Thyferra
Even as some time had passed, Jaikus hadn’t been able to properly sleep since the Sith loss on Dantooine. For hours without end, his mind continued to linger on his own failures on that planet, and more importantly his subsequent with Raze on Korriban. He hadn’t spoken to Emryc since, and it left him with a sickening sense of dread in the pit of his stomach.

He had lost his arm during the ordeal, and it had ultimately been Raze who approved of the punishment and observed as it happened. And even then, he considered himself lucky that was the extent of his punishment. It was a fact that hung heavy on Jaikus’ mind, and he knew it wasn’t something that would have left Emryc either. It was a position that they had discussed on the past. It was a position that Jaikus had prayed neither of them would ever be in, and yet his worst fears has ultimately come to manifest in reality. It was a harsh reminder of the price of both men being Sith and Raze as Dark Lord.

In the immediate aftermath of Dantooine, Jaikus started out on nothing short of a crusade to correct his own errors and to gain additional territory for the Empire, as he had sworn to do. Gains had been made on Glee Anselm and Kril’Dor, and his efforts had resulted in Dantooine once more falling into Imperial control.

Only now did Jaikus finally decide to track down Emryc and address things between them. He knew his fiancée well enough to know that the half-Sephi would withdrawal into himself in the wake of everything that happened, but the Axxilan was committed to face this head on rather than letting things fester. Emryc was his fiancée and the man that Jaikus valued above all other things in the Galaxy, and he wouldn’t shy away from this. No matter what came.

The Axxilan ran a hand through his dark hair, fixing the strands back into place as he stepped into the office building, He had arrived on Thyferra dressed in his usual style - sporting a pair of black dress pants, a matching suit-vest and a tight-fitting white button-up underneath. As per usual, his outfit was accessorized with a chrono and his gold bracelet, while his hair was neatly combed and styled without a hair out of place.

Jaikus presented his ID and passed through the front-desk security of the building - making his way towards the elevators that ascended to the top floor. As a result, Emryc would no doubt receive notification of the Axxilan’s arrival the moment he walked through the door. It didn’t take him long to reach the entrance to the office where Emryc was located - coming to a halt just in front of it.

There was a few brief moments of pause before Jaikus exhaled a breath and lifted a hand to the door - tugging against the hem of his dress vest and fiddling with the bracelet on his wrist. He finally drummed his knuckles against the hard surface, waiting patiently for the response.

Thyferra was one of the most beautiful offices Emryc had. It was massive and it had a balcony that overlooked waterfalls and forests behind his desk. He often stood at this balcony, gazing out over the horizon while pondering his next move. While he had thrown himself into work lately, he knew it was only a matter of time before Jaikus confronted him. Mercifully he had chosen a day when Emryc wasn’t due to meet any galactic officials - though he may have done that homework ahead of time.

The half Sephi didn’t answer the door, one of the droids answering instead. The droid stepped aside to let Jaikus in. He would spot Emryc standing on the edge of the balcony, adorned in a classic suit. He was facing away and taking a drag from a cigarra, something he only did when either stressed or exceedingly pleased. It didn’t take a genius to figure out which one he was now.

He blew out a cloud of smoke before he turned towards his fiance, the sun bathing him and adding a glint to his hauntingly silver gaze. Emryc had a slightly more grizzled look about him, a bit more stubble lining his jaw. The ISC President said nothing for a moment before he took another drag of his cigarra.

“My office, of all places?” He finally remarked after a while. He didn’t move from where he was, his face stone and as expressionless as ever.

Even if only seconds had passed since Jaikus drummed his knuckles against the door, time seemed to pass at an almost glacial pace in the Axxilan’s mind. As much as he wanted to believe otherwise, Jaikus didn’t know for certain what was waiting for him beyond that door - or where he would be by the time he left through it next. And yet he never faltered or took a single step backwards. Not away from this.

