The Sith had been relentless in their expansion efforts, and it was clear they wouldn’t stop anytime soon. Taris had been a huge blow, just as Denon and Spirana had been. FWA was rapidly realizing that the scattered military approach wasn’t the best one. There was no united, single army to take on the efficient war machine of the Sith.

However, there were certainly planets that wanted to fight back. Some of the border worlds had grown nervous about the Sith rapidly gaining territory up against them. Several planets that weren’t too far from Old Sith Space had banded together to begin an outward push in an attempt to remove Sith forces from bordering planets.

Sevrin Valtiere was not a man that spent too much time pontificating in temples. He had worked with some planetary forces within the FWA to help make a push to strike back against the Sith. Felucia was a central hub despite being a forest planet. Snatching it from Sith hands would also mean removing a critical planet in the Perlemian trade route.

The Jedi Knight landed on the planet’s surface after the initial fighting in space had allowed them an opening. However, victory would only be possible if it were obtained on ground. The Sephi landed with several FWA troops that were pooled from border planets.

There was a Sith base about 60 meters away. Since there was a battle going on above, and this was Sith controlled, they had the home advantage. The attackers, however, had the cover of thick forests that spanned the entire way up to the base to provide plenty of cover.

Sevrin was adorned in standard Jedi robes save for some saber resistant bracers on his arms. He had two sabers on him as well, but no armor outside of that. Even with his height, he was able to find plenty of cover in the trees. His sharp eyes allowed him to drink in details of the base ahead, watching soldiers beginning to patrol the roof. He would have to rapidly formulate a plan of approach to effectively take the base.

Successfully removing the Sith from here would potentially remove their influence from several surrounding planets as well.

Bir had come to Felucia some time ago, hoping to find solitude and a reprieve from the blood shed that had so consumed his life in recents months. Flashes of his past had become a common occurrence and he was unsure of how to curb them, keep them from dominating his mind and reminding him of what once was rather than looking forward to what could be. Here, on this damp and overgrown world of which he had visited in his past life, he sought to find such answers through meditation. Perhaps an opportunity to piece together what was now shattered through self-reflection. Or was that just the Jedi in him talking, bubbling to the surface after each passing day? Nothing was the same anymore…

Bir was broken from his meditation as a sudden chill shot down his spine, covered eyes opening behind goggles as the tremor through the Force alerted him of what was to come. Fighting had begun above Felucia, this much he knew. It was only a matter of time until the invaders would break through the blockade and make their way to the base, but resistance would be fierce. It needed to be. Without so much as speaking a word, Bir still enveloped by the senses of anger and betrayal that permeated him in his contemplation, the Kel Dor rose and departed his quarters within the outpost to investigate the disturbance.

He would find himself atop the palisade that divided the outpost from the jungle beyond, his black hood pulled over his head as he scanned the wilds for any sign of what had disturbed him. Arms of metal and flesh folded across his torso, his single lightsaber hanging from his belt, he remained on guard. Something was out there, waiting… Preparing…

”One Jedi, two Jedi, three Jedi, four…” Bir muttered as he panned his attention across the scene before him. ”I’m going to spill your guts on the jungle floor,” A high pitched chuckle followed, earning a look of concern from the surrounding troopers.

Jaesa was not the best fighter. Until not so long ago, she had considered her average abilities to be the least of her concerns. But while exploring an old Jedi Temple on Telos, she had been beaten down and taunted by a Sith who caught her off guard. She was angry--no, disappointed--in herself for her lack of preparedness so she had trained every day since then. This would be the ultimate test of her mettle.

She landed on the planet's surface, exiting the ship swiftly behind the troops on the transport and leaping up into the trees. She carried nothing with her but her lightsaber and determination. So help her if she saw that bastard on the battlefield. She stayed close to the initial landing point at first, then slowly made her way up hidden in the trees with the rest of the Jedi.

