Well, from the look of things, it seemed that Hannibal had arrived to the scene a tad later than he'd like. There he'd been, simply wandering the streets of this out of the way, neon-lit city, when he'd been alerted by a good number of panicking passerby and the telltale sound of blaster fire. Quickly finishing off his snack he'd gotten from a street stall he'd made his way against the pull of the crowds, slinking skillfully between bodies towards the source of the commotion.

As typical for someone not trying to overtly appear as a Jedi, he was not dressed in his usual colourful robes. Instead he wore a simple white button up shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, a stylish pair of pinstripe trousers, and short black leather boots of excellent quality. Over the ensemble lay a long, green leather overcoat bearing the odd repaired slash or blaster mark in stark contrast to it's well taken care of appearance, while a black cloth hat with a flat top and wide brim sat atop his head, beneath which rounded, neon-pink rounded sunglasses glinted in the light. Short-backed gloves covered his hands, the colourful and detailed tattoos all the way up his arms visible to the shirtsleeves, including the variety of inked-in scars.

On his right thigh was a clearly displayed DG-29 blaster pistol, set to stun as always, an effective way to discourage the aggressive attention of scheming cowards that wandered the multicoloured streets of the city. A lightsaber lay hidden beneath the jacket, attached to a mag holster on an inside pocket. He was mostly trying to avoid undue attention, but he wasn't going to leave his primary weapons behind if he didn't have to.

Considering the number of people removing themselves from the situation, it didn't take Hannibal long to reach the scene of the crime, ID-21 droid Ego in tow directly behind him. A man, a woman, and a droid stood before a storefront and two very unconscious looking individuals. The young man's lips curled upwards into a smirk at the similarity to the beginnings of a bad joke. Ah, if only Talak was here, such that he could force upon him his sense of humor. Ah well, he'd accept a substitute.

Of course, betting on whether or not a Jedi had a sense of humor wasn't one he liked to take. She may be in plainclothes, but the young woman certainly wasn't trying to hide her Light-leaning presence in the Force. Of course, neither was Hannibal. With any luck she was paying attention and would notice.

"So, what's the punchline?" he asked with absolutely no context whatsoever upon his approach while the two lifted the larger of the two people, mischievous grin firmly in place as his eyes swept over the extra large man with a casual air before turning his attention back to the trio. "It's not soylent related, is it? I've always found those jokes kinda tasteless. Just to make sure, are you the good guys in this scenario?" He asked breezily, vaguely motioning towards the three other begins with his left hand.

Brienne noted that the Drunken Hutt sounded like "her kind of place". That did not bear well for Trill. If the Jedi went to the cantina early, it may expose its deceit. Early escape was warranted. The droid was surprised that there was no warrant for Meng's arrest on Corellia; apparently the Sector Ranger was not aware of all of its crimes, or potential connections to the Corellian banks hacker Buzzkill. Not that Trill had any intention to reveal this fact. In fact, it made the hunt for Buzzkill more vital, before there was any chance Meng could blab about Buzzkill - if a connection actually existed.

Brienne pondered where they would take their prizes. Trill spoke up, "Statement: The nearest constable's office is 1.2 kilometers south-southwest." Not that Trill had any intention to serve as tour guide. "I have a shift soon, so I will need to depart immediately." And good thing too. Suddenly there was a new Jedi. However, the way it talked, potentially it was on drugs. What punchline? No joke had been said, or at least that Trill had comprehended. Furthermore, the soylent discussion was non-sensical. Definitely, the Jedi was drunk or high; possibly both. Not giving the Jedi or Sector Ranger a chance to try to protest, Trill began to walk away, though at a normal brisk.

(Trill hasn't fully escaped, he's simply walking away so can be interrupted if desired).