He was immediately drawn back to reality as the door clicked, opening to reveal a droid waiting to greet him. Jaikus didn’t regard the mechanical assistant for more than a split second before his eyes flicked inward - fixating onto his fiancée standing on the balcony. It was a sight that immediately filled him with a sense of comfort and familiarity.. And yet, backed turned and distant, Jaikus couldn’t help but feel the sting of the distance between them - needles pricking deep in his chest and dredging up the same regrets that had festered since Korriban.

“Emryc..” He said loud enough to be heard, taking a step into the room. The Axxilan strode forward until he came to stop just a few paces away from the balcony and into a stray beam from the afternoon sun. The tint of citrine had long-since faded from Jaikus’ eyes - replaced by the familiar green that Emryc and Emryc alone had come to recognize.

His iris’ glinted like faceted emeralds against the warm sunlight, and his gaze never spoke away from the half-Sephi as he turned, drew from his cigarra and finally spoke. For all the ways that Emryc was expressionless, Jaikus’ very nature meant that every feeling and emotion played out clearly on his bronze features.

“I came here to see you, Emryc.” He said after a momentary pause, his gaze remaining firmly locked onto those haunting silvers. “You are what matters to me - not where we are.”

“After everything, I..”
He began, the words almost seeming to catch in his throat before he continued. “I couldn’t bare to leave things as they were.”

They had been here before, and he wondered how many times they would arrive here again. Emryc had withdrawn away for a period of time to find tranquility. Raze often quarreled with him, but this time the monster had remained silent. The two sides of him were in agreement with the punishments that followed, and that fact alone left Emryc reeling. He said nothing for a moment, staring at the man before him. He could practically feel the almost tangible emotions that exuded from Jaikus, the Axxilan always incredibly expressive.

“Well you’ve found me,”
Emryc stated rather curtly as he took the last draw of his cigarra before walking over to put it out in a tray on his desk. He was aloof and withdrawn as ever, and it was difficult to tell what was going on inside his mind.

“Get to the point,” The half Sephi said as he turned to look at Jaikus again. He despised dramatic build ups and he knew the Axxilan came with words. Emryc wasn’t the best at broaching these topics and Jaikus knew that. He would remain silent until he found a reason to interject.

Jaikus didn’t take his eyes off Emryc the entire time, and the Axxilan couldn’t help the way his lips tugged ever-so-slightly downward - the pain and regret that they found themselves here to begin with clear as day on his features. But no matter how deeply he might’ve wished for it, Jaikus knew that there was no changing the past or erasing the damage that had been done. All he could do was move forward, and attempt to fix what had been broken.

He knew that his fiancée wasn’t the best at approaching these topics, and despite all the love between them, even Jaikus couldn’t tell that was going through the half-Sephi’s head at that precise moment. And yet in that precise moment, Jaikus didn’t attempt to gauge what his fiancée was thinking. He knew what he had come to say, and the Axxilan allowed the words to pour from his lips almost beyond his conscious control.

“Emryc.. I can’t begin tell you how sorry I am. For everything that happened.” He began, the pain in his voice audible as he spoke. “I failed on Dantooine, and I cost you dearly after everything you endured on that planet.” He has been there in the immediate aftermath of what happened during the first invasion of Dantooine, and he knew intimately how close to death Emryc had come for that planet. “I knew the price of my failure.. And I promised you on Dathomir that I would never put you in that position.” He exhaled. “And I failed to keep that promise. And I will never regret anything more.”

He paused for a moment, allowing his words to hang in the air for a long moment before he continued. “I have done everything I can to fix my mistakes in the Empire, on Dantooine and elsewhere.” He took a single step forward - further into the sunlight and towards his fiancée, emerald lingering on those haunting silvers and any reaction he might’ve had, “But you are what truly matters to me, Emryc - above everything else in this Galaxy. Before any other allegiance or duty.”

“I came here.. Because I couldn’t stand to let things linger as they were. I came here because I love you, and I want to make things right between us again.” He wanted to believe he could, and that was something his fiancée still wanted after everything that had happened. “I will never allow us to be in that position again.” He stated, that same sense of stubborn determination and unyielding nature bleeding into his tone. “I will not force you to punish my mistakes and failures.”

