Name: Abrek

Biology: The Abrek are medium to large sized reptilian humanoids, often standing at anywhere from 5 ft. to 7 ft. Skin coloration varies though the most common would be black, brown and tan. Their aging cycle is one of mystery, having accelerated grown in early life to the point of reaching maturity after only 10 standard years then staying in their prime until they reach the age of 60. By that time they lose the ability to reproduce all together then accelerated aging would take it's toll once more. The average lifespan of a healthy Abrek would be anywhere between 70 to 75 standard years. The Abrek mutated early on into two distinct variants, to survive the harsh jungle moon where they originated some developed heavy armored scales while others developed higher brain activity while weaker scales remained. The armored variants, dubbed Remnants by the now civilized Abrek, kept a weak primal mind.

Breeding: The Abrek are exclusively Agender, being that they are hermaphroditic, and only use gender neutral pronouns. Abrek breed sexually, and can breed with most other species that are willing to offer their DNA into the gene pool. Due to their main concern being survival and reproduction during evolution any offspring produced will always be a full Abrek as to not create any unsavory mutations via hybridization. Through this the reptilian species is nearly parasitic, feeding off of other species to reproduce as needed and taking away from the population of the species they would mate with outside of their own. Being that forwarding the species was a necessity, almost every sexual encounter will result in one or more offspring being produced. The average birth cycle for a Abrek would be three to four months. Sexual encounters are taken extremely seriously to the point of modern Abrek either only becoming intimate with those who they truly have feelings for and deeply trust or waiting until they reach the end of maturity. Remnants are known to breed with anything they possibly can to further their numbers.

Strengths: Modern Abrek are noted for high intellect, being able to quickly craft weapons and vehicles with most anything around, and known to be excellent engineers. Their four eyes give them an advantage in sight, being able to see 260 degrees around. Their stamina and strength is quite admirable, being above a regular humanoid. Born scavengers, they are able to salvage ships and technology rather well.

Weaknesses: Though Abrek are evolved past their feral counterparts, their remnants, they are still prone to animalistic tendencies due to how new the species is and can at times become savage given the right conditions. Abrek have very little force aptitude, force wielding Abrek being an extreme rarity that only happens once every million or more births. As a result from their large eyes they have a mild light sensitivity.

Diet: Abrek are carnivorous omnivores, beginning as a predatory species but evolving to move past this and consume vegetation when resources are dwindling. They won't look past cannibalism, eating other humanoids to either show respect to the dead or just survive as needed.

Behavior: The Abrek are somewhat tribal and clan oriented, being curious of outsiders but maintaining levels of apprehension whilst also evaluating others. The specific way an Abrek will interact with someone not of their species varies, but the common response to social interaction with others starts out anti-social and flows to a less aggressive attitude gradually.

Communication: The large majority of Abrek communicate through growls and other noises, a very limited amount can speak Basic. Being able to simply use translators, they saw no need to adopt a new form of language. Their form of language is known as Rekal. They have no system of written language and simply use Basic script to write in Rekal.

Culture: Modern Abrek have since strayed from their base culture, having only fractions of it still intact as they moved to a nomadic and scavenger culture. The early Abrek culture was extremely tribal, blaming unexplained things on their many gods. Force sensitives were praised by the people, gifts from the creators. Abrek strongly believed in survival of the fittest while on their home moon, leaving the weak to die if not just eating them then and there. They have since moved past this due to the abundance of resources able to be found now that an entire universe has opened up to them. Being that they were in a constant state of war as their two variants evolved in two different paths, they have no true calendar and simply adopt others' holidays.

History: The Abrek started off simple enough, reptiles showing slight humanoid characteristics. In the isolated environment they were left in, an unnamed stray jungle moon, they adapted to what was needed. They evolved into primal warriors, later genes taking the species into two distinct directions. One of intellect and one of strength, this separation eventually drove a wedge between the population. Soon after the modern Abrek began developing technology a civil war ensued, for more than 150 years the two variants fought one another for dominance. The eventual victors were the now known Remnants, the modern Abrek had quickly advanced technology and resource production during war times. From space debris that would hit the surface of the moon the modern Abrek came up with a plan to eventually escape, and escape they did. They were able to make a very basic space craft and flee from the savage Remnants, though their escape wasn't that smooth. Not too long after leaving the moon the ship was thrown into the orbit of a nearby planet, the planet of Amana. Taking advantage of the abandoned cities, for years the Abrek tinkered with and scavenged the new technology exposed to them, curious as to their applications. They had never seen such advanced engineering at work and it was something they felt worth exploring. They became a pure scavenger species, salvaging what they could to create new things. When they unleashed themselves onto the rest of the galaxy they became well known as tinkerers and engineers, often finding jobs in droid and ship repair among other professions relating.

Planet: Abrek originated on their unnamed moon, but have since traveled all over the galaxy. They are scavengers and refugees, going where ever they need to. The main population favor the abandoned sites of Amana, bringing new life to a once desolate place.

Technology: The technology of the Abrek are completely dependent on the technology of the galaxy, adapting existing tech to fit their needs. They follow standard technology, but to a less advanced degree if only due to comprehension issues since they are still incredibly new to the galaxy.

Intent: To reintroduce a fanon species from a previous timeline originally introduced by @Kuroshi, here.

Sorry for the delay @Mad Dog

1) Are you still interested in having this species reviewed?
2) Have you contacted @Kuroshi about reposting this?

No worries at all, I would still like them reviewed and hopefully reintroduced.

And I have not reached out to @Kuroshi as they have not been online in over a year.
