The Citadel

Central Solus Armory

It was not often that a Solus hail came through the aether but it most certainly did, and from a person that Arthos most likely did not expect, the aspiring Solus Wildcard, Van'Aria, her notorious reputation of saying things others will not and stalwart standing even against those that would deny her had left impressions even on those above her.

What she wanted today, he did not know but she hoped that the quarry of such a summons alone would pique his interest, she had seen him as someone that would rarely stop at an opportunity and whilst he had a pragmatic head on his shoulders she wanted to see how his Words would change once there was only two people in the room, she wanted to see what he would say what he would think and based on that... she would make her decision.

She chose the Central Armory of the Citadel for a very specific reason, it was mostly vacant and practically her home, it would also give bulletpoints to speak about if he so desired but more importantly it symbolized the reason of this meeting, whilst she fully supported her Alor she wouldst need to get active in her own regard to build something that he can use as a support beam.

Idly cleaning blasters arranged afore a table infront of her, tucked away in a far corner of the Armory she let her thoughts go the ways she wanted, she had multiple reasons for being down here, one was to acquired weaponry for her new Mentee and secondly to meet Arthos, the latter of which she knew would happen eventually or so she thought.

Her gaze was fixated on greasing and cleaning, her body moving like a machine that had done the drill over and over again, it was a sudo-trance that she entered when she did this it gave her clarity, clairvoyance almost, her thoughts drifted to the many things she has yet to do to raise the Mandalorian people higher and higher, she shook her helmeted head briefly, she was not working efficiently enough there was always more she could do she told herself but ultimately she was being harder on herself than she should.

It was drawing into late evening and Tark, her pet Badger that followed her almost everywhere if she could be found in the Citadel made himself comfortable next to the Table she worked at, for a moment it felt like silence and serenity filled the Armory... until Van'Aria picked up the next Weapon to clean and dissassemble.

Back from the front.

Called back from the fleet, from the warriors of his Clan, by a message routed through said Clan. After being acknowledged as someone integral to the Vizsla contribution to the crusade, he set his warriors in order and took his ship back to the home sector as requested. Not back home, not back to Clan Vizsla but to The Citadel of Clan Solus instead.

The Clan leadership of Clan Vizsla had told him he had been requested by name and ordered him to attend - he had said nothing.

There would be a time to address that but insulting Clan Solus by ignoring an invitation to The Citadel was not something he wanted to do just to send a message to his own Clan. Marching through the halls of the home of Clan Solus with a member as both guard and guide, Arthos couldn't help but think how much his life had changed. To going from being the shame of his own Clan, to being looked down on as a foundling unworthy of their name, to this. To being escorted through the halls of one of the most prestigious Clans in Mandalorian history as a respected warrior.

Arriving at the armoury, the guide left and Arthos stepped into the room quietly. Casting his gaze over the weapons, the badger and the sole Solus within the room.

"Van'Aria Solus."
he called out to her as he stood in the doorway, "I haven't seen you since Ciutric. Meg evaar'la teh akaan, verd?"

An old phrase - what's new from the war, warrior - an acknowledgement of her place within the crusade and asking after her personal exploits within it.

A Woman of purpose and conviction, Arthos likely doesn't remember many alike her, many of the Mandalorians that dot around nowadays have been brash and direct, flamboyant almost, she... she was methodical, calculated and sharp with the words she chose, even if the Meeting spelled no ill intent it always felt as if whilst speaking to her one felt to be evaluated, watched, almost as if every small detail could change the coming climate.

She let silence dominate the Room for an exact minute, not to ignore him nor to claim Authority, it was so that she knew if there were prying ears, only after that full minute did her head slowly cant into Arthos's direction, it could be mistaken to not address him but he could deduce as much.

"Arthos. Of Clan Vizsla. Curious is it not? Where paths diverge."

She then turned to fully address him her body rigid as a steel plate slowly turning to motion, holding a long blaster rifle in her hand that she methodically placed back into its resting place among the other weapons of the Armory, she gave the scope of it a final touch before fully diverting her attention to Arthos.

She strode forth in a mediate saunter until she came just about into arms reach of him, she then gestured around as if to ask him if this should suffice as a meeting place, not that he had chosen or suggested it she nevertheless offered it.

"What news you ask? Much. I believe I speak loudly enough when I say that a Mandalore divided is a Mandalore mourning. But not only I have been busy it seems. My eyes have caught with what you have been honored, well deserved."

