All in all, Omega wasn’t much different from any other Syndicate world that Aaisha had known - and its thriving underworld made it prime real estate for the Morganian to settle and pick up contracts after high-tailing it from Irith. She had even managed to pick up work as a bartender at Afterlife, and her connections with Astria and their growing operation had begun to open a whole new level of opportunities for her.

Of course, it wasn’t the establishment of her new employer where Aaisha had decided to rendezvous with her contact. Instead, the Morganian had opted to select one of the seedier cantina’s on the station - preferring to keep this specific job separate from the others. It was a job that came with an undeniable - almost daunting - amount of risk, but the potential payoff in the end made all those risks seem trivial in comparison. And, if her partner’s reputation preceded him, then she was actually confident-ish that they could pull it off.

Having arrived before her contact, Aaisha opted to snag herself a drink from the bar before finding a booth to wait at. The Morganian had arrived at the seedy cantina dressed decently casual - wearing a low-cut blouse and form-fitting jeans, alongside a leather jacket pulled over the top. Her hair was styled loosely and parted to the left - while the right side of her scalp was closely shaved. As per usual, she had a DE-10 pistol strapped to her hip - almost never arriving anywhere unarmed.

The Morganian allowed her golden eyes to casually drift across the room - her foot tapping and fingers drumming to the music that bumped in the cantina. She idly brought the glass to her lips to take a long drink, patiently waiting for the other half of this operation to arrive.

Edin was still getting used to learning more about this planet. Ever since he met Terra, it opened a world full of new jobs. The Firrerreo was dressed casually, in a simple band t shirt and some jeans. He strode into the cantina, already liking the catchy music. He caught the eye of a man here or a woman here and there as he made his way through the cantina to find his contact. The job details were about as vague as he expected, but it sounded interesting enough to pique his interest. Terra had led him to a lot of credit opportunities and he had no doubt any associate of hers would promise the same.

He spotted the woman almost at once, amusement on his face as he spotted her tapping to the beat. Clearly she wanted to get up and move instead of waiting around. The Firrerreo made his way over, flashing her a smile.

“I’d offer to buy you a drink but it appears you’ve already helped yourself,” He said as he flagged a serving droid over. It was clear that Edin always made time to relax before a job - no one could rush him when they invited him into a cantina. They could pick a less entertaining place if they wanted Edin to work the second he arrived.

He ordered himself a fruity ginger drink before turning back to the woman, “Edin,” He said with a smile before extending a hand to greet her.

For those few minutes while she waited, Aaisha allowed herself to sink into the music that thrummed through the cantina - manifesting in the way that she tapped her foot and drummed her fingers against the outside of her drink - the sound of her nails clinking against glass echoing in rhythm with the beat. As sleazy that some might’ve found the venue, the Morganian was entirely at ease amongst the crowds and the music - very clearly enjoying herself before they got right down to business.

Much to her pleasure, Edin didn’t make her wait for very long before he arrived. The Morganian glanced up from her drink as the Firrerreo spoke, her own lips tugging upwards and towards a sly grin when he commented about buying her a drink, “What can I say,” She began, her voice silken and sultry as she spoke, “I’ve never been a girl with much patience.” She tilted her head a bit. “Next round are on you, though.”

The Morganian extended her hand to shake Edin’s own, eyes like molten gold gazing up at the Firrerreo’s fine features and the smile that revealed those razor-like canines. “Aaisha,” She said smoothly, giving his hand a squeeze before releasing - fingers curling back around her glass in order to take a sip.

She waited a moment or two, allowing the droid to bring Edin whatever drink he requested. Her golden gaze turned back towards the dancefloor, her interest piqued as a new song began to play over the cantina speakers. The music flowed right through her, and the urge to get up and move was simply too tempting to deny any longer. The Morganian took a long drink from her glass before pushing herself out of the booth - running a hand through her thick hair. “I don’t know about you,” She began, glancing back towards Edin. “But I prefer to talk on my feet. Especially for a song like this.”

Her smile tugged wider. “Coming?”

