.
Eileen Van Alasdaire

Eileen Van Alasdaire was a Vahla female who fought as a Jedi during the Force Eternal era.

Biographytextexttexttexttext

Born to the icy caverns of Rhen Var, deep within the New Vahla settlement, Eileen was gifted with a strong connection to force-sensitives from times past, older still than the Galactic Empire, if her ‘Ma was to be believed. Her grandmother, a weak but spiritually attuned woman, immediately recognized the latent abilities within her granddaughter at a young age, having seen lesser incidents while raising her mother. There they remained for a time, until conflict broke out. Her ‘Ma knew that violence was unavoidable, but nonetheless attempted to quell the ferocious young of her kin. Eileen never saw who fired the first shot, too shocked by the sight of her eldest being swarmed and killed in the ensuing conflict.

As was custom by this time, she was raised to be a healer and scholar, a desperately needed set of skills It was, however, a stressful and dutiful life, one that would prepare her for her future. It was no wonder why the conflict had inspired many youth to leave the planet, but for Eileen there was no choice. Nothing was hidden between her and her parents, her father newly minted in the ensuing battles as a forward commander. Unfortunately, as it became clear he could not keep his daughter from the threat of death and violence, he commanded her to leave the settlement. With her father’s will and mother’s knowledge, she went to find the organization her ‘Ma had always raved about - The Jedi Order.

Luckily, the times of the past were gone, and the Jedi needed no longer hide in the shadows from unseen threats. Though it took a good deal of convincing for any Knight to take on as old and willful and apprentice as she - over six months, in fact - she was eventually taken on for training after an abrupt, uncontrolled but powerful display of healing. Now finding herself a scholar of the Order, she took to learning all she could, and in the years that followed she slowly rose from a Padawan to a young Knight of her own stature.

As her training began to slow down, and Eileen found herself taking on more and more responsibility, the young Vahla elected to take a small leave of absence, to travel back to Rhen Var and her home. There she discovered the terrible remnants of the conflict she’d left behind, an aging but joyful mother, and a father buried in a frozen, shallow grave beside his own parents. In such a short period of her life, everything had changed.

Though family friends had fallen, betrayed one another and murdered in the bloody civil conflicts, Eileen was surprised to find both she and her mother had found equilibrium among the storm. Now, however, was the time for the young Vahla to do her duty as a Knight, and so in what would be their final farewell, Eileen left the New Vahla Settlement, and has served the Order loyally since - never having looked back.

Personality & Traits

Commonly described as a happy-go-lucky sweetheart, Eileen appears to lack much of the discipline outwardly portrayed by her fellow Jedi. In truth, however, she has found a balance between the discipline and herself, never allowing one to overshadow the other. The Vahla wears their heart on their sleeve, yet cautiously guards it, willing to trust yet unwilling to allow that trust to affect her negatively. Eileen is also educated, intelligent and eloquently spoken when necessary, aiding in her healing and diplomatic nature. I combat, she utilized the concept of “No-mind” and allows her instincts and training to take over.

Powers & Abilitiestexttext
Hand to Hand Combat —When a melee weapon is not at hand and a blaster lost to sight, fists yet remain the most reliable solution. Eileen, though built for dexterity, has learned to use her speed to her advantage. She is only formally trained in self-defense, however.

Force powers —As with her fellow Vahla, Eileen has possessed a tangible connection to the Force since birth. Both her Grandmother and Mother taught her what they felt comfortable, with the Jedi completing the training.

Consular — As with the Jedi of times past, Eileen has elected to follow the way of the Diplomat and Scholar. Though her skills with a lightsaber are commendable, her sensitivity to the Light is far stronger by comparison.

Lilianne Coven
FACTION: Independant
RANK: Transport Pilot
SPECIES: Near-Human
AGE: 26
GENDER: Female
HEIGHT: 1.59m
WEIGHT: 60kg
FORCE SENSITIVE: No

Biography

Everyone has weird family members and strange heritage stories. But nobody quite drew the luck like Lilianne and her family did, historically speaking. Between the various galactic and civil conflicts that had overtaken the Galaxy at large, the small Coven family had become an orphanage of sorts for those who had been abandoned or sought refuge.

As with all other members of the adoptive family, they were considered kin. Lilianne’s father, Adair, was an orphan who was raised a Coven, and married into one of the sister families in the settlement. Like most of her interconnected, respectable and sociable family on Rhen Var (which ranged from direct blood relatives to distant second cousins once half-removed) Lilianne learned a trade in her youth. Both she and her father shared a passion for space travel and starships in general, leading to her apprenticeship as a Shipwright on Raxus Secundus.

After having completed her contract and gaining practice and traction as a shipwright as both technician and metalsmith, Lilianne encountered a number of setbacks and financial difficulties. The debts for her education where larger than the sum of credits she could garner working in her current position in the quadrant. As a result, she left Raxus - ignoring and avoiding her debts - instead using her accumulated funds to travel deeper into the core worlds and start a new life.

Now working as a dock worker and transport pilot in Iziz on Onderon, Lilianne continues to hone her technical skills and make as many credits as she can, hoping to start her own foray into entrepreneurship and craftsmanship one day. It’s not uncommon for her to be found selling or offering custom services to any being willing to commission her.

The bedroom door shuddered closed as the Zabrak man withdrew from the day, throwing his shirt to the misshapen pile of clothes on the floor. His eyes wander upwards, glancing keenly into the wardrobe wherein sits a suit of white Beskar armor. It is clear that it had not been worn in some time. But the Galaxy was changing, and the Mandalorians - if rumors were to be believed - had begun to resurge. And those rumor required checking. For as far as he knew, he was the Alor of Clan Rodarch - it’s last member. And if that wasn’t the case, it was his duty to reunite the Rodarch under one banner - though that need not be his.

Pushing the thoughts aside for the moment, the Zabrak settled into the futon he called a bed and pulled the large wool blanket over his body, covering it from the arid climate of Iridonia. The armor had been his father’s, and his father’s before him. And now, it had passed to the Mandalorian’s son - an outsider taught in their ways and inducted into their creed. A foundling of sorts, though not beholden to the Way of the Mandalore. Now, even as dreams took him, his mind filled with the ancient stories of the past. Tales of wars fought, victories won and terrible terrible loss. Tales of the Jedi, the Sith, and of the Republic that would make even the most veteran soldier’s skin crawl. Cu