She sighed briefly shaking her head, it still weighed on her mind, the audacity to bow to what had sought to destroy them, deep beneath her helmet she closed her eyes to compose herself but the disdain she felt only she herself could explain and feel.

"But I believe you have a more pressing question as to why you are honored with this Summons no?"

She posed the question as if she wanted to affirm her own assumption, it was a meticulous process one that was meant to test his responses, his casualness, she wanted to know if he let his guard down, it was evidently seeking a weakness inside of him, but not to take advantage of him rather to make him aware of it, for him to learn than to be punished for it, he had potential and she would not squander it.

The potential to be... so much more.

Cryptic was not a natural state for Arthos. Some Mandalorians enjoyed being enigmatic but he had never been one of them. Stealthy? Sure, when he needed to be. But if given the choice he would much rather but as upfront about something as a brick to the face. His poker face was the stuff of infamy among the Crusaders at this point for being so bad that it was a Tell even when he wore his helmet.

"Sure."
he allowed without real commitment, "Curious."

As she approached the taller Mandalorian stared down at Van'Aria and eyed his critically underneath his helmet. The urge to cross his arms across his chest was present but he ignored it - instead he forced himself to stand with his hands by his sides. At Ease... and also not at ease at all. His hands closer than ever to weapons but also ready to be used without them as well.

Did he think this was just a prelude to a fight? Probably not but he'd been in weirder fights. The mention of his recent advancement within his Clan and within the Crusading forces was brought up and he nodded once.

"Agreed - but Mandalore is no longer divided. It took a darjetii shabuir to make it happen but it happened. No more Moots. No more division and weakness."
he argued, tilting his head to one side slightly, "Thank you. It rankles to be away from the front even now that I am expected to be more than a warrior alone."

He was expected to be more than the warrior that he had been before.

"Honour remains to be seen, I still do not know the meaning of the summons. I would ask you to correct that."

"Ah, there is the apprehension I sensed when you first spoke of Lothal. You hide your emotions well but your Words and your ambitions betray your feeling of duty. If your immediete question is if you should fear me? No. I have naught the intention to harm a Mandalorian. Can you trust me? I am likely the closest you will be able to trust for I am bound by Duty."

It was the subtlest of choices of words that gave away what she wanted to hear from him... the "Sith Asshole" it reaffirmed her that or rather reaffirmed her assumption that he too did not share the vision of a prolonged alliance with the Sith and it made her nod to herself briefly, frankly enough however even with his height she was not intimidated nor did she pay much mind, what he had in height she had in bulk but she was never about making a contest of it unless it was necessary.

"You think being away from the front is neglecting your duties? Being a Rally Master is more than fighting with your men, It is also about insight, forging a path ahead through the many means ahead of you, it will be a burden and blessing but I trust you are up to the challenge."

She philosophized as she turned away from him and began to walk down the length of the Armory gesturing him along if he so desired, it was in motion that her mind was more focused, more clear and direct however she wanted to see how much she could gleam of him by probing him with specific bits of conversation all of which seemed like needle pricks answers that he would give gave away the way he thought.

"My purpose in this grand reformation is to restore tradition to the ways of old, I can feel a shift in Leadership coming and Leadership will require its council, that is why I summoned you here."

She walked just a bit further before turning back around to face him staring him down before lifting either hand to the sides of her Helmet, you could hear the click of it undoing its locking mechanisms and sure enough followed by a followed through gesture she removed her Helmet.

sOlt9n7.png
"I am summoning you because you are young, yet you are capable of making decisions and learn from them. I am reforming an Order of old Mandalorian Tradition and I would have you among its new pillars."

She gazed upon him, her piercing sharp purple eyes gazing into him like freshly sharpened spears, her spiked boblike hair accentuated her already hardened face with its contours that were both soft and rigid in its own regards, a long scar drew itself along her neck that betrayed a lethal injury from which she had recovered however most importantly... she had removed her Helmet afore him, a gesture she did not oft.

"There will come the time when the Mandalorians will once again rise to their former strength and when they have we will cast aside the chains of oppression. It is our purpose, our duty to forge that path for the future generation is it not? But I understand, you have doubts in your mind, thoughts that cloud you, perhaps even fear. I ask you to be open and speak rather than remain in silence, I may seem like a ghost to you yet this "ghost" has wisdom that can shape you."

Arthos' entire posture became more rigid in an instant when she mentioned Lothal and his words about it. There was little doubt in his mind that he had Thoughts about Lothal that were probably not shared by the majority of the Mandalorian people. Worse, his thoughts on the matter stood directly opposed to some people who were above him in the pecking order by orders of magnitude that were barely worth thinking about.