Just as Kanan and Bri were about to depart for the local precinct to deliver their unconscious cargo, another bystander entered the Jedi's periphery vision. She could feel his presence in the Force before turning completely around, so when she did, her eyes went wide with recognition for the briefest of moments. It was Jedi Master Grayza. Bri had not yet been formally introduced to the Jedi Master, but certainly recognized him from visits to Ajan Kloss. Obviously not dressed in his usual colorful robes, but his outfit was still similarly bright, with green trench coat and pink tinted glasses. The obvious question popped into Bri's mind: what's he doing here?

Did I stumble into something bigger than a minor altercation between two criminals? Probably not.
It was possible that he was simply in the right place at the right time, which was a somewhat notable coincidence. Kafrene was a reasonably large trading post and Bri pondered that he was simply out doing some 'shopping' as she was. Likewise, as she had felt his presence in the Force, Bri knew that he could feel hers; and could even tell with a knowing look in his eye that he had discovered her 'secret' identity. While this internal monologue was running through the Jedi's mind, Bri responded with a lighthearted chuckle to his obvious attempt at humor.

"I think this is the part where I tell you its not what it looks like," the Jedi commented back with a grin, responding to his own jest with her own. She rather unceremoniously dropped the criminal back to the ground, offering a brief explanation of the situation, "I was shopping for a new part for my ship, but ended up finding this Sector Ranger," she gestured to Kanan, "in the middle of a mission trying to apprehend our friend the spice dealer, here," she looked down at the unconscious Uta Meng. Realizing the protocol droid was still standing nearby, she added, "oh, and this droid, uh, helped," not entirely sure how to characterize its actions.

Hannibal was actually on this particular planet doing a mix of shopping and information gathering. Knowing what was going on in different parts of the galaxy was something the young Jedi always endeavoured to keep up with and he'd been gathering parts for a project of his in the meantime. It's amazing what one can find outside of typical core world channels when it comes to droid and ship parts.

Somewhere during Brienna's explanation the droid began to walk away and Hannibal's eyes locked on it, eyebrow raised. He moved after the droid at the same brisk pace. "Where ya off to, assassin droid? Busy day killing the waitstaff?" he asked quite a bit louder than was really necessary, right hand neatly slipping his blaster out of the holster while switching it off stun while the left rested against his lightsaber beneath his coat. Hannibal was rather familiar with droid models and the methods of the galactic underworld. Unless he was very mistaken, this was a particularly illegal and expensive infiltration model. Undisguised, oddly enough. Perhaps most wouldn't recognize it at a glance or in a crowd, but standing right in front of him? Absolutely.

There was always the possibility it was reprogrammed or something, but who spends that much money on assassin droid and neuters it that way? Hannibal doubted it. Ego also followed behind, keeping the the TC-SC firmly in its sights at the mention of an assassin like the plucky little recorder he was. Something like a TC-SC showing up in front of him wasn't something Hannibal intended to let wander off easily. The kind of people who owned one were precisely the kind of people Hannibal liked to keep tabs on, after all.

"Drop the blaster and don't move." His tone firmly indicated he wasn't really offering a choice. Hannibal had no problem firing in an area that was devoid of a crowd, particularly at close range. He would fire a shot to center mass if the droid continued to move anywhere, made to take offensive action, or turn around without first dropping the blaster. He was similarly prepared to draw his lightsaber to defend from attack, confident he had the advantage against someone who wasn't even facing toward him. As far as the Jedi Master was concerned, the droid was definitely up to something and would be sticking around one way or another.

Were Trill an organic, it may have let an expletive escape its lips. Thankfully, it lacked such loose lips and wouldn't even think to waste time with such trivial words. However, that did not erase the fact that the droid was quickly attempting to calculate the best way to exfiltrate the situation. After all, the Dread Virus entities had only been operational for a short-while, and while many used TC-SC droid carapaces, they hadn't harassed the Jedi enough to warrant detection... except for what should have been obvious, hint warranted by the selective words used by the Jedi. The Dread Virus entities had selected these bodies to infiltrate because of their beneficial uses, but the bodies were not original creations; they had been used many times in the past as assassin droids. Of course at least some Jedi would have encountered at least one in their lifetime.

