Senin's reply was as much a boast as it was a tease, and Laeonas couldn't help but chuckle as he looked down on his lover, laid out on the ruined mattress. "One of these days, you'll 'ave ta show me more." He teased back. As they fell into their kiss, the man felt tempted to go further; to go down the line of his jaw, down to his neck, perhaps only stopping at the base of his-

-but the aching in his hips pushed away any thoughts of continuing their passion. At least, not before the man could rest and recover for a bit longer. Besides, they had all the time in the world to keep going at it. After getting up and reaching the shower, Laeonas would start getting to work, beginning with shampooing his hair— which it definitely needed. He moved on to washing his face, and while his eyes were closed to avoid soap burns, he could sense his approaching companion.

As the redhead finally reached him, wrapping his arms around the man’s waist, Laeonas would turn with a knowing smile, not in the least bit surprised by his presence. “If yer tryna surprise me, ya should step lighter.” He cooe’d, his face now hovering barely a few centimeters from Senin’s own. “But Ai’ll take ya up on yer offer.” He’s answer, before handing the G’wenean the bar of soap he’d been using.

As Senin’s hands ran over the man’s torso, Laeonas’ gaze turned to look down at his figure, following the man’s fingers as they traced between the lines of muscle and bone. Aquamarines would turn up to face his partner again, and a smile slowly started forming on his face before he leaned in— not for a kiss, but to simply rest on the shoulders of his partner, arms wrapping around his waist. A blissful sigh escaped his lips as the water ran over the both of them, and Laeonas would be left unable to stop what came next.

Hands would reach down and find purchase below Senin’s waist, fingers gripping soft flesh as, in spite of Laeonas’ aching hips, the other man was lifted up into his embrace, the glass pane of the shower being used as back support. Senin would feel him— all of him. The rising and falling of his chest, the slight trembling in his hands when he was lifted, the exhale and inhale of his breathe against his neck. Ofcourse, the next thing that came were the man’s lips, pressed firmly against his own.

Laeonas hadn’t even realized what he was doing until he was already moving. He doubted that the man would care much at all though.

Senin laughed of Laeonas’ answer. “I’ll remember that tip next time, Gato.” if he really wanted, the G’weneen would arrive in this shower without any sound. As an Acolyte, he trained for missions where stealth would be necessary. The older man would never see him coming.

A smile appeared on his lips when Laeonas agreed with his offer and handed to him the bar of soap. Senin would move it around his hands, using the water that was falling over them to make foam. Once it was good enough, the Acolyte started to move his hands through the Brentaalan’s body.

His touches would range from tenderness to sensual. Senin’s hands would trace every single muscle and scar in a nearly worshipful way. From the days that they spent together, the Acolyte had noticed that his lover was somewhat narcissistic and prideful. After how good he was last night, the G’weneen had decided that his body deserved to receive this treat. At least for today.

When Laeonas moved his head toward him, the Acolyte really thought that the Brentaalan was going to kiss him. However, he only leaned it on Senin’s shoulder. The red-haired man used this opportunity to move his hands through the other’s shoulders, doing the same that he did on the older man’s torso. Since Laeo’s head was close to his mouth, the G’weneen had started to whisper lewd things to him while he did the massage.

Then, Laeonas moved his hands below the Acolyte’s waist. Senin allowed himself to be lifted, already using his leg to hold the Brentaalan’s waist. He happily welcomed the other’s lips against his, starting another delicious kiss. By this point, the Acolyte was going crazy with the sensation of the dark-haired man’s body against his.

His hands, that were once doing a massage, were now moving erratically through Laeonas’ back. Using his legs, Senin would make their bodies become even more close. He wanted the Brentaalan to feel every part of him too. He would break their kiss to breath and would look at the older man, his eyes full of lust. “Gato.” it would be the last thing that he said before diving back in another kiss, their bodies moving as if they were one.

Working himself out was a matter of practicality when he'd started. Gangfights were common, and that meant he had to be strong enough to break jaws better than the people trying to break his own. He'd grown up in a city full of statues and monuments, built by lords past to display their greatness. Statues of themselves, of their fathers and grandmothers, portrayed the same as they would portray any manner of God; naked, built to physical perfection.

And who was Laeonas, if not the son of a lord? A Tannaras ought to look the part; he already had all those features that marked him as his father's son, apart from the bright red hair they all shared. But as he continued to work, and continued to notice the changes his body went through; the deeper definition in his muscles, the way he could watch everything move as he did. The way he'd gone from a skinny boy covered in every mark and blemish that he'd suffered over beating after beating, firefight after firefight, shank after shank... to the picture of nobility. Young, fit.

Beautiful.

And yet scarcely more than a few dozen had seen what he really, truly looked like. The boy who clad himself in long trench coats, full body suits, desperate to hide the physical imperfections that kept him from looking the way his ancestors did. It barely occurred to him that every Tannaras wasn't a perpetually youthful, beautiful, handsome man or woman with the body of a deity. But that's what he wanted to be when he looked in the mirror; forever young, forever beautiful.