The temporary stationing in Felucia was enough to piss Xeno off. He hated planets with this much flora. Luckily he wasn't on guard duty outside. No he was inside being briefed on a future mission he would be set on. A simple two or three man mission to a distant planet. Sorry these details are confidential. Aside from his briefing he would be studying what advantages the base had. It was decent base. The Sith always outdid themselves.

Mid way through a brief there were alarms and a report from the troops that the planet of Felucia was now under attack from the Jedi and Rangers. Of course it's when I get stuck here. A group of troops were running through the halls. Xeno ran out of the room and caught up to them.

"You six are under my command now, let's go!"

Running to the nearest exit to the ground levels, Xeno would be looking for any sort of advantage on the Jedi who were sure to be coming for this base. Nothing that interested Xeno too much was around. He knew there were many troops around and anti air turrets on the base. Could be of use against the Rangers. The one thing that intrigued the Zabrak Marauder was tyhat the base had the high ground. Meaning the Jedi would be at a disadvantage if they got close enough. Xeno was going to make sure they couldn't make it close enough to the base anyhow.

Making it to the exit he ran out and began to have the troops begin a 360 security. The base would have protection on all sides. This would give the Sith a better defense. It did disperse many troops but the troops they had were suffice and more were on the way.

"Come on you Jedi scum, come meet your end. This Son of Dathomir is ready for you!"

Xenon stood 40 meters from the base. Any and all Jedi that were to come before him would be met by an anger fueled Zabrak capable of taking on many forms of fighters. His power levels were much higher than when he had been on Taris. The mistakes made before were remembered and now there was an unlikely advantage the Jedi had against him.

Ruzaan was in way over his head. Despite his recent training with Yvain, he had only limited combat experience and had never crossed blades with a Sith before. Now, as a fully-fledged invasion was underway on the planet of Felucia, he barely registered that this was the seventh planet he'd been on in his life. Instead, he grappled with the realization that he was about to help invade a Sith planet with a training lightsaber.

The holonet flicks made war seem like a glorious thing, but he was very quickly learning that was not the case. As he struggled to keep up with the Dathomarian Zabrak in front of him, the Togruta padawan flinched every time he heard an explosion in the distance, trying to block out the cries of the wounded in the distance. He had his double-bladed training lightsaber, his Jedi Wanderer robes, a short-range comlink, and his utility belt. He'd left his lunch somewhere back in the jungle.

The scars on her back knotted, taut with tension held between her shoulder blades.

The pain was clarifying. It cleansed her mind of all that didn't matter. There was only the battle, the inevitable war that dragged all into its' depths. The pain was inevitable. The screams, the blood, all of it brought on an icy, sharp edge to every sense, coated every synapse with a delicious, thrilling awareness. Withdrawal pain fueled the fire that burned in her veins, and it brought with it a keen awareness. It was bracing, this pain, and it made her apathetic.

Scared little rabbits trembled in the bushes, and she hungered.

Where the others waited for the Jedi to come in the trees to face them head-on, she could be more patient.

They had to take the base, after all. And she would be prepared to fill the hallways with those Light scum's blood. Violet eyes burned as they looked over the security feed inside; depending on where allies were needed the most, she would bide her time. Let them come to the base. She couldn't wait for these new playthings to arrive.

Her hand tightened on her belt where her lightsaber nestled. They would come. She would be ready.

The last time Kanan had stepped foot on Felucia was in response to an infestation of Acklay. A secluded Felucian village had been plagued by Acklay attacking their farms and kinsmen. Small in stature and farmers by nature, they had called out to the galaxy for help. Kanan had answered the call and met up with one of the few people left in the galaxy he had a close connection to, a Mandalorian warrior who'd saved his life more times than he could count. Together, the two of them had traveled deep into the jungle to deal with the troublesome Acklay. Despite almost being drowned in a river by a Felucian Ripper and eaten by a Sarlacc pit, the Sector Ranger had good memories associated with Felucia thanks to his Mandalorian companion.