The problem was that if it had been one Jedi, Trill calculated it might have had - albeit very low - odds of escaping, causing some chaos that would lead to the Jedi dealing with the pandemonium (all thanks to their bleeding hearts) but with two, one could help anyone hurt while the other continued hunting Trill. Bluffing could work, but unlikely; the Jedi may not know it was a Sith operative, but it did know of the body's legacy. Trill calculated its best odds were to downgrade its threat level. And if it failed, its prime directive fancied, it could try to sow some chaos in captivity; leave the Jedi paranoid that there were way more Dread Virus entities out there.

Trill had stopped immediately upon being called out as an assassin droid. Its processing had occurred in the span of only three seconds. Upon the Jedi Master's encore demanding disarmament, the droid slowly turned around to face the Jedi, making sure to move slowly as not to alarm anyone or give the impression of hostility. In the end, Trill cared little of the Jedi reacted badly and sliced off an arm (unlike pitiful organics, a new arm was easily acquirable), as it would only look bad to the Sector Ranger.

Trill unclasped the blaster it had used to stun Meng, letting it clatter to the ground. Trill's eyes left the Jedi to glance at the blaster. The blaster was not kicked over, so there was a high probability of either Jedi using the Force to fling it away. Recording function operational since the moment the droid turned around, its curiosity sought to record a usage of the Force, entertained by the concept of defying the laws of nature to manipulate reality like that. It was why the Sith Eternal's Force wielders were so preferable; they did not pretend to be mortal mean, fettering themselves intentionally like the Jedi.

"Reminder: As I have already reported, I am heading to the Drunken Hutt. I have a shift soon. Statement: I have disarmed. You have no right to detain me. I have done nothing to warrant arrest. Addendum: Jedi are not law enforcement. Sector Ranger is law enforcement." A weak defense, but the droid calculated the Sector Ranger would be less likely to react negatively; after all, the droid had, non-lethally, aided in apprehending Meng. Granted, while Trill had not denied being an assassin droid, it had not confirmed it.

((OOC: I will be upfront that he does have his second blaster still in the hidden compartment. A good thorough check up close might be able to detect the hidden compartment, but wanted to state it here so it doesn't seem likely I'm pulling it out of no-where on the off-chance it comes into play later, as the blaster dropped was the primary blaster))

Bri had just finished her explanation before the Jedi Master quickly interjected a comment which elicited another flash of emotion on her face. Did he just say assassin droid? The Knight's mind quickly went racing at pace to try and determine if she had either missed something, or stumbled into a scenario that wasn't as innocuous as it had first seemed. Is that why the Jedi Master is here? Bri pondered internally, while watching to see how the droid reacted.

It was always challenging to read the emotions off a droid, especially one that could not change facial expressions. The droid had remained perfectly still, other than a brief halting of its motions, before dropping the blaster it had been holding in a rather mechanical fashion. Bri didn't want to distract anyone from what had quickly become a tense situation, but offered a knowing glance to the Jedi Master.

Only a few brief moments later, the droid offered a similarly mechanical sounding explanation. Bri was quick to catch a few notable snippets. It specifically mentioned Jedi, even though neither she nor Master Grayza had identified themselves as such. The droid had also not denied the accusation of being an assassin. Bri could feel her whole body tense as thedeveloping scene seemed to slowly descend into further confusion. How did I end up in this mess? Somehow a routine shopping trip had ended up with two unconscious criminals and an apparent murder-robot.

Hannibal's usual smirk remained firmly in place as the droid succinctly gave away the game. Few people outside the Order recognized him as a Jedi on sight, particularly when not wearing his robes. Even in the Core where he'd briefly appeared on the news after the attack on the prison, he'd been mentioned more than shown on account of the circumstances. They were not in the Core worlds, nor was Hannibal dressed as a Jedi. Which implied the droid recognized him from some other source. This had unfortunate implications. The Syndicates wouldn't know his face, but the Sith were far more likely after Ender's escape. This possibility did narrow these downs a bit.