“And so long as we both serve within the Empire, that will always be a risk. And it isn’t one that I am willing to take.” He took a single step forward once more, “Which is why.. I will retire from active duty, and step away from the Sith.” It was the conclusion that Jaikus had reached in his mind long before he arrived, and there was no sense of hesitation in his words as they were spoken. For all the ways that Jaikus was motivated and driven by his heart, it was a conclusion that was equal parts logical. They had been here multiple times before, and Jaikus knew that stepping away from the Empire was the most concrete way to ensure they would never be there again.

It didn’t matter how many years he had poured into the Sith Order, of how much of his own childhood and upbringing had revolved around a sense of loyalty to the Eternal before it. Because the only thing that truly mattered was right before him.

“You are my fiancée, Emryc. You are the sun in my life.” He finally stepped to stand directly in front of the half-Sephi, emerald eyes glinting against the light as he stared up at the half-Sephi. “And there is nothing I wouldn’t do to be by your side.”

There was a long moment of silence after Jaikus spoke. Emryc’s face, which was normally entirely stoic and expressionless, had cracks in that armor. The carved marble of his visage shifted just the slightest bit, his eyes betraying surprise. What Jaikus proposed was something he knew he could never do himself. The revelation caught him entirely off guard despite how often Jaikus had mentioned it in the past. The Sith were unforgiving when it came to deserters and this put him in yet another precarious position. However, in the end Jaikus never advanced from Champion and that perhaps meant this could fly under the radar.

“You are a fool..” He said very quietly, looking away for a moment. Despite Jaikus standing directly in front of him, the half Sephi had never felt smaller. He didn’t feel like a hulking mountain, the news crushing on him and reducing him down to size. Emryc finally looked at Jaikus again, still processing the information.

“What are you going to do instead?” Jaikus was always an idealistic man and a dreamer. It was as far from how Emryc operated as possible, and he vaguely wondered if that’s what ultimately drew Emryc to him. A part of him couldn’t deny the ache he felt being apart for that period of time. And yet, he still didn’t reach out. He didn’t shift back either, letting Jaikus close the distance however he pleased.

For a few long moments after that revelation, Jaikus allowed the silence to hang in the air between them - and the Axxilan pointedly never took his eyes off Emryc throughout. He knew the half-Sephi perhaps better than anyone else, and even those faintest shifts in Emryc’s expression - the cracks in the cool marble exterior - was plain as day for Jaikus to pick up on. And at once, he knew the news had surprised his fiancée.

In many ways, it was a decision that still surprised Jaikus himself - even as he spoke it. Despite mentioning it countless times before, despite the doubts and fundamental disagreements with the Empire, so much of his life had been dedicated to it - from childhood to the man he was today. To walk away from it - to see himself anywhere else was a reality that Jaikus in many ways never believed would come to fruition.

And yet, it was the decision he had made and committed himself to. It was the path forward he was tread regardless of the obstacles that presented themselves. Even as he said nothing, Emryc would be able to see that familiar, unwavering look that glinted behind the Axxilan’s eyes - and that alone would’ve spoken volumes to just how serious Jaikus was.

“‘Maybe I am,” He said quietly in response, staring up at Emryc even as the half-Sephi called him a fool. “But not about this.” He wasn’t ignorant to the risks that came with stepping away from the Empire.. But he hoped that his own departure would fly under the radar.

He listened as Emryc asked what he would do next, allowing a moment of pause as he pondered the question. “I don’t know for certain yet,” He said quietly, finally opting to take a step towards his fiancee. He reached forth with his right hand to grip Emryc’s own interweaving their fingers together. He squeezed, though his grip was loose enough for Emryc to pull away from if he so chose. “But I am more than what the Sith define me to be, and there is a Galaxy full of options for me. I can continue to teach, focus on business.. Pursue something new entirely,” The Axxilan had always been a dreamer, and that was no different now. His other, organic hand came up to cup the half-Sephi’s cheek tenderly - drawing his thumb across the stubble more prevalent than usual.

