Edin’s reflexes almost kicked when she abruptly grasped him by the collar to tug him down towards her face. He held back his reflexes, staring into her golden gaze. Instead of getting intimidated, he simply gave her a lazy grin. His demeanor was as calm and collected as usual, and he didn’t draw back from her.

“Charming men in cantinas seems like an average tuesday for you,” He said with that smile, “I had a plan to take him down with or without your ‘help’. If you want half, how about you do the work to plant evidence that it was the Republic?” It was something he was potentially losing out on because he shifted up his tactics thanks to her. However, he had no intention of just handing her half the cash otherwise.

The Firrerreo’s gaze briefly flicked down her face and then back up to her eyes, “Unless you’d like to kiss me, darling, I suggest you release me,” He widened his grin to reveal the razor sharp fangs, a glint in his eye. He kept his face close to hers, not closing the distance, but not drawing back either. He stood his ground.

There was no intimidating the sharpshooter. That lazy, tantalizing grin of his had probably been knocked off his face one too many times for that. One riled Tiefling wasn't enough to put the fear in him— not even if that Tiefling called upon the Force and shot lightening out of her hands or sent him flying into his Razorfin.

No, all she could do was exchange one barbed comment for another, and even that likely wouldn't do much to make his blood boil. "Not particularly. Why? You aren't jealous, are you?"

A part of Amira recognized that Edin had beaten her to the Prime Minister fair and square, that the bounty was fair game, but she would never admit that to him. Not when he looked so pleased with himself. She had made no plans to frame the Republic for the Prime Minister's death, simply because she wasn't sure how to go about planting evidence. Unlike Edin, she was new to the assassination game. But maybe, together, they could figure something out.

The Tiefling hesitated, torn between the desire to stay in close proximity to one another and the need to show Edin that she could be just as stubborn as he was. That she didn't throw herself at every man that she happened to encounter in a cantina. "Fine. I'll plant the evidence" she huffed, releasing the sharpshooter and crossing her arms. It was the only way she would ever get her hands on the credits, and she hadn't traveled all this way for nothing.

She tossed her head toward the cantina and added, "Let's go talk strategy. I'll buy you a drink this time." A generous offer, she thought, considering the fact that he had just come in to 75,000 credits. @Sreeya

Edin simply smiled at her quip about jealousy, “Not nearly as much as you want me to be, beautiful,” He gave her a wink and withdrew when she released him. The Firrerreo straightened up his jacket and nodded when she agreed to plant the evidence. Though he wouldn’t point this out, she appeared to be a bit of an amateur to the whole crime thing. Why was she even pursuing bounties as a Sith? Couldn’t she simply mindtrick her targets and make them shoot themselves to make it look like a suicide to authorities? In fact, that sounded brilliant. If she weren’t so damn hot headed, he’d even suggest it as an option for future jobs to give him half the cut if he found her a way in.

The Firrerreo was pulled out of his thoughts when she suggested going to the cantina. He grinned at her offer to buy him a drink. He opened the door for her, following her into the cantina. Edin stared in mild surprise - spotting nothing but people that looked like farmers or old timey barmaids. He felt as if he had been transported to another galaxy. He had never felt so out of place.

“E’ gads is that a demon?!??!” A man slurred his words as he pointed in terror at Amira. The Firrerreo blinked in surprise, all the patrons staring at them in shock. The music in the cantina was something different from anything he heard before.

Edin cleared his throat and stepped in, everyone slightly tense at Amira’s appearance. He grabbed a menu that looked as if it was a thousand years old. The drink options were a variety of moonshines and other spirits he had never heard of and some ales and some extremely unhealthy fried foods.

A bar maid with a ridiculously massive chest pushed up by the corset of her dress walked over to them. She was unfazed by Amira and Edin. The Firrerreo’s gaze only briefly flicked over to her and then back, doing his best to be polite and not stare.

“What can I get ya?” She asked in a bored tone. Edin looked over to see what Amira would say, briefly looking over to the patrons that were getting up to dance to this style of music. They moved in ways he certainly didn't know how to do.

"I didn't take you for a gentleman," Amira remarked as Edin opened the door for her, but it was evident by the smile in her voice that she appreciated the gesture a lot more than she let on.
The cantina might have taken Edin by surprise, but Amira right felt right at home here. Well, she would have if it weren't for the yokel at the bar yelling about a demon. Amira rolled her eyes, and with one small, inconspicuous wave of her hand, the man's barstool slid to his left, and he tumbled onto the floor face first, spilling his drink down the front of his overalls on the way down. "Dagnabit!" came his muffled voice.