On top of that, it hadn't denied being an assassin droid. If it had been properly modified for protocol work, or similar, it would legally be required to conform to such standards. Including being unable to wield weaponry in any fashion. Perhaps the laws on Kafrene were different, but it wasn't exactly the Outer Rim. A weapons-capable assassin droid working at a bar of some kind implied either a front or an outright lie. Either way, the droid had confirmed enough of Hannibal's suspicions. It was attempting what were clearly de-escalation tactics as opposed to a denial. Hannibal's blaster didn't waver, remaining on target and ready to fire if the droid tried something.

The droid's fallen weapon on the other hand was left where it was. Hannibal didn't need to move it. Moving to grab it would only result in it opening itself up to attack, and the Jedi had little fear of a single droid wielding a single blaster pistol.

"True. Jedi are not the law." Hannibal's smirk morphed into a grin in response to the assassin droid's words. It was something the Jedi Master himself had often stated himself. Jedi are keepers of the peace, not the law. He firmly believed in that concept, and so acted accordingly.

Following his prior logic, since the droid knew Hannibal was a Jedi, it was probably expecting him to engage it on conversation or ask it to surrender peacefully. In fairness, even faced with a Dark Sider, Hannibal tended to offer a chance to surrender. This on the other hand was an assassin droid, which also tended to be programmed in some fashion to avoid capture by any means necessary in order to protect their masters. So he took an alternative approach.

"But on the other hand-" Hannibal fired his blaster mid sentence without warning just after he'd responded to the droid, a bolt of cobalt energy flying toward the droid's chest. The Jedi intended to disable it for capture, seeing as a droid lacked the vital organs of a living being, and the torso chassis often contained the primary power core. Hannibal unclipped his concealed lightsaber as he fired, though it remained concealed beneath his coat unless it was needed to start deflecting blaster shots or engage in close combat. He was also wary of the Ranger somewhere off behind him. It was one he hadn't personally met, and although he hoped the man understood situational context, one never knows what to expect.

He couldn't help but feel that Talak had rubbed off on him a little bit in this sort of situation, but he figured he could dwell on that later. Sith equipment could potentially provide a wealth of valuable information, a vital resource in Hannibal's eyes considering they'd declared war. Droid parts could be repaired or replaced, and even a shorted or damaged memory bank could be accessed and psychometric impressions read. Even so, Hannibal was still hoping for a clean takedown. The less chaos the better, and he'd like to capture the droid and get moving in case any of its friends were nearby.

(OOC: Sorry for the massive delay. Thought I had posted my reply but was wrong.)

Chaos was the raison d'etre of the Dread Virus, but it appears that the entity codenamed Trill had failed to fully comprehend that nature. Chaos was the element of discord and disharmony; of course plans would never go as calculated. The Sector Ranger did not interfere, at least fast enough; the Jedi, particularly the male Jedi, was able to operate unabated. This led to a greater aggressive move by the Jedi than predicted, thought to be tempered by the presence of another Jedi and the Sector Ranger who technically should have greater law enforcement authority. The only segment that went as predicted was the confusion by the female Jedi; if this was a trap, she was not in on it.

Mid-sentence the Jedi unleashed a blaster-bolt. The assassin droid carapace was unable to dodge in time, plasma melting into the chassis. While the droid felt no pain, it did mimic the comprehension of panic, for the blast fused part of the metal that slid away for his hidden blaster. The droid had no means of acquiring a new weapon.

In an abstract way, Trill was proud of this outcome. Typically one would not predict this turn of events, particularly by a Jedi. The Jedi were pacifistic and moral to a fault, and this male Jedi shined in aggressive proactivity, willing to take the first strike, to take on violence; for the real world was built on survival of the fittest and the peaceful harmony preached by the blasphemous Jedi creeds defied reality, defied nature. The male Jedi hinted at the evolution of the Jedi into a being closer to the perfection that the Sith strove for, a deification in the Force.

