[Darth Draugr]

Ansion, Independent Space, 1644 Hours

(OOC: 10 am cst is cut off for Jedi forces to join)

It was time for Draugr to get back into the swing of action. He gathered Sith forces readying them for battle. It would be a surprise for the receiving forces on the planet of the planned attack made by the Lord Zabrak. The target this time was Ansion. This planet was known for trade routes. These routes would bring many strategic advancements to the Sith as well as territory for new bases. The Empire would set it's eyes on the planet as it was time for a fight.

Forces in the form of Draugr's dreadnought, four destroyers, two cruisers, and a fleet of star fighters came out of hyperspace into the orbit of the planet and initiating the battle. Troops began boarding breeching parties for the other ships as other would set sails to the planet's surface to begin the mission of taking the capital, and their leader's head. The Sith leave no mercy in battle nor does Draugr. He quickly boarded a ship making it's way to the surface to begin the fight for the planet's control. Other Sith would be joining him as well.

Landing on the planet, he would follow behind the troops exiting the ship and beginning his march to the capital building that stood three hundred meters from the Lord. It would be sure that Jedi, or even FWA forces would want to make good ties with the planet in it's defense. Though it would futile, Draugr was out for blood. No care who stands in his way. As the troops would blast down security forces and any citizens defending the planet, Draugr would call to the other Sith on comms,

"Today we fight for our Empress and our Empire. Failure is never tolerated. I expect victory today."

As he would let his comms go, he would rally his troops and fellow Sith on the ground,

"FOR THE EMPIRE!!"

[Vex]

Vex was not a Lord. She was not out for blood. She was here because her Empire needed her, and because Ansion would almost certainly at come in handy as the convergence of a number of trade routes that would cut the Free Worlds Alliance off from places like Glee Anselm, Namadii, and Rago. But that didn't mean she had to march in a straight line for the capitol building. When her dropship landed and deposited her on the planet's surface, it did so a few streets over from where Darth Draugr's main line of troops were marching.

Vex herself only had a small force. About forty soldiers tops. Her job was more simple than the Lord's. She was to control the side-streets. Keep any enemy combatants from interfering with the main column. "I want you men to sweep these buildings," she commanded of her small squad. "Get snipers on the roofs, and a few in the windows lining the street. I want every blindspot covered."

The men gave a rousing YES MA'AM. But before all of them could do their job, she signaled to two of them. "You two stay with me," she commanded. "We'll sweep the street. Nothing gets past us to the main column, am I crystal clear?"

Another, slightly less rousing YES MA'AM.

Then she brought out one of her lightsabers and lit it. Its red glow was a signal to civilians to stay away from her. It was also a symbol of authority to her men. But for Vex, it was readiness. The Jedi could show up—or they may not. The Alliance could show—or it might not. But she was not going to be caught off-guard and unprepared this time. @Scoobert @Altaris

 

[Darth Tempest]

Ever since the bombing of the Dromund Kaas Academy, Vahliri had been in a foul mood. In one fell swoop, the half-Annfyn had lost the place that had been her home since joining the Empire - and gone with it were the memories and sense of comfort that it brought her. And for all the ways that Vahliri was still heartbroken and grappling with the attack, she was furious in equal parts - the rage never quite subsiding within her since that day.

She was out for blood, and she wanted to make the Galaxy pay for what had happened on Dromund Kaas. As a result, the half-Annfyn was all-too-eager when she received the summons to accompany Lord Draugr to Ansion. While a relatively unimportant pastoral world, Ansion’s true value came in the fact that it lied on the confluence of multiple trade routes, and seizing it for the Empire would be a monumental blow to what remained of the Free Worlds Alliance. A first step on the path to striking back.

She stepped down the ramp of the shuttle and towards the surface of Ansion - falling in line slightly behind and to the left of Lord Draugr. The half-Annfyn was dressed in her usual black-and-red Sith robes - the armorweave and cloth providing her some basic protection, while the

Crystal Vambrace from Zakuul was pulled up her left arm. The hood of her robes was pulled up to shroud the upper hemisphere of her face, while the girl’s black hair was pulled back into a long braid that draped across her shoulder. As per usual, the half-Annfyn’s perfume lightly scented the air where she tred - a bit of her preening that she refused to omit even before battle.