There. Now Amira felt at home. The cantina and its clientele reminded Amira of home, of the cantinas she had snuck into in her youth when Ma and Pa thought she was asleep. Boy, she'd seen her life flash before her eyes when Pa finally caught her— and that was before he'd drug her home to face the wrath of Ma. Just the memory of that long night sent a shiver running down her spine.

Kicking up loose straw scattered across the wooden floorboards, Amira slid into a booth, humming along to the tune that she recognized. It instantly put her in a good mood, and she could almost forgive Edin for today's events. She picked up on the fact the the Firrerreo was uncomfortable, purposely redirecting his gaze away from the waitress making her way over. "Don't look away on my account. I wouldn't want to spoil your fun," she smiled, head still bopping to the familiar music. But if Edin knew anything about women, he would realize that she didn't mean it. Amira didn't like to share, at least not when she was face to face with something she wanted all to herself.

Once the waitress reached their table, the Tiefling would give the woman her order. "Two mugs of black dog mash." If Edin wanted to order something else, she would just drink both glasses herself. "And a plate of fried frog legs." She caught the Firrerreo staring and shot him a silent look that said, 'What? I'm hungry.'

After that, the waitress disappeared behind the bar, still chewing a large wad of gum. Amira turned to Edin. "It'll make hair grow on your chest," she said, referring to the mash. A slow, steady smirk appeared on her lips, her gaze steady and unflinching as she stared across the table at him. "Or do you already have hair on your chest?" @Sreeya

The Firrerreo fought to keep a straight face as soon as the drunk man abruptly toppled from his stool.

“All right, Chuck, yer cut off,” The bartender called out.

“Wai-but!”

Within moments, the owner’s two large sons came out to physically drag Chuck out of the cantina. Edin couldn’t help but be impressed at the sequence of actions, though he was thoroughly entertained.

Edin grinned at Amira as he moved into the booth with her, “I was raised better than to openly ogle women’s chests as a grown man,” He quipped right back to clear up any notion of it having to do with her, "Unless they actually want me to, of course," Edin added with a wink. Their game back and forth showed no signs of slowing down. Edin was silent when she ordered for them, the entire thing sounding like a different language to him. There was a quizzical look on his face. To be honest it sounded disgusting, but then again the folks here likely thought the same with some of the delicacies he tried on Nar Shaddaa.

He couldn’t help but find himself drumming his fingers to the song, finding the music oddly catchy. Edin tilted his head to look at Amira as she made a quip about the hair on his chest, “Maybe if you behave, you’ll get to find out and feel for yourself,” He gave her that familiar lazy grin.

Within moments, the drinks and their food arrived. He could smell the alcohol from a mile away and it almost made his nostrils burn. Firrerreo could generally handle things better than most humanoids, but tieflings definitely had them beat. He eyed the mugs suspiciously, but he wasn’t going to back down from a challenge. Edin picked his drink up and bumped it against hers, “Cheers,” He said before taking a sip. He coughed a moment later, laughing to himself as he punched his chest, “Damn this is…a kick in the teeth all right.”

Even one sip made him realize this would make him worthless rather quickly.

Every cantina from Bandomeer to Bespin had its own version of Chuck, but at least Amira didn't have the misfortune to be sitting across from one. Edin had never said a word about her appearance, except to compliment her horns. Despite that smug smile and cocky attitude, he was one of the good ones.

"You ought to know by now, handsome, that I never behave," the Tiefling grinned, trailing a single finger along her collar and batting her eyes at him, just to tease him. "I thought that's what you liked about me?"

As soon as the waitress returned with their order, Amira didn't hesitate to dig in. Some girls were afraid to eat their fill in front of a man for fear of what he might think of their figure or appetite, but the Tiefling knew her figure spoke for itself. And as for appetite, when you grew up in a household with nine other siblings, you had to stuff your face if you wanted to get your fair share. Especially with growing teenage boys around.

The frog legs were good, the crunch of their breading and the mild flavor of the meat almost as good as Ma's. "My pa and I used to go frog gigging every spring," she said idly, biting into a second leg. By the time Edin had taken his first sip of mash, Amira had already downed half of her glass.