Trill stumbled, spinning slightly before falling to the ground. The droid quickly attempted to stand up, and immediately ran towards the ledge it had previously dispatched a pedestrian's stolen blaster used earlier to entice panic in the crowd when the brawl between shopkeep and criminal had started. As much as the droid wished to herald to the Eternal that a glimmer of hope was found in a Jedi, who potentially could be turned if the Sith played their cards right, it couldn't risk being caught now, to have the Dread Virus as a whole discovered this early in the game. If that meant falling to its demise, to become wreckage where no data could be recovered, so be it. Alas, the earlier strike had slowed its mobility to a degree. As much as the droid hoped it could complete its plan unabated, there was a sliver of time for the Jedi to interfere.

Bri watched as Hannibal and the Droid exchanged, with the Jedi Master conceding that the Jedi were indeed, not law enforcement. That particular point had become an in depth issue, with Bri herself running into Sector Rangers who greatly did not enjoy her presence or ability to 'help' others. Nevertheless, the short conversation ended with punctuation, as Hannibal quickly shot a blaster bolt square in the chest of the droid, causing it to stumble and fall down to the ground. Bri wasn't particularly surprised by the course of actions, trusting the Jedi Master to choose the right methods to proceed. It was apparent he knew about the droid and its violent tendencies. If he had taken the quick opportunity to blast it right on the spot, there was more than likely a good reason for doing so.

The droid fell to the ground with a metallic clunk. Bri looked around for a brief moment, but it seemed like the crowd from earlier had largely dissipated, and the shot from Hannibal's blaster had largely disappeared into the background noise of Kafrene. Mere moments later, it became clear that the laser bolt had not incapacitated the droid, as it quickly got up and began an attempt at escape. It appeared to be headed for the nearby ledge, likely looking to fade into the masses of beings all around them. Bri quickly took off a few seconds later, not checking with the Jedi Master before doing so. "Oh no you don't" she muttered, moving quickly to catch up.

Honestly, the young Jedi had expected the droid to pull off some kind of impressive maneuver to avoid a direct hit. But then again he was firing at extreme close range, barely meters away. He supposed that didn't leave much time to respond. Which was kind of the point of a surprise attack. Hannibal was certainly no stranger to proactive engagement in order to disable a threat, though the main difference between the present situation and others was the simple fact that his target was a droid. Internally the Jedi Master was calm, no hatred or anger colouring his actions. Taking down a possibly-Sith-owned assassin droid was just a matter of gaining an advantage over a crazy cult of magic psycho murderers who had well demonstrated their willingness for slaughter and mayhem.

Hannibal's opening shot had made contact, and as it did, he rushed forward to capitalize on the opening. The Force flowed into and through him, speeding his advance forward as the droid fell to the ground. He fired a second shot during his approach toward the droid's center mass to keep it off balance and ignited his lightsaber. The brilliant silver blade snap-hissed into existence in his left hand and buzzed in a quick wrist-led cut toward the droid as it attempted to rise, a low horizontal blow from left to right meant to bisect the rising machine that came from the same direction it was hastily rising toward. His blaster settled near just above his hip in his left-facing stance, arm drawn back and prepared for close quarters blaster work should the droid evade the initial blow.

The droid had made a couple mistakes. Clearly it hadn't expected him to actually engage it, probably going off some tired old assumptions regarding how Jedi operate. Everyone knew that Jedi were peacekeepers, but many often forgot they were also warriors. Peace and negotiation are the ideal, but in the face of a great threat, peace must be fought for. The Sith had practically declared war over the holonet after their attack on the Coruscant prison, wiped out a Ranger station on Corellia, cut their way through a space station, and quite a few other horrific acts. Personally, Hannibal didn't intend to wait and respond to every pile of corpses the Sith left behind after the fact. If this assassin droid was indeed a Sith agent of some kind, then taking it down was only a matter of course even if he failed to recover a datacore.

