Fen could not dance, she could learn a series of movements and go through them robotically from memory. There was nothing organic about them, there was massive room for improvement but Fen had far from given up. She was working hard every single day and was somewhat certain that some day she would be exactly what she was trying to be. It wasn't about learning how to dance, it was about Fen learning, how to be Fen. On realising how far she was behind the rest of the galaxy, Fen was doing her best to put as much of sixteen years into her life as possible, it took time though. Most Jedi her age had been doing this for over a decade, even doing it in a year would be impressive.

Running was also not the same as sword fighting. It seemed that she might not be the only one that needed help, "I will keep practicing, thank you for your help though." Taking the seat Fen placed the baton in her lap and stretched out her legs before adopting the same ridged pose that she always did, "You trained with Cassus, how long did it take you to complete your training to Knight?" It seemed a relatable topic right now, it also made sense to know more about the person who her life seemed to depend upon.

Amaarla nodded to her once. "Cassus may primarily be your Master, but if ever we are here or any of the temples at the same time, or on mission together, you're welcome to come to me at any time." It was not so strictly formal that an apprentice recieve instruction from only one Jedi, or a Jedi can only instruct one apprentice. She and Cassus, after all, had spent almost the entirety of their training together under the same Master. The Togruta folded her hands together in her lap as a smile touched her features. It did not come as a surprise to her that Fen would get around to asking about her and Cassus' training. "I was real young when I came to the Jedi; five standard years. Once I had began my training under a Master, and with Cassus, it was twelve years before I became a Knight. He and I, we recieved our Knightings at the same time. It sounds like a long time, but the reality of it is that a Jedi is always learning and training. We have a long way to go." Her green eyes settled on Fen again. "You mustn't measure yourself compared to those around you. Training has its challenges; you have yours just as we had ours. But it's not meant to be unchallenging and Cassus will push you to your limits."

"I'm not the one measuring myself against others," Fen stated matter-of-factly, which was almost entirely true. Was Amaarla not here because they considered that Fen was not making fast enough progress compared to other Jedi? Because she was finding somethings, most things harder than they seemed to? What about Cassus bringing it up in conversation, if it did not matter then, why? Fen certainly knew it could cause problems for other people with her being the way she was right now, however she had picked the route she saw to be certain in giving the best results. There might be faster ways to be sure, but holding a lightsaber was just one of many things she had to develop. The way she saw was wider, had more steps and far more to learn. It was the long game, the one that didn't leave her being able to use a weapon, the one that left her as a Jedi. No doubt that a person always kept learning, however, they had to start first.

Standing up Fen bowed slightly, "I should go meditate and study before lunch," The chance for breakfast had long passed her buy, "Thank you again for your help." It did not seem the most, grateful of thank yous however Fen was far from accustomed in receiving help from anyone, she did mean it. This session had throw her plan for the day entirely out of whack, she'd have to drop something this afternoon to make up for it, maybe not going for another run until tomorrow?

Amaarla tilted her head ever so slightly as though to listen to Fen that much more closely. Then she gave her a sincere nod and a light smile. "Good." Cassus had not given her a great deal of detail behind his request of her. He had told her simply that Fen needed help with the use of a lightsaber and that Fen was still very much new to the Order. It has been apparent from the beginning, however, that there was far more depth to it than that which he had not told her. It caused her to wonder if it was something that Cassus had eeven noticed.

When Fen stood, so did Amaarla and when Fen gave her bow, she returned the gesture with a bow of her own head. "It was a pleasure to meet you today, Fen. I look forward to the opprotunity to train with you again." The Togruta Jedi Knight clasped her hands together in front of her. "I'm here to help no matter how small or big a thing is." She did not take what Fen said for anything other than what it was, nor did she doubt the girl's sincerity. There was a lot of potential in Fen, it just needed patient guidance.