She laughed at Edin's sudden outburst, her entire body shaking as she threw her head back with genuine mirth. The Tiefling hadn't laughed this hard in a long, long time. "Real lightweight, aren't ya, Basilisk?" Finally, something she was better at than him.

Wiping greasy fingers off on a napkin, Amira would lean forward in her seat, resting her elbows against the table. Strands of hair blown loose from their ride on the speeder bike fell forward and framed her face. "Listen, we've been dancing around each other since that first night back on Takodana. It's only a matter of time before we meet in the middle— it's just a question of when and who will make the first move. How about a proposition— a friendly little drinking game between two... friends?" She grinned, her eyes twinkling underneath the booth's lights. "You win, and I'll make the first move. I win, and you have to make the first move. Deal?"

If he agreed, she would order four more mugs of mash. The Tiefling stared at him with all the confidence in the world. This was a game she knew she could win. @Sreeya

Edin simply smiled in response to the quip about behaving. He wasn’t about to give her the satisfaction of letting her know she was absolutely right. Instead, he busied himself with prodding at one of the frog legs before taking a bite. To his surprise, it was actually quite pleasant. He took a whole one for himself and nibbled on it. Edin looked up when she mentioned going ‘frog gigging’. He didn’t know what the hell that meant, but assumed it meant catching frogs for consumption.

“You see your family often?” He asked, surprising himself. It was a bit of a sore topic for him as he had none left at this point. He had been a loner for a long time, his father and the man he admired long since dead now. The Firrerreo took another sip of the drink and felt it burn his throat again. It tasted no less disgusting this time around, but that burn was almost nice.

Edin eyed her as she proposed her drinking game, taking in sight of the silvery strands breaking loose and framing her face. He couldn’t help but wonder what she looked like having her hair loose and draped around her shoulders. Edin squashed the line of thought, scoffing at the idea of a drinking game. He wiped the fried frog grease off his fingers and mouth, taking another long swig of the drink.

“No deal,” He said flatly to her proposal. Instead, he rose from where he was sitting and moved into the side of the booth she was sitting in. He slid in next to her, putting an arm casually around her shoulder to tug her close as he grinned at her, “I don’t need the excuse of a game to make a move and I don’t play games I can’t win,” He reminded her as he leaned in close, “I suppose that means it’s your move now then, doesn’t it? Do you need me to get a ladder for you to climb over your own ego, or can you get over it?”

Edin followed up with his fingers dexterously tugging away at the tie that held her hair up, letting the cascade of hair fall around her shoulders and back.

"Not really," the Tiefling replied with a downturned expression. The question had taken her by surprise. She'd never stopped to consider that Edin might be interested in who she was as a person, in the life she had lived and the experiences that had brought her to this exact moment. Not because she thought less of him or believed he was a shallow individual. On the contrary, she believed just the opposite to be true. But in her experiences, the men she had encountered hadn't been interested in getting to know know her.
Edin Frost continued to surprise her, and in all the best ways. Well, except for that incident with the Prime Minister. "I haven't seen my family in a few years. Except for Jabari, of course," she added, perking up at the memory. That was something she would need to rectify, sooner rather than later. "What about you?" Some people were touchy on the subject of family, but she assumed that he would not fault her for asking.

The Tiefling couldn't deny the pang of disappointment when Edin denied her proposition with a flat 'No deal,' that same stomach clenching nausea that she had felt in the alleyway that night on Takodana returning. For a brief moment, she considered cutting her losses and leaving, before he could humiliate her for the second time that day, but as it turned out— that wouldn't be necessary.

Disappointment would disappear as he rose from his chair and slid into hers, arm slipping around her shoulders. Initially, the Tiefling was surprised— flustered, even, which would probably send his already overinflated ego through the roof. "I forgot about that," she muttered, sucking in a breath of air. She leaned into him, subtly chewing on her bottom lip as he reached up to tug her hair free. Long strands of silver slid loose, tumbling down around her face and over her shoulders, cascading down her back.

Once the shock of his advance had begun to wear off, Amira rallied. "You sure you know what you're getting into, sharpshooter? I might be more than you can handle." Her words sounded far more sincere than just simple banter, but he might not pick up on that subtlety. The Tiefling turned to face him, yellow eyes probing his as she reached both hands up. One slipped behind his neck and into his hair, just like on Takodana. The other cupped the right side of his face, thumb gently massaging his cheek.

