Battle of Cathar

The Battle of Cathar was the second battle of the Mandalorian Warsbefore the Mandalorians invaded the Galactic Republic, as the Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders under the leadership of Mandalore the Ultimate conquered worlds just outside of the Republic space. It resulted in the virtual extinctionof the Cathar species. It would later be the event that resulted in Revan's Jedi faction joining the war.

I've read the site's story, but I couldn't glean what the actual years was anywhere, so I thought I'd ask to make sure: has this conflict happened yet? Is it recent, far in the past? Or does this event not exist in this timeline?

As for why, I'm interested in making a Mandalorian character, but possibly not a human one. I've always liked the cathar, but I know this has made them have sort of a... strained relationship with Mandalorians. Would it be viable to have one as a Mandalorian?

I don't believe those events to be canon any longer. SWRP follows nuCanon which dismantled most of the EU. So I don't think the Mando/Cathar relationship would suffer in any way on the site.