And for the first time in his life, he'd let someone in. To see him, feel him, taste him. To experience him in ways none had before. To please him in ways none had before. The way Senin bathed him, running the bar up his back, fingers trailing along the knots in his flesh-- it was the way he'd looked and treated himself. Senin Ravello, the second member of the Church to Divus Laeonas Tannaras. A follower almost as devout as the man himself.

And what was Laeonas, if not one who repaid all he was given?

"Senin~" He whispered back, a breathy greeting that was the last thing to escape his mouth before the redhead's met his. His arm, wrapped around the man's waist, tightened around, while the other hand was pressed against the back glass for support. As they began to move, water cascading down Laeonas' back as much as sweat, the whole point of their shower derailed as he railed the G'wenean.

--------

Their romp in the shower had been a bit slower, with Laeonas lacking the same boundless strength and stamina he had after their entire evening of passion. After that, the two had retired to his bedroom, before realizing that the bed was completely unfit for sleeping anymore and heading instead to the sofa in the holoroom. The next day was more of the same; the two went out clothes shopping, got lunch, did some sight seeing, than came back and spent the entire evening doing what they'd done the previous day. Lather, rinse, repeat over the course of half a week, and this had easily turned into the single best vacation of Laeonas' life.

Usually he'd have rented the services of a couple professionals, but he definitely didn't need help enjoying himself.

No, definitely not.

Before he could kiss Laeonas, Senin heard the man calling his name. It was only a whisper, but the way that it was pronounced made a shiver run down the Acolyte’s spine. It was so full of lust and want that made the G’weneen desire the other even more. He tightened the grip of his legs around Laeo’s waist, while he moved his body against the other’s.

When their mouths met once again, Senin felt Laeonas wrap one of his arms around his waist while the other was pressing against the glass to support the two. The Acolyte continued to move his hands across the Brentaalan’s back. This time he wasn’t cleaning the man anymore. He was lustfully touching him, wanting to preserve in his memory the sensation of each scar and muscle there.

Then, their bath became another moment of passion, with the bathroom becoming filled with the sound of skin against skin and moans. This time it was slower, but Senin loved it.

—------------------------

When they finished their “bath” together, the two returned to Laeonas’ bedroom. However, with the bed being in a terrible state, they decided to spend the night on the sofa in the holoroom. With the exception of some making out, their moment in the shower was the last of the day. They were both tired and needed a good time to sleep.

For the next few days, the two stayed together. They would wake up, go out together, return late in the night and have long moments of passion. During this time, Senin had helped Laeonas buy a new bed, practice kap’uera and they also visited the place that the G’weneen had said that sold spice. He took note that the Brentaalan became more wild with it.

They had spent almost a week this way. This had become Senin’s best vacation. However, they still needed to find someone to open the battery. The Acolyte would soon need to return to his homeworld.

After another of their nights, Senin had woken up earlier than Laeonas. His head was resting over the Brentaalan’s chest, which had become his favorite position to sleep. The two had discussed yesterday about going to find someone to open the battery today. The Acolyte could only have two more days to stay on Zeltros, they needed to act now.

Wanting to wake his lover pleasantly, Senin carefully moved until he was over Laeonas’ body and started to distribute kisses on his skin. He would be slowly moving down the Brentaalan, while his hands were massaging his arms. The Acolyte wondered if the other man would like it.

Waking to kisses was something that they'd both made abundantly clear was acceptable over the past few nights mornings together. What Senin was doing now was something completely new ofcourse, and it woke Laeonas with a stir. The man would glance down, watching the redhead kiss along his chest and abdomen, getting lower as the seconds ticked by. "Darlin'... ya'v gotta stop." He teased, a chuckle rumbling from his chest.

"Ai don't want this entire mornin' turnin' inta'nother shagfest." He called, reaching to run a hand through his hair as the man sat up in bed. Yawning, he'd stretch, before leaning down to give the other man a quick kiss on the lips before standing up. The man did a couple proper stretches, adding, "Ai'm gonna get a quick spritz and than make breakfast. We'll look somewhere ta find our battery cracker-- and than we'll find some journo ta publish what we find."

The morning went on as it usually did. If Senin tried to pull him back, Laeonas would… struggle to turn him down. He’d toss him a kiss and whisper a few things, but once disengaged the man’s entire demeanor shifted. From the showers to breakfast back to his wardrobe, the man moved with a purpose that seemed almost mechanical. It was a stark contrast to the playful, aggressive partner he’d been used to.

By the time he was finished, Laeonas was clad in an outfit of pitch black’s and grey’s; a leather jacket that came down to his midrim, a tight fitting shirt that barely obscured his frame, and loose pants just as black as everything else. It was an outfit that was meant to intimidate as well as impress.

“Ready to go?” He’d call, waiting out in the cockpit with the battery in hand.

