Hi, I'm a new member here. In this for writing improvement - hopefully a better understanding of characters interacting and making engaging ones to boot. Plus I love star wars, so that's a bonus.

I've got a fair amount of RP experience, I was part of a site for about 2 years. Might have a bit of an issue with battles though, so if you could bear with me in those situations I'd really appreciate it.

(P.S - is there a good place to get images for armored characters? I have a bit of a worry that someone will have used some of the ones I want to use.)

Welcome! I imagine someone more prepared to handle new folks will pop in after me in about 15 minutes with the tenbajillion links you'll need, so there's that. We're okay I guess.

As for pictures, either commissioning your own or just using DeviantArt if you're broke (like me) work equally well. Throw questions at us; we know things!

Sorry, we don't have face claim on CP images so my best advice on image front would be good ole DeviantArt. Or you can bribe some of the forum artsy folks to draw you whatever it is.

Here are some important threads and boards you will want to read:

• The Story: Dawn of the Republic
• Faction Territories
• The Republic (faction leader is TAC)
• The Sith Brotherhood (faction leader is Sapphire Storm)
• The Jedi Knights (faction leader is Bauren)
• Role-Playing Rules
• Guide to Force Powers

Those should pretty much be everything you want (or don't want) to read to become well-versed in the things and stuff! Feel free to shoot me or literally anyone else a PM if you have any questions. Especially @Padmé. She loves being spammed with questions.

Welcome! I was on swtor rp section since it started to when it got wiped. not sure if you were there too.
With regard to how to get started, i know it can be overwhelming (this site is probably more active than any other rp site i've been a part of) but it's very well moderated and pretty much everyone is chill (except @Padmé , she can be a bit of a ball buster. Just kidding, you're great! This is awkward already... Please don't hurt me again!)

My advice, since i've only been here a few weeks and was in your shoes not long ago, is to read the rules, check out the different faction (including the independent ones) and have fun! Looking forward to seeing what your creativity has to offer here. I'm sure you'll be a welcome contribution. :) Feel free to pm me for any help too. I don't know everything, but i've read a lot and have a good grasp.
