Vanderguff stood in the Yavin archieve section as he waited for his new two apprentices to come. It seemed that they were both mainly looking for training in the force, and that was what Vanderguff specialized in. Yeah, after all he has spent a lot of years honing his skills and today he was going to share them with his students if they proved themselves. Vanderguff then picked a book about the history of Dark lords, and started to read. Of course as the first test for his acolytes he was going to let them meet each other first and then find him in the library.

Yeah, after all a good Sith always used his instinct to find his targets...

Io was glancing across his datapad, loosely studying a holonet file on pre-clone war politics. It seems without the empire, the current republic would fall into a similar trap. He felt reassured, but questioned the necessity to justify the empire. I already know I'm right...

As he wandered the corridors, searching for his instructor, he noticed a presence following him, at times looming close, and the next moment far away. But even though Io was fixated on the dark presence, it seemed to move about without regard for the young acolyte. I suspect I will adapt to feeling someone elses pain linger around me.

As he reached the end of one hall the projected two others, he was conflicted. Perhaps someone vies for my attention. Left, then. Io passed many doors, some filled with students, others empty. He stumbled across a fellow acolyte who appeared to be reading at a glance. This acolyte was tall, likely in his twenties, draped in a dark trench coat. He looked strong, and Io found it hard not to be intimidated.

John Kant had come for his first day of training in a new class on force powers. He was wandering through the halls looking for the classroom when he felt a dark presence in the force. The presence was coming from behind him, so he turned around and went that way. He was so absorbed with this presence and trying to find it that he ran into several other students who were passing him in the hallways. He walked for most of the length of the hallway before he decided to consult his map and see what he could find out from it. He had just started to study the map of the building when he noticed a young acolyte standing before him holding a holonet file. He looked him over and realized that this was the presence that he had been feeling. He figured that it must be someone else in the class and that they were supposed to help each other. He looked at the other acolyte and smiled warmly. "Hi, my name is John Kant. It is a pleasure to meet you. I am here for force training would you possibly be here for the same thing?" He said wanting to see if his theory was correct. He looked around at the seemingly endless row of schoolrooms with wooden doors with small glass windows in them. Every hallway was lit by the same row of industrial lights spread in a line end to end. It seemed that these lights always flickered. He looked down and observed the same white stone floor design that almost every place in which they taught you something had. He then looked back at the acolyte and waited for his reply.

"Pleasure to meet you. I'm Io Sarden. I trust we have the same instructor, Vandergruff, is it? I don't know where he is." Io tried hard to contain his conceded nature. He hadn't ever had a friend, and acting like a jerk now, where he was finally accepted, wouldn't help his chances any. But I don't exactly know how to act friendly...

"Where do you suspect he is?" Io tried to stretch out with the Force, but an acolyte is only so talented. After a moment, he resigned, not allowing himself to show visible symptoms of strain or fatigue. "Should we check the library?"

John looked over at the other acolyte, he seemed to be trying very hard to be friendly. He had seen these kinds of people before when he was in school studying psychology. They had a high amount of anxiety around new people, especially those that they wanted to to like them. John decided to put this acolyte at rest and gave him a very warm and friendly smile. "Yes, indeed, Vandergruff is my instructor. They tell me he is the best at teaching the ways of the force. I am not sure where he is either. I know that he is an avid reader, as any good Sith should be, so the library does seem like an excellent choice. I was just about to head that way myself, Would you care to walk with me? Please do, perhaps we can discuss our training and how we may help each other out in the future, on the way to the library." John turned and began the walk towards the library.

Io nodded his head and followed. The plain halls already began to bore him, and he decided that he would spend most of his recreational time outside, perhaps reading under a tree or meditating in a cave. His mind suddenly stopped at the banality of such thoughts. I've never thought of acting normal... Maybe it would help me. Or maybe I would become dull and ignorant...

"If you don't mind, I would like to ask a question. Do you believe that ignorance is bliss? That happiness is for fools? Or are we all simply ignorant in one fashion or another? I suppose your answer would depend on wether or not you relate ignorance to either wisdom or intelligence, or wether.... I'm babbling, sorry. A lot of second guessing lately."

Io was surprised at his openness, among all the change he had gone through recently. Where ever he was, the environment did little to entertain his mind, so he would have to seek answers on his own from time to time.

Regardless, I'm excited to see this library.

John looked with some wonder at the other acolyte. It was not every day that you met one who thought about such questions. However, he also realized that they would not have time to discuss it before they reached the library and started training so John give this short response "in our line of work ignorance may sometimes be bliss but it's always short lived. I think everyone is ignorant on some topics. I do not relate ignorance to either intelligence or wisdom. I define ignorance as a lack of knowledge. I have heard wisdom defined as a deep understanding and realizing of people, things, events or situations, resulting in the ability to choose or act or inspire to consistently produce the optimum results with a minimum of time, energy or thought, and I have heard intelligence defined as the abilities for abstract thought, understanding, communication, reasoning, learning, planning, emotional intelligence and problem solving; personally I would say that ignorance is not related to either." As he said that they approached the library door. "I would love to carry on this conversation later, but we are at the library." With that John opened up the door to the library and walked in. He spotted Vandergruff and walked up to him. "My lord my name is John Kant. It is a pleasure to meet you sir. I have come to be trained in the ways of the force."

Io stepped through the doorway, and bowed to his teacher. The holobooks on the walls were more inviting than Io had expected, but he decided to focus on training for the time being.

I hope he isn't unnecessarily mean... and I hope he can't read minds...