Senin smiled when he heard Laeonas talking. “Good morning, Gato.” he said, before giving one last kiss at the older man’s chest. “Yeah, we will probably end up not getting out of bed today, again.” the same thing had happened yesterday. They had decided to look for someone to open the battery, but after some kisses the two ended having another marathon of passion.

We need to go slow, I’m still tired from yesterday.” he said, while getting off the Brentaalan’s body. When he sat on the bed, the Acolyte winced. All that they did these last days was starting to take its price. “I’ll really need some time to recover.” probably he was going to need an entire week.

When Laeonas mentioned that he was going to make breakfast, Senin didn’t become excited with the possibility of going to eat something soon, even being so hungry like he was. During these days, he learned that cooking wasn’t really the Brentaalan’s specialty. The older man needed someone to teach him how to cook, but the G’weneen decided to not say anything about it and eat what was offered everyday . Even if it was the same pre-cooked food.

After taking a shower and having breakfast, Senin was prepared for them to go after someone that could open the battery. He went after the older man, finding him in the cockpit. Like Laeonas, the Acolyte was also dressed in black, but it was probably less intimidating. His outfit made him look more like a rich guy that had enough money to bribe someone.

I’m. Yesterday, while you was in the shower, I found the address of someone that maybe can help us.” he sat in the chair and typed it in his Datapad, then he showed it to the older man. There was a picture of a male Togruta and some information about his activities. “He lives in the outskirts of the city and apparently was involved in stealing vehicles. Maybe we could pay this guy a visit.

Laeonas had prepared for the possibility of Senin dragging him back to bed for an hour the night before. After engaging in a week of uninhibited indulgence it took a lot of willpower to resist temptation-- which was why he'd steeled himself so heavily. But the man hadn't protested, a fact that brought quite a bit of relief. Deus knew how difficult it was becoming to say no to the ginger. That didn’t stop him from quietly smirking when Senin confessed about just how sore he was.

After calling to his partner, Laeonas would wait for about a minute, before the man finally entered through the threshold into the cargo hold. The steely expression would break as he looked at the man's outfit, a grin spreading across his lips. The grin didn't break as the man explained where they were going, and who they were meeting. "And what, yer dressin' ta impress?" He'd ask, teasingly cocking an eyebrow. "'Opefully 'is taste in clothin's about as good as ours."

They'd make their way to the outskirts of the port, hopping in a cab-- and inside, a familiar to Zeltron woman turned and looked at them. "Well, you're looking better than when I last saw ya!" She joked, prompting a chuckle from the raven haired human. "It's a wonder what a bit'f bacta can do fer a busted up lung." He joked back, prompting a wide eyed look from the Zeltron. "God, that's a hell of an injury-- how're you already out?" She'd ask. The man's smile drooped a little, adding, "ehh... Aidunno... but we need ya t'take us somewhere."

The woman obviously had further questions, but she didn't keep interrogating the human, instead replying, "Really? You got in a cab and you need to go somewhere?" with a halfway cheeky smirk. It was obvious that she'd been waiting awhile to make a joke like that, and Laeo couldn't help but humor her with a chuckle. "Yeah, think ya can take us out here?" Laeonas asked, handing her the datacard with the address on it. The woman's eyes squinted so she could read, replying, "Sure, but that's a long ways away." Before kicking the speeder into gear and taking off.

The ride took shorter than either could've expected, with the cab pilot flying across the cityscape. The woman was taking a very bizarre route, finding unique ways to make shortcuts and speed up their ride. The areas grew seedier and seedier as time went on, until they finally stopped at a street in a run down red light district. "Reminds me of 'ome." He joked, the dry tone in his voice quite evident. He'd hand over the fair that was owed, and than step out onto the streets.

Senin smiled with Laeonas comment about his clothing. Even after all these days that the two stayed together, the Acolyte still felt good when the older man said that he dressed well. He had learned that the Brentaalan rarely gave praises to others, so these comments were the closest thing that could be considered as one.

He approached Laeonas, moving his right hand to the other man’s chest. “Yes, but I wanted to impress you more. Did it work?” he winked at the Brentaalan, before leaning to kiss him on the lips. It was brief, with Senin needing to use all his power to not go further and start to strip the other man.

After finishing the kiss, the two would walk out of the ship toward the outskirts of the spaceport. There they would wait for the arrival of a cab. They would not need to wait for much time, a vehicle would soon arrive. Inside it was the same female Zeltron that they met on the night that they went to the hospital.

The Acolyte remained in silence watching the exchange between the Zeltron and Laeonas. He wanted to laugh when she asked how the Brentaalan was already out of the hospital. If she knew that they were Force sensitive and that the dark-haired had used it to heal himself. However, Senin still thought that the others shouldn’t have done it. This could have left him even worse.

The trip wasn’t as long as he had thought. The pilot went faster and soon they arrived at the seedier parts of the city. Once they arrived at the address that Senin had found, the two left the cab. This time, Laeonas was responsible for paying for it. The two had agreed to share the responsibility of paying for transportation, with the G’weneen having been the one to do it yesterday.