Duty.

Trust.

Was he up for the challenge of being a Rally Master?

"That's not what I said. That is, in fact, the opposite of what I said."
he replied with a raised eyebrow, "I am aware that I must leave them to their own devices and be the pathfinder, not a follower. But still it takes some getting used to is what I mean... I dislike the feeling but... its a new feeling. I'll get used to it or I will die."

Overcome or die.

The only words of advice his adopted mother had ever given him as a member of Clan Vizsla. When she sent him out to hunt for food after being starved for three days and given only a dull knife as a tool?

Overcome or die.

When he was sent out into the Galaxy to become a bounty hunter with only a pauldron, a helmet and a thoroughly used-up blast vest?

Overcome or die.

She spoke of a shift in leadership and his eyes narrowed underneath his helmet. All of a sudden he was looking around the room as if waiting to spot the trap that had been set out for him. Because that was what this was; a trap. The entire subject was a trap and he hated that he had walked himself right on into it.

"A shift against the Mand'alor, you mean."

As she took off her helmet he took in the sight of her before doing the same. It wasn't a requirement or even fully custom to remove one's helmet because someone else did first. But he had always been taught that it was a sign of respect.

vis2.jpeg

Once he did, she would be able to see his frown, see how his brow furrowed and his eyes flashed in the light between darker green or the lighter mixture of green and blue. He set his helmet down atop one of the tables of weapons as he followed her into the room, glad that the door shut behind them.

"Enough."
he was frustrated and a little bit confused, his face painting the picture, his voice coming out as an urgent hiss, "Did you bring me here to... what? Dance around a topic from history while giving vague hints that you stand opposed to the current Mand'alor?!"

He ran a hand through his hair, a nervous tick he had when he didn't have his helmet firmly in place. This was exactly the kind of intrigue that he didn't understand, had never understood. The politics of the clans had been largely removed from his education - or lack thereof. This was all getting a bit too cloak and vibroknife for him.

He needed it straight and clean.

"Fuck... fuck!"
he growled, shaking his head, "No more bantha shit about 'ghosts' and 'wisdom'. Lay your cards on the table and pray to the Gods you've got an Idiot's Array ready... Why have you called me here, Van'Aria Solus? Why do you speak subtle treasons and cryptic lines about history?"

There it was. The heat rising, she felt it clear as day, ofcourse he would grow aggrivated, he was confused, not sure what to think and that is why he cant resort to rash decisions, he might have the urge to push her to speak plainly but ultimately he was at her mercy regarding this topic and not because she had his respect but rather... because what she said was right and he should know it more than any.

"Mand'alor? No. I could care less. My purpose lies with protecting my people, with the Mandalorian People! Not the ideals of a Leader who abandoned us! You expect me to go out killing my own people just because I disagree with the views of a Man that barely stands for us?! No. I will not have it and I shall not stand for it!"

In response her voice rose to heights not known of her, it thundered with anger through the Armory just as in tandem her fist crushed into a nearby table leaving a sizeable dent where she struck, she was furious, the topic of the Mand'alor riled her like nothing else could, she thought him a coward, a failure, a false claim to a Title he does not deserve.

Why should she be sworn to anyone that does not stand for their people? Where was this... vaunted Mand'alor that Arthos protected, it made her grow impatient, aggrivated, he had no right to say that this person was doing everything right when he himself should know the abandonment of their Leader.

Silence dominated for a very long time until she gathered her thoughts, she stood there motionless for almost a full minute before her gaze came up to meet his again. What had previously contorted into Anger was now back to composed calm.

"...I summoned you here because I do not want you to die a fools death. You deserve to know more rather than march endlessly believing to follow a purpose only to feel betrayed. I will not see my people end that way. I refuse."

Her somber tone turned melancholic, she disliked the thought of him disregarding her words and simply burying his own inside he deserved to know, to be educated, to make his own decisions... to stand for something he believed in.

"But I understand. Perhaps it is I who is running a fools errand in believing that restoring all back to what it once was is doable."

Her gaze lowered as it darted around briefly, her facial expression spoke miles ahead of her, she was questioning her own conviction, her own ideals.

"I saw in you confliction, as if you were unsure which path to travel, what road to take, I wanted to ease that burden. Show you what you can become. But no, I shall not hold you here if your convictions lie elsewere."

Treason.

