Veral was relaxing in the briefing room that he had been told to wait in by some secretary earlier. He was supposed to wait for some official to come and check him out. It was worth it though, if what he had heard about the pay would be for him was true. Besides that, he wanted a group that could use his skills as well as they should be. While working for the pirates, he felt that he had been pretty overqualified. That, and he did not think that he would get fired for wearing a different sort of helmet here.

Veral looked around the room, it was relatively small, but not to the point that it would be uncomfortable. He supposed that it served its purpose. He was wearing normal clothing for once, and it felt odd. He was used to wearing his body armor most of the time. But, the black of his pants matched the chair just as well as his leg armor would have, so it was fine.

Veral was then wonderfully happy that his employers could not read his mind, if they knew that he worried about how well his clothe matched the chair that he was in, he would never ever get a job.

Edona had never trained anyone before and, although she was outwardly very derisory of the topic, she was, inwardly, rather interested by the idea. Although this wouldn't really be a formal 'training' of the types she knew she'd have to do at some point in her career. This was a man who Intelligence had named as 'Veral', and a man they, admittedly, didn't know as much as she'd have liked to know about. The briefing room was ready and set up and, in fact, Edona could have deigned to enter and speak with this man at any point in the last half an hour. However, she'd decided to leave him be and, when no one seemingly arrived, to see how he acted. That was an important part of this training as well. The ability to resist such techniques was necessary for the Intelligence agency, who were prone to getting caught in such circumstances regarding interrogation.

Edona was wearing the black uniform as befitted her status as a member of the Alsakan Intelligence agency, her hair tied back. She wasn't wearing the robes she wore as a Jintu Priest, those having been put away with the change of location and necessity. Of course, she already knew what Veral was wearing; the hidden cameras served their purpose very well. Very good for interrogations, to mentally play with the captive. Although this wasn't an interrogation, it was slightly similar in the way it'd be run and set out. Although Veral wasn't specifically meant to feel he was under an interrogation, of course. For now, he was a guest. However, he'd hopefully soon become an associate and colleague to Edona.

At last deciding that it was time to meet the man in the flesh, Edona exited the room adjacent to the room Veral was currently in, logging off her profile on the Intelligence network she'd used to view the room through. There was a soft sliding sound as her chair slid back over the carpet of the room, and a hiss as the doors automatically opened for her before, tapping a finger on the keypad, she sealed it off to all but those with the proper clearance. Now in the corridor, she proceeded to take one moment to make sure her appearance was professional and as she wanted for this encounter, a small, polished piece of reflective metal she held in her pocket serving as a mirror, before she turned the corner and keyed her access code into the door of the room.

It was as she remembered it, and as she'd seen through the camera system; small, relatively bare, with items in the room being chosen for practicality and not aesthetics, and good for it's use. She found Veral lounging in the chair set forward for him before the desk and, without speaking, Edona crossed over to the heavy, plush chair behind the desk. Seating herself in it, she looked slightly down upon Veral, as the chair allowed, and smiled softly, more a hint of a smile. He looked a young man, around Edona's age, as would confirm what Intelligence had said. "Veral Anati?" She asked. "Or who we believe to be Anati anyway. Please give us some sort of confirmation that you are who you claim; remember, I have a lot of intelligence files regarding 'you' at my disposal."

((Sorry that my posts are so short compared to yours))

Veral almost felt like snickering but he managed to contain it to an almost inaudible "Heh." He would not have lied to them about who he was unless he was here for vastly different reasons that he was now. He supposed that it would be standard procedure, he just didn't expect it to happen at this point in time.

Veral strechted his arms out before he answered, his elbows made a loud cracking sound. That had been from sitting here for so long, in which time he had done fairly close to nothing. His body wasnt used to that, and it showed its protest. He hoped that his interviewer wouldnt find a problem with it.

He quickly looked up at her and smiled, it was more of an excitement smile, as he hadnt gotten a job that seemed like it would be decent for a while. That, and he guessed that there was still a bit of normal young man in him.

"Yeah, I am Veral Anati. Though, you might not like exactly the only way that I seem to be able to prove that." His smile ceased as he put his hand into his pocket, he pulled out a Republic ID from Coruscant. He had no idea how she would take this, but he hoped that his willingness to show who he had previously been would be taken as he meant it.

He placed it onto the desk, and looked at her, now with no expression. He sighed when it touched the table.
"I truly have no other way of trying to prove my ID."

((It's quality, not quantity. It's fine. Besides, it's just a training thread.))

Edona raised one, dark, eyebrow as he seemed to almost laugh at them, yet she ignored it; it didn't seem malicious. Not yet, anyway, and so she proceeded to wait for him to prove who he was. As he smiled at her, she didn't return it, and as he outstretched the ID, she took it, wordlessly. The Republic. The ID was one from the Republic, one from those who the Alsakan Union were at war with. She didn't make any comment as she, wordlessly, looked it over. They'd already shown that he was, by nearly all counts, pretty much already proven to be Veral Anati, and this was merely a formality. Yet it'd do. Nodding once, she pocketed the ID. "You may have this back once we've copied it into our computer databases; we've already pretty much shown you are who you say." She didn't mention who the card came from at all. "Now, what are your skills and techniques?"

((I think that I am dopping out of this. Change of leadership makes me want to place my character somewhere else. Sorry.))