Edin just barely took a sip from his drink when Aaisha abruptly got out and implied she wanted to dance. His brows rose considerably, but he wasn’t going to deny a lady a dance. The Firrerreo simply chuckled before gulping down a good amount of his drink. He scooted out of his seat but he tilted his head with a smile as he looked at her, “Don’t you think you’ll be a little hot on the dance floor with that jacket?” He asked casually, shameless about wanting to see her slide the jacket off. He wasn’t exactly known for being shy.

Regardless of what she did, Edin followed her into the dance floor. He began to sway and move to the fast paced beat. Eventually he grasped her by the hand, smiling at her as he swayed his hips and spun around. He began to dance club swing, spinning her under his hand before grasping both her hands to pull her against him into a sweetheart hold. Her back was half against his chest and he smiled, “Well you’re certainly more fun than my first meeting with your boss, so I suppose I may be more inclined to take on jobs with you guys.”

The Firrerreo laughed before releasing her out into a spin. He kept his grasp on both of her hands, swinging into a bow tie pose before spinning them both around while facing her. He twirled her again, facing her as he danced to the lively music, not afraid to swing and sway his hips.

[Aaisha glanced back over her shoulder as she migrated towards the dancefloor, the glint of amusement and playfulness dancing within her golden gaze. Business might’ve been their reason for meeting in the first place, but that didn’t mean the two of them couldn’t enjoy themselves along the way. There was no masking the smirk that worked its way onto her lips when Edin spoke, shameless and bold on all the ways that piqued her interest in that moment. She couldn’t deny being somewhat surprised by his willingness to be straight forward about his desires, and yet it wasn’t something she minded in the least.

“Perhaps,” Without a moment of hesitation, Aaisha tugged the jacket off - allowing the leather to slid off her shoulders and down her arms. She tossed it back towards the table - leaving the Morganian in the low-cut blouse she wore underneath - the tight-fitting fabric accentuating her curved and the woman’s alabaster skin. “Of course, that does leave one important question..”

The words came just as they met on the dancefloor - her hips and torso already beginning to sway to the upbeat music. She twirled beneath the Firrereo’s arm as they fell into the dance club swing, her body fluid with every step. The moment that Edin brought them into a sweetheart hold, Aaisha tilted her head to face him - leaning back against the arm that draped her shoulder and his chest. “What will you be taking off?”

She flashed a playful wink as they separated, swinging into that bow tie pose before coming to face him again. “I’d wager I’m more fun than most people you’ll meet, Edin.” She maintained her light grasp on his hand as she stepped outward, her hips swaying and rocking from side to side as she put that distance between them. Just as she reached the end of his reach, Aaisha stepped back in - lifting both of their conjoined hands and twirling beneath them. “Just so long as you can keep pace.”[/justify]

Edin grinned at her quip, glancing down at her. However, he didn’t miss a beat before responding, “Right now, I’m more concerned with keeping you on me,” He said simply as he continued the dance. He was thoroughly enjoying himself, and he was pleased to have a break from the serious operations at all times. In his line of work, he seldom had moments to just have fun.

“I don’t doubt that,” The Firrerreo said, “Most in our line of work are the broody anti social types,” He kept up easily enough - this was a dance he knew. He wasn’t well versed in a variety of dances so he would absolutely play up the one he was skilled in. Edin spun her again to face him, tugging her close as he smiled down at her.

“So why don’t you tell me a bit more about this job? The description was deceptively vague,” He spun her out into a twirl and tugged her back into his arms so her back was once against his chest. Edin kept her there briefly to hear her answer.

Aaisha’s lips tugged visibly at Edin’s response, amusement dancing in her eyes as the Firrerreo never seemed to miss a beat. “Oh, is it now?” She said smoothly, her voice a bit lower in its tone as she muttered those words. The Morganian continued to dance right along with Edin, moving across the floor in sync with the assassin. Just as their bodies came in close once again, Aaisha brought a hand to graze underneath the Firrerreo’s chin - her manicured, burgundy nails dragging from the top of his adam’s apple until they reached the tip of his chin.

