Another Step in Life

[Tristyn]

"Yeah.....don't buy them any pets please", once again, Ray was just joking, but hopefully Maia will see that. Her finger started to go dumb from Cain using it as a dummy. "I'm getting hungry....let's get some fruit" She got up and picked Cain up from the bed she was sitting on and carried him to the 'main' room. Here she sat him down and allowed him to go about his business while she fixed up a meal for herself,"Do you want something? I don't know if you're hungry or not"

 

[Rae Anne Jarrus]

Maia giggled. "Not until they're old enough." she said clearly knowing that she was joking. She agreed with Rayla on the fact that they were hungry. She walked over with Tamara in her arms and put her with Cain when Ray asked her if she wanted anything. "That'd be great, I'm starving. I'm not too picky, so whatever you have, I'll have." she stated.

 

[Tristyn]

"Alrighty! I'm glad you're not picky. I hope you rub off on them", she began to dish up for herself from leftovers in the fridge. Once she was done she moved onto making something for her friend,"By the way, if it's not salad, I can't make it"

 

[Rae Anne Jarrus]

Maia smiled. "Perfectly fine with me. I haven't had a salad in a long time." she said with another smile. She watched as Rayla was working on getting some leftovers for herself and then went on to make something for Maia.

 

[Tristyn]

"Here...you...go!", she turned around and gave Maia her plate plate, before taking her own and sitting down on her bed/couch to eat. She silently ate her food and wondered where Adun was. It was a lot quieter now that they kids had slept, they were calmly playing under the coffee table with some really old stuffed toys that used to belong to Anara, that was given to her by her parents. It pained her to remember what she told her poor, old parents. That their favoured daughter got captured by the Sith. She dwelled on these thoughts for sometime while she ate.

 

[Rae Anne Jarrus]

"Thank you Rayla." she smiled as she accepted the plate and followed her over, sitting down with her to eat. Maia started taking small bites of the salad until she really tasted it and she felt like she was in heaven. "Ray, this is awesome." she complimented her on the salad she gave her.

 

[Tristyn]

Ray turned and smiled,"Thanks..." She was glad to have her thoughts return to reality,"Adun bought the fruits from - wait where the hell is he!!??" She gobbled up the last bit of her food in rush, she was still her old self really, and got up to find her holoprojector. She scrambled around the 'house' and nearly turned it inside out until she finally found it. She turned it on and waited for Adun to answer her call,"This guy has been gone long enough!!"

Maia smiled back in response as she munched down even more on the salad. As Rayla started to explain where Adun got the fruits, she went off course, finishing up her food as she then left Maia and practically tore the place apart. She giggled slightly, finishing up her salad as she then went to help Rayla go find the projector, but she had seemed to have already found it.

 

[Algarus]

"Please, there has to be something you can do. Are you sure?" Adun pleaded with the store owner to no avail. "There is nothing more I can do. Two days maximum is what I need, that's the best I can do." Adun heard his com begin to beep so he pulled it out and found that Ray was calling him. He swore silently to himself before answer. "One second sorry." He said as he set the Akkul down and turned away from the Togruta as he answered the call. "Hey Ray. Is everything okay?" He spoke nervously. He knew she wouldn't be happy that he still wasn't home.

 

[Tristyn]

"Yeah everything's fine. I just need you to buy a droid on Corellia for me please. These children are a lot of work and I have only had like an hour free time. It must be one that can take care of babies. I like the TC-4 series. Oh and.....where are you?"

 

[Algarus]

"Oh you know.....places.... And you know Corellia is owned by the empire right? I might be able to order something though. I hope they arent giving you and Maia too much trouble. I'll be home soon. Just taking care of some things."

 

[Tristyn]

"Adun, since when does the Empire stop us from doing what we want? Get the bloody droid. Please!", she sighed and turned off the holoprojector. She put away in a cupboard, soon to be forgotten, and sat down next to Maia again. "So....do you have a boyfriend?"

 

[Rae Anne Jarrus]

Maia was listening to the whole conversation giggling after Rayla hung up the holoprojector. When Rayla sat back down next to her, she asked if Maia had a boyfriend. She laughed slightly before responding. "Oh, no I don't have a boyfriend. No guys have been attracted to me since the first time they all saw me fight. Theyre now just scared of me." she responded thinking of the guys that ran away from her when the saw her.

 

[Tristyn]

Ray smiled, she used to be in the same situation,"Oh the same with me. Just that I think Adun is too scared to leave me. He knows what I'll do"

 

[Rae Anne Jarrus]

Maia giggled at what Rayla said before responding. "I think that's why guys are afraid of me. They saw what happened when a sith tried to kiss me. They thought the same would happen to them if they ever tried anything. Plus the look on my face wasn't very sweet either."

 

[Tristyn]

Ray shot her a weird look of surprise,"W-Wha....a Sith tried to kiss you. Why, where, how. What happened?!?" It least she wasn't the strangest person on the ship. She and Maia were very much alike.

 

[Rae Anne Jarrus]

She giggled again seeing Rayla's face. "He captured me once. He had been watching me as kids but I never accepted him because I never liked him. So we got into a fight not too long ago and a bunch of the boy Jedi were around. Well, he ended up capturing me and interrogated right there in front of the Jedi. The masters were there too and they had disapproving looks on their faces. So I pulled out my lightsabers as he got very very close to kissing me. I ignited them after I ducked underneath his arm to get away from him and then I cut his head off." she said with a smirk.

 

[Tristyn]

Ray stared at her in awe the whole way through, it was a really odd story,"You were interrogated by a Sith.....while there were other Jedi around you....um.....yeah the Jedi of today are real shallow. Oh that just reminds me of ... you know who" She was referring to her sister and her cowardly master. That really troubled at her at times, but she got used to it over time, but every now and then someone had to remind her.

 

[Rae Anne Jarrus]

"Well, I did what I had to." she said before realizing who she was talking about. "Oh, yeah, Anara." she responded. "Plus the other Jedi that were there, were a few boys that were ordered to come with me on the mission. And they were held back by troopers. Extensively trained troopers." she responded.

 

[Algarus]

Adun sighed and put his comm away. He wasn't sure if she was upset or not. "Love you too". He muttered to himself before turned back toward the store owner. "So if I come back in two days will it be done? It's going to take me a day to get to Corellia and back, then I can just stay another day before coming back. Will that work?" The elderly Togruta only smiled faintly and nodded. "I'll start working on it right away, when you come back I'll have the chain selection for you to pick out." Adun nodded and reached into his pocket and pulled out his credit pouch. "So how much do I owe you for this?" "This one.... I'll do for free." Adun stopped and looked up at him. "F-free? Are you sure? I mean I can pay whatever-" "No, I won't charge you. Save credits for your family. Besides your women is going to be upset if she ever realizes how much you spent on this." The older alien nudged Adun's arm. "Trust me, it happens." The padawan rubbed his neck nerviously. "I....I don't know what to say.... Are you sure?" "Yes, yes I'm sure. Now go. Your keeping me away from my work." With some effort that the elderly shopkeeper lifted the dead creature off the ground and slung it over his shoulder. Adun nodded and left, but not before thanking the shop keeper. "Thanks again! I'll be back soon!" As Adun faded into the distance, the shopkeeper chuckled to himself before going to work.
