DESCRIPTION​

Designed and manufactured by Blackwell Automata, the droidworks branch of the mega corporation Blackwell Technologies, the BAS-55 is a general purpose and affordable security droid, although more up to date, they are still comparable in performance with the YD-series security droids.

Like the YD, the BAS has no integrated weapons but are capable of wielding most small arms like blasters with proficiency and capable in melee combat.

BAS Droids usually have a voice modulator with deep bass, to help with intimidation. The BAS follows their owner's commands to the letter, even coldly, not hesitating to use force when it's clear a threat will not comply.

BAS-55 Droids are not as commonly fielded as the YD Droids, they are usually utilized for more wealthier clients for private security, such as for a noble's estate or for security for more important installations for larger businesses although there are exceptions. Their sleeker design and their manufacture's branding makes more appealing for wealthier clients.

LEGALITY​

Restricted. Being combat models, these droids require special permits and licensing for ownership in most regions.