“Keep it up, and you just might get your wish,” She said against his ear, her lips only inches away from his earlobe as the words were spoken.

While the club swing wasn’t exactly common back on Irith, Aaisha had been exposed to it enough recently to be able to keep pace with Edin. Astria had a known fondness for the music, and it was only nature that the Morganian had picked up on the dance routines after a while. “Most of the people in our line of work are a bore,” She said with the faintest huff, twirling beneath his arm as she spoke. “I have a feeling I won’t get bored with you any time soon, will I?” She grinned, arching a brow ever-so-slightly as he tugged her close.

The Morganian had no qualms about sinking back against the Firrerreo’s chest, tilting her head back and to the right in order to look at Edin. “How I love drawing out the suspense..” She muttered against his ear, a playful smile brushing her features. Ultimately, though, she quickly decided not to play up the vagueness any further. “Ever had the chance to visit Indupar?” She queried, swaying her hips in rhythm with the music and against the Firrerreo. “Beautiful planet, really. Good food, lovely waterfalls.. And an exceedingly wealthy royal family.” She said - a bit of clear enthusiasm bleeding into her voice as she explained the job ahead of them.

“There is scheduled to be a jewelry exhibit at the Royal Palace in three days. Priceless artifacts - centuries old and quite literally worth their weight in solid aurodium - will be put on display for members of the public to see.”
The Morganian swayed back against the Firrerreo, bringing a hand up to graze the back of his neck. “You and I will be attending that exhibit. And, if all goes according to plan, will be leaving with a few souvenirs of our own."

Edin certainly found himself in the company of women that could charm men more often than usual lately. But he knew it was always part of a game. It was a game he enjoyed nonetheless because of all the little perks. As her nails dragged along his neck and beneath his chin, she would feel a vibrating rumble that almost sounded like an inhuman purr. It was a subtle reminder that he was definitely Firrerreo and not entirely human. She just happened to discover a rather curious zone to scratch for him.

“I hope not,” He answered her simply as they kept dancing. He had no intention of boring her, not when she knew to keep pace without taking herself too seriously. Edin smiled again as she leaned in against his ear, knowing just what to do to make his blood run hot. She was an expert at this, and he had to keep reminding himself this was just how she played.

“Of course,” Edin said in response to the question about Indupar, “Has lots of shinies, diplomats to kill, and the best food,” He said with a grin as he twirled her back against himself. The Firrerreo nudged her away and looked across at her as they began to circle one another, one hand lazily holding hers.

“Do we get to play dress up with you on my arm?” Edin asked with an amused glint in his eye. They either had to go in discreetly in the middle of the night or they could pull off the job in plain sight as attendees. It all depended on the kind of connections Aaisha had.

Aaisha’s grin didn’t falter in the slightest dance - making it abundantly clear that the Morganian was thoroughly enjoying herself as they danced together. He was confident and bold in all the ways that made her blood run hot and her heart to beat just a bit faster in his chest. Despite the playful quip, the Morganian seriously doubted he would become a bore any time soon.

She didn’t miss the inhumane, almost feline purr that rolled up Edin’s throat in response to her nails grazing. It was a curious little detail, and one that certainly caught her attention for a few moments. Intentional or not, the Morganian certainly enjoyed discovering all the different layers that made up the man before her.

Just as she would’ve enjoyed peeling off a few other layers.

“So you are familiar with it,” She said smoothly, arching a brow towards the Firrerreo as he nudged her away, their eyes remaining locked as they circled around one another. The woman couldn’t help but chuckle when he asked his next question, clearly noting the amused glint in his eye. Without warning, Aaisha stepped in close and tugged Edin towards her - spinning the Firrerreo around to resume that sweetheart hold. This time, however, the Morganian had no qualms about reversing their positions in contrast to the time previous - ending with the Firrerreo’s back pressed against her chest and her arm draped across his shoulders.