She spoke treason against the Mand'alor and what was worse was that she would get away with it because she wasn't the only one. People all throughout the crusading forces spoke about him, they spoke about Song Wren, Van'Aria and Nox Solus. They spoke about them as leaders of the crusade and warriors they would gladly follow into battle. At Lothal those same warriors had praised only the leadership of Mand'alor.

It was treason but it was not without cause.

Mand'alor had been absent as of late.

More diehard supporters declared that he was supporting the war effort strategically rather than on the front lines. They begged and pleaded that surely it was safer for the Mand'alor to be as far away from enemy action as possible considering it had been the dissolution of the institution that had weakened Mandalore as a whole for generations.

"You speak out against the one who united us."

He clicked his tongue before making a correction;

"... no, you don't speak out against Darth Raze at all. You speak out against the man who took up the mantle without really understanding what it means."

A clear distinction even in his words there.

He had fought alongside the Mand'alor.

Hunted prey and enemy alike by his side both before and after he took the title.

"I have had my doubts, like you. Even as far back as Lothal I had my doubts - what warriors we were to murder a defenceless mother! How great and glorious we were in that moment..."

He trailed off his own comments regarding his doubts and despair over the current Mand'alor and his lack of truly great actions during the crusade. But part of this whole interaction irked him.

It was the way she was treating him as if he was some kind of child. As if he needed a mother to hold his hand and take him down a mythical path that would make him happy and strong and all the other bantha shite that mothers told their children at night in happy little families.

"Who are you to lead me to a new path? Mand'alor? The Mand'alor who will lead me down this path so vague as that you can only describe it as 'restoring all back to what it once was'?"
he asked, eyebrow raised, "You speak of restoring lost glories but you don't specify which ones. Will we exterminate species again like we did under the Ultimate? Or will you push for the new codex of honour as Jaster Mereel did? Both were once what was - would you somehow have us be both? Butchers and Commandos at once? Who do you fancy yourself as being-come-again? Cassus Fett? Or Jaster Mereel. You can't be both, can't sit on some fence and go either way. Stop standing there acting like you understand what wisdom is because you can be angry and vague - you're acting more a teenager than I am. Right now?"

He huffed out a breath through his nose.

"Right now I think you might have the beginnings of something. An idea or ideal. But you're so karking obsessed with seeming like you're righteous and wise that you might as well wear the robes and lightsaber of a Jetii."

"Why revert to old paths that led us nowhere?"

She asked in solemn silence. He had made points that were clear and with good merit, this was good, it meant that he shared a vision of clarity or rather one of understanding, it meant he belonged where he was, the doubts that he might have about his position might be unfounded, perhaps he would realize that soon enough.

"No, No. My Convictions lie with the problem that more and more Mandalorians forget what we stand for, what we are, as you said during the battle of Lothal it was more slaughter than battle, that is not what we stand for, we never have. During the time of our Ultimate it was driven by divine conviction and purpose, im sure you know this if you are so bold to bring that up no?"

She fired back with that response, as much as she respected his ability to recount history it was blatantly without respect to bring it up in the context and that irked her however she was one that could see past it with time, not every Mandalorian could do such a thing many wouldve been stuck on such a topic for an eternity.

"The Sith? Do not get me started. I am beyond furious that our people would bow to them, if only you would look to the past you would see where that gets us, I dont believe in the words of some... vaunted Darth that plays good at Soldier, he is no Mandalorian. However it is tactically the soundest option as of now, exploit their alliance until we can stand on firm feet. Or would you rather ask for help from the Republic? Or our sworn Enemy? No."

She crossed her arms as she looked upon him, studying his words took time and replying in kind almost the same, overall this conversation yielded what she wanted thus far even if it may seem to him differently, she had acted the way she wanted to see how he would respond to it, to bring forth his opinion not only on the topic but also herself and that was a goldmine of insight.

"I wish to reform the Protectors."

She gave back boldly, it could mean anything but she trusted that someone like Arthos was smart enough to know a nugget or two about such a statement.

"I know that a new Mand'alor will rise eventually. However our People should be just as important as him, you may speak as though you think me Jetii but I reassure you I am far from it. A conglomeration of the Clans Elites to stand as did the old Supercommandos once. To bring structure, integrity, so that those without a path can orientate themselves not only upon the Mand'alor but the path we blaze for them. Perhaps then too can we reunite those that lost faith in our Crusade."

The vision in her head became clear as day, it was what she had to do, what she wished to do. There was so much to forge forth that she simply could not stand idle.

"You have proven that you have enough foresight to forge a path ahead, or did you think I summoned you here without reason? If I truely thought you without wit or merit would you truely think I would lay this afore you? Look around yourself and answer me this simple question. What would you change?"

