The AI spoke and Lyra frowned, working faster as she fastened several bolts to ensure the joints were connected but yet mobile enough for the droid to have adequate movement. However, with her and Newton working together, they would be able to power up the security droid in time; as Newton activated the batteries, Lyra walked around to stand next to him. The droid towered over the both of them and Lyra looked in awe at the solid security unit. The redhead had a small grin in the short success, though the next issue would be getting the droid set up for the ambush.

Newton gave the droid orders and it followed on command, the door opened and KX-21 went into the hall, hiding in the shadows as directed. As the droid left, Lyra sealed the door, passing by a concerned M7 as he went to hide himself from the commotion that was about to spread through the basement. The redhead then took cover near the terminals as the computer announced the positions of the intruders, giving herself a clear view and therefore a clear shot at anyone would come through the door.

Within seconds the two would hear blaster fire and yelling, clearly signaling the KX unit was doing its job. Lyra held her breath, listening closely as there was pounding on the door as someone was trying to get away and get inside the lab and away from their unexpected guest. Lyra kept low, but was able to still see the top of Newton's head from across the lab, the anticipation to see who would get through was uneasy. It was certain the cyborg had the best chance to get into the lab with them.

The blaster fire slowed and the yelling seemed to stop and suddenly there was several loud thumps against the door, each one getting stronger and the door begun to bow until the magnetic lock gave and entered the cyborg. Sparks from the security droid behind made for a dramatic entrance. It looked from Lyra's position to Newtons position, but before it could calculate where to shoot first, Lyra started unloading her blaster into the flesh portions of the monster.

Newton was in position, he was ready, his heart was racing as they were getting ready for the ambush. When it was time, blaster bolts started flying. His heart contuined to race, he is hardly ever in these combat situations and the way that Cyborg was unloading into a magnetically sealed door. Unreal. Proof that flesh really is weak.

Newton would would start firing at the two goons the Cyborg brought along while he's busy pounding at the door. They would be easier to take down he imagines and that will be two less sources of blaster bolts flying around. The KX droid did a pretty good job of drawing out blaster fire if anything. But it wasn't fully repaired, so it was taking damage faster than it should. Sparks would hiss from the droid before too long, but Newton would use this chance to fire blaster shots at one of the flunkies, taking them down before taking cover again. The other one is still forced to deal the KX droid that's closing in. KX would take damage, almost nearing the span of it's health, but with quick shots, Newton would manage to take down the last one.

That only leaves one more, the cyborg that's leading the goons here.

The cyborg was taken surprise by one of them still in the lab, he had almost no time to react to the Lyra's shots. He would defend himself on reflex. His armor would take the first shot, then he would cross his arms and his cybernetic limbs would project a little ray-shield buckler, similar to the armor function. Which would absorb a bit more damage before failing then having his his bare cybernetic arms cross to defend himself. His limbs would hold out, they are durable. Newton was still in cover by he was amazed in how this was happening. Still, he would raise his blaster and then fire at the guy's back. One shot hit his armor, and the rest connected with his flesh, making a scorched hole in it, he would grunt in pain, but he's still trying to stay up. This guy's tough, even in the fleshy areas...

But now that it's 3 vs 1, the cyborg, although impressive, this isn't a favorable match for him. KX would have finished gotten close, and then KX punched the cyborg in the face, with metal fists of it's own. It would connect, the Cyborg would be sent down. Newton isn't quite sure if it's dead or alive. But then he saw KX beginning to slump over. Looks like the disrepair and damage caught up with it...

"You alright Lyra?" he called out, now that the fighting seems to be over. He would move closer, blaster still raised, cautious to make sure the big guy to verify the big cybernetic man is dead.

A few of her bolts made contact with the cyborg, a small grin formed as the corner of her lip curled upward in her satisfaction for hitting the monster. She was not in a mood to listen to a sob story of his misfortune background and was glad that Newton was able to find his chance to fire onto the partial droid-alien hybrid. It was relentless as it fought for its own self-preservation, however, KX was not finished as it begun to punch the cyborg until one went down completely, and the other started to lose power to its functions.

Lyra came out from her hiding spot approaching the cyborg along with Newton who seemed cautious of the creation that now laid unmoved on the tile floor. The redhead held her blaster ready, uncertain if it were dead or alive, however, she felt it would be safer dead as she unloaded several bolts into the back of the cyborg, ensuring it would be well dead and no longer a threat. The teen was certain she had seen what happened when you didn't make sure monsters were dead in horror holo-films.

Smoke wisped from the wounds in its back and Lyra glanced at Newton before tapping the cyborg's jaw with her toe.

"Yeah, I'm fine now." she nodded, "Are you ok?" she then asked, assuming he was physically fine, but mentally even she was reeling from the experience. Once she knew Newton was ok, she turned her attention to the security droid, patting its broad shoulder in gratitude for its service. She looked at Newton and then back to the terminal where LTPIA resided, wondering what to do with such a powerful computer; she felt it would a disservice to leave it as is, or shut it down. Lyra had a soft spot for droids and the technology they relied upon, sentience was complicated, and now facing the fate of the AI.

"What should we do with LPTIA?" she asked Newton.
