AFTER THE JOINING

"What those mandibles do?" -- Altaris

The Killik invasion is a wildfire sweeping throughout the galaxy, and it would seem that for all the Sith's power, not even the Empire is safe. Those that do not submit to the hivemind are annihilated, but for some, the threat of death is preferable over the alternative. Sol Kenuk is one such man, and he won't stand idly by as the threat of the Killiks rage throughout space. A call to arms rings across Imperial communications, as he calls his fellow Sith and Imperials to arms against several potential threats that have already managed to penetrate the Empire's territory.

Threads will be Ask and may be Dice-rolled, Self-DM'ed, or traditionally DM'd. Please only sign up for one mission, as there are only three missions available to keep things a bit manageable. When you're ready to get your threads up, post the links here so I can keep track of them, and be sure to let me know when a mission is complete.
ISOLATION
• Two participants.
• Horror and Combat.
Complete.

@Varyn Atrix, @Nova Trent

A few days ago, a stationary military hospital ship within the solar system of Raxus suddenly ceased all communications. Despite numerous attempts to make contact, there is only ever a deadening silence on the other side. Only yesterday morning, a security team was sent to investigate, but it appears that they, too, have fallen silent. We have only the initial reports of the team before they docked with the vessel, and what little was discovered is an ominous sign. Escape pods untouched. Interior lights flickering eerily. And a complete lack of life. The hull itself appears undamaged, and the docking mechanisms are still functional. This was no pirate attack. Whatever happened, happened from the inside.

Infiltrate the hospital. Discover the culprit. And be wary, while there is not yet any evidence that the killiks are responsible, the circumstances are highly unusual.
TAINTED BLOOD
• Two participants.
• Investigative.
Complete.

@Caelian, @Bel

Dromund Kaas is perhaps one of the most protected planets in the Empire, but that didn't stop the bombing of the Academy, and that doesn't appear to be stopping the Killiks, either. Recently, a new reporter for the Imperial Patriot began ranting about how the war was tearing the galaxy apart, and while some might have been sympathetic to his outburst, he ended the tantrum by stating that The Us would unite all, including the Empire. This is obviously a cause for concern.

Since the outburst, the reporter has hardly been seen. Recent reports appear to show him lurking upon the outskirts of key military locations. It's to be assumed that he's scouting out the best targets for the Killik. Better that they never have the chance to grow a foothold within the heart of the Empire. Track down the man and kill him. But beware, the reporter has a family, and while they appear to be acting normally, local security forces seem confident that they are hiding his location. If his family is a part of the Killik hivemind as well, then they too should exterminated.

Some report that the reporter's wife is particularly prone to... unfaithful excursions. If it suits you, perhaps you'd fancy a date? Just be wary about revealing your intentions too soon. The Killik appear to be a hivemind. And if both she and the reporter are now a part of that hivemind... it might be best to avoid playing your cards too early.

As for how the human family might have been infected in the first place... they had only recently moved to Dromund Kaas. It is believed that they were joined with The Us somewhere else in the galaxy, and were ultimately sent into the heart of the Empire as scouts.
WICKED HEARTS
• Two participants.
• Assassination.
Complete.

@Draugr, @Llolith Uttu

Dantooine. The Empire's hottest battlefield. The rebels have corrupted the minds of it's people with ideas of freedom and peace, but time and time again, the Sith reclaim what is rightfully ours. Now, it seems, some on the planet have grown desperate, desperate enough to invite a few of the Us onto Dantooine's soil. A grand ball is being held within Dantoo Town, and it appears that some of the most influential members of Dantooine's rebellious society will be present, along with the killik representative, whoever, or whatever, that might be. They're clearly planning something big, a plot born from a maddened populace desperate for peace.

But don't worry. Sol Kenuk has provided you with an invitation! Infiltrate the party. You must be the last to arrive. Imperial Agents will lock you inside, and all exits will be safely secured. Nobody gets in, or out, once the party has started. Find the killik representative, and assassinate them. And, since everyone else at the party seems to be so desperate to sell the Empire to the Killiks... well. Treason must be punished. It's unlikely that everyone attending the ball will be unarmed, so killing quietly, one by one, may be the preferred option. With a bit of friendly conversation, you might even be able to turn the guests upon one another. But however you decide to go about this business, the only people that should be leaving that party alive is you.