She raised a single eyebrow, perhaps this would make him understand as to why she acted the way she did, the way she spoke to him, it was the way she evaluated him and now that she had she could speak with him proper.

Why revert to old paths? Because of the comments about returning to an older way of being, of course. Arthos let the comment go however, at the point now where he had decided that Van'Aria was just prone to speaking like this. It made him feel like she might have been some kind of university lecturer in a past life. Though she raised some good points, she seemed to have a very different understanding of their history than he did.

"Divine conviction... is that what we call boiling a population alive in their seas because they handed us a beating in a war we lost previously?"
he asked, raising an eyebrow, "90% of the Cathar population boiled alive - alongside the one Mandalorian who spoke up about it being dishonourable to do after they had been so thoroughly beaten beforehand."

The time of Mand'alor the Ultimate was a mess.

The last Great Crusade and it had been a mess that resulted in them losing, once again, to armies led by Jedi because they managed to anger them back when they actually held power. Jedi of old were strong, warrior generals worthy of respect... the Jedi of today were cowering fools not worth their salt or the power in their crystals.

But the Ultimate had also been the one to open up their ranks, to expand what it meant to be a Mandalorian in a way that few others ever had. Arthos himself would never have gotten the chance to become a Mandalorian without his reforms paving the way.

"Darth Raze is no Mandalorian but you cannot deny that we Mandalorians were hardly doing well before him. He put an end to the endless Moots that we called for - his demands were disgusting but they forced us to choose our destiny."
he pointed out with a scowl, "I dislike it myself. Are we free to grow or are we to be a border state for their Empire?"

Finally!

A straight answer and one that Arthos had some more time for it had to be said. Leaning back against the wall as she admitted what she wanted to do, he hummed a little bit as he eyed her. She had had his curiosity before and she had been straining it but with that one line?

"You have my attention."

He rubbed at the stubble on his chin as he mulled over what she had said.

"What I would change is Clan Vizsla."
he admitted at length with a small sigh, "My Clan is... old and stubborn. Some of us embrace the new ways while many more sit in our compound moaning about the old days and old ways. I think the Protectors have a place as a force beyond the Clans."

Arthos hummed.

"Which is why I can't have any part of it."
he declared, "Your Protectors would be separate from the Clans, held apart because they NEED to be. Otherwise its an excuse for one Clan or another to take it over by sheer weight of volunteers until its just a sub-section of the Clan. And my future lies within my Clan. My future lies in becoming Vizsla Alor."

He was more upfront about his own desires; he wanted to become the leader of his Clan. Arthos needed to be dedicated to his Clan and Crusade above all else to achieve that goal. If he was to become a Protector he would be voluntarily lowering himself to obeying commands from the head protector... which he absolutely could not do if he was to try and become Vizsla Alor.

"Yes indeed, It was indeed divine Conviction. Not many a Mandalorian knows of our once reverent ways to Kad, only dregs of the old teachings remain nowadays, why do you think our greatest battles are called Crusades afterall? This divine conviction compelled our people to fight whoever they come across until we were beaten, mayhaps one day when the days are not as busy and you are not as occupied I shall teach you of the History, if your interest lies there."

She confimed most of his words though there were very apparant holes in his knowledge which she didn't blame him for, it was nothing disrespectful he said so far otherwise she wouldve reprimanded him but unlike other Mandalorians he managed to teeter around the border of "blaspheming" and speaking ones own mind.

"Fett, Cassus that is, had a different vision of the divine "test of combat", it was never the Mandalorian way to push a Civilization to the brink, you are right to critique it for it was Cassus alone that led this endeavor, a error we since corrected for now there is a Council."

She nodded sagely to herself as she replied, there was much to be said on the matter but breaking it down in understandable bits without a lengthy lecture was hard enough as it was, but she was confident he would gain the nuggets he needed from this if he thought about it long enough, if not he could always ask her in return.

"I do not deny that the Sith's words and actions brought many things to us, yet I caution that we should not grow complacant that he wont turn on his word and return as the Empire did over and over, I shall not remind you of the "Night of a Thousand Tears" shall I? But I am not here to lecture you."

She then crossed her arms as he spoke of his Ambitions, rubbing her chin idly she pondered if he knew of the ambitions she once had or if he eve considered the thought but shook her head briefly to dismiss such a thought, he struck a point even if it pained her, he had every right to persue that lane but more importantly he should, she gave him her full support in the regard.

