THUSTRA--Onlookers were left in shock today on Thustra when the CEO of MorataCorp, Doctor Ilana Morata (@Killa Ree), known for the invention of the AMS vaccine, was shot in broad daylight while taking a stroll around town with a man who was later revealed to be a Jedi, and also the crown prince of Thustra. The perpetrator has been arrested but recent accounts state that the would-be assassin has committed suicide and died in custody.
"Horrifying. We are horrified," says MorataCorp spokesperson Lindy Huvek. "We here at MorataCorp stand behind our CEO in these tough times and wish her the quickest possible recovery." When asked whether MorataCorp will seek legal action against the Hutt families who allegedly--according to the assassin--orchestrated the attempt, Ms. Huvek shrugged. "It's far too early in the investigation to decide who is behind the attack, and legal action will certainly come at a later time whenever we get to the bottom of the matter."
Doctor Morata is currently hospitalized but reports say that she is talking and interacting with others and is to make a full recovery. Her Jedi bodyguard (@Sreeya) was spotted entering her hospital room, and many have speculated that the two are in fact engaged in a romantic relationship, hidden from the prying eyes of the royal family or the Galactic stage. Whether that is true or not, the Jedi is surely a very close friend of Dr. Morata's.