“As it just so happens,” She muttered, leaning in and tilting her head - so that the sharp line of her jaw grazed against his cheek. “We do. As much as I enjoy my midnight escapades with someone as handsome as yourself, we’ll be arriving as guests this time ‘round. Quite the exclusive affair, but I'm sure that won't be a problem.” She drew back just then, twirling out of that closeness and resuming their dance across the floor. "You clean up nicely, after all."

“On the bright side - it looks like you’ll be keeping me on you after all.”
She tilted her head a bit. “For now,” A playful edge to her words.

It was a few days later and there had been some changes of plans. They weren’t going in as a ‘couple’ after all, but this angle had a greater chance of success. It was broached by him and he was thrilled Aaisha was willing to give it a go. It was the early evening of the event, and Edin arrived there ahead of time, wearing a jacket and bowtie with some black slacks. He was dressed nice even for his custodial role as was expected for an event at the palace. Edin had done some prepwork to sabotage the original worker to take his place. He came with a nametag on his chest identifying him as ‘Ron Amin’.

He had white gloves on and he was presently rolling in a cart with a white cloth over it with an assortment of covered dishes. He was walking in with a group of others from the catering company. The only difference was that he had empty crates lining the bottom half of his cart obscured by the fancy white cloth. Edin kept his head held high, nodding as he passed through a service door along with the other men and women in custodial services.

TWP_01.0.1489765232.jpg

The palace was magnificent and had people milling about in the courtyard outside and many inside. Their main host was Suraj Karimi, an ornate man that thought rather highly of himself. He was dressed in traditional Induparan attire and puffed his chest out with pride at being able to flex the riches of his family. He was strutting about like a peacock across various levels of the palace to greet the guests.

The prime jewels were in the upper level and Edin had strategically secured the cart with the appetizers and drinks so he could wander virtually anywhere for people to snag some finger foods. If Edin spotted Aaisha he wouldn’t acknowledge her especially - there was too much risk of blowing their cover. This would require both of their efforts to pull off. For now he scoped out the interior, already identifying the window that overlooked the lake below.

As a general rule of thumb, Aaisha preferred to personally plan her jobs down to the finest details. It was a bit of a cautionary habit that came from one botched experience too many, and it was a practice that often enabled the woman to pull off her contracts as clean and efficient as physically possible. Nevertheless, the Morganian wasn’t exactly opposed when Edin suggested approaching this particular heist a bit differently than she originally planned it. She had to admit, it was a good plan - and it was one that undoubtedly gave them a higher chance of actually pulling it all off.

All in all, Aaisha was completely on board with the plan. Beyond the fact that it meant she wasn’t walking in with Edin on her arm. Yet.

While her Firrerreo partner entered under the guise of the catering company, Aaisha strolled right through the gilded doors of the Palace with all the other Induparan dignitaries and nobility. Under the guise of ‘Divya Mondal’, the Morganian melted right into the crowds of Induparan elite - her exp, designer, golden attire and matching jewels blending right in with the sea of expensive fabrics and gaudy ornamentation. Her golden eyes flicked over to one of the security guards posted at the far side of the room - lingering long enough to get a good look at their position but not long enough to catch their attention.

While she certainly caught a glimpse of Edin as he passed by, the Morganian acted quite the contrary - not bothering to so much as look at the Firrerreo or anyone else from the catering company as she meandered through the room - swiping up a flute of champagne from a passing tray. In that moment, the Morganian had only a single target in mind, and she stalked through the crowds like a silent predator closing in on the kill.

“Mr. Karimi!” Finally she spotted him across the room as she ascended to one of the upper levels, strutting around like a peacock amongst the glittering lights and decorates of his own palace. The Morganian’s words were smooth and silken, golden eyes fixed onto his own as a smile tugged at the corners of her lips. “I was thrilled to hear you would be hosting this years showcase. I’ve heard all about this gorgeous palace of yours, but truly - words don’t do it justice.” She tilted her head ever-so-slightly to the side, taking a step closer. “Nor you, for that matter.”

She lifted a hand, brushing it against his arm. “Perhaps you would be willing to show me around?” The flirtatious tone in her voice was clear, even if the Morganian had other intentions entirely.

