DESCRIPTION​

Internally the Aka'jor shuttle has comfortable features that make it suitable for flying through atmospheric conditions or space. These days it is a rare site to see the shuttle in use outside anywhere but Mandalorian space. They can often trace their histories back to being in the service of the Mandalorians up until the end of the Clone Wars. Literally, Aka'jor translates to 'mission carrier' and is earned considered its extensive use by the pacifist Mandalorians and the VIPs of their allies.

A simple and straightforward design, the Aka'jor was a common sight throughout Mandalorian space that was a low cost product. The absence of a hyperdrive in the stock design was not a severe drawback as people initially thought. For a long time the isolationist nature of the Mandalorians kept them from having a need to travel long distances and so the sublight limitations were usually enough for them. Furthermore its smooth traveling experience, reliability and ease of maintenance made it a hit with pacifist and warriors alike.

Compared to other shuttles, the Aka'jor is fairly mobile and fast. While outpaced by fighter craft, this is an often overlooked feature of the ship. Lacking armament, the Aka'jor relies on its agility and expert piloting along with decent shields to deal with most dangers. A long range communication suite allows passengers to stay in touch with current events across the galaxy or coordinate effectively in law enforcement operations.

One feature shared with the Kom'rk class starfighter transport was the landing position of its wings which would rotate to a vertical position. This allows the ship to take have rapid and stable take off and landing maneuvers. Many aftermarket armaments have been added to privately owned ships making them capable of self defense though these require the appropriate licensing. The ship lakes a hyperdrive making its spread across the galaxy very limited. Most models have remained within reach of Mandalorian space to this day or in the hands of private collectors.

LEGALITY​

Legal. While a symbol of an older era, the ship is pretty rudimentary and innocuous. Only adding armament or modification would alter this detail.