Yeah, it reminds me of some of the slums where I used to live.” Senin said. He hated to visit places like this one. It brought back so many bad memories. “This person lives in this building, in apartment number 38.” he pointed to the one in front of them. Then, he walked inside it.

Looking around, Laeonas' initial assessment of the neighborhood didn't change as he gave his surroundings a closer look. The streets were covered in litter, every building looked like it needed a new waxing or paint job (30 years ago) and the people wore cheap, ratty garments. There wasn't a hint of judgement in his observation though; this was an environment he'd spent most of his life in. Still, there was a slight feeling of unease and paranoia, and it was only after a moment that the man recognized it as the feeling he'd felt just walking around his own neighborhood without a blade.

"Ai've been away fer to long." he thought as he walked through the door Senin had opened. Looking around the lobby, it wasn't long before he spotted an elevator, and his eyes widened as he walked over. "Well shite, it's actually in order." He declared, tapping the button. "I swear, there was only one buildin' Ai lived in th'at 'ad a workin' ella'vader when Ai was growin' up..." Laeonas began, trailing off as they heard the sound of metal scraping, clunky machinery, and many other sounds not traditionally associated with safe machinery.

"...Ai don't remember mine soundin' laike th'at." The man muttered, before looking around, spotting the entrance to the stairwell, and pulling Senin after as they began walking up the stairs. If Senin protested, Laeonas would have to question the man's intelligence and instinct for self preservation, since he'd obviously be lacking in one, or both. He'd only let go of his hand when they arrived on the third floor. From there, they'd walk through the halls of flickering lights and graffiti covered walls to reach apartment number 38.

Laeonas knocked once. Than, he knocked twice. There was a rustling inside, muffled cursing, and than the door swung open-- and Laeonas would have to look down to greet the Sullustan standing before them. "D- yes? What ju vant?" He spat, speaking in an accent that made Laeonas' sound perfectly intelligible. "I pay rent this month, pay zashchita to big boss. Ju vant spice? Go down floor." He went on, Laeonas' mouth agape as he tried to make out a single word the man said.

"Vell? Ju speak no?" Asked the man, with Laeonas merely blinking in response. "...um, uh..." The man stuttered. How did this guy even get around with an accent that thick? No way he could order takeout over the commlink if the person on the other end couldn't understand him. Ofcourse, that was completely unlike Laeonas; he never had to deal with people who couldn't understand his accent.

Nope.

"B... battery..." The human answered, reaching into his bag. The Sullustan arch a... flesh brow... as Laeonas handed it over. "...not buying. Cheap kak, to old." He snapped, turning around. Laeonas' eyes lit up at the accusation, and his momentary lapse in cognition came to a screeching halt. "Old? Tha kark kinda'v a racket are ya tryna run 'ere, ya daft ****?! Nabbed this straight off tha kriffin' assembyline's what Ai did!" He answered. The older Sullustan's eyes widened, realizing that this wouldn't be an easy scam.

"Ju calling Vlag liar? Vlag work speeder for twenty yil, work droid twenty yil, ju say he not know kak battery?!" He snapped back, dodging Laeonas' claims completely. "Ai don't give a flyin' fuck 'ow long ya'v been workin' on this shite! Gotta suck arse if yer livin' outta this dump!" The man snapped back, voice booming through the halls. The argument continued to derail as the two hurled expletive's of all kind at each other, the Sullustan retreating into his native language while Laeonas may as well have been speaking his own.

Well, I never used an elevator when I was a child.” Senin said, while Laeonas talked about a building that he used to live in. When he still lived with his parents, the Acolyte was too poor to afford even living in a place like this one. His home was basically a hovel made of wood. This was the reason why it burned so easily in the day that his parents died.

Then, Senin watched the older man reluctance when the elevator arrived. “It seems more like a death trap than an elevator.” he said to Laeonas, while the machinery made sounds that seemed to show that the thing was going to fall at any moment. Due to that, the Acolyte didn’t argue when the Brentaalan pulled him toward the stairs. He wanted to have a long life and dying in an elevator wasn’t part of it.

When they arrived at the third floor, the two would search for apartment number 38. Like the rest of the building, it was a gloomy place. The paint was falling from the walls and the light was constantly flickering. There was also some graffiti covering the walls. Among some bizarre figures, the Acolyte could also see some words that were improper for a PG-13.

Once they arrived at the apartment, Senin watched Laeonas knock on the door. After the second knock, it finally opened, revealing the Sullustan that they wanted to hire. What happened next was the most bizarre and hilarious thing that the G’weneen ever saw. The Sullustan talked with a heavy accent, not much different of the Brentaalan, who stared at the guy in obvious confusion.

Senin wanted to laugh at the scene, or at least record it. Then, the arguing started to become more aggressive and he could feel how Laeonas was starting to lose his patience. Perhaps it was time for him to say something or they were going to lose the only person that could help them.