But all of that had been before the Sith decided to set up shop on the jungle planet. This time around, Kanan was here to deal with an infestation much more problematic and worrisome than Acklay: Sith. The Sith were ruthless in their conquest of the Outer Rim.

Despite the victory at Byblos, it felt as if the Free Worlds Alliance and Jedi repelled the Sith one step backward only for the Sith to take two steps forward. The Sith expansion caused planets bordering their territory to grow increasingly nervous with every passing day, wondering if they were next to be conquered. Instead of waiting around to find out, they had decided to take the fight to the Sith before the Sith could bring it to them. Kanan admired their moxie.

He had been on a routine assignment on the neighboring planet of Rhen Var when he'd been pulled away, along with several other rangers, to assist in the liberation of Felucia. They were to work alongside the Jedi, a union that was becoming more of a regular occurrence these days.

Kanan had been a Sector Ranger for over a decade now and like most rangers had seen his fare share of scraps, but he still couldn't help but wonder if he was in over his head. It didn't matter. He had a job to do, even if the odds were stacked against him. He hadn't joined the Sector Rangers for the retirement plan, after all. It was as bad as the pay.

The Jedi Order was in steep need of allies these days what with a war moving onwards across the galaxy. With no galactic army to rely on like in the days of old, the Jedi were forced to rely on more unconventional reinforcements.

Jedi Master @Drow Venn was currently planning his own assault on a Sith planet but, having heard of the upcoming invasion, he'd reached out to a few of his pilot contacts he'd garnered from the underworld to help out. Because of this, the beleaguered FWA troops and stalwart Jedi were bolstered by the handful of mercenaries that were crazy and desperate enough to accept the meager credits that the Jedi were able to pool together from the profits their new orchard brought in.

Dusty Daytonus was one of those desperate crazies.

His YV-545 light freighter, the Faraway Fancy, screamed out of the sky, leaving behind two husks of Sith fighters in its wake. Although he and the Fancy had been hired ostensibly to transport troops and supplies to the ground, Dusty had insisted on taking what he called "the scenic route" and had flown straight into a duo of patrolling TIE fighters on the way down from space to the surface of Felucia. Leading them on a merry chase and laughing manically the whole way, he had been able to take out both fighters before landing on a clearing in the jungle floor. The troopers onboard quickly disembarked to join @Jaesa Valerin , many of them feeling safer on land in the middle of a warzone than flying in Dusty's ship for another minute.

"Hoo wee boys! Let's get a crackin! Dusty wants some new fighters to add to his nose!" the daredevil Glymphid screamed into his commlink, referring to his noseart which had paintings of every fighter he'd ever taken down. As of yet, it was tragically devoid of any Sith ships but that would change today. Once all the troopers and supplies had exited the Fancy, Dusty would take off again, ready to receive orders to either rejoin the space battle above or help out the ground troops here. Having been one of the few Jedi-allied ships to make it through the blockade unscathed, the Glymphid pilot was aware of the valuable nature of his presence on the battlefield.

The jungle. Despite the carnage and violence that was certain to come, Isen felt perfectly at ease. He had come to love the jungles and forests across the galaxy. They were dangerous, filled with ferocious beasts, dangerous plants, and hidden pitfalls. Nonetheless, Isen spent more time in the wilderness than temples and cities combined over the last three or four years. He learned to commune with the Force in a way that he did not know was possible and few Jedi taught. He became very adept at taming and bonding with the wild fauna, even having relative success with the apex predators. His journey to using the Force as the great mediator between himself and the living flora was well underway.

Many might consider the entire "become one with the jungle" a bunch of hokey nonsense, but Isen knew it was possible. He knew that it was possible because he routinely did exactly that. This wilderness specialization along with his constant and aptitude for martial combat, had been the emphasis of his training after being knighted by the Jedi Council. When he learned that the fight was to be taken directly to the Sith on a jungle planet, nobody was going to be able to prevent Isen from being there. This is precisely the environment where he would thrive.

