Corellia
Location: Coronet City, Corellia.

Target; General-Governor Mezzi Vespuci. An Imperial known for his sharp military and political mind, which has successfully oppressed the population of Corellia for a decade or more. His cunning is only surpassed by his ruthlessness. He keeps a personal security detail consisting of a mix of Special Missions Troopers and Sith Crusaders. His personal bodyguard is a Sith Crusader. He resides at the Imperial Interim Authority building in Coronet City, formerly known as the Coronet City Capitol Building (rebuilt after its destruction in 2ABY). The building is a virtual fortress, defended by elite special mission troopers.

Operation Plan: Governor Vespuci's PSD has emergency plans in case of an attack on Coronet City, which includes Governor Vespuci's evacuation. Via an escape tunnel under the Coronet City Capitol Building, leading to a secret spaceport outside the city, he and his PSD will move off-world by means of a cutting edge Imperial stealth corvette. We will therefor, with the aid of rebel slicers, launch a series of simulated attacks on Corellia. By manipulating Imperial spaceport defenses, we will create out of thin air an invading armada carrying the transponder codes of Defiance Armada. This will cause Vespuci's PSD to attempt to evacuate him. We will meet him and his PSD head on at the hidden spaceport in a well planned ambush. We will use explosives to seal their escape route, and then we will finish him and his men off. As a bonus, we will steal the stealth corvette as a means to get off-world, which will then be delivered to the Rebellion for reverse engineering.

Anaxes
Location: Pols Anaxes, Anaxes

Target: General-Governor Jaq Taraqet. An Imperial statesman who has become known on Anaxes as one of the least authoritarian of his ilk. While he rules with an iron fist, he has also done a lot of good on the planet to ease the lives of the citizens from under the thumb of Imperial occupation. He has been at the cutting edge of political "hearts and minds", and it has become known as the "Taraqet Doctrine" in the Imperium. He has earned the respect of many people on Anaxes, though he is still a representative of a galactic dictatorship. As such, he wil be assassinated. He is guarded by his personal security detail, consisting of handpicked members of the crack Imperial Stormtrooper Corps. Taraqet resides in the Anaxes Authority Citadel, the renamed Anaxes Citadel, which serves as the center of power of the Imperial government on Anaxes.

Operation Plan: No vehicles are allowed on the surface of Anaxes. All transport happens through underground access tubes. We know that Jaq Taraqet is planning a visit to the Imperial Detention Centers and the 91st Infantry Battalion at the time of the execution of this operation. In the preparatory stages of the operation, we have planted tracking equipment on each of his two limousines, allowing us to track him through the acces tubes. That is where we will attack, and assassinate him. He will be well guarded, but using diversionary munitions and simulation devices, we will distract his security detail, forcing them to split up. While part of the force stays behind to face off against a nonexistant enemy, the rest will, in an effort to escape with their protege, move right into an ambush at a location of our choosing. We will cut them off from their reinforcements by collapsing the tunnel behind them, and hijack their communications network to ensure they cannot call for outside reinforcements.

Hey, guys. I've got an idea for the Rebellion that Cobalt newly joined, to launch a coordinated operation against the Imperium. Not a large scale military operation, but an operation revolving around the assassination of a ton of high ranking Imperial officials, Moffs and Grand Moffs mostly, on various Imperial occupied worlds, by teams of say, four rebels each.

I'm thinking that the operation would have been planned for months, the rebels having launched a massive surveillance- and intelligence operation to compose the list of targets, to understand their routines and their security details and the like, and now the time has come to execute the operation as part of the offensives against the Imperium.

I'm just wondering if people are interested, and if this would be allowed by the Powers That Be. If so I could work out more details, such as targets, number of them, security details and the like.

Sounds like the kind of thing that Corto would be well-suited for. If this gets underway, you can count him in.

I'd recommend 2 per planet. Let's not get too ambitious.

As for the targets, I'd recommend the Governor-Generals. They're very high up the food chain, but are only an NPC flavor (no PC is a Governor, except for the Dark Council and Dark Lord). Assassinate governors of planets the Defiance Armada plans on going after.

Sounds good to me. And you're right. Two players per target sounds good.

I'll make sure also to leave it open so that any Imperial players who want to join in for opposition will have ample opportunity to do so. I'll spend a day or two setting up some IC briefings and target data, and then I'll start taking names of volunteers for the various targets. I'll keep you all updated!

Planets I plan on having us work on for now are Sarapin and Corellia. Anaxes is a back-up as well, and there'll be others if thee is enough interest. Two rebels per planet. Details come latah! XD

I can offer my Crusader Mitsuki. She's normally on the front line but has been known to wonder the imperial border looking for Jedi and Sith defectors.

I'm glad so many are intersted. :D

I'm working on battleplans right now. Since the Defiance Armada is finished with Sarapin I instead decided to go with Anaxes as one planet of choice, the other being Corellia, due to the Rebellion's plans there right now. If there is enough interest I might open up a third target thread. For now, stand by for battleplans, and once they're up, let me know which one you guys want in on. Two Rebs and two Imps per thread!

Glad to hear it, guys! I'll edit you in later. Also, Cobalt will work whichever one is left after the next rebel sign up, so choose wisely. :O

How are they getting on Anaxes? It's one of the more secure planets.