Even with the aural dampeners that the half-Annfyn wore, every sound on the battlefield was amplified to a degree - the rallying cry from the Sith troopers and Lord Draugr echoing loudly in her fluted ears. Vahliri returned the rallying cry, though kept her amber eyes straight ahead and towards the enemy front lines. After a moment or two, she finally drew the curved saberhilt from her waist - igniting the crimson blade with a snap-hiss.

[Edaara Tonor]

Edaara had barely recovered from her experience on Yavin IV when she had received notification of a Sith invasion on Ansion. She knew Ansion was a valuable trading route and connected by hyperspace routes to Glee Anselm and Namadii among others. She hoped other Jedi would come, to stop the Sith's ruthless expansion.

She stared up into the sky out a window from inside the capitol building. A dreadnought, four destroyers, two cruisers, and a fleet of star fighters came out of hyperspace and opened fire on the planet. Transports carrying most likely Sith headed for the planet and Edaara felt a mixture of fear and foreboding as they landed.

She turned away from the window, resting her hand on her lightsaber strapped to her belt. She felt the dark side pressing closer, and she reached further into the light, letting it embrace her until she seemed almost to glow. It was time to face the Sith.

[Tiberius Fenric]

Ansion. A world of rolling plains, grassy fields, and wide valleys. Its proximity to the hyperspace routes made it a strategic planet for whoever controlled it. Tiberius had been sent to the planet just a few days ago to help secure an alliance between the Jedi and the leaders of the planet.

Tiberius was in the capital building where talks with the planetary leaders were beginning to wrap up when the unmistakable sight of sith ships could be seen in the sky above. Tiberius looked out a window. Smaller ships could be seen descending to the surface of the planet. Among the troops Tiberius spotted three sith, one of which was Darth Draugr. Tiberius had encounter him once before on the planet of Ithor. However, he had not been tasked with fighting the lord at that time.

Tiberius turned and faced the leaders of the planet. “What better way to start an alliance than by repelling an invasion together.” He turned and began heading for the elevators. “Let’s go.” He said to his fellow jedi (@Reylo4evr ). “There is work to be done.” He entered the elevator and it began to descend. He stripped off his traditional jedi robe, revealing the light armor that he wore beneath it.

His robe fell to the ground and the doors of the elevator opened to the main level of the building. As the knight exited the building he called his lightsaber to his hand. The yellow blade ignited and the Jedi entered the fray, fighting with the forces of Ansion to fend off the invading forces. However, Tiberius was ever mindful of the approaching sith, ready to engage with them when the time was right.

[Caris Orlan]

Caris had gotten his ass kicked. Ossus had fallen because of his foolishness. He had lost focus and that cost him dearly. He would not be so foolish again. The Shadow waited in the same room as Tiberius and Edaara. They’d come to secure friendship with Ansion and ended up with a war instead. It didn’t much matter. That was why he was here. He joined Tiberius and Edaara in the lift down to the first floor. Walking a few paces to Tiberius left as they exited the building. All the while he kept his senses open, and his mind spread wide. There was no telling what attacks might more. Already the planetary defenses engaged the Sith and the Jedi stood ready to defend. As always.

[Darth Draugr]

As Draugr made his way toward the capital building, he noticed three Jedi step out and prepare to defend a planet that hadn't any ties with the Jedi currently. They were always so eager to put their lives on the line for worthless people who hadn't any affiliation to them. No gain from it other than stopping expansion for the Sith. It was pathetic really when you think about it. Though in spite of it all, Draugr would ready himself.

A deep breath came as he noticed them prepare to fight, and then his aura would be filled with the force as it would be time to play the defensive. Three Jedi to the two Sith in the area were not good odds, and he would need Vahliri to do the same. Draugr's blade would ignite as he held it in his right hand and took a defensive stance with a slight bend to the knees andhis blade outward in front of him. They were predictable, a force trick of some sort always came first. He had seen Caris in combat and he was fast, Tiberius was a well trained fighter as well. He remembered them from Ithor, though this other Jedi was new to him, he knew he couldn't take Jedi training for granted.

