PERSONALITY:
Ace is a calm, together doctor and scientist with a magnificent mind. She is generally easy going and affable, quick to befriend others and easy to get to know. Over the years she's developed a sometimes bitter sense of humour which often turns people off but her closest friends know this is just a quirk and not necessarily a bad attitude. In her younger years she sought and cherished companionship and dreamed of someday getting that fairytale-holovid romance but she has since become disillusioned with it all and developed a less idealistic world view.
She was raised the daughter of a military man and inherited every bit of his stubbornness and fearless nature. She is reluctant to ever admit being wrong and won't give up on an idea until she's beaten it upside the head and proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that it is wrong.
HISTORY:
Ace was born on Coruscant and spent the majority of her childhood there. Her father was military brass and her mother dead before she was old enough to remember. As an unspoken rule they never really talked about her; He was too obviously grief stricken and she cared to much to pester.
Her father was a busy man and a dedicated soldier and didn't spend much time at home. He cared fiercely for his daughter though and saw to it that she got the best of care and schooling. She learned the basics of self defence, though she never truly excelled at the art, and when her father came home on leave he made a point of teaching her the basics of piloting, tactics and enough marksmanship to be able to hold her own. He wanted his little girl to be prepared for every eventuality and to be able bodied enough to look after herself when he was not around. Brilliant and precocious she absorbed information like a sponge and was proud to do so. Ace hero worshipped her father and wanted to be just like him. She knew from the beginning that the only career in life she would ever want would be with the military, making him proud. She was, however, a stubborn and wily youth. Her free spirited nature and persistence broke many a nanny, much to her father's frustration.
Ace developed her interest in medicine as a teen and it stuck with her. She had the brains to be good at it and compassion enough to be motivated into becoming a dedicated healer and surgeon; That was what it was all about, helping those less fortunate than herself. As soon as she was old enough she went to medical school, where she both impressed and flabbergasted her teachers. Among the top in her class, a few years later she became a fully certified doctor and military enlistee. She served with loyalty and eagerness, the job made relatively easy the first few years by generally peaceful times. But working on and patching up injured and dying soldiers is never an easy task. She eventually walled herself off from the unpleasant feeling that accompanied her duties, falling back on humor as a coping mechanism. It was easier not to think about the man-someones father, brother, lover, best friend- who had died on your table when you could find a way to laugh it off.
For the time being, life is good. Over the years Ace went through several men before deciding the majority were pigs she didn't really have time for and she developed several friendships among her unit. A few years back her father retired after years of long service and she visits him whenever she has leave on Coruscant.
