Malak sat in the middle of the training room, waiting for his new Padawan, Ateles. He knew nothing about the man, so anything and everything would be a surprise. A bit excited, a smirk found its way to the Jedi Master's face as he patiently prepared for what was ahead.

Ateles walked into the room and looked around confused. Not knowing what to do since he was new, he introduced himself to his new master and said "Hello Master Madora. I look forward to training with you. I want to get very strong.

As soon as his Padawan entered, Malak noticed one thing. He looked almost exactly like his brother, Kalel Kitsune. It made him feel more comfortable around his Padawan that he didn't even know. The Force was evident in Ateles' body, too. This was a good thing.

"It is nice to meet you, also. How long have you been a part of the Jedi, Ateles?"

"Only a few years, I lived on a backwater planet for most of my life. When I left, I immediatley joined the Jedi. Have you had any training with the Force or your lightsaber yet?"

"I've used the force my whole life, but I started training with my lightsaber when I was nine. It is right here. Here you go" He grabs his saber from his belt and ignites his orange saber, and looks up at it. Then hands it to his master so he can look at it.

Malak grabbed the saber, which Ateles obviously wanted him to examine. The Master did exactly that. Grabbing it, he swung it around a couple times, checking out the weight and balance. It was a nicely forged saber, with the weight balanced evenly throughout the hilt. The color of the blade looked pretty cool, too. Once done, he disignited it and handed it back to his Padawan.

"It is a nice lightsaber. Let us see if you are worthy of wielding it."

With that said, the Snake drew his two lightsabers, their deep violet and orange blades erupting into a spectacular show of colors. He got into his stance, motioning for Ateles to begin a spar.

Ateles quickly ignited his saber and got into his stance. Then he ran two steps and slashed at his masters left shoulder.

Malak's right foot slid back, his left blade cutting across his body to block Ateles' slash. With the strike batted to the side, the Master figured his Padawan would be a bit off-balance. With this thought in mind, he launched a quick stab towards Ateles' stomach with his right blade.

Ateles managed to block his masters attack, but was off balance now so he could not get an attack in in time.

Seeing as how his Padawan couldn't manage another attack in time, Malak continued throwing strikes. His next attack was a high slice with his left blade towards Ateles' neck.

Ateles got his balance back but had to quickly block another attack. He did so then spun and stabbed at his masters stamach. Also kicking at his shins to get his master off balance.

Both attacks were straight at him, so Malak simple back-stepped to dodge both attacks. He then stood in his stance again, waiting for Ateles to make an attack.

"Dang it," he mumbled. Ateles then took one step toward him and jumped into the air and sliced down at his masters head. Hoping to get him off balanced ffor a combination attack.

Malak stepped to the side, dodging the attack. At the same time, his right blade cut across to angle Ateles' blade outward and away from himself. The Master's other blade was thrusted forward towards his Padawan's chest. If he couldn't block it, then the blade would be stopped before contact.

Ateles knew he was in trouble and as fast as he can blocked his masters attack, but was so off balance he fell to the ground knowing he would be defeated.

Malak decided that the battle was over. There were some things he needed to go over with him, and the first was his form.

"To begin with, you need to have a firmer grip on your blade. But more importantly, you need to be able to predict the movements of your opponent. That way, you can position yourself for blocks or attacks earlier than usual, giving you an advantage."

"Okay, I will try it." Atelis then got in his normal stance but this time he held his handle much tighter. Not to tight though so he is not stiff. "Is this better master."

"Looks like it."

With those few words said, Malak rushed forward surprisingly, his two blades leading a strike to his Padawan's torso area.

Suprised as he was, Ateles took one step to the side getting out of the way of one blade. Then he blocked his masters left blade. Immediatley after Ateles swung at his masters right shoulder.