Then, searching his eyes for confirmation, she leaned upward and pressed her lips to his with far more enthusiasm than she intended. Warmth instantly flooded her body, fingers tingling against his skin and clutching at his hair, practically melting into him. @Sreeya

Edin said nothing when she asked about his family. Where could he begin? By telling her he was born into slavery? That he was forced into indentured service and crime to buy his freedom and that of his mother’s? And that in the end his mother would never be freed and he turned the gun on his owner to escape that hellhole? None of it made for casual conversation and he instead took a longer sip of his drink.

His own move provided a much needed distraction from the topic of family. He wanted to focus on Amira and the here and now instead of lingering on the past he blocked off and compartmentalized. Right now he gazed into her vibrant golden eyes and marveled at the way the shock of white hair contrasted against her dark skin. He watched the way she seemed almost flustered, and he couldn’t help but allow a genuine smile to grace his face. The coy and shy look on her face was something that drew him in more than any outright flirting ever would.

“I have no idea what I’m getting into and I like that,” Edin said simply before he leaned into her touch, sinking against the feel of her hands against his face. The Firrerreo closed his eyes and tilted his head to meet her lips for a kiss, one long waited since the night they first met. His fingers curled into her silky hair as he leaned in further, savoring the kiss and allowing her to sample a taste of the passion he felt. Edin was careful to ensure his sharp fangs didn’t make a debut to ruin the moment.

Edin wanted nothing more than to go further, one of his hands teasingly brushing against one of her thighs. However, he gently drew back from the kiss at last, though he kept his lips close to hers. The Firrerreo smiled at her as he gazed at her, murmuring softly against her skin, “I hope you don’t think this gets you out of doing your part in planting evidence,” He said before he stole another quick kiss, amusement glinting in his eye.

Of all the songs he expected to be playing for his first kiss with a tiefling, he certainly couldn’t have predicted it would be this one.

Edin never answered her question about his family, and Amira had no intention of pushing the subject. The Tiefling had been blessed with two loving, hard-working parents and a household full of siblings that cared for her no matter how much they might have bickered and fought, and she realized that, in many ways, her upbringing alone made her more fortunate than most. Maybe Edin had experienced a bad family life, or maybe he and his family had grown distant and never spoke anymore, or maybe he never even had a family to begin with. The galaxy left its marks and its scars on everyone eventually, each unique and traumatizing in its own ways. For some, the weight alone of each scar and the memory attached to it was more than they could bear.

"You can't say I didn't warn you."

The Tiefling had no opportunity to dwell on his past anyway, as they pulled one another into a kiss— the kiss they'd both been waiting for ever since they'd laid eyes on each other in that cantina. Edin's lips were soft and gentle at first, the kiss deepening as his fingers curled into loose strands of her hair. Amira kept her eyes closed, even when he gradually pulled away to murmur against her skin, his breath warm and inviting. Even if she'd wanted to, Amira could not focus on anything but Edin and the increasing sensations he provided. Tingling aches spread throughout her entire body, her hands in particular feeling the need to touch and explore him more than they already did.

But she kept them right where they were, her grip on his hair growing taught as she pulled his face even closer. Not that it really could get any closer than it already was. "I wouldn't dream of it," she whispered, her breath ragged and her heart pounding in her chest. Finally, her eyelids fluttered open— yellow eyes exploring his face, the sight of him enough to send a fluttering sensation throughout her chest."I need the credits." And now, more than ever, she wanted to spend more time with him.

A nervous smile spread across her lips, the Tiefling swallowing hard when she realized he intended to kiss her again. Her lips parted in anticipation, a soft, involuntary sigh escaping when they were united once more. When they finally pulled away again, she felt several pairs of eyes on them, watching their every move. "Nice," one of the men at the bar whistled, while another looked like he wanted to toss them both out. "This is better than TV."

Amira chuckled quietly to herself, burying her face in Edin's neck. The Tiefling loved being the center of attention, so the onlookers didn't bother her. What bothered was how Edin was able to reduce her from a confident temptress to a flustered woman in a matter of seconds. "You want to get out of here?" she asked so only he could hear. @Sreeya

Edin wasn’t even aware of their surroundings while he was focused on her. It was only when he heard the audience commentary that he turned to look at the men. Though Amira wouldn’t be able to see Edin’s face then, something about his expression made the men stop smiling at once. The Firrerreo dropped some crowns for a decent tip on the table before turning to Amira with a grin. He said nothing in response, finishing off his mug before sliding out of the booth. He grasped her by the hand to lead her out of the cantina.

