Ailis Drast Ailis Drast was born in a hospital in the lower levels of Coruscant in the year 130 ABY. She bore a different name and was meant for a different life. As a child she dreamed of magic, a means of escape as she imagined another life that she could never live. As a young teen she turned to science and chemistry, fascinated by its mysteries and obsessed with how she could use it to make her dreams of change come true.
Her parents were obsessed with their Drast legacy, even though they had not a damn thing to show for it. Growing up in poverty in the lower cities of Coruscant forced Ailis to survive, giving her an edge she might otherwise not have had. She slid into partying and drug dealing even as her grades stayed high, using her knowledge in chemistry to make drugs as well as medication to treat herself from a young age
A late bloomer, Ailis didn’t discover her latent force sensitivity until her last year of school. She refused to give her parents the satisfaction of knowing they had produced a force sensitive, perhaps the one thing they might be proud of her for. Instead she finished out the year, hiding her force sensitivity as she graduated with honors. That night she packed her bags and caught a transport to Sith space, where she enrolled into the Sith Academy to learn how to harness her newfound power.