Draugr would also have sent a beacon out to other Sith forces, calling them to his location, he needed to hold off the Jedi to allow other Sith in the area to arrive and fight the good fight. Til then it was the Zabrak and the Annfyn ready to take on these Jedi lackeys and eventually the planet.

"Stay focused Vahliri, use your training. We play defense.. for now."

[Vex]

While her troops swept the streets and held buildings in the city, Vex had joined up with the main column, walking slightly behind and to the right of Lord Draugr. She had both of her red lightsabers lit, tightly gripped in both hands, and had set her sights on the green-skinned Jedi girl (@Reylo4evr). If they were going to fight, three-on-three, there might as well be a battle of the girls.

But she took the Lord Zabrak's meaning.

She would make no rash moves yet. Instead, she would continue advancing towards the young Jedi girl, lightsabers at the ready to defend herself should the Jedi make a move. She also used the opportunity to call the Force to her. Vex wanted to have power at her fingertips and in her hands when the Jedi made their move. [Darth Tempest]

Moments ticked by, and Vahliri didn’t immediately move from Lord Draugr’s side - honeyed eyes hardened and fixed onto the horizon, scanning the enemy front lines. It didn’t take the half-Annfyn to spot the trio of Jedi who had taken up the defense of the planet - immediately causing her fingers to curl just a bit tighter around her saberhilt.

Vahliri heard the words of Lord Draugr, but promptly decided that she wasn’t just going to wait for the enemy to throw whatever they had at her. Facing a fully-fledged Jedi Knight, Vahliri was going to seize every advantage she could get.

Taking a single step forward, Vahliri reached out with the Force - invisible tendrils of energy building around her fingertips before snaking outward and coiling tightly around Tiberius’ lower legs. With an abrupt rip of her arm, Vahliri attempted to rip the ground right out from under the Jedi and his feet to be yanked forward - hopefully knocking him onto his ass and catching him off-guard.

Regardless of whether her attempt was successful, Vahliri rapidly moved to close the distance between them - curved saber held on a defensive guard and crystal vambrace positioned towards her center mass in order to incept any incoming attack.

“You are going to regret coming here,” She hissed, fluted ears flattening tightly against the sides of her skull.

[Edaara Tonor]

Edaara followed the other Jedi onto the would-be battlefield, pulling out her lightsaber and igniting it. The bright blue blade lit the ground as she walked forward, to the left of Knight Fenric. She noticed a female Sith with a mask covering her entire face seemed to have set her eyes on her. Edaara did the same, tilting her head at the Sith (@Mockingjay ). She steeled herself, keeping the Force around her, holding onto the light. She knew the Sith would not just fight with sabers, and she was prepared to combat her moves. She stopped about a meter away from the female and raised her lightsaber in front of her, the blue blade illuminating her green skin.

[Tiberius Fenric]

The darksiders’ approach slowed and they seemed to take a more defensive disposition. They were now joined by a third sith making the battle a little more even. It was clear, though, that the youngest of the sith was growing impatient and was eager for the fight to begin. This was made evident to Tiberius as the girl step forward and Tiberius felt the invisible hand of the force wrap around his legs.

There was a sudden jerk and the knight’s feet came out from under him. As the sith had probably intended Tiberius did in fact fall on his ass with a slight grimace, but he quickly countered by sending a wave of force energy back at the charging girl’s torso in an attempt to knock her back, hopefully onto her ass as well.

Regardless of whether Tiberius’ counter made contact with the acolyte the jedi would quickly get back to his feet and prepare himself for the next attack from the Sith by holding his lightsaber at a 45 degree angle across is torso. He thought he had heard the young sith say something, but the knight was too busy righting himself for her words to register any meaning with him.

[Caris Orlan]

Well…this was boring. The Sith advanced in their slow walk while another joined their number. Where had they come from? Draugr seemed to brood, the helmeted one taking an equally defensive stance…only the girl caught his interest. Unknowingly, the Sith were certainly right about one thing. They always did start with some Force trick. Unfortunately for the invaders, two of their little pack had done nothing while only the youngest attacked. Caris didn’t waste any time.