“You threw the Huttball in my court,” Edin said as they walked outside, “Just remember that,” He added with a teasing smile as he jutted his chin towards an inn across the street. Between the contentment he felt from the drink and the rush of what happened back in the cantina, Edin was certainly in a mood. He used his journalist identity to check them in. The positive side of Amira being so easy to distinguish was that no one was paying attention to him. During the shooting, she was an innocent bystander, and she just so happened to be seen in a random inn later. No one would focus on her as a suspect, and he was far less memorable by comparison.

Edin used the ancient key to the room he was given, fiddling with the archaic lock before the door finally opened. The room looked a thousand years old, but everything was in order otherwise. The Firrerreo stood in the doorway, leaning against the frame as he glanced down at Amira. He gave her that familiar fanged grin with a tilted head, “Still wanna find out if I have chest hair or not?” He asked, leaving enough space for her to walk into the room if she wanted.

Hands intertwined, Amira followed the Firrerreo out of the cantina. This was the second time they'd left a cantina together, but this time around the Tiefling had no intention of letting him slip through her fingers like he had on Takodana. Not tonight. No more games and no more playing hard to get— at least for now. She made no promises for the future, simply because sometimes playing hard to get was the best way to get what you wanted.

"I hope you're not saying you're forgettable," she grinned, some of that coquettish bravery he was accustomed to returning now that they were outside, their bodies no longer pressed against one another as she stared into those crystal clear blue eyes of his. "Because that would be incredibly disappointing."

Edin used an alias and false identification to check them into the little wayside inn, something he'd probably done a thousand times in his line of work. The coupled climbed the staircase that would lead them to their room, every step creaking under their shoes like a ship caught in a hurricane. The room itself was small, with a bed and an old and weathered enamel wash basin. A white, porcelain pitcher covered in pink and blue flowers sat next to it, full of fresh water. The actual bathroom was down the hall and to the right, just like the receptionist had said.

"I thought that old bat would never stop staring at me," Amira remarked, tail brushing against Edin's arm as she slipped past him and into the room. "You'd think these were the first pair of horns she'd ever seen." Unlikely, considering that barn full of goats they had passed on their way here. The Tiefling turned, yellow eyes wandering over the room in inspection.

The room smelled bitter— like mothballs— and reminded her of how her Great Aunt Tessie's house had always smelled. The bed was bronzed iron, with the kind of springs that probably squeaked every time you turned over in the middle of the night. All four walls were covered with framed pictures hung with no apparent rhyme nor reason, mostly of roosters, with a few oil paintings of flowers scattered amongst the poultry. In the middle hung a black clock shaped like a cat, softly ticking as its eyes moved back and forth, watching their every move. Moss colored curtains with ball fringe edging hung across the only window.

"Romantic, huh?" she chuckled. Beside the bed a single bulb
lamp sat, with a decorative rooster plate propped up in front of it. Amira suddenly smiled, brushing a hand over the plate. "Ma used to have this exact plate. Until my little brother's tail caught on the tablecloth and broke it." Along with every other dish. Ma had been furious. She stopped, not sure why she'd said that out loud. Hopefully it hadn't killed the mood— the memory had just snuck up on her suddenly.

When Edin spoke, Amira turned to face him again, lips tugging upwards into a smile. "What do you think?" she asked, still feeling brave with him so far away. Her tail waved back and forth. "Well, what are you waiting for? Close the door, Basilisk." @Sreeya

It was the crack of dawn when Edin bolted upright in bed at the sound of an obnoxiously loud rooster. He looked around almost in a comical panic, never having heard that noise before. He already had a pistol in his hand, pausing for a moment before he worked out that it was a god damn rooster. The Firrerreo rubbed his eyes, glanced over to see that creepy cat clock that stared at him with that eerie smile with the eyes still shifting back and forth. This entire room was bizarre and the mothball smell was almost overwhelming to his heightened senses.

The Firrerreo glanced over to look at Amira, taking in sight of her as he replayed the events of the night prior through his mind. The sight of her immediately improved his moody expression. It had been exhilarating and neither of them held back in their passions last night. There were several points during the night when the grumpy guest below them hit the ceiling with a broom. Edin ran his fingers through his disheveled hair, having very little desire to climb out of bed just yet. Their clothing was strewn about all over the floor.