“But whatever I do, Emryc.. I want to do it, and know that I have your support.” He said quietly, his voice tender - emerald eyes softening to portray that familiar warmth behind them. “I want to know that I have you with me, if that is something that you still want as well.”

Emryc didn’t look up until he felt the touch against his face. His jaw tightened as he felt the cool of the cybernetic, the synthflesh lacking the warmth he was used to. Even that caused him to look down, a pang shooting through him as a constant reminder of where their paths led them. The half Sephi was silent for a long moment.

“Why do you keep coming back after I keep hurting you?” He looked at Jaikus, “After I prove time and time again that I have an unbreakable allegiance to the Sith in some shape or form? After you know I have a part of me that would destroy you without mercy? Why do you keep throwing yourself into these flames?”

Emryc shook his head and drew back from Jaikus’ touch, “You deserve a man that can fully and completely love you. You know I can never be that, Jaikus,” It stung to say the words aloud, and the level with which they cut him surprised him. However, he knew these things needed to be said. They had been voiced before, but this incident reminded him of just how much Jaikus had to constantly sacrifice.

“I can’t have you continue to give up parts of you till there is nothing left just to be with one half of me,” He looked at him, “Why don’t you see how this is destroying you? Why can’t you see that I can’t be changed or saved?”

There was a prolonged silence from Jaikus as Emryc spoke, each and every word from the half-Sephi echoing through his mind - drowning out every other thought or consideration until only his voice remained. And with every repetition, Jaikus couldn’t deny the way those words cut deep into the very core of his being - slipping past any attempt at composure and striking him where he was most vulnerable. There was a distinct pain that constricted in his chest when Emryc drew back from his touch - that simple gesture hitting him harder than even he quite realized it could.

From that very first time on Telos - an experience that felt like a lifetime ago - Jaikus had known exactly what Raze was. Unfiltered and without restraints, the Axxilan had seen the monster that dwelled within Emryc, and every experience since then had reaffirmed exactly how merciless Raze could be - that it could’ve been the person Emryc treasured and loved most, and it wouldn’t matter. Deep down, Jaikus knew exactly the monster that his fiancee was.

And yet, he could not deny the love that had been slowly built between them. Seeds planted during that very day on Serenno, and which had been cultivated with every minute spent together and every intimate and tender moment. Seeds that had turned to vines that burrowed into every fiber and piece of Jaikus’ very being. And it never wavered. No matter where his path took him - no matter what obstacle or storm attempted to rattle him, the Axxilan could see Emryc at the end of it all. The sole figure of clarity amongst it all, and the one that Jaikus anchored himself to with every bit of conviction and love that he had to give.

Jaikus didn’t immediately speak - allowing Emryc’s own words to hang on the air as they swirled within the confines of his mind. After a moment or two more, his gaze fixed firmly back onto those haunting silvers - glinting bright against the sunlight and with the very same conviction that had been his trademark.“Because.. Every moment of separation and distance between us, is agony to me. Because no matter where I am in the galaxy, you are the thing that keeps me anchored in reality."

"I come back, Because I love you. With every imperfect and flawed fiber of my being. With every breath in my lungs, and every step I take. Because you own every piece of my heart, Emryc - and to do anything less would be something far worse. And I would brave any flames - climb across any inferno - with the knowledge that you are there on the other side with me.”

“I know.. That you can only love me with one half of yourself. And that is, to me, more than enough. I deserve to be with the man who makes me happiest - who I adore with everything that I am. And that man is you, Emryc.” He said,

“I leave the Sith - willingly, and without hesitation or sacrifice, so that we will never again be in the same position that we were. So that I will never make myself a target for Raze or risk it happening again. I leave the Sith - willingly and without a semblance of regret - because you are the thing that I value higher. Because I am more than what the Empire defines me to be, and would rather set aside my allegiances to the Empire than let it stand between us.”

