APPEARANCE:
Bel appears like most of his cast of Nightbrothers, with red skinned, black tattoos, and a crown of small horns. Black robes and other forms of darker clothing are usually what Bel prefers in his wardrobe, but he's not opposed to trying something if the situation warrants. He is a leaner caste of warrior, but is still in good enough shape to call himself as such.
ATTRIBUTES:
Bel is a tactful and agile opponent on the battlefield. He is proficient with most other weapons besides just his normal lightsaber and only actually uses his scarlet blade on those he deems worthy of it. Whether it be improvising mid battle or changing tactics and delivering new orders, Bel is quite capable of shifting the tide against a winning enemy. His skills in a starship are above average as well and make him stand out a little more amid the common caste of soldiers.
Outside of combat, Bel still uses his intellect to observe those around him to make careful deductions of those he meets. While some Sith prefer using the Force to torture information out of others, Bel simply probes his targets by merely asking simple questions to better 'acquaint' himself with them. Speaking of the Force, his focus usually involves improving himself physically over his enemies because he believes himself to already be one step ahead of them mentally. Otherwise, he has a pretty good grasp on the basic abilities that come with honing the Force.
PERSONALITY:
Bel is laid back and mostly keeps to himself. He's never been shy of conversation or making new friends. When the situation warrants, he'll make sly comments and brash jokes, but never intends to offend and usually tries to diffuse situations with his words rather than start something unnecessary. Otherwise, you can count on Bel to be an admirable and respectful soldier. He knows his place and station and respects those that are above him, but expects the respect he deserves from those bellow as well.
One of the reasons why Bel joined the ISB instead of taking the more traditional path of Sith Champion was because he never enjoyed the effects of the Dark Side had on him. Noting that he is proficient in most Force abilities, he prefers to use more neutral powers opposed to Dark Side oriented ones. It always makes him feel uncomfortable, which is one of the reasons why he thinks his clan dislikes him.
Deep down inside, Bel believes that he'll never be enough for those around him. However, instead of moping around in self pity, he desperately seeks the approval of others even if he hardly knows them. This ambition was what aloud him to rise to his station in such a short period of time. His loyalty has always been to the Queen of Dathomir and he hopes to earn her highest respects one day.
BIOGRAPHY:
Bel's life on Dathomir was similar to most of the Nightbrothers of his clan. He grew up to become a hunter and warrior fit enough to serve his Queen in anyway he could. However, Bel decided that he wanted to serve her in the Empire during her time as Empress. He applied and went through rigorous training at an ISB academy on Malastare where he quickly became an Agent for the Empire.
It was also on Malastare that he honed his abilities with the Force to greater improve his skills and worth to the Empire. However, back on Dathomir, he still felt...inadequate. Or at east compared to his fellow Nightbrothers. Maybe it was the unimpressed look his Clan's leader always gave him, or the way his older Nightbrothers disregarded him, but ever since he was little, Bel wanted to prove himself. Being neglected by his own people for reasons still unknown to himself was what really pushed him to rise above the basic caste.
The "Black Hats" had drawn Bel's interest since he was just a boy. It was the reason why he chose to become an ISB Agent instead of a stereotypical Sith Champion. He thought that if he could get in with one of the most fearsome special ops units in the galaxy, he'd gain everyone's respect. Maybe even the Queen, herself.
Unbeknownst to him, Bel is the offspring of Raksis Hiraaks, who went delusional after a lost battle and sought to destroy the Sith from within. When word reached back to the Clan of Raksis' disgrace, they wanted nothing to do with him and never mourned his death.