Isen left all pretense of peace and negotiation on the ship. Leather pants and knee high boots were the only bit of protection he had. He went sleeveless, wearing only a beige undertunic so he would have full range of motion for the fight ahead of him. The two lightsabers with cobalt blades he created as a Padawan hung on his belt, and the two lightsabers with blades he purified to white were buttoned away in a sheath pouch connected to his Jedi utility belt behind him.

He walked up beside Sevrin (@Sreeya ) and said, "Right or wrong, I'm looking forward to this scrap." His eyes were set straight ahead through the vegetation at the Sith outpost. His words were spoken with no emotion, despite the words themselves lending themselves to anticipation or excitement. Isen, now in his early 20's had topped out at 6'4" himself, and turned those eyes toward the Sephi, who he could almost stand eye to eye with. "It's an honor to fight side by side with you with again, Sevrin. I'd wager the people in that base won't be as excited about these prospects in a few moments."

Zara had come to Felucia on behalf of her Master, Lord Raze. The intent was merely to into into several interests on the planet. Experiments and testing facilities that her Master required and update for. The huntress was pleased to venture to the planet. Much of the world's fauna and predators reminded the Dathomirian of her home.

She was intending on keeping her presents on the world mostly secrete, and she was only here to observe. However as the battle broke out above her, she realized that would be impossible. Knowing both of her Master and her Queen both had interests on the world she would send a message informing them of the invasion. Both to Darth Raze, and @Darth Andruil .

The Huntress then cloaked herself in the Shadow and slipped into the jungle to strike when the opportunity presented. She was wearing her standard gear. Including her Sith armor, and her lightsaber. However leaving behind the pistol on her ship. This would be her first real test and a member of the Sith. And she intended to test her skill verse a worthy adversary and their skill alone.

When Jaikus had brought his starfighter to rest on Felucia only days ago, he had intended his stay on the jungle planet to be an monotonous affair. His recent expedition to Telos had been.. More eventful, than he had originally anticipated. Instead of being left to his own devices in those abandoned ruins, he had instead been thrust into fighting against a particularly vexing Dathomirian Jedi. While he had managed to defeat her in combat in rather short order, the wretched woman had managed to one get one final snub in at him, preventing him from pressing any deeper into the temple and seeking his true prize. Sulking and left empty-handed, Felucia had meant to be a place for him to lick his wounds and make his plans for the future. A chance for meditation and recuperation.

Clearly, he wasn’t going to get any of that.

Mere days after his arrival, the planet had come under siege by the Jedi and a collective of FWA forces. While certainly unexpected to those stationed on the planet, the current siege for the jungle planet was hardly surprising in the grand scheme of things. Felucia was an important point on the Perlemian Trade route, and its loss would devastate the budding economic power of Sith-controlled space. Perhaps more importantly, Felucia sat as a gateway into the heart of Sith space. Its loss would be a devastating blow, and it would give the Jedi and Free Worlds Alliance a staging ground for future invasions of Sith-aligned planets. Frankly, it was not a loss they could tolerate.

Garbed in his dark cloak and combat leathers, Jaikus began to make his way through the base. Chaos and commotion filled the halls as Sith and troopers alike moved into position, taking up arms and finding their place to await the coming assault. Jaikus had briefly considered taking a place on the front lines alongside the more psychopathic of his peers, waiting for the Jedi to charge him head on, but the Axxilan had quickly decided against it. Out there, he was would have been exposed and in the open for the enemy to swarm. Instead, he resolved to remain hidden within the halls of the base – a predator lurking in the shadows, waiting to pounce upon his unsuspecting prey. If the Jedi wanted to make progress into the fortress, he would make them bleed for it with every ambush and stab in the back. Smirking, the Sith ignited his saber with a low hiss, keeping the vermillion blade low and to the side of his body.

And now he waited.