“I have never tried to change you from being exactly what you are, and I never will.”
He stated. “Because I know exactly the man before me, Emryc, and you are the one I choose to be with. This is the path I choose to walk, and I do so without ever looking back." He took a single step forward. "The choices and sacrifices I have made along the way, I do so willingly and without regets - and I am no less the man that I was when we began this journey for them. And I do it," Jaikus slowly but surely reached a hand forth, gripping Emryc's wrist with his organic hand. The Axxilan guided Emryc's hand until it was firmly pressed against the left side of his chest - allowing the half-Sephi to feel the way that Jaikus' heart pounded in his chest at that very moment. The way it thundered against the confines of his ribs, and quickened merely from being close.

"Because this? This does the very opposite of destroy me."

Emryc knew himself well enough to know his flaws and his limits. He had been envious of Jaikus who could embrace himself so fully, who could explore every last corner of his mind and know things beyond a doubt. The half Sephi could only guess and hope he took the right step. Raze planted seeds of doubt and conflict in his mind, and it always felt as if it were someone from the outside manipulating him. He had to remind himself that it was something crafted within his own mind.

Silence lingered after Jaikus spoke, his hand resting over the Axxilan’s chest. He knew exactly the way his heart beat, he had lazily buried his face against the man’s chest countless times before. His Sephi hearing knew how every single beat sounded and how they changed based on how Jaikus felt. He had no words left to express - they had been here countless times and always with the hope it wouldn’t happen again. Could it? Even if he left the Sith? There was that dreadful doubt again creeping up like an insidious monster.

In the end, Emryc sighed and looked at his fiancee, “I’m done fighting you on this..” He finally said quietly, “I will simply have to embrace things as they come and abandon all logic,” It was fundamentally opposite of how he operated, but as the years passed with he and Jaikus, he knew that not everything could be measured, predicted and assessed. Not everything had a pattern that could be tweaked and changed based on analytics.

He let go of all the arguments and cautionary comments that welled up in his mind. Instead, the hand that was on Jaikus’ chest slid away and came up to grasp at the back of his hair. Without warning, he pulled the other man close, tilted his head and kissed him. He kissed him as if he would never kiss again, as if he wouldn’t taste that familiarity ever again. The ache he felt in their time apart manifested in the way Emryc tasted him, in the way his fingers curled and clutched his hair, in the way his body pressed against the other man’s. Emryc was done wallowing in what happened or the dangers of what existed between them. Even if it was doomed to fail, it wasn’t there yet and perhaps it would never be. For now, he wanted to simply collapse against the warmth that melted all his icy walls so long ago.

THEME
Moments ticked by, and Jaikus could only gaze lovingly upon Emryc as the silence drew out between them - never wavering from the place where he ever longed to be. Refusing to budge, no matter the circumstances that had come their way. No matter the dangers that would always exist between them, or how the Galaxy itself seemed to split itself apart. And even as that silence lingered, every emotioned played out on the Axxilan’s face with crystal clarity - reflecting in his eyes that served as emerald-tinted windows into his very core.

The commitment and determination to stand firm in exactly who and where he was. The love and affection reserved for Emryc alone, burning behind those emerald with intensity unchecked. An inferno that had never faded in its warmth and glow, burning as hot and bright as when it all began. There had never been a single inkling of doubt in the Axxilan’s mind. And there was a comfort that came from that sense of surety and resolve.

Comfort in that knowledge that this was exactly where he was meant to be. This was home.

Jaikus’ fingers lightly rested over the top of Emryc’s own, holding them both above where his heart thundered against the confines of his chest. The Axxilan idly drew his thumb across the top of the half-Sephi’s hand, listening for a long moment as Emryc finally broke the silence between them - and he control the way those words seemed to repeat over and over again in his mind. They were words that ran contrary to how his fiancee operated in all other aspects of his life, and they carried a weight and meaningful that struck Jaikus to his very core.

Before he could say another word, Jaikus felt as Emryc’s hand came to curl tightly into the back of his hair - pulling him close in order to close that distance and capture his lips. In that moment, the rest of the Galaxy vanished for Jaikus - fading into the farthest corners of his mind, while the rest of the office melted away into a kaleidoscope of colors. All of it forgotten and irrelevant as he sank into that familiar embrace - melting against the warmth and familiarity that he had come to cherish above all else in the Galaxy.