"Do you understand now why I sit on such a fringe between both sides? It is because I must, choosing a side would betray the purpose of becoming a Protector. One must remain true to the path once chosen. I do not wish to convince you to reconsider for you shouldn't. Your choice should be your own you deserve such a right."

She gave him a solemn nod, stern yet understanding, she was the last to lay bricks into his way.

"However it would be upon some of my most necessary actions to aid you in your endeavors for the balance you seek is one the Protectors should enforce, and if I can help restore the Balance you wish for then it is doing my job no? I fear however that the Solus'Alor has other plans for me."

Even now, after the tremendous time she spent in her life pondering her future, her purpose, she felt that conviction brighten up within her, as if commanded not by herself but higher above, sometimes she thought it was as if though the Mand'alors of the past gaze down and judge her every move which made her decisions that much harder to make.

"Sometimes I gaze deep up into the Sky, when I fear that I must make a decision. Up to the endless battlefield where all Mandalorians one day go, to March... to Protect. And I can feel them, a multitude of eyes peering down. And whenever they do, I ask myself if I have done enough for my people. Have I? No. I have not. I must do more."

She found herself rambling for a moment as if she had not regarded Arthos, she furrowed her brow briefly before looking back to him with a clearer glint in her eyes.

"I will not rest until I am gone. Believe that."

Divine excuses for Cassus Fett to be a disgusting human being. Divine excuses for others within the Mandalorian people to drag them back down to the standard of murderers and thugs. They might have spent their time as bounty hunters and assassins but that didn't mean they had to look for convenient excuses to act like they were the bastard offspring of a Hutt.

"Cassus Fett was a piece of shit."

That was all Arthos had to say on the matter and he thought it covered the breadth of his feelings quite directly all things considered. The subject of the Sith was one that brought Arthos almost as much annoyance as reverence for some of the worst Mandalorians in history. But far more... present. The Sith were back and they were the ones in charge and it rankled at Arthos even from the start.

Even a couple years after the Mand'alor had sworn to serve alongside the Sith, it rankled. The shackles that they had 'willing' placed on themselves were still just that; shackles. They had trapped themselves, tethered themselves, to their ancient enemies without much in the way of resistance. And yet...? Yet it remained the best choice at the time. Running away to resist was less than effective.

He stared at her as she seemed to ramble more than a little bit about her motivations. In the end he reached out and picked up his helmet from where he had set it down atop one of the tables.

"I'll help you set up your version of the Protectors by running missions with you and vocally I will support you but my priorities come first."

Locking his helmet back in place, he eyed Van'Aria Solus quietly for a moment.

"Van'Aria Solus of the Mandalorian Protectors; protect the people. But if you move against my Clan in the name of your vaunted Peace, Protection or Balance? I will oppose you."

He nodded to her once...

"And I will kill you."

Before turning on his heel and striding away.

Her arms crossed she looked at him as he spoke his own words each portraying its own version... its own... deeper connection to the tasks at hand, however a vital incredibly vital detail that shifted her entire outlook on him drastically, that final threat was one she would remember eternally.

Van'Aria was a Mandalorian that would never raise a hand against another of her own unless she was forced to and his willingness to do that painted a very grim shadow, if his vindictiveness would carry him down that road eventually she hoped that he could back up the words for she will not tolerate such pettiness, weakness in her eyes inability to see beyond a clan.

"Protect the defenseless. Explore the boundless. Inspire the Hopeless. Conquer."

She returned as if she recited tenets she forged for herself, her steely eyes peered almost through him, it was a preternaturally calm yet predatorial gaze, even without bad blood between them the tension could be felt, both of them stood for their own ideals ready to kill for them at a moments notice and that was something that could not be taught.

It was Willpower personified, she knew that if it would come to the opposition as Arthos warned her, the Fight would never end for neither of them would be willing to concede or compromise.

"I will be awaiting our next formal meeting."

It was then that he turned and as he walked back the same way he came in through, someone was waiting for him there.

A Vod, and not just any Vod. It was one of Van'Arias. In his hands he held a chromed Westar-35 Blaster Pistol extending it to the young Vizla, this was not a gift from the Vod, no. It was coming from someone else, who however was not that hard to deduce. The Weapon itself shared only different appearances in that it was incredibly well kept and shone even in the dim light of the Armory, it would accentuate him perfectly, a grim silverbright.

"Consider it a parting gift. For now."

Her Voice called after him, it was then that his way was no longer obstructed and without further hiccups or addressals the young Vizla was free to take his leave.