Felucia. Vahn had heard many stories about the planet, but he had never had reason to visit it before. As the freighter he’d taken to the fight landed in a covered copse of umbrella capped “trees”, Vahn took a moment to admire the scene. Felucia really was a sight to behold. He had been to few planets that had anywhere near the level of color saturation in its natural flora. Fiery reds, purples, mingled with toxic greens and muddy browns of the soft earth. Felucia wasn’t a beautiful planet, but it was magnificent to behold. For a moment, Vahn found himself strangely at peace. Then reality came back to him as a towering mushroom tower was incinerated by stray blaster fire and came crashing down. This world would be so much prettier without it burning under blaster fire. He swore to himself that he’d return some day when the planet was at peace, just to extend his senses and feel the ebb and flow of The Force in this natural, still untamed world.

But now. Now however he had a task. The Sith had occupied this world and He thought bitterly back to Taris and the perhaps inevitable betrayal by the Oligarchs. He’d stewed in his own resentment for days before Sevrin had made this proposal, and Vahn had jumped at the opportunity. Anything to work out the coiled bonds of anger and frustration in his heart. The Sith were still threatening the galaxy, and he couldn’t let his own emotions drive him into inaction while lives were at stake. His hands curled into fists as he followed the cover of the land towards the rendezvous point where he knew Jaesa, Ruzaan, and other members of the attack team were gathering.

Vahn was sure to keep himself equipped properly. His Wanderer robes were replaced with a similar pair, similarly armored in places, lightsaber resistant material woven into a pair of vambraces. The whites and silvers he normally wore had been replaced with dark greens and blacks, allowing him to blend into the shadows of the ground-level of Felucia under the standing fungal “trees”. Two sabers hung from his utility belt, while a cloth sling was thrown across his back and tied in the front where he had a small array of hand-held explosives in addition to concussives, and smoke dispensers. His darts were fixed in their usual locations; a worn leather wrap around his left vambrace, and a small spread in a pouch to the rear of his right hip.

Matte black boots made little sound as he picked his way across the ground to where he could set up at the tree under Jaesa, with the young padawan Ruzaan nearby.

“Jaesa. Ruzaan, stay close to me,” the newly minted Master said as he approached, his gaze turned towards the direction that he knew the Sith were waiting. “The battlefield will give you tunnel vision and threaten to draw you out of position, don’t let that happen. If you can’t hear my voice, you’re too far away.”

Vahn’s gaze caught the young togruta standing there. He appraised the youth’s gear carefully. He had always disapproved of padawans entering battlefields against the Sith since his experiences at Denon, but the young Jedi was here now, and Vahn felt responsible. Then Ruzaan’s saber caught his attention and Vahn cocked a dark brow. Was that a training saber from the temple?

“Ruzaan, let me see that.” He started, only to quickly move in and take the saber from the padawan. He flipped it in his grasp briefly, and he examined the weapon. Indeed, it was a training saber, much like he’d had when he was younger. “You’re not going to be doing much of anything with it like this,” he continued. Vahn fiddled with the settings. The weapon was laid out much like his own when he was a young learner, and there was a brief electric hum for a moment as he switched the saber onto its emergency function; from safe, harmless training device to lethal weapon. He handed the saber back to the young Togruta.

“I think we’re going to have to have a talk after this. I've got a host of stories to tell. But for now, stay close,” already his own, silver and black saber was in his hand.

If he was to be honest Artorigas was here now on Felucia for purely selfish reasons. The Sith Noble had just been on nearby Liana supervising the construction on a new line of TIE's for himself and the Sith Eternal and was just about to bolt through Hyperspace back to Serenno and the comforts of his bed and hall when the call had come out about a battle of Felucia. He had toyed with the prospect of ignoring the call, it did not fully concern him if the Sith had a set back as long as they kept moving along and he kept being able to do what he wished but then it came to him.