Jaikus’ organic hand rose to curl around the back of Emryc’s neck - finding that place where it was always meant to be. He used the grip to pull the half-Sephi closer - pressing back against his fiancee and kissing him deeply - savoring the taste and warmth of his breath and the feeling of the man’s hand gripping the back of his hair. All the emptiness and pain he had felt during their separation melted away in that instant, replaced by a sense of warmth that coursed through every muscle and fiber of his body - eliciting goosebumps across his skin and sending pin-picks of electricity to every extremity.

It was an embrace that he had longed to sink against since everything that had happened. And with every step he took during the process to retake Dantooine or the bitter fight on Eriadu, it was an embrace Jaikus was terrified he would never feel again.Even as they fluttered closed, Jaikus could feel the faint sting in his eyes - the subtle indication that preceded the distinct wetness that began to form. Every emotion crashed against him in that moment, and the Axxilan pushed every lingering thought or fear of what might’ve been far out of sight.

In that moment, all he wanted was to kiss his soulmate and the man that he loved. To kiss him like it was their last time in this lifetime, and to take not a single thing for granted. To cherish the half-Sephi, and every tender embrace and moment they shared.

Those tears never advanced beyond the faint sting in his eyes. Jaikus didn’t pull back, even as his other hand came to grip tightly onto tie that Emryc was wearing - a firm yank of the fabric pulling the half-Sephi closer to his chest and bringing their bodies firmly together. Without a word, Jaikus stepped forward - guiding the pair across the room until they reached one of the interior walls of the office - stopping with the half-Sephi’s back pressed firmly against it.

His nails grazed against the back of Emryc’s neck with enough force to leave the faintest red marks, and the Axxilan didn’t yet break the contact - sinking deep against his lips as every bit of love and passion manifested plain into view. Love for the man that owned every part of Jaikus’ heart and soul. For the man that trumped all other allegiances or responsibilities. For the man that truly mattered. Above all else.

As was always the case with Jaikus, the galaxy shifted away from him. The earth could have moved away beneath his feet, the skies could have torn apart and he wouldn’t notice any of it. It had been like that even when Emryc first kissed the Axxilan in that lake years ago, back when Emryc didn’t know he could ever be with him. Even back then they weighed the risks and the harsh realities. Even back then he fought himself, holding himself back from the burning desire that overwhelmed him. Even back then when he had held onto that silly mask Jaikus had cast aside on Telos, the one he kept for what he told himself was for frivolous reasons. Even through all the times when he told himself this was only superficial, it would never delve further. That he would never make these mistakes again.

Emryc kissed Jaikus passionately, allowing him to guide them into a more discreet part of the office. The half Sephi didn’t linger against the wall for long, spinning them around so Jaikus was against the wall instead. His hands drew down to undo the buttons of his vest, pulling the clothing away before he did the same to the dress shirt underneath. Emryc allowed the fabric to slip down along Jaikus’ shoulders as he quite easily lifted the other man up slightly against the wall, putting himself between his legs. The half Sephi drew back and kissed hungrily along Jaikus’ jawline, down his neck, along his shoulder. There was a sense of urgency, a sense of passion as his mind exploded with all the ways he had attempted to stop this before. All the ways Raze had tried to sabotage it. He felt Jaikus’ cold cybernetic as a permanent reminder of the cost to them both. He would carry the memory of the Axxilan’s bloody face with him forever. In the end, those were the sins to bear above all the marks on his back. In the end, those were the wounds he carried for the price of desiring Jaikus so much.

Emryc drew back from his shoulder to gaze up at Jaikus. There was pain in the haunting, silver gaze. His hair was disheveled and his face betrayed his emotions, emotions he always considered carefully tailored. Yet these were ones he had no control over. These were ones that the Axxilan clawed out of his chest as easily as he hooked and tethered him to himself on Tatooine. His golden mottled silver eyes met the emerald ones, both colors reflections of their individual choices.

“I could whip and strip away my flesh till there is nothing but bone left,” He said barely above a whisper as he gazed at his fiancee, “But it will never stop me from loving you. It is a lesson I will never learn."