When the Acolyte worked the Force, so did Caris. The Force users walked on stone pavers. A flick of his hand sent them bursting up from beneath the feet of the three closely clustered Sith. How convenient. He was careful to avoid any near Edaara. He aimed to quickly unbalance the trio and hammer the pavers into their legs, knees, and hips. Sure…it was a trick of the Force but an uncommon one with almost no forewarning. It would be very difficult to predict this particular working of the Force, especially when it came from below. The girl would at the very least be distracted by her focus on Tiberius. Caris continued to walk forward.

[Darth Draugr]

As the Jedi walked forward Draugr would take notice of something. The ground beneath him began to move, as he looked down and noticed the stone of which they stood on began to move he knew they would aim to cripple by any means, they feared interaction up close. The Zabrak had to act quickly, in a swift shift of focus in the force he would quickly create a stasis around him stopping the stones around him as they flipped, and he would direct them towards the Jedi, Being a Master of the Dark Side he would have the power to send it with enough inertia to burst through walls that weren't reinforced.

His saber still ready he would use the force on the Jedi Caris looking to return the favor, knowing a counter would come he would put the focus on the Jedi's left leg. His ankle in particular, and with the quickest movement he would twist it left, the Jedi's right. As the Jedi was focused on countering the swarm of stones heading his way he wouldn't have much time to defend against the twist. Nor much focus. Draugr was learning the benefits of keeping the Force in his arsenal.

The walk forward for Draugr continued closing in on Caris and looking to end things for the Jedi once and for all. His Sith counterparts should and would be ready to engage the other Jedi as well.

[Vex]

Vex had always been a quick puzzle solver. And, in this case, she guessed all too quickly what was happening based on the way the Force left one Jedi and spread through the ground like a shockwave. She stopped short of the pavers that had burst up and actually used their momentum for her own attack. Flipping her right saber into a reverse grip, she held it out defensively in-case of a counter attack.

In the meantime, with her left hand, she removed two fingers from her saber and beckoned the pavers to rise further, using the momentum of the first Jedi's (@Valen Pelora) attack to rip the stones out of the ground and send them towards her target's (@Reylo4evr) own knees. She hoped that the sudden reversal of the first Knight's attack would catch her off-guard and present an opening for further attacks.

[Caris Orlan]

OOC: Time out auto hits applied.

Caris watched as the stones burst from the ground. They hammered into the Acolytes hips, knees, and legs. She wore no armor and the stones burst with enough Force to break bones. She did not move to avoid the assault and would be crippled beyond measure. Her time in this fight was over. The masked Sith was clearly focused on Tiberius but Caris was careful not to lose sight of her. She trusted his fellow Knight to handle the woman. Draugr was his responsibility.

The stones came flying back at surprisingly velocity from several sources but there were still several meters between the Jedi and Sith. He pressed the Force out from himself, pushing so as the stones drew close to skimmed wide to avoid him and his companions. The second attack came more swiftly. Caris fortified his body in an instant, but his left leg still skidded to the right side, stopping his advance, and sending a pain up his ankle. He grimaced in soreness. Not broken but twisted. He called the elements as his leg stopped moving. The pavers had reveled the hard backed earth beneath them. Roots and vines burst from the ground to grab at Draugrs legs…wrapping…binding…and stabbing. Come on...let's get started.

[Edaara Tonor]

Edaara just barely managed to dodge the stones the masked Sith (@Mockingjay ) sent towards her knees; Caris made it easier by pushing the stones to either side of their group. She regained her balance and used the momentum from her spin to the side to take the last couple of steps toward the masked Sith. Her saber was still raised, and she swung it at the Sith woman's saber arm. At the same time, she used the Force and a flick of her wrist to knock the woman's feet out from under her. If successful, the woman would fall over backwards; distracted by Edaara's decoy swing.

Edaara placed her left foot behind her to stabilize her, bringing her saber arm inwards, preparing to guard her torso should the woman try a counter-attack.