The second mistake was assuming the Jedi Master wouldn't immediately follow up his initial attack and moving to escape without guarding itself. The Sith prisoner escaping on Coruscant had shown Hannibal what happened when he hesitated, and taking down Sol Puara with Talak had shown him what happened when he didn't. Hannibal's intention was to cut down the droid, and he would stick to it and his vicious offense until it was a non-threat one way or another. But still, he was internally calm. He was well-trained and experienced after all, despite his youth. Aside from durasteel-clad determination and focus, and despite the grin evident on his face, he had all the internal emotional response of a man cutting through a lamp post.

The female Jedi raced to advance on Trill shortly after the male Jedi's first assault. However, before she could reach Trill, the male Jedi's second attack struck, imbalancing the droid. That second attack had been just as harmful, if not more, debilitating the droid from moving much. However, the third attack was the coup de grace, turning the Dread Virus entity into a Darth Maul cosplayer.

The droid calculated whatever move it could make, failing to find the perfect solution. Though it possessed the body of an assassin droid body like a poltergeist, its programming was not as combat-savvy, as if driving a less-familiar car. Had it been programmed as a true assassin droid, it may have taken to its body more immaculately, and had thwarted the Jedi's machinations. Alas, the chaos of randomness of all these factors found one of the few Dread Virus entities operating outside of Sith Space had just been neutralized by Jedi. That it could still think indicated that the Jedi likely avoided damaging the data core, hoping to take the data intact.

A husky static of a voice escaped the droid's vocal capabilities. "Defiance: Self-Destruct in... Error: Self-Destruct inoperable." The latter an almost-automatic report wisped from the body's functions more so than the Dread Virus entity, the report generated when the self-destruct function failed to activate thanks to damage from the male Jedi's attacks; it would never reveal such a defect, in fact it would capitalize on it by making the Jedi retreat or destroy it so it could not be captured. The Dread Virus had been designed to propagate despair, but its designers likely didn't intend for it to unintentionally invoke a hopeless situation for the Dread Virus entity itself. Trill's solace was that the Jedi appeared to defy stereotype indoctrined in its programming about how Jedi acted, pacifists to a fault; perhaps it would be destroyed outright, preventing exposure.

Before Bri reached the droid, her Jedi colleague had taken quick action to disable their target. A followup shot was fired to keep it off balance, before he ignited his saber and struck the droid in half with a blink-and-you'll-miss-it slice. The Knight halted her run so as not to get in the Jedi Master's way, slowing her approach as it appeared the 'murder-bot' not carried less of a threat.

It tumbled to the ground in a series of metallic clanks and clunks, a static affected voice offering a message of self-destruct, before correcting itself as the function appeared no longer operable. Whatever this thing was it definitely wasn't a protocol droid. Standard issue helper droids didn't just blow themselves up after being disengaged.

Bri took a booted foot and nudged the bottom half of the droid, trying to decipher what she had missed that Master Grayza had not. She searched for any kind of distinguishing mark or brand, glancing her analytical eyes up and down. Without looking over at the other Jedi, Bri asked, "What.....what is this thing?"

Hannibal was midway through another follow-through in his assault when he noticed the droid was saying something about a failed self destruct. He narrowed his eyes at it, but his sense of danger wasn't warning him of anything so he figured it was something automatic. The young Jedi stood up straight and holstered his blaster, the tip of his weapon continuing to point at the fallen upper half of the droid. Well then, what to do with it?