Artorigas needed support and good will from those above and what better way to gather said support than defend one of their worlds. And so that is why Artorigas was here, the TIE Hunter he had borrowed from Liana had slipped him through the space combat above, his codes as a Sith allowing him quick access through there lines and down onto the defending lines. He exited the fighter still clad in his Personal Armour, he snapped the helmet on a small hiss signalling that the seal was tight and he was now locked away from the outside world.

As he stalked through the now bustling and chaos induced base he watched a few known faces rush by, both Xeno and Bir were here that was interesting he thought. The trio seemed to constantly run into each other which was both a blessing and a curse. Passing a hidden Sith (@Jaikus Altaris) Artorigas mounted the stairs leading up to the outer wall to get a good view over the coming battlefield. A few soldiers were to either side of them, they seemed tense and afraid though some of this seemed to shift when they spotted the Sith towering next to them.

Twisting his head he spotted a women (@Deva Gendrel) deeper back within the compound to his right @Bir Vuul slightly further along upon the wall blurting out something Artorigas could only guess was a form of gibberish that the Kel Dor liked to call intimidation. He looked out further to see if he could find @Xeno Brogroo and spotted the Dathmorian out ahead of the group. Tapping the side of his helmet he opened the comm channel to those around him, hoping the Sith had the common sense to keep some form of communication on him. "Xeno, it is Artorigas. Move back you are on your own out there. You will be surrounded and killed if you don't retreat towards our lines." Artorigas hoped the Zabrak listened but he had met and worked with the man enough times to know that his hot headiness could sometimes get in the way of his mental capacity. Keeping the line open to all he spoke to the currently assembled group. "Some of you have already realised this, but they need to come to us. There is no need for us to overextend, wait for them to make the first move and then counter attack without mercy." Perhaps some of that Dark Side was creeping in he thought. "We are the Fire!" He said subconsciously, the motto of his House.

The siren song of war called to those bloodthirsty hunters of the Sith, marauders and thieves of life and limb. Darth Stolas could not immediately respond with his personal squadron, bogged down in business on the other side of Sith space. But when he sounded the call black-hearted monsters heard and answered, sharp-clawed and eager.

Shorkattatha was on the prowl, having joined the fighting in orbit not long after it'd begun to assist in screening for landing craft. His Blackfin blastboat, piloted by himself and his astromech "Fix", utilized heavy forward firepower to aggressively discourage ships from running the blockade. One such vessel had passed the screen through several fighters and the Wookiee followed in behind, unwilling to let prey spryly pass by him so easily.

The Maw roared in through the atmosphere tracking the YV-545. The freighter offloaded its cargo of soldiers and the Blackfin approached from its rear as it took off again, still out of weapons range but rapidly approaching to directly engage. Weapons were powered, shields were up, and the grayback madclaw desired new trophies for his wall of skins and skulls, dearly in need of shattered shards of ships.

Ruzaan wrinkled his nose against the scent of smoldering giant mushroom as a hail of blaster fire cut down the massive fungi. He and Jaesa had to be getting close to the base, but the dense vegetation of Felucia obscured their objective. It really would be a beautiful planet if it wasn't being torn to pieces by the latest conflict between the Jedi and the Sith.

For not the first time, Ruzaan wished that there were more allies in the immediate vicinity. He was comforted by Jaesa's presence; as his superior in the Order he naturally looked up to her, but on Shili an akul hunt usually took a half dozen warriors... and Sith were far more dangerous than akul.

Then a quiet, composed voice registered on his conscious and the unmistakable Force signature of Jedi Master Vahn Berand washed over him. Ruzaan froze, expecting to be reprimanded- he had, after all, snuck aboard the landing craft- but instead Master Vahn took Ruzaan's lightsaber and fiddled with it.

"You're not going to be doing much of anything with it like this" Vahn said while adjusting the weapon. He handed it back to Ruzaan, and the look in the Jedi Master's eyes told Ruzaan that he now held a lethal weapon.