Excuse me. We want to hire your services to open a battery. We can pay a good amount for it.” he said, interrupting the two. The Sullustan would notice his clothes and it would probably cause an impression. As Laeonas had said, he came dressed to impress.

"Ju zhopa! Ju think ju big man for talking to Vlag like street thug? Maybe vlag show ju vat 'appened to last cyka that toss srat!" The Sullistan exclaimed. "Ai've love ta see an old gobshite laike ya TRY, YA FUCKIN' XEN-" Laeonas was about to yell, right before Senin cut in. The two men had pressed their chests up against each other, and while the Sullistan was significantly shorter-- and less well built judging by his gut-- than Laeonas, he certainly wasn't acting like it. The two men were just a few insults away from tossing their first blow-- but Senin's cutting in managed to interrupt the two.

The older alien slowly turned his head towards the G'wenean, cocking one of his flesh brows. "...ju vant Vlag to... open battery?" He asked, blinking his large, beady black eyes. "...hmm." He noted, turning his frame away from the slowly calming Brentaalan, and looking over the G'wenean's expensive outfit. "Vlag do this... for two hundred credit." He answered. Aquamarines would widen at the obviously inflated price.

"We came t'ya cus we thought ya were cheap! Some spice junky down tha street could prolly open th'at fer five with a rusty 'ydrospanner!" He snapped. The Sullustan turned, a bit of indignation on his face. The previous shouting match still lingered in both of their minds, but now they were focused on something entirely different-- haggling. "Than ju go to him! Ju vant real mechanic, ju pay Vlag his price!" He snapped back.

"Yer price could feed every prick on this floor fer a karkin' week! Don't get greedy cause mae man's got nice threads!" Laeonas replied, not even catching the fact that he'd just referred to Senin as his man. The Sullustan didn't pick up on it either, instead replying, "Battery price not even cover shirt, but ju call Vlag greedy?! Vlag give discount just cause ju say this and he prove wrong; 180!" He declared, the new price set. "Ya call th'at a discount?! Ai could find a better deal if Ai took a ferry offworld and went ta Coruscant!" Laeonas replied.

The next five minutes were a continuous verbal exchange between the two men, with the price progressively getting lower. "95? Ju... ju know, 95 okay deal-- Vlag generous today." he declared, nodding his head a couple times. "It's a bit steep, but Ai think it'll be worth it." Laeonas declared, reaching over and giving the Sullustan's hand a shake. "Da, da... ju give battery now." Vlag replied, to which Laeonas promptly handed over the battery.

"Ju give Vlag an hour; he open battery, break down, look at, tell ju everything he need to know." He declared. "But he keep all, or ju pay full price!" He declared. Laeonas raised an eyebrow, but didn't protest. He'd find a way around it anyhow. "Aight."

Senin felt relieved for having stopped the arguing between the two. By the way that Laeonas was reacting to it, the G’weneen believed that punches were going to start flying soon. While he thought that the older man was hot when he got mad, giving all these vibes of a bad boy, the Acolyte wasn’t in the mood to participate in a fight. It would ruin his clothes.

The mention of a job made the Sullustan turn his attention to the G'weneen. Senin could tell that the guy was analyzing him, seeking to think of a possible price for this. The Acolyte was prepared to cover for anything, but when Vlag said that it would cost two hundred credits, the red-haired man stared at him with wide eyes. This was more expensive than what he had thought.

Before he could protest or accept, Laeonas started to talk with the Sullustan again. What followed now was a verbal duel of bargains. Senin stayed watching the entire scene in silence. At any price that Vlag offered, the Brentaalan had an answer that made him drop it. The Acolyte decided that he would bring his lover with him next time that he wanted to buy something. He would probably end with a good discount.

After some time, Laeonas and Vlag finally reached an agreement. He watched the Sullustan enter his apartment, leaving the two outside. “Okay, that was interesting.” he said, before turning to look at Brentaalan. “What do you think that we should do while he works with the battery? I don’t want to leave the building, the guy can try to flee with it.” he whispered to the older man. After all work that they had, losing this battery would be beyond annoying.

I brought my Datapad. We could make contact with the journalist and send the recording. It would be less of a thing for us to do later. When the battery is open, we send pictures of it too.” Senin said, while showing the device to Laeonas.

Laeonas' eyes lingered as Vlag reentered his apartment, the door shutting behind him. Quickly, the sounds of machinery began to whir out through the paper thin walls. Were it the evening, his neighbors might start tossing curses and slurs, but it being the mid afternoon everyone was either to stoned to bother, or busy at work or really anywhere else. As Senin brought up what they should do, Laeonas pondered their options, before he made a decision. "We stay 'ere and wait. Can't take 'im to long." He declared, crossing his arms.

Senin mentioned his datapad, and Laeonas nodded along about contacting the journalist. "Send 'im tha recordin'. If 'e start's askin' questions we can figure out when ta meet--" He started, before his lips pressed together. "...nah, we oughta stay anonymous. No tellin' what'll 'appen if this gets kept under wraps even if we reveal what's been 'appenin'." He declared. "We'll keep our identities 'idden. We'll go t'tha office, leave whatever's left of tha battery for 'im, 'e'll get a pro-fessorial analysis done, and than we'll be on our way." Laeonas explained, unaware that he'd just completely butchered the word professional.

