BIOGRAPHY

Amelia Antilles comes from a line of politicians. Her father Tarak Antilles served on the Court of Advisers for many years. Her mother Lira Antilles is a well known diplomat. Coming from an affluent background, Amelia has always been exposed to the highest forms of education. She was granted many opportunities to travel and sit in on political hearings not often accessible to most. As a result, she grew into a very cunning and observant woman with a bold personality. Learning from her parents, she always helped her community and fought for the rights of those that were underrepresented. As a result, she was a very popular figure among the masses.

When she was 24, her father was declining in health. As a surprising opportunity not presented easily, she was able to ascend into the Council of Advisers as its youngest member yet. Despite her age, she made it very clear that she was a force to be reckoned with. She was pivotal in advising the King at the time, though she disagreed with the Vizier quite often. She was able to get more motions and policies passed than anyone else on the Council, and it was clear she had the King's ear.

Twelve years later, the King began to decline in health and he had no heir apparent. The Council of Advisers voted the next to succeed the throne and the King himself weighed in to elect Amelia to succeed him. This move was seen as a sleight to the Vizier, who had been leading the Council for many years now. Despite his misgivings, Amelia ascended the throne and became Queen in 6,903 BBY. Amelia has yet to select a suitor.

Personality

Amelia has a cunning and clever personality. She is quick-witted and very sharp. She is well versed in politics and can usually see through schemes. She has always been known to have a bold personality and doesn't hesitate to speak her mind. At 36, she is relatively young for a Queen, but she is also not entirely set in her ways. She has a penchant for learning and always works to better herself and learn more. She, like most Alderaan citizens, loves poetry and literature. In her free time, she spends hours perusing archives and libraries to learn about the galaxy around her. A pacifist by nature, she is very hesitant to involve Alderaan in any wars.