Edin, meanwhile, would indeed have virtually unobstructed access to the upper levels of the palace by virtue of the cart he pushed around. He would quickly come across the door that led into the showcase room - a window on the door giving him a brief glimpse inside. For that event along, the ornate artifacts had been put on display on multiple mannequins - the three piece of note - namely a jeweled dagger, crown and necklace - being worn or held by the life-like replicas.

A quick glance at the clock above the door would reveal they only had a grand total of twenty minutes before guests would start moving up towards the showcase room in order to actually look at the jewels. The Firrerreo would have to pull off his theft the moment that Aaisha caused her distraction - which, if all went according to plan, wouldn’t be very long at all.

Edin was not the type to go into a situation without any real planning. He had no intention of having to rush out as soon as the job was finished because that’s when things got sloppy. That’s when people made mistakes. The boxes beneath the cart were filled with plastoid replicas of the jewels and artifacts he planned to steal and push out the window and into the lake. The Firrerreo began to roll his way towards the upper levels to position himself for the guests there.

Meanwhile, Karimi was a bit of a snob. He gave a polite smile, glancing down where Aaisha brushed against his arm, “I’m sorry, have we met?” The spoiled, royal brat asked. He was certainly no different than other branches of the family - Ordalos included - where they were elitist. He didn’t want someone he didn’t personally know brushing his arm or touching him. As a result, the path to the upper levels wouldn’t be so easy to clear without some more convincing.

Edin waited nearby, but at a respectable distance, positioned to serve appetizers to anyone nearby. He would need Aaisha to do her part before he could do his.

Internally, Aaisha couldn’t help but curse a bit at the response she received from the low-ranking royal. The Morganian had hoped that flattery alone would’ve been enough to get Karimi’s attention - long enough for her to actually proceed to the next step of causing a distraction. The snobbish and undoubtedly elitist demeanor he exuded forced the Morganian to abruptly shift gears in how to approach things.

The bright, glittering smile never quite faded from Aaisha’s lips as she shook her head a bit, “Of course, where are my manners,” She extended a hand towards his own to shake. “Divya Mondal - reporter for the Consortium Herald.” She fell back upon the persona she had used to score an invitation to the showcase in the first place. Though she didn’t immediately step back or allow the charming expression to fade from her face, the Morganian didn’t make an attempt to touch him outright again after the initial reaction.

“I am authoring a piece dedicated to the showcase - and I was so hoping you might be willing to help me get to better know this palace of yours. Such a splendid venue - I would hate to leave out any detail.” She smiled a bit wider. “And who could possibly know it better than the host himself?”

“I would also love to get to know you, and hear your own thoughts on the showcase itself. I hear that quite a bit of planning and preparation went into making today a reality.”
Likely a bit of an understatement, and one that Aaisha hoped he would feel the need to elaborate on. “It was also heavily rumored that the Behera family would be hosting this year's festivities. Many of us were surprised by the change.”

If she couldn’t rely on flattery to get the job done, then perhaps appealing to the low-ranking royal’s ego and sense of superiority just might. It was no secret that the man was beaming with pride the opportunity to flaunt his family's riches and flex his own position within the aristocracy - and a front-page tabloid would’ve been - at least Aaisha hoped - an appealing prospect.

Meanwhile, Edin could very quickly find himself growing increasingly popular on the upper floors. Perhaps a bit… Too popular. While the Firrerro likely hadn’t intended to draw too much attention to himself, it didn’t take long for multitudes of guests to start gravitating in his attention - drawn by the scent that was wafting up from the cart he pushed. Before too long, Edin would find himself surrounded by a cluster of Induparan and Consortium guests on all sides - something would undoubtedly become an issue before too long.

A few moments passed, and a man finally peaked his head around the cart - squirting for a moment before looking up at Edin. “Excuse me,” He began, leaning in a bit closer than was necessary. “You wouldn’t happen to have some of those MINI BURRITOS would you? I hear they are all the rage back on Serenno.