"It'll all work out, and these pricks will roast." He finished, letting out a sigh as he leaned next to the man. He was silent for a moment, quietly reflecting on what it was that they were doing. They'd found-- seen a problem-- in the world around them, and they'd gone to the source to figure out why it was happening. They'd uncovered obvious wrongdoing, and now... now they were going to bring that wrongdoing to light. They were going to show this world-- the whole galaxy.

It felt... incredible. He was exercising power, making the world change around him. He'd spent so many years of his life in a stagnant, unchanging environment on Brentaal. No matter what he did-- go legit and work for wages, or go back to extortion and drug dealing-- his neighborhoods never got any better. The world never stopped being awful, the have nots never stopped being preyed upon by the haves.

Was this what it felt like? To have power, to have influence? He could only imagine what it felt like for those at the top; for those whose decisions had an impact on millions of lives every single day.

The man didn't linger on that line of thought any further, as he asked his "friend," "Whaddya think a'bout this?" Out of the blue. "Ai mean... Ai've never done this before. It's kinda... well, important, y'know? Feels laike we're doin' somethin'."

Pode deixar!” Senin said, after Laeonas agreed that he should send the recording to the journalist. While the Acolyte had wanted to suggest that they should make some blackmail, he decided to not voice this opinion. The Brentaalan was so furious with what the DrawSpeeds was doing that he only wanted to destroy their business. He would probably refuse this idea.

"Alright, I sent it. I used an anonymous account and the journalist that received it is pretty famous around here. She is always after the next carrier to ruin.” Senin explained, his eyes still looking at the screen of the Datapad that showed that his message had been sent. “I’ll send pictures of the battery after he finishes.” he pointed at the door.

Then, he saw Laeonas lean next to him. The Acolyte could say that the older man was relieved with what they did. “Probably, their company will be processed and even be forced to close.” he said, while moving his body until he was close to the other. He would start to play with the Brentaalan’s jacket, while looking at his aquamarine eyes. “I think that we deserve a celebration tonight, don‘t you think?

When Laeonas started to talk about how he felt about this entire situation, Senin frowned. The Acolyte also never did something like that before. He wondered if it was altruism. They were going to destroy a company so it would not hurt others again, while they would not receive anything for all this work. The red-haired man thought how ironic it was for a Sith like him to be helping people without some secret reasons.

I never did something like that either. It wasn’t bad.” he said sincerely. His mother always said that he should find ways to help others without wanting anything as a payment. It was difficult to do when you were a Sith, but perhaps by him doing it right now, he was giving her some peace. Wherever she was.

They would wait for an hour. Senin would have remained in silence, reflecting about his altruistic action. Then, the door of the apartment would open, revealing the Sullustan from early. The Acolyte would turn to look at him, eager to know more about what he did with the battery.

The man was pleased by Senin's reaction, and watched as the man sent the photos to the journalist in question. He felt a sense of triumphant satisfaction as the confirmation that she'd received them was displayed on the screen. The Brentaalan was pleased with himself, already imagining the Fallout of their actions. He'd be watching the holo diligently over the next few days, anticipating the headlines about the scandal, the corporate denials, the legal hearrings, all culminating in the company's complete and total collapse. He felt strong, powerful-- victorious.

"Ai'm lookin' forward to it." He whispered, unable to suppress the grin that was forming on his lips. "They'll get what they karkin' deserve. Every last rotten one of 'em." Laeonas declared. Perhaps this is what he ought to be doing with his life? Traveling the galaxy, finding corruption and deceit, exposing and destroying it wherever he found it. Sure, he could still get stronger in the force and fight the Sith personally, but how much more effective would it be to sabotage them? To expose their atrocities, to incite the people to action? If one man could make such a large difference, couldn't millions, all working as one?

He was pulled out of his fantasies of violent justice and retribution by a tug of his jacket. Turning again to the G'wenean, a chuckle escaped his lips at the innuendo. "Can't even go a day without ya tryna get in mae pants, can Ai?" He replied, muttering a quick "not th'at Ai mind." in a lower, more playful tone. "Ai say this calls fer another night on tha dancefloor, dontcha? Once we drop off th'at battery we can hit up another club or bar, than take things back t'tha ship later." He suggested, a plan for the evening laid out ahead of them.

"Though, really, we can do whatever tha kriff we want." He'd add, winking back at the other man before leaning against the wall again.