[Tiberius Fenric]

With the combined attack from both Caris and Tiberius the youngest of the sith seemed to be out of the fight before things really got started. Tiberius couldn’t help but think that perhaps the acolyte should have listened to the words of her superior, Draugr. Things started to get going now, though, as the sith countered with their volley of paver stones sent towards the Jedi. Luckily, Caris deflected the projectiles away from the group using the force.

The battle had started now, but it seemed that Tiberius had been left without a dance partner now that the acolyte was down for the count. The masked sith seemed to have set her sights on Edaara, and Caris and Draugr had unfinished business to attend to.

Tiberius had seen Draugr in battle before and knew that Caris was capable of handling the sith lord on his own, for now. The masked sith on the other hand was an unknown variable. For this reason the knight decided to go and aid Edaara in her fight.

As the masked sith was engaged with the green skinned Jedi Tiberius would close the gap and come in from the sith’s left. As he got closer he used the force to pick up one of the pavers from before and launch it at the head of the masked opponent. He hoped that this attack would be successful, or at the very least a distraction that would create an opening for Edaara to strike. He held his lightsaber at the ready, prepared for the next move of his opponent

[Vex]

Vex had heard of these tricks. She wondered if the Jedi ever came up with new ones. In bladed combat, they tended to go for the legs, so Vex fortified herself, focusing the Force protectively into her legs and feet. She didn't need much concentration there to keep her balance. The Mirialun Jedi (@Reylo4evr) had not pushed at her very hard. This meant that, instead of staggering back as the Jedi had intended, she held her ground and brought her right-handed reverse-gripped lightsaber up to intercept and block the Mirialun's strike. Then, as the Mirialun Jedi pulled her saber arm inward, breaking their clash, Vex kept her saber up defensively, in case the woman decided to strike again.

In the meantime, Vex had not lost all awareness of what was going on around her. The Jedi with the man buns (@Valen Pelora) had made it clear that she could not afford to ignore what the other Jedi in the fight were doing with his last trick. As a consequence, she saw the younger male Jedi (@logan2665) charge at her left from clear on the other side of Draugr, attempting the same trick as his seemingly-much more experienced partner with the paver. It was easy for Vex to lift two fingers off her free left saber and release a casual push that would send the paver right back into the Jedi's face.

They were going to have to do more than hide behind stone tiles to win this fight. @Scoobert @Altaris

 

[Darth Draugr]

As the stone made way to the Jedi, the Knight Caris was able to deflect them enough to save their bodies from serious harm, aside from his leg. His ankle would be twisted enough to restrict use of the leg at full potential. The Jedi's mobility would be hindered which would give enough time for Draugr to defend an attack through the force before the gap between the two was closed.

As the Sith Master made his way forward he would notice vines beginning to grow from the ground with the essence of the force flowing stronger. Roots and vines would begin to try and grab at and stab the legs of the Master. He knew this trick from previous battles, and also knew plants burn. Using the trick he learned possible by Lord Caelestis from the past he would let his legs harness the heat of flames around them, thus burning any root or vine that would come close to his body. As for any that would rise higher to grab the upper half he would use the force to feel any threat incoming and use his blade to cut them down. Master Jaesa was known to use her plant tricks no doubt this was where the trick was from.

The Zabrak was ready for Caris, and he would prepare himself to fight as he moved from the plants, and would make a defensive stance standing still, legs letting scorching heat release, saving himself from any harm below. His saber at a 45 degree angle forward ready to defend any strike from the Knight. Draugr would let him come to the Sith. This would be a battle to remember.

[Edaara Tonor]

Edaara was not too upset that her trick with the Force hadn't worked; she should have known it was too predictable an attack. She noted that Tiberius stood behind her, ready to help if need be. She was grateful, but she hoped it wouldn't come to that.

She swung her saber at the woman's arms, attempting to disable her. The mask piqued her curiosity, so she also reached out with the Force, attempting to pull the mask of the woman's face. While still tugging with the Force, she swung her saber again, this time aiming for the legs. The two women were now face to face, only their sabers separating them.