“A reporter, hmm?” There was a shift in Karimi’s demeanor immediately. He fixed up his hair and looked around behind her, “Where is your cameraman? I’d like to get a perfect angle,” He tilted his head around a few times, “This is my best angle. I can talk about the history of the jewels and the palace and growing up here,” He smiled a charming grin, “Well, ask away and I better see some cameras on me.”

Edin heard this all go down and rolled his eyes, scoffing to himself. How the hell was Aaisha going to get around this? Meanwhile, he had guests coming up to try his samples. The Firrerreo played his role well, flashing a smile and offering up the snacks as requested. He paused at the mention of the mini burritos. They smelled very…off to him and he was going to open his mouth to detract them away from it, but he had a different idea.

“Ah yes,” He said as he offered up the plate, “In fact, would you be so kind as to deliver one or two to our gracious host Prince Karimi?”

“Oh absolutely!” The man said eagerly, grabbing a few and walking over towards the duo. If Aaisha looked over, Edin would have his gaze dart to the burritos, then shake his head to hopefully give her a hint not to eat them.

The primal urge to strangle Karimi was growing more and more tempting by the second, heist be damned. Despite the charming and pleasant smile that was plastered on Aaisha’s lips, - an expression perfectly trained after countless jobs playing different roles - it was taking a concerted effort to contain the unamused, blank stare that naturally would’ve manifested when the second-cousin-royal started tilting his head around like this was a photoshoot. Lovely as her current attire was, the Morganian was starting to believe she drew the short stick when it came to the roles her and Edin had agreed to place tonight.

“Why of course,” She said smoothly, lifting a hand and gesturing up towards the upper floor of the palace. “My attending cameraman is already waiting up above for us,” The crowd was thick enough that a simple glance wouldn’t be enough to confirm that Aaisha was full of shit. At that moment, she just needed to improvise until she could figure out how to address the situation. “In fact..”

She lifted a hand towards Karimi’s jaw. She stopped short of actually touching him, but gestured for the princeling to tilt his head a slightly different angle - her gaze flicking up to one of the windows on the top floor as well. “In my professional opinion, I quite think your best shot would in front of those stained glass windows up above.” She brought a finger to tap her chin. “The colors of the glass would really make the hazel in your eyes ‘pop’. And the natural light would do wonders to contore your natural jawline.. Very regal, wouldn't you say?” She added, giving a confident nod at the end of her suggestion.

God, these jewels better make me a fortune..

She gestured for them to begin walking as they talked. “Lets start with the jewels themselves! If I have my facts straight, the sword on display here tonight is the very same one that was forged for the ascension ceremony of King Pranav in 16 BBY - only a short year before his unjust murder by the Empire. Tell me - how your family come to acquire the dagger after his death?”

At roughly the same time, the burrito-bearing courtier began to work his way down the stairs - only after wolfing down one of the bean-and-cheese filled delicacies himself. “Excuse me, My Lady - Mr. Karimi,” He extended the plate. “Courtesy of the catering.”

Aaisha glanced up just in time - golden eyes shifting from the man and over to Edin as the Firrerreo shook his head. She blinked once or twice, the dots finally connecting in her mind. “Oohhh,” The Morganian said, gesturing down to the burritos. “I hear these are quite popular amongst the Serrennan aristocracy.” She added, hoping that would be enough motivation for the princeling to snag one. “I fear I am too full to partake myself, though.”

She glanced around. “It seems they are quite popular with the other guests, as well.” There was already several others who had ordered burritos for themselves, but it was a message to Edin just as well if he was paying attention. If the smell was anything to go off of, getting as many courtier’s as possible to partake might’ve been just the kind of distraction she was hoping for.

It struck almost at once. The guest began to have beads of sweat appear on his forehead. Soon enough, Karimi looked the same. The men continued to chat, even as their stomachs began to make some unholy noises. It was only a matter of moments before their rear ends did the same. They only talked louder to muffle it, plastering forced smiles on their faces. Meanwhile, Edin bolted away faster than Severus Creed did away from shampoo, disappearing out of sight by the time Aaisha looked up again. He had no intention of guests turning around to wonder what mysterious snack caused this sudden ailment.

