the north side of the machine site, where these mechanical monstrosities are coming from and destroy every last one of them. Then, make your way into the bowels of the facility and uncover just exactly what these lightsaber-wielding androids are or were. Bring your findings back to the Empire for study.

A breakthrough in the mystery! It would seem the machine is a hypergate: an ancient piece of Gree technology that predates the hyperdrive—connecting two points in space and allowing for instantaneous travel! Such a machine is revolutionary! Unfortunately, the Gree have long-since forgotten how these ancient technological marvels work. Even more unfortunately? It still works.
From the portal generated by this hypergate, a massive and vicious insectoid creature has emerged. In addition to being incredibly aggressive, the creature has a host of other nasty attributes. Its claws and spines are dripping with a poisonous fluid, its blood is acidic, and its carapace seems to be highly resistant to lightsaber strikes. Furthermore, the creature seems to resist mental control with the Force. Just what is this thing?! Still, its rampage threatens to cause the gate to collapse prematurely, which could have catastrophic implications for the Gree species and the planet they inhabit.
Your mission is simple and dangerous: You must kill the monster and then you must find a way to (safely) shut down the hypergate before more of its kind are able to sneak through. Our success on Gree is hinged on your success!
