Ever since he was a child Caynic had looked towards the sky in admiration of the cosmos, enchanted by the stories it had to offer. But if there was one thing he’d learned on his journey to become a Jedi, it was that the view on the ground couldn’t possibly beat flying through it yourself. His eyes scanned across the dashboard of his BD-510, eyeing a familiar cluster of planets and stars. Caynic knew this section of the Galaxy better than most, Tatooine was a neighboring planet of Naboo, and as a child he’d often looked at famous two suns through the lense of a telescope.

The sense of being so close to the home he’d left behind wasn’t one he was particularly fond of but also one he wasn’t particularly capable of avoiding given his current circumstances. The Order had sent him and a group of Padawn’s to several planets trusting them to find their Kyber Crystals, and build their own sabers. The lightsaber was the trusted tool of the Jedi, and the honor of building one was something most Jedi only experienced once. Naturally the bookworm and historian in Caynic was incredibly honored to be able to partake in something such as this.

The descent to the planets surface had nearly finished, and with a smile on his face Caynic would flip the switch to his intercom, causing a hum of static to radiate throughout the ship before being followed by his voice. “If you’re sleeping, get up and get ready we’re about to land.” he’d flick the switch again and his voice would cut out almost as quickly as it had apparated, while he resumed focus on landing the ship.

To his credit, the black haired padawan was an excellent mechanic… He’d spent roughly a fourth of his life working in a hangar bay as a one, and most would naturally assume that piloting went hand in hand with such a skill. Most would assume incorrectly, which was made apparent as the hull of the BD-510 somewhat aggressively dug itself into the dirt. The jolt was more than enough to knock anyone who hadn’t been harnessed into a seat off their feet. “Sorry!” He’d shout as he unharnessed himself, relieved to see that no warning lights had activated as a result of the botched landing.