"Thank you, Master" Ruzaan said, staring at his lightsaber. Had it been capable of this the entire time? He'd gone on nearly half a dozen missions armed with what amounted to a glowstick! His pride at bearing a Jedi's weapon was quickly deflated by Vahn's next words. A talk? Uh oh. I'm in trouble...

Swallowing his fears about that upcoming conversation, Ruzaan silently followed behind Vahn and Jaesa.

Jaesa quickly noticed that the padawan was following her and felt a rush of anxiety fill her chest. But it quickly dissipated as she reminded herself that she didn't have time to worry. He was here and she would do her best to protect him, but she wasn't going to waste energy worrying about it.

"Come on you Jedi scum, come meet your end. This Son of Dathomir is ready for you!"

Jaesa's head snapped from the padawan behind her to the sound of a man's voice through the trees. Son of Dathomir? There was another Dathomirian here? A Sith? Some sort of feeling she could not explain rose in her. Fear? Worry? Excitment? Curiosity? The Knight shook her head and motioned her and Ruzaan forward, making sure he stayed well within her sight. She had to see who this "Son of Dathomir" was.

Jaesa made her way not too far from the edge of the forest, able to pin point the location of the red zabrak male. It wasn't hard to fin him; he was surrounded by a dozen or so guards and was radiating an unmistakably hateful energy. He looked...so familiar.

"You’re not going to be doing much of anything with it like this."

Jaesa turned her head away from the zabrak at the sound of Vahn's voice. Oh good. Him being here calmed a lot of her nerves. While she'd only seen him fight pirates, she knew the Master Jedi was a damn good fighter. It was a good thing he'd noticed the padawan's saber as well--she probably would have noticed too late.

The Knight turned back to face the tower--and the zabrak--and ignited her lightsaber. She was ready.

"If you fellas down there can help ole Dusty knock down the bug chasing me, I can help y'all blast through the base!" Dusty radioed to his allies on the ground, mainly as a tactical courtesy. Indeed, the Glymphid pilot was rather hoping that this duel would be decided between him and the other pilot. From what Dusty remembered abut the Blackfin-class Blastboat, it outmatched his YV-54 in just about every major way in terms of dogfighting. It was faster, with more armaments and roughly the same amount of maneuverability and shield power. While other pilots might tremble at the thought of such a match-up, Dusty lived for it. This was the kind of thrilling adrenaline rush that got him out of his cot in the morning.

"Hey bucko! May the best pilot win!" Dusty sent a comm message over to Shorkattatha. Whether or not the Wookiee would choose to accept the call was up to the Sith.

With so much stacked against him in this aerial duel, Dusty knew the only way to actually win this fight was by thinking smart and acting fast. He kept his current course towards the base, all the while angling his ventral cannon to face the rear and transferred all shield power to the rear deflector shields. Since the base was only 60 meters away from where Dusty had spit out the troops, he'd be able to quickly cover that distance in his freighter.

His forward-facing dorsal cannon, he let blast hell upon the walls and turrets of the Sith base as he angled the ship to fly towards the base itself, dodging and weaving in a serpentine pattern in and around the base. His vental cannon however, would be firing upon the blastboat itself. This would have a twofold effect. One, it would make the pilot of the Blastboat seriously think about opening up on him for fear of damaging the base with every miss and from taking fire from the rear-facing ventral cannon. Secondly, the fire from Dusty's dorsal cannon would no doubt damage the wall's and interior of the base and hopefully cause some structural damage and casualties for his allies to take advantage of. As he flew and fired on the base, he'd be dodging and weaving in a serpentine pattern.

"Easy, buddy." he said soothingly to his astromech as he flew .

Sevrin could make out several Sith that chose to stay close to the base. With the Sith having the benefit of a base, the Jedi had to get smart about this. The Sephi temporarily looked to Isen when the man arrived by him, nodding in response. Isen had come a long way since his days as a padawan and being involved in multiple attacks against the Sith. The Jedi had proven extremely reliable and with a strong sense of duty. He had also seen the mistakes of Jedi storming a base.