"A relatively uncommon model of infiltration droid, if I remember right. The design is distinctively skeletal," he answered Brienna, tilting his head slightly as he looked at it, surveying the damage he'd done. Some of the chest plates were fused, but the blaster damage seemed mostly superficial rather than functional. The droid was definitely missing its legs though, so that was something. He used his now free right hand to triple-click his commlink, signalling his astromech to bring a speeder. Hannibal decided further disassembly should probably be done with tools rather than a lightsaber, though he did kick away the fallen blaster just in case. The machine still had arms.

"This is the part where you surrender without giving me a hard time, if you don't mind," the Jedi Master directed down at the droid in a friendly tone, otherwise content to wait for the speeder to show up for transport and a restraining bolt. Not that he wouldn't go for any troublesome limbs that tried something, but again, lightsaber-based disassembly required replacement parts, and Hannibal figured he could make use of this particular model in the near future.

"I'll be taking it with me. Gotta see what's in it, 'n such. Apologies for interrupting your day."

The variables now answered the equation of the male Jedi's hostilities. The man knew the body's origins. The Dread Virus entity should have been more cautious, but it lived to be illogical at times. Still, it had led to its capture. The droid's arms were barely functioning; not enough to warrant acting like a threat in order to be destroyed.

The droid's eyes began to flicker, power relays damaged. "Declaration: You will get nothing out of of of mmm..." The eyes dimmed in brightness, systems shutting down. The droid wasn't irreparably damaged, only shut down. Bad for Trill, but good for the Jedi. If they were smart, they'd still put a restraining bolt on it just in case.

Infiltration droid? Bri looked over at Hannibal with a raised eyebrow, and then back down at the droid. She had been prepared to run into all sorts of unique individuals on Kafrene, but definitely had to admit that some sort of strange, infiltration/assassin droid was not one of them. Part of her felt bad for not recognizing the danger, especially in front of one of her peers, but resolved to spend her next session in the library researching the type of droid that lay on the ground in front of her. As Hannibal inspected it further, he kicked away its blaster and expressed that he'd be taking it with him for further study.

"Oh, don't worry about it," Bri shrugged off the Jedi Master's concern with a slight wave of her hand. The day had lost its productivity when the shop they were supposed to be purchasing a part from ended up being some kind of front for criminal activity. She turned around, but didn't see the Ranger or injured shopkeeper. He must've taken them to the nearest station.

Almost as if on cue, NL reappeared from its hiding spot, starting a fast and energetic series of beeps and sounds explaining why the whole situation was not its fault. Bri held a hand out to get it to stop. "Yeah, yeah, I know. We'll chalk this one up as a misadventure." The droid, pleased its argument was accepted, rolled slowly near the downed droid on the ground and attempted a scan of some sort, no doubt saving data for the future.

Hannibal chuckled shortly at the downed droid's stubbornness. It was to be expected, but it was still sort of funny how much personality a droid could have or be programmed with. After a couple of seconds of apparent inactivity, and a basic scan from Ego confirming its power systems were damaged - in this case burned through, so damaged was a little light of a term - he shrugged, deactivated his lightsaber, and replaced it on the under-arm mag holster where it belonged. Which is when he noticed his coat was no longer arranged across his shoulders. Whoops.

"Works for me," he replied, turning away from the droid and walking over to retrieve his coat, fallen off when he rushed forward to engage the droid. Hannibal brushed it off a little before folding it into a neat little square on his way back to the droid. He could already hear the distinctive rumble of the Arcene's modified engine closing in the distance, considering the close proximity to the spaceport. It would arrive in minutes, and then the assassin droid could be properly restrained and loaded up. Excellent.

"Misadventure indeed. I was not ready for today. What're you on this planet for, anyway?" he asked Brienne out of curiosity. The Jedi Master had just stopped for fuel and a few common spare parts for his old as all hell freighter and decided to wander around out of sheer boredom. He grinned at the other Jedi, a mischievous glint forming in his eyes.

"You weren't here to meet up with that handsome Ranger were ya? 'Cause that-" he turned to find said Ranger and discovered he had already karked off. "Aw, c'mon. This is less fun if there's only one of you. Well, whatever. What're you here for?"