The Firrerreo plopped onto his back into his pillow, gazing up at the ceiling as the stupid rooster continued its agonizing cry. It wasn’t even light outside yet. Edin didn’t release the pistol just yet, finger flirting with the trigger. He wanted nothing more than to shoot the damn thing.

“I could never do farm life..” He muttered in a defeated, half sleepy tone.

On Bandomeer, not a morning passed without the crow of a rooster to accompany daybreak. Eventually, if you lived there long enough, you either learned how to sleep through the sound or you rolled over, pulled the covers tighter, and went back to sleep. Unless Ma happened to be in one of her vigorous, all hands on deck cleaning moods— then no one could go back to sleep. And if you did, she'd come tearing into your room like a blue streak, and you'd spend the rest of the day wishing you had just gotten up in the first place.

"It's not so bad," Amira replied in an especially soft tone, voice still groggy from sleep. One arm slipped over the Firrerreo, long strands of silver hair spread across the pink floral pillows that didn't match the color of the bedsheets. "You seem to like farm girls." She smiled a little at that, blinking a few times as her eyes gradually adjusted.

The Tiefling stared at him, yellow eyes still sleepy as they traced his sharp jawline. Her fingers reached for the hand that held the gun, gently tracing his skin but not trying to remove the weapon from his grasp. "I hope you don't plan to shoot me with that thing," she teased. @Sreeya

Edin savored her touch more than he would admit, and he was growing used to that familiar warmth. The Firrerreo turned to face her, gazing at her golden eyes for a moment. He felt her hand against his and he remembered he was still clutching the gun. The Firrerreo chuckled to himself before finally setting the pistol down, freeing his hand up. He idly traced his fingers along her upper arm, as he gazed at her for a moment.

“Is it too sappy if I tell you that you are beautiful?” Edin asked quietly. It was certainly a break from their fiery game, but he wasn’t playing right now. He ignored the dreadful rooster in the background, focusing solely on the vibrant golden eyes he could get lost in. Was she born with them or did they turn like that from Sith corruption? Did he care when they drew him in all the same?

For a moment he forgot about the assassination job. Every Holonet was blasting the news. Normally he would have long since left the planet, but here he was in an ancient inn with a farm girl that rocked his world. Edin’s hand traced from her arm to wrap around her torso to pull her closer to himself. He could have simply upped and left as was his style, but he lingered instead. He wanted to get lost in the silky strands of silver and melt against her warmth and let that rhythmic tick tock of the stupid clock blend into the background.

Daylight had begun to dawn, crisp and clear as soft sunbeams crept through the windowpane, exposing the particles of dust that floated throughout the room. Birds perched on tree limbs just outside of the window began to sing, signaling the start of a new day. Amira laid there smiling from ear to ear for no good reason other than her close proximity to Edin and the warmth he provided. Small electrical jolts shot through the skin beneath his fingers when he touched her arm, the Tiefling almost imperfectively shivering in response.

"Maybe," she said as she took a deep, savoring breath, yellow eyes memorizing every line of his face as they stared at one another. Amira's cheeks glowed, one hand reaching up to stroke his cheek. "But I'd like to hear you say it anyway," she revealed. She had thrived on attention ever since she was a child, and nothing made her happier. She wanted to hear exactly what Edin thought of her, appearance or otherwise.

The Tiefling's tale escaped the sheets, curling behind the sharpshooter to brush aside a strand of dark hair that hung over his face. As she patiently waited for him to continue, she tried to scoot closer to him. Inadvertently, her horns caught on the pillow and tore its cover. For a second or two she laid there completely still, a little embarrassed, before breaking into a silly grin. "Oops," she giggled. @Sreeya

Edin had to smile when she used her tail to brush aside some of his hair. Her tail was definitely a very expressive part of her, and he learned that more and more with time spent. He embraced her close, surprised at his own tender actions. Edin paused for a moment, genuine surprise on his face when he heard that laugh from her.

“Did you just…giggle?” He blurted out, unable to hide the amused smile. It was enough to make him laugh before he leaned in to playfully kiss her again. Seeing these different sides of her certainly drew him in more than he ever would have expected. His normal style was to tap it and then be on his way. He mentally explained to himself that he was hanging around only because she promised to plant evidence. Yup, that was it.

Edin slowly drew back from the bed, stretching and yawning to reveal his razor sharp fangs. He ruffled up his hair before standing at the foot of the bed. He didn’t bother putting his clothes on, his slim but athletic frame on display. Edin tilted his head to look at her, “I’m gonna shower. Feel free to join me unless I wore you out too much,” He playfully winked at her.