“The honor is mine, Knight Ramm,” Sevrin said quietly, “Truly,” Few Jedi had been brave enough to stand against the enemy as often as Isen. He was the perfect candidate for a Shadow.

“We need to begin hitting the base,” Sevrin glanced back towards the building, “We’re operating at a disadvantage,” The Sephi gazed at him for a moment with a glint of fire in his eye, “We’ll have to get creative.”

With that, Sevrin brought up his comlink that connected to the FWA channels, “Need support to breach the base. Too risky to just storm it,” The chatter back suggested that they were getting help from military vehicles as well. Sevrin looked around to make sure that there were no Sith in his immediate vicinity before he began to move deeper into the forest and to the side.

His goal was to intercept an AT walker that was making its way towards the base under the cover of trees. Sevrin wanted to ensure it had a clear path. He wouldn’t engage any Sith unless they attempted to stop him first.

"Relax, kid. Just stay close to me. And stay low."
Vahn said to Ruzaan.

He hunkered down in the undergrowth, crouched low as he tucked in against a tree nearby to Jaesa. He had heard the Dathomir Sith’s challenge distantly as he approached, but now he leaned around the trunk of the tree, keeping his profile low to observe the distance between the tree line and the base. It was a formidable construction. Thick walls, defensive emplacements, and a strong gate. They’d have to find some way to weaken the opposition before they made an attack. A frontal assault would be suicidal.

However, Vahn immediately saw an opening. The Dathomiran Sith Xeno (@Scoobert ) was alone, and currently supported only by a small number of Sith Troopers. He raised a gloved hand through the vegetation, fingers outstretched. From this angle the troopers with Xeno would have to swing wide to get a good angle on him, as he kept himself barely exposed. It would be difficult to even get a bead on their target with him making sure to blend in against the foliage. However, all he needed was to get his eyes on the Marauder.

Xeno would quickly feel the Force wrapping about him. The tides of energy quickly manifested as a nigh-irresistible telekinetic Pull that would rip him from his feet as if some unseen chain had been wrapped about him and launched him from his exposed position outside of the base towards the tree line. There, the Jedi waited for their first catch of the day.

“Jaesa, catch! Ruzaan, defense!” Vahn shouted as he Pulled on the Marauder.

The battle above Felucia for space superiority had begun, and as a result, the Sith in the base were busy fortifying themselves. They must have figured there was a ground assault coming which was good bet considering the fighting above. One of the Sith even started yelling taunts into the wilderness. As such, Isen agreed with Sevrin about a full-on assault the base. It would likely turn into a slaughterhouse, and the Jedi would be the ones hanging from the meat hooks. While creativity wasn't necessarily Isen's specialty, good strategy was something that Isen considered a strength of his. Still the ever the aggressive type, but his experience had taught him patience.

He walked with the Sephi, reaching out into the jungles around them, allowing his essence to penetrate the forest and search for what living creatures may be nearby. There were multiple reasons for this. First and foremost, it would be a damn shame for the Jedi to trot upon one of the bull jungle rancors that patrolled this wilderness, particularly one with an empty stomach. Second, Isen decided to specialize in taming and bonding with wild beasts right after gaining knighthood, and in the jungle, it was a good bet that an ally could be found.

He soon saw the AT-TE that Sevrin decided to escort. Likewise, Isen wasn't interested in engaging the Sith just yet. Besides, his reaching out with the Force had touched something...no, some things...Predators. But not sentient or semi-sentient. The rancor was out of the question, but whatever species they may be, they were big, and they were aggressive.

He told Sevrin as he looked over his shoulder in the direction of where he could sense the beasts to be, "I'll cover you a ways, but we have trouble behind us. The natural kind." He grinned slightly as he looked back to Sevrin. "But I think I can recruit them. I've been persuasive in situations like this in the past."

But first, he would accompany Sevrin a little closer to the walker.
