ADDING ASSETS

Assets are a very important part of the Hutt Cartel. As a criminal organization, it encourages its members to go out and plant the seeds of corruption on their own initiative. Smuggling rings, mercenary groups, shell corporations, and regular old shops and cantinas. These are the things that help the Cartel and its criminal enterprises flourish across the galaxy, and bring wealth to the members that participate in such activities. The Cartel is willing to aid members who have wishes to expand and create their own fortunes of corruption in Hutt Space, and the wider galaxy. But the Cartel is not simply going to every bright eyed prospect with a half baked scheme a fortune in credits and assets to call their own. For those seeking to create assets for the Cartel, the following information must be provided.

• Participant Characters: Only Enforcers and above may add assets to the Cartel, but if you have more than one character of any rank participating in the venture please list them out.
  
• Operations: What is it you are going to do? Please go into detail as to the nature of the operations you will be undertaking.
  
• Assets: What physical assets will you be making use of? Credits? Ships? Buildings? NPCs? Do note that these will typically be provided by the Cartel, and thus will be under a great deal of scrutiny.
  
• Employment Opportunities: How will your operation/asset provide story opportunities for other members of the Cartel to participate in? If you are using this simply to give a character a palace and control of a bunch of NPC's, you will be rejected.

You may of course embellish. Feel free to add details, and if others are participating in the venture, the odds on having more assets provided by the Cartel increase. Do note that players are expected to be active with their assets, otherwise it's just wasted money on the part of the Cartel. If your asset produces different goods, or makes certain goods available to the Cartel be sure to list them out as well.

If you are out gathering a bunch of assets hoping to add them to the Cartel after you already have them, it will be looked upon badly. While it shows a level of initiative, it also shows that a character who does such things is reckless, and be extensions risks the reputation of the Cartel and could even undermine its activities and agreements with other large factions.

Adding an asset to the Cartel is not something to be done on a whim, and we encourage members thinking of doing so to be sure this is what they really want.