As if on cue, one of the women walked over and promptly vomited into a potted plant, resulting in a collective gasp all around.

“Why I never!” Karimi began, only to clasp his mouth abruptly as his eyes went wide. A long, squeaky noise that would’ve caused Pootalina to shed a tear escaped him in a perfectly high G note. He looked at Aaisha, screeching at her, “DON’T RECORD THIS! DON’T FILM ME!” He frantically looked around for a place to escape and would listen to anything at that point.

Meanwhile, Edin rolled his cart quickly over to the upper levels and towards the jewelry room. None of the guests had made it up here yet, so he simply waltzed past the open doors. The Firrerreo glanced over his shoulder before closing the doors behind him, trusting Aaisha to keep everyone from coming upstairs.

He got to work rapidly to replace the artifacts, knowing he had limited time as the drama unfolded downstairs.

Aaisha was a mixture of disgusted, internally pleased and impressed by the lethality of those burritos when unholy noises began to echo through the palace ballroom - the natural acoustics of the building transformed the cacophony of high-pitched ass-squeaks and baritone rumbles into a medley of sound straight out of a Coruscanti opera. The Morganian briefly glanced up towards Edin, only to find the Firrerreo had already vanished. She didn’t have to guess where he went.

It took no small amount of skill and finesse to maintain a mostly straight face when Karimi began to frantically search for a place to escape to - even going to far as to look sympathetic and start to glance around herself. “DON’T WORRY!” She said back frantically, despite the fact she had subtly tapped on the record feature of her commlink. “Downstairs!” She finally said, the expression on her face appearing as if the thought had only just then come to her. “The bathrooms just downstairs and to the left!” To her credit, she wasn’t actually lying about the fact that there were bathrooms in that general direction.

But she also said it loud enough for several other guests to overhear.

Once Karimi and a flock of others had begun frantically swarming downstairs, Aaisha turned on a heel and began to make her way up towards the next floor - ascending the marble staircase that led to the top floor. She moved quickly, reaching the top before any large number of guests could start going in that direction.

Of course, it didn’t take long for them to start doing exactly that. Golden eyes fixed onto a strapping young courtier that rushed up the staircase, the panicked expression on his face and the long, wet thundering coming from his rear indicating that the burrito’s had struck home. She immediately placed a hand on his shoulder, a sympathetic expression on her face. “All the bathrooms on this floor are out of order. You’ll have to try downstairs.”

A string of profanities in native Induparan followed as the man vaulted back down the stairs. And just as Aaisha hoped, several others followed close behind him.

She glanced back over her shoulder and towards the jewelry room, glancing back to see if Edin had emerged with his cart yet.

Edin had all the time in the world to replace the artifacts, and he rolled the cart back out of the display room. For all intents and purposes, it would simply appear as if he were making his way back down since no one was upstairs. The Firrerreo came out to a mostly empty area with some guests milling about in confusion with the missing host and a swarm of people hiding away in the bathrooms.

Edin moved up near Aaisha when he spotted her, though he didn’t face her directly. He blinked at the sight, “Do you have anyone you can call in for a pickup at the service entrance? We… may not even need our elaborate plan,” He muttered while still gazing ahead. He knew how to make a discreet exit through the side area used by catering, and with the scandal and chaos that had everyone chattering or actual reporters now coming in to talk about the incident, they had a window of escape.

“Make it fast,” Edin said abruptly as one of the guests began to turn and look towards him. If anyone pointed him out, it was game over. He had to book it with the cart as soon as possible. He got a head start towards the service door, once again hoping that Aaisha could reroute their contacts to pick them up in a speeder instead.

A few short minutes passed, and Aaisha continued to linger near the edge of the stairwell - golden eyes cast down towards the chaos that unfolded below. While Edin made out like a bandit in the showcase room, the Morganian couldn’t help but marvel at just how well the improvised burrito-attack had worked. Of all the different factors she had considered upon arrival that night - the different methods of approach and ways to give them an opening - this, most certainly, hadn’t even been close to a consideration.