The hour went by, before, finally, the old Sullustan came out, battery parts all in separate bags of varying sizes. "Vlag finished. Battery was cheap shit, plastoid and cortosis and aluminum. Terrible vork, vlag could make better battery vit eyes closed." He declared, referring to the bags he was holding. "Vlag find rhydonium in battery! Nearly went apartment boom!" He declared in broken basic. "...'s'th'at what ya were cursin' a storm up about fifteen ago?" Asked the Brentaalan, prompting a nod from the older man. "Da, Da, vlag burn hand. Cost extra to go get bacta." He declared, eyeing up the Brentaalan and his credit purse. The human rolled his eyes, pulling out the payment that was promised, as well as a bit extra.

The human would stop short of paying the man though, asking a quick, "Can we take tha parts off yer 'ands afterall?" He'd ask. Vlag scowled a little, before saying, "Ve had deal; you let vlag keep battery, or ju pay full price." He repeated. Laeonas would shake his head, "We need these; gotta show 'em t'tha people. They're puttin' these in speeders." He declared. Vlag's bulbous eyes widened slilghtly, but his frown deepened. "Vy zat Vlag's problem? Not his speeder, not his problem." He went on.

Laeonas would groan, adding, "Ya've seen 'ow cheap these parts are! Whaddya think ya could even make with th'at garbage? A bit of cheap fuel that could burn yer buildin' down and some scrap metal? Gimme a break!" He snapped. "Ya really wanna 'old onta th'at? Ya really wanna let tha pricks th'at built this keep buildin' em? 'Ow long til ya 'op in a speeder with one'v these in it, and it winds up takin' ya ta meet Deus instead of yer friends fer pazaak?!" He asked, genuine anger in his voice-- but it wasn't directed at the older man. No, the angry rant was directed at those who'd put them in this situation to begin with.

Vlag stood silent for a moment, his expression a mix of indignation, fear, and anger. Where it was directed and for what reasons would belong to him, but regardless, he'd let out a sigh, and hand the bags over. "Fine, take. Vlag not want explode." He declared, before turning away. Laeonas let out a sigh of relief. The man would look down in his hand, before reaching into his purse, and pulling out a full 100 credit chip-- totally 240. Tapping Vlag's shoulder, he forced the credits into his hands. "Tha full price; plus some bacta ta treat yet other hand." He declared, glancing down at the man's limb. It was barely burned, but the Brentaalan didn't mind paying him a bit more-- if he was living in a place like this, he needed it.

The older Sullustan's eyes widened a little, the credits in the man's hands more than what he probably made in a month. Before he could say anything, Laeonas had turned away, tugging his "friend" to follow him out.

I can’t wait for that.” Senin said, winking at the older man. The two had already visited several nightclubs, but being a planet that was known for its parties, there was always a new one that they could visit. “I read about one that has a free drinks night every week, and it is going to be tonight!

When the Sullustan left the apartment and started to explain what he found, Senin could understand him a bit better than earlier. As they already knew, the batteries were made of a cheap material and were full of rhydonium. Now with this physical evidence, the two could add more fuel to the fire that would consume the DrawSpeeds.

However, before they could grab it and go celebrate, the Sullustan decided that he wanted to maintain the pieces of the battery. Senin rolled his eyes, already prepared to use the Force to influence him to give it to them. Usually, he would have offered more credits to convince him to give it to them, but he already spend so much these last days that he shouldn’t do it again or the Ravelo would be pissed with him.

Thankfully, Laeonas took control of the situation. After some arguing and a death threat, the Brentaalan finally was able to convince the Sullustan to give the entire battery back to them. The older man was even nice enough to give the guy some more money for all that. Senin smiled with it, perhaps he had a soft heart after all.

Without thinking twice, Senin followed Laeonas to the exit. Before they got out, the Acolyte would take some pictures of the battery and rhydonium. Then, he would send it to the journalist. “We can pick a cab and ask it to leave us at the police station or Fire department. We can leave the battery here with a letter about what it’s.” he said, before a smirk appeared on his lips. “After that we can have our celebration.

Free drinks? Laeonas genuinely couldn't tell if Senin was joking or not; it didn't sound like he was joking, but at the same time, it... sounded like the setup to something? Tales of free booze sounded like something out of a fae tale, where brave heroes and wanderers would wind up in the enclave of Eire Pophrogenytas and spend eternity drinking wine and spirits. He didn't voice any of this though, simply replying, "Thwn they'll be out've business once we're finished."

After leaving the building and letting Senin take the pictures, he gave him a confused look. Why give it to the police if they were sending photos to the journalist? Laeonas didn't know much about this world's law enforcement outside their bizarre uniforms and strict professionalism, but if the differences stopped there and they were anything like the police force of his homeworld, that battery would never see the light of day. "Tha photos'll be useless on their own. Broken down pieces of a battery and a vial of what looks laike rhydonium? Publishin' th'at'd be tha end of 'er career, not Drawspeeds." Laeonas replied. Even outside his trust for the police, he'd spent long enough idly watching the holo to know that the biggest stories didn't just come out of nowhere-- at least, if the stories in question were anything other than celebrity gossip or scandal bate.

