ALACRITY

AFFILIATION
Rhen Var, Correlia, Marion

MANUFACTURER
Smith Durren Espaa

SIZE
30 inches

WEIGHT
1.3kg
COMPOSITION
Wood, Durasteel, thin Cortosis Coating

WEAPON TYPE
Sword

DAMAGE TYPE
Melee

DESCRIPTION
This sword is a standard arming sword, with exception to it's creation and runes. Alacrity is a single-handed sword, adorned with a wide fuller down the length of the blade. Standing at 30 inches, the blade is primarily meant for stabing as opposed to slashing. The craftsman made certain to put emphasis on balanced weight, garnering a total weight of 3lbs. The hilt hold a lobed pommel decorated with a silver wire inlay. Across the very beginnings of the blade reads "Alacrity" in Varite Runes, common symbols used as a form of written language on the planet. It is unique, however, in that it can stand up to even the energy blows of a lightsaber, albeit for a short amount of time.
LEGALITY
The weapon is legal in all systems when it is openly worn. Some systems, however, may find concealing the weapon to be illegal. As it is not a difficult weapon to conceal, considering it's size in relativity to long-swords.

INTENT
This is a basic write up for my OC's sword to clarify it's capabilities.

ADVANCED TECH
NOPE, but you probably wouldn't be running around with an identical copy.

generally advanced technology does not go in generic because it misleads people to think it is easy to acquire as a piece of generic tech. I had a ship that was in generic tech just for my personal character. It got moved to player workshop by @Loco so there would not be any confusion. Otherwise if I were you I'd just add the picture and some details in the appropriate character sheet.

I can do that easily enough, or I might just remove the advanced tag in that case.

(Not an official ruling or anything as tech isn't my thing) Honestly, this feels needlessly snowflaky given the existence of vibro-weapons. The closest thing is the Sith Swords which required a lore submission approval.

Well, as long as this weapon has no force-related or mystical/magical properties from said runes (when I read this write up I didn't see it, although I might be sleepy while writing this) and only resists lightsabers only on the count of it's phrik/cortosis properties (and not the runes or w/e), it's within the rules (a tech mod can correct me if I am wrong). Swords/melee weapons without the vibro-components are fine. And the generic tech section here is full of people's snowflake personal armor and weapons.

Perhaps I read runes and jumped to that conclusion inaccurately in which case I apologize. I read runes and then unique and assumed it was magical. Anyway, that was my only qualm with it. I wouldn't consider it "snowflakey" with how you read it. Carry on.

There's nothing wrong with the tech here, and its perfectly suited for the generitech boards. Let's keep opinions and "unofficial" tech tips to a minimum unless they're solicited or you see something actually wrong.

Then why was my ship moved to player workshop? Am I special? :D

For the same reason I moved Malons too. It was less a tech submission or reskin and more a lore article/crew roster.
