Black Spire Outpost. For hundreds of years it was a place of trade, smuggling, and overall adventuring. The place was unique in that it was out of the way, yet still a good stopover for the occasional trader, smuggler, pirate, and in this case a bounty hunger/mercenary like Dolworth. He entered a small hole in the wall called Oga's looking around to find a suitable spot among the hustle and bustle. Seems the place is busy, he thought to himself as he walked passed the various peoples trying to keep to themselves. He looked to notice a berth near the back of the cantina, complete with a set of curtains that could be pulled for privacy. Without a word he took a spot and pulled the curtains back to give him some privacy yet some holes to spot anyone coming his way. He removed his helmet, setting it next to him while he checked the menu for anything to eat. As he did he noticed an abandoned deck of Sabaac cards laying near the wall the table was braced against, grinning at the obscure thing before returning to finding something on the menu...

Talon slipped into a seat next to Dol and looked around. "Big table..." he muttered; "Hope your not waiting for anyone. They'll never find you in this place." He laughed before turning his attention to the cards. In seconds, he had pounced, picking them up as quickly as possible and counting them out.

"Kriff, they're all here." He tested an old card trick he had learned a while back on himself, failing the first time but succeeding in fooling his own eyes, if not his brain, the second. "Remember the last time we played this? You guys got your besk'ar handed to you." He grinned and fiddled with the deck.

"You up for a game?"

Preef was on his way out of Hutt Space and had to refuel on Batuu. That's why he was there. It certainly had nothing to do with him having some extra credits to burn and realizing it had been a while since he played Sabaac. There was no reason therefore for the rodian to walk into a cantina..

Preef walked through the doors just after a Mandalorian (@DarkSaber) and headed straight for the bar. "Got any Hutta Shine?" he asked, but the droid gave him a quizzical look, <<Excuse me, Sir. I seem to have no entry in my liquor database under that name>>" Ofcourse it wouldn't, for shine wasn't legally produced and was never the same. Still, Preef looked at the droid suspiciously for a moment anyway. "Corellian Whiskey, then. You got that?" The droid nodded, with its entire upper body as they do, <<Certainly>>

Drink in hand, Preef began to walk passed the table looking for a free seat in a game. He wasn't lucky until he spotted a hand through a curtain. That hand was holding Sabaac cards he was sure of it, but it was also armored and behind a curtain. Mandalorians, Preef startled. If he saw one of them without their helmet they'd most certainly kill him for it.

"Excuse me," he called through the curtain, "You playing Sabaac?"

Roland had the day off. A rare occurrence but in light of recent events he asked to just not do any more for the day. Having been in the area for work anyways, the Sector Ranger had decided to get a drink at one of the few places that served alcohol. Walking into the establishment the cloak fluttered at the hem and continued as he moved towards the bar to get a drink.

A Rodian beside him he felt was staring at him. When he turned his hooded helmet to the side he saw the large eyes were actually looking past Roland and towards a curtain room. Maybe the Rodian was tracking some bounty. A slight murmur came from the man but the Rodian went to find a seat at the table. When he went past the curtain, the ranger spotted the Mandalorians beyond it.

Mandalorians were rare enough but Roland did have a sense of curiosity. One had his helmet off though so he was obviously not a follower of The Way of Mandalore. That meant he probably didn't know his own clan. "Whiskey...with a straw...please." He told the droid as it came up to take his order. Maybe later he would chat with them. It was clear they wanted privacy and considering their relative recent arrival along with Roland's own desire to relax he stayed by the bar with his drink for the time being. Taking the tumbler of dark liquor he raised the contrasting bright purple straw to underneath his helmet so he wouldn't have to take it off and took a sip. The Ranger's cross visored helmet scanned the room to see if there were any other interesting people or if there was a free spot to sit down.

Dolworth grinned, amused by Talon's fiddling with the cards. Without a word he yanked a few bits of cash from his pockets and tossed it on the table, "I'm in" he said as he waited for Talon to deal out the cards, "Standard or set wild?" he asked as he watched Talon's hands carefully...

Talon eyed Dol and the money hungrily. "Standard--no excuses for when I beat your ass." He laughed. Last time he'd cheated when they'd played, but given back all of his winnings nevertheless. This time--well, let's just say that dinner was on Dol. He shuffled and placed the cards down before a voice spoke from outside the curtain.

Nodding at Dol before pointing to his Vod's helmet, he stalled, giving ample time to slip it on. He then glanced at the curtain and spoke in a low voice. "You want in?" The voice sounded--greasy? Definitely, well, not quite shady but cunning. He pulled the curtain back and noticed the Rodian, wondering if a creature like him would make much of a challenge in sabacc or any other part of life. He reminded himself to avoid underestimation and nodded towards the being in greeting, motioning for him to take a seat, were he to accept the offer.