"If she's able ta find a lab th'at can confirm she's got 'er 'ands on this, and can prove it came out'v their factory, than she'll 'ave 'em made." He declared, not going into detail about his personal mistrust of law enforcement. The fact that he'd almost completely ignored Senin's innuendo and put aside any thoughts of their plan would've given anyone an indication of just how invested the man was in seeing the company burn. He'd spent an entire week in constant contact with the G'wenean, and since their first spouts of dishonesty and distress, they'd gotten along swimmingly. But all of that-- every laugh over a drink, fun conversation, or night in bed-- it all came second to the man's desire to sink the company that had very, very loosely wronged him.

...and yet, just as quickly as he'd jumped on that, the moment he finished, Laeonas added, "Ai think Ai'll... definitely be needin' free drinks after all this." With a long, exasperated sigh. "Yer gone in... what, two days?" He'd ask, pursing his lips. "...Ai think we can celebrate till ya'v gotta 'ead out, dontcha?"

Senin stopped talking to hear Laeonas argue against his suggestion of giving the battery to the police. During these days that the two stayed together, the Acolyte noticed that the older man seemed to have a dislike for them. He wondered if it was because of his past.

The G’weneen also didn’t have much appreciation for police either, mostly due to the several times that they hurt him when he was a street urchin. However, his position as a Sith gave him more confidence that they couldn’t hurt him anymore. The Ravelo fortune also helped him escape them.

Fine. Rather than stopping at the police station, I think that we could leave it with the journalist.” Senin said, after Laeonas finished talking. He didn’t want to argue with the other man. “We can leave it inside the box that we used to bring it here with an anonymous letter explaining things. She will not see our faces.

A smirk appeared on Senin's lips when Laeonas mentioned that they could have a good celebration after leaving the battery. “I’ll love that, but I think that we should have a small break. I still need to teach you the Queda de Três.” he had started to teach kapu’era to the Brentaalan these last few days. While he was a fast learner, the older man still had problems with some moves.

After agreeing with this course of action, the G’weneen would call a cab for them. “I paid yesterday, now it's your time.” he leaned to give a peck to Laeonas’ lips. “We agreed about it.” he said, before entering the vehicle. The Acolyte would ask for the pilot to stop at the building where the journalist lived so they could leave the box here.

Either Senin had been convinced by his argument, or he simply didn't want argue. Either way, he wound up agreeing with the Brentaalan's assessment. "A'right." The man replied, his expression relaxing from the intensity that it had been when he'd first addressed the other man. He listened to the outline of the redhead's next plan with interest, nodding along. Nothing stood out to him as an issue; the box would be fine, a short explanation would clear up a lot of possible confusion, and anonymity was something that Laeonas wanted to maintain through it all. "Works fer me." The issue was settled; there was no need for another long winded explanation of Laeonas' feelings on the situation.

There were still plenty of words to be exchanged over what they'd do after this was taken care of though. Though, reflecting on everything, were they really needed? Looking back at their spouts regarding Laeonas' privacy, or his sentiments about people living on the rim, the more often they talked, it seemed there was a problem or issue that they were trying to resolve. Or, in the case of their earlier conversations where they'd slowly gotten to know one another. It was a bizarre dichotomy, but it wasn't one that he'd bring up.

Circling back to what they'd do once they were finished, Senin once again brought up their Kapu'era sessions. Laeonas had excitedly taken him up on his initial offer, and between their many bouts of fun, they'd been seriously training at the same time. "Just go easy on me; that flip and kick ya did a couple nights ago 'as still got me sore in tha ribs." He answered, using the comment to hide just how eager he was to keep learning. Out of all disciplines, Laeonas soaked up combat training like a sponge.

It wasn't long before their cab arrived, and as they'd agreed, it was Laeonas turn to pay the fair. He didn't protest; a deal was a deal, and he had no interest in changing it. Climbing inside, he'd sit beside the G'wenean, quietly regarding him and all that had happened. Their initial meeting, their flight to the hospital, their fight at the restaurant, their investigation. All of it had happened in less than two weeks, and yet to him, it felt like they'd been here for half a year. Where would he go after Zeltros? What would he do in the mornings when he didn't wake up beside him? Laeonas had never once asked these questions, but here he was, contemplating a return to the status quo like it was some radical change.

He thought all about that as they flew, taking them out of the slums and back into the glittering tourist trap of a city that was Zeltros' capital. It wasn't long before they arrived in a well off district of office buildings, and they'd stop in front. "Ya can stay 'ere." He declared, taking the box-- and the letter the other man had written up-- and stepping out. There was a drop off box for each individual office in the building, and Laeonas would, without much fanfair or any difficulty, toss the contents inside.

It was done. The work had been completed, their investigation conclude, and the package delivered. It felt at once simple and at the same time, massive. Walking back to the speeder, Laeonas stepped inside, and let out a long, drawn out sigh. Than, slowly, he turned to Senin, a smile playing across his lips. "Take us ta tha docks, we've got some moves ta practice." He said. He didn't know if he'd ever see the G'wenean again after a few days, but this would be a vacation he'd not soon forget.
