To most, it would have been unnoticeable. To most Sith, a whisper. To Nefid, it rang out like a bell, enough to rip her attention from the dramatics of the fight to the death. The Dark Lord’s harmless words oozing with malice worse than the young Twi’lek had ever known.

If Cyutadakyr could look away from Darth Tempest, she might notice a pair of eyes staring intently at her, awaiting her reaction.

A sudden wave of emotion crested the hilltop that was Cyutadakyr's emotional state. She continued to stare at the fair eyed man approached, drink in...well, the air. Grasping the glass in hand, the pureblood glanced at its enhanced contents with a small, half smile. "Let them." she cocked back. "The Master below talked about me once, if you recall." Referring to the previous social event, an apparent highlight for Cyu in her violently short career. @Sreeya

She too in turn noticed a curious absence of Azar's shadow, Kaldar. Perhaps her pureblood counterpart had poisoned him after their last mission, or he'd run away like so many other weak Sith.

It was perhaps wishful thinking to assume the looming lord wouldn't pay her compliments to the champion. It was, after all, her fortress that they were mingling in. Turning her attention towards the Dark Lord, Cyu dipped her head in respect to the rank due. "As did I, my Lord." she responded in turn and elaborating no further. It seemed for now she'd be left to her own devices, but deep down Cyutadakyr felt Tempest purposefully wanted to live rent-free in the purebloods head. @Altaris

Glancing around to enjoy the sights for the first time, she spotted two delicious morsels, eyeing them up just a little bit if they dared look her way. @Volene @TheDudeMike

Not to leave poor Azar in the wake of her dangerous pains, she returned to him as she sipped at his drink. "A little risky accepting a drink from a master of potions, such as yourself, no?" Regardless of his reply, she drained the glass. A little out of the left field, her bemused smile returned, realising they'd barely socialised in the past. "Have you heard anything from home?" And how very little she knew of him. @Sreeya

... and what a disappointing reaction it was. Lust. Stunted passion, glorified urge. Nefid was left wanting in her anticipation.

Keeping her disappointment to herself, she turned her attention back to the fight.

Param glanced over at the man twirling the throwing knife. Really? She kept her feelings in check outwardly, making sure she wouldn't notice the eye roll she performed as she pushed away from the seat. Instead, a disappointed Twi'lek caught her eye. She wasn't at Umbara. Far be it for Param to know most in the Order, but this one seemed to really not be having a good time.

"Hey," Param said, cheerfully, raising a hand. "Kind of disappointing, huh?" She meant no disrespect from it, to the attending Stih or otherwise. It was more just, well, she felt it.

Trael noticed as the acolyte moved away and regarded one of the other sith present. A smile crept under his helmet one of the server droids passed by grabbing a drink as he got up and moved to the back of the platform looking out at the Mustafar skyline. Good she’s able to relax now guess I might as well follow suit. He would think seeming to begin working out a plan.

Pulling one of the personal use tvs to him. Noticing a balcony not far below him he realizing he plan to get a moment of peace was possible he shut down the droid putting it under his arm. Holding his drink firmly he dropped down admiring the view for a bit before going into the adjacent room.

It was empty which made this bit of solitude all the more enjoyable. Turning the droid on and floating it to a corner of the room Trael removed his helmet taking in a deep breath of the fresh air. Running his hands through his hair he lamented that he hadn’t cut it as it was getting too long. Taking a sip from his drink before finishing it he set the glass down. Sitting cross legged he began to meditate using the dark side essence of the planet so he could see what his next move was to be.

Azar gave a respectful bow when the Dark Lord appeared. There was no denying that it was always unpredictable what she would do next. Her focus appeared to be on the other Pureblood for now, and he half expected another choke session. For his part, he quietly sipped from his drink, his face a stoic mask until the exchange completed. His gaze remained on Tempest, completely missing Cyu ogling the two women across the hall. What was Tempest’s end game? She governed with fear, but what were her passions? What drove her at the core? He would find out eventually. Everyone had something hidden under their masks.

He turned to regard Cyu when she spoke, giving her a grin, “A master of potions? You flatter me,” He said. His smile quickly faded at her next question and she would see him noticeably bristle. Azar floated another drink over, doing his same trick to make it stronger before taking a sip, “I did not leave on good terms,” He looked at her, “You?” He considered himself an exile from Korriban and that suited him just fine.

“These may be your last days unless you appease her,” Azar said after a long moment, turning to look at Tempest, “She is not pleased.”

He looked at Cyu again and gave a sheepish smile and a shrug. He knew he was gloomily blunt at times, but the fact that he even said anything suggested that perhaps there was a tinge of concern.

The woman turned to the one who addressed her (@TheDudeMike), then back to the fight. She spoke only through a gesture that meant to wait, that the best was yet to come.

But in the end, the fight really was a letdown. There was none of the spectacle Nefid had hoped for. No words, not that she needed them, but no dread, no self-doubt, no moment of cruel realization. An end that came too quick, two grunts going at it until one of them fell.

Disappointing, her voice resonated in Param’s mind, echoing the girl’s previous words like a confirmation. To the end.

Azar's reply about their mutual home created more questions than it answered. True, it had been some time since she had herself visited, and they weren't exactly coming from the same throngs of life, but she understood. "Neither did I." At least initially. "But I returned and made myself useful." In truth, it wasn't entirely her doing, but at the very least she had managed to undo her exile. It would take far much more work to build anything from it.

She didn't miss the slight drop of emotion behind his next series of words. Her own eyes flickering to the side as the conundrum bared itself once more. "When is she not?" Cyu salted the conversation. It almost felt like the Dark Lord had a particular eye for holding the pureblood back. Perhaps it wasn't that, and instead an elevation of expectation that couldn't be met. Or maybe it was just poor luck.

Cyutadakyr took another step toward Azar, closing the distance to a whisper. The 'master of potions' was also a purveyor of poisons. "If I'm to die, I want it to be on my own terms. Would you help me do that?"

Azar didn’t move as Cyu leaned in close to whisper to him, but the words drew out visible surprise. He didn’t look away from Tempest while she spoke, his yellow eyes studying the Dark Lord while his mind was far away. He gave a curt nod in the end, “There will be no pain,” He assured Cyu calmly. The Pureblood took another sip of his drink.

“We always outsiders here,” Azar said as he finally turned to look at her, “Always,” He reminded her. The battle came to a rather disappointing end, but an end nonetheless. And so another rank gained, another ascension from brute force.

“Perhaps path up for you…lies in Korriban and not here,” Bringing the clans and the houses on Korriban under one banner, the Sith banner, would force Tempest to see the value someone like Cyu brought to the Order. If not, it was her own powerbase to mold. Azar’s own ambitions once aligned to ascension in Korriban, and he certainly had the family name and pedigree for it, but he had yet to mend things with his family.