It was a permanent curse he had subjected himself to and he knew it. It was one he wasn’t even sure he could escape even after Jaikus inevitably died long before he ever saw his last days.

Like a tangible weight against his shoulders, Jaikus could feel every sensation of doubt and worry - all of the emptiness and cold anguish that had lingered during their period of separation. And as if it had never existed at all, Jaikus felt every inkling of it melt away as she sank against that familiar, passionate embrace - replaced instead by the newfound waves of warmth and desire coursing through his every limb and extremity. It was an embrace that inexplicably made the rest of the Galaxy seem so very far away, distant and completely forgotten compared to what stood before him right then.

He didn’t want to think of what would happen when they left that office, or what date had in store for them years down the road. He didn’t want to linger on the risks they faced for another moment or give voice to any other reason that might keep them apart. With every fiber of his being, Jaikus simply wished to kiss his fiancee and the man he loved. To rattle every door off its hinges and hope that the moment would last an eternity.

With each and every passionate kiss, Jaikus could feel himself melt against the half-Sephi - against the scent of his cologne, the feeling of his arms wrapped around him and all the passion and desire that manifested from the half-Sephi. It was reflected just as strongly in the way that the Axxilan pressed back against him - nals digging firmly into the neck of Emryc’s neck and used to pull him closer still. Affection, passion and desire that had been born with that very first kiss on Keldooine, and had only grown in their intensity since. Emotions that the Axxilan had never maintained any control over, and allowed to guide him through every moment of his life. Emotions that drove the Axxilan to never waver in where he stood at Emryc’s side - no matter how the very earth beneath their feet split itself asunder.

No matter what might’ve come, Jaikus know that he was exactly where he belonged - and not a force in the Galaxy could alter that.

Jaikus let out a low, satisfied growl when Emryc spun them around - pinning the Axxilan against the wall and proceeding to lift him slightly up off the ground. Almost immediately, one of Jaikus’ legs rose up to wrap around the half-Sephi’s waist - hooking their bodies together as he pulled, tugging Emryc’s hips more firmly against his own.

The moment that Emryc began to unbutton his vest and shirt, the Axxilan reached forward to to reciprocate the gesture - his fingers slithering downward and immediately hooking beneath the half-Sephi’s belt. There was a sense of urgency and raw, burning desire that laced into his gestures as the Axxilan tossed that strip of leather across the office and caused it to clank across the floor, not paying it any heed as he continued undoing the front of Emryc’s dress pants - hands continuing to snake downward and towards his destination.

He couldn’t help but let out a pitched gasp as Emryc kissed along his shoulder - a single hand rising up from below to dig into the back of the half-Sephi’s hair. His nails drug upwards and curled, applying scratches to the back of his fiancee’s neck and hair in all the ways he knew would drive the man wild.

The moment that Emryc drew back, Jaikus could only stare back at his fiancee - those glittering emerald taking note of every emotion and raw feeling that played out on the half-Sephi’s face. They were emotions that so rarely manifested on the surface, and it was something that engrained itself in the Axxilan’s mind each and every time it occurred. He stared, and his eyes only grew impossibly wider when Emryc whispered against his ear - those simple yet profound words echoing through his mind and penetrating every corner of his psyche.

They were words that took his very breath away, and they brought a new warmth and wetness to the Axxilan’s eyes as he stared up at his fiancee. Without a single word, Jaikus leaned forth to resume their passionate embrace - capturing the half-Sephi’s lips as he cherished that familiar taste and the warmth of the man’s breath against his own. Moments passed, and he was in no rush to break from that contact - his hands continuing to explore every inch of the half-Sephi’s body and manifesting every bit of desire that coursed through him.

When Jaikus finally drew back, he did so only to lean further in and to the side - the angular side of his jaw brushing against Emryc’s own cheek as he closed in on his fiancee’s fluted ear. “No matter how the Galaxy tears itself apart. No matter what comes between us, or the fires that threaten to burn us.. I am yours, Emryc Thorne. Until the stars themselves fade, I will love you with everything that I am.”