The Morganian swiped a flute of champagne from an unattended tray as she watched - her foot lightly tapping against the marble floor. While she caught sight of Edin approaching out of her peripheral vision, the woman didn’t immediately turn to face him - keeping her gaze ahead while she spoke. “I didn’t exactly account for chemical warfare being the methodology tonight.. But yes, I do.” The Morganian had taken steps to ensure they had a get-away driver scheduled to make a speedy escape from the palace.. Though not entirely aligning with how things had unfolded, and it would require her rerouting their contact quickly.

“I’ll only be a minute,” She said, walking in the opposite direction as the Firrerreo and vaguely in the direction of the guest that had singled him out. She knew that no one could intercept Edin, and her top priority was ensuring the dude had no one on his tail. As she walked, there was a crinkled expression on her face and an almost sickly gait to her steps - a hand coming to rest over her stomach as if she too was starting to feel queasy. The moment she began to pass the guest, Aaisha abruptly veered and walked right into the woman - the arm holding her flute of champagne wrapping subtly around the courtier’s shoulder while Aaisha’s head tilted back her shoulder. Without warning, the Morganian heaved and mimicked the sound of vomiting - at the same time tilting that flute of champagne down the woman’s back. Given the angle, the woman wouldn’t be able to see what had happened - but Edin certainly would if he glanced back over his shoulder.

“O-Oh, I am so so sorry!” Aaisha said apologetically, the queasy look on her face never fading as she brought a hand up to cover her face. The woman looked horrified, letting out a screech as liquid soaked into her expensive fabric and dripped down her spine - a string of profanities escaping from her lips and a middle finger tipped towards the Morganian as she stormed off in the direction of the nearest bathroom. And a line that wrapped around the corner.

With that problem out of the way, Aaisha quickly strolled her way towards one of the side exits to the palace - bringing up her NalPhone, opening an encrypted channel and sending a series of messages to the freelancer that they had hired to drive the getaway vehicle. While the Morganian typically preferred to work with droids in this respect.. They had to make due. Within minutes, the Morganian reemerged from around the outside of the building - intercepting Edin just as the Firrerreo exited himself, entering the loading area where several of the catering vans were parked. With most of the food staff still inside and handling the event, they had a moment with no other eyes on them.

“Contact is in route,”
She said simply, glancing back at the side exit. No one had followed them quite yet, but they still had moments to burn before their driver arrived.

As Aaisha walked away and doubled over a bit, Edin appeared a bit alarmed. Her ‘act’ was very convincing and for a moment he wondered if she actually did eat one of the snacks. He had no intention of sitting next to her in a speeder if that were the case because he knew by now that the burrito attacked from both ends. The Firrerreo was too busy looking ahead of himself for anyone approaching him to look over his shoulder. As a result, he heard the very convincing yakking and knew for certain Aaisha’s dumbass probably ate the damn burrito. Not wanting to wait around to see her dress acquire some new tonal patterns in the back, he quickly shuffled off.

He decided he was on his own and went out the service exit regardless. He couldn’t risk being slowed down with this new variable to the equation. Edin wasn’t one to get nervous easily, but by now he was definitely feeling levels of anxiety. He cast aside the outer jacket of his uniform along with the name tag, leaving his gloves on for now.

Edin was pulling out his own NalTech phone to make some calls when he saw Aaisha round the corner. And to his surprise, she wasn’t sweating profusely or violently shitting herself. The Firrerreo eyed her suspiciously as she arrived, “You… didn’t eat a burrito?” He blurted out, “That was all an act?” His eyebrows rose as he actually clapped and applauded, “That was a damn good performance,” He grinned, flashing those lethal fangs again.

It wasn’t long before their ride arrived and the chaos inside the palace continued. Edin hopped in and waited for Aaisha to join, “I hope you know, I’m getting a much bigger cut of the profits after I had to do virtually all of the work. All you did was look cute and pretend to puke,” He chuckled at the sequence of events, but his gaze lingered on her for a moment to let her know he was damn serious.

In any case, the job was done and his bank account would be that much fuller.