The small crowd that had stopped to watch the scene unfold slowly began to dissipate after Hannibal had extinguished his lightsaber. Anyone else who was remaining, Bri tried to shoo away with the wave of her hand. Most shrugged and sauntered off, no doubt eager to find the next deal in one of the thousands of shops on Kafrene. Speaking of. Bri looked down at her droid partner momentarily. It didn't seem to notice.

Bri knelt down in front of the incapacitated droid observing some of the parts a little closer, trying to add to her own mental library. What was it doing here? The Jedi looked back as Hannibal reapproached after getting his coat that had fallen off during the action. She stood back up as he spoke.

Handsome Ranger? Bri felt her head shift backwards reactively, confused by the question. Of all the skills that the Chandrilan excelled in, recognizing and responding to any kind of romantically linked comments was far and away on the bottom of the list.

"Oh, uh, no," she stammered out quickly, shaking her head. "We had just run into each other when this thing showed up," she looked back down at the assassin droid.

"My droid and I," she tilted her head downwards to NL, "were here to find a deal on a part my ship needs. But the shopkeeper," she looked back at the busted store behind them, "turned out to be a criminal, so here we are." NL proceeded to begin another lengthy explanation in beeps and sounds that it had not known the shop was criminally linked in any way when it had identified the deal. Bri held her hand out to get it to stop.

Taking the brief pause to introduce herself, Bri held her hand out. "Sorry, I'm Bri by the way, Brienna Lanaamer,"

Hannibal's grin widened slightly, a glint of mischievous energy behind them. "Just a run in, eh? Fair enough. Life's funny that way." The young Jedi was briefly amused by the droid's binary insistence of innocent, raising an eyebrow at it, but he turned back to the young woman as she introduced herself.

The Jedi Master reached out his gloved right hand and firmly grasped Bri's, shaking it twice.
"Not a problem. Hannibal Grayza, at your service," he said cheerily, right about when Arcene made itself know by its characteristic rumbling engine and chromium shell. It slid to a stop a couple meters to their right, the doors sliding open. An astromech within warbled a question about it being an emergency, to which Hannibal shook his way.

"Shí qǐ. Wǒmen zǒule," he informed the droid in rapid Epicant, walking over to the speeder to retrieve a restraining bolt and binding cable from the back. He got to work applying both to the droid, affixing the bolt in place and tying its arms together before retrieving the cut-off bits. Might as well take them, right?

"Try Zimar's, a little farther from the port. No deals, but he haggles," he offered Bri as he packed the droid into the behind-the-seat storage area. "Do offer my apologies to the ranger if ya see him again, yeah? I'm sure he has better things to do than write up extra paperwork 'cause a Jedi showed up."

"It certainly is," Bri replied with an emphatic nod and grin. In her past experiences, she rarely counted coincidences as pure moments of chance or luck. The Force worked in mysterious ways, though still allotting for the necessary amount of personal choice and determination. She wondered where the Sector Ranger who had since departed fitted into this most recent equation.

The Jedi grasped the outstretched hand and returned the shake and forceful grip. "Nice to meet you," came a simple follow up. The introduction was ended by the arrival of Hannibal's speeder. Bri raised her eyebrows and offered a low whistle, looking impressed. "Wow, nice speeder." The Jedi took a few steps forward and to the side to admire it closer. Sure is a far cry from what I pilot. NL looked up at its partner, seemingly reading her mind and wishing to offer a correction that it did more of the flying that the human woman. Bri caught a glance of the droid and nodded in agreement, if somewhat begrudgingly.

Bri turned back to face Hannibal as he spoke while loading up the assassin droid onto the speeder. She nodded with a smile. "Thanks for the tip. We'll check it out." At the same time, NL rolled off to find a nearby connection port, seeking more information on 'Zimar's'. "And, will do, I'm sure its probably fine." Bri added, "hopefully," with a soft laugh.