The Firrerreo walked into the refresher expecting to see a modern shower, but instead he came across a strange contraption. Edin’s face scrunched up in confusion as he stood in the bathroom staring at it.

“What the fuck is that?”

The Tiefling had the distinct feeling that Edin wasn't going to let her live that moment down. Neither would the receptionist, if she found out that her precious handstitched pillow cover had been ripped. Amira rolled her eyes, nevertheless relishing in the unexpected kiss the Firrerreo planted on her lips."What? Never heard a girl giggle before?" A single finger moved to caress his nose, tracing the length of it— the gesture tender and intimate. "I find that very hard to believe."
Strands of silver hair spilled over her shoulders as she sat up, tangled locks framing her face as she stifled a yawn. "Sith giggle too, you know," she chuckled, slipping out from under the sheets and running a hand over her left arm— still sore thanks to that two hundred pound oaf. He could have at least tried to distribute the weight rather than barreling into her like a bull at the gate with a heifer on the other side. "We're not all tall, dark, and brooding."

Amira followed Edin into the refresher, unable to contain the laughter that followed his outburst. "You really are a city boy, aren't you?" she grinned, purposely brushing against his arm as she moved past him. "This is a clawfoot bathtub." Yellow eyes swept over the tub before she reached in, turning both handles to start the water. "The feet used to be made out of iron, to keep the water warmer longer. Now I s'pose they're just for decoration."

Kneeling down beside the porcelain tub, she ran a hand idly through the water to check its temperature. She grinned at the Firrerreo, still standing in the doorway like a lost puppy. There was an unmistakable warmth in her eyes as she stared at him. "And to confuse the likes of you, I imagine. Come on. The water's just right." @Sreeya

“Never heard a Sith Empress giggle before,” He said with a smile before making his way over to the refresher.

Her explanation of a ‘claw foot tub’ didn’t do much to alleviate his concerns. He was used to automated showers that took five seconds and had blowers to dry his hair. Edin watched curiously as she turned some faucets and began to fill the tub. Naturally his eyes were on her as she worked, tilting his head and shamelessly thinking she was going to bend over to check the water. Nope, she politely knelt down by the tub instead.

“Huh?” He blurted, shaken out of his thoughts as she mentioned the water being right, “Like.. get in?” He blinked a few times before stepping forward. He trusted her judgment of water temperature and eased in, the water coming up to his chest. Edin placed his hands on either side of the tub, groaning softly in satisfaction.

“Damn…this is nice..” He said, tilting his head back. He angled his head to the side to look at her, “You coming in or are you going to fan me and feed me grapes? I wouldn't mind either..” Edin said with a grin. This vaguely reminded him of some of the fancier crime bosses that raved about their baths. Now he could see why.

"Maybe you're not as charming as you give yourself credit for then," she quipped, still grinning ear to ear. No matter what she might have said, the Firrerreo definitely had something going for him, otherwise they wouldn't be staying in this ancient inn that had the decorating style of some sort of sick and twisted conglomeration of her Great Aunt Tessie's and Great Aunt Gertrude's antique collection.
The Tiefling watched Edin as he leaned back and settled into the porcelain tub, his muscles visibly relaxing beneath the warm water. Exactly what her left arm needed—a good, hot soak. Amira stepped into the tub, but she didn't immediately slip into the water. Instead, she placed both hands on either side of the tub to support her weight and leaned down over the Firrerreo. Silver hair slipped over her shoulders, dangling near his face. Yellow eyes stared into blue, unblinking. "In your dreams, sharpshooter," she hummed against his ear, smiling as her tail slipped into the water. Amira's days following a man halfway across the galaxy, forever at his beck and call every waking hour of the day were over. Behind her.

There was a soft rattle at the door. "Breakfast is ready, dearies!" a small, squeaky voice announced from the other side. When there was no immediate answer, she knocked again. "On the house! Come on down and join us!"

Without ever lifting a finger, Amira reached into the other room with the Force and turned on the old transistor radio that sat atop the bedside table. The fast tempo of a mandolin and flat-top guitar drowned out the woman's voice, but a final "Well, I never!" was still audible as she stormed away. Amira's mother would have chastised her for her manners and rude behavior, but Ma wasn't here right now. Thankfully.

Her attention returned to Edin, the Tiefling's lips hovering inches from his face. "Where were we?" @Sreeya
